Outside of Sherman, Seahawk players only trash talk in retaliation to when other teams (i.e. San Francisco) trash talk them. Seahawks play the game hard and play the game the right way.
Tonight's game was a perfect example of a championship calibre team digging deep and finding a way to make the impossible possible.

I don't know. Even though they came on late in the season, I still had trouble taking them seriously. They lost at home to the Bucs and the Saints this season and were handled relatively easily by the Jets. It was hard to imagine them competing for the conference title.

Broncos hired Raven's Gary Kubiack as their new head coach.
Was teased prior to the Pats-Colts game but the Colts are currently working out on a new deal for Andrew Luck to make him the highest paid player in the NFL. Rumored to be in the $25 million per year range.
Falcons preparing to hire Seattle's Dan Quinn as their new head coach. Kyle Shanahan got hired as their new offensive coordinator.

Evil Vito
01-19-2015, 10:50 PM
I think it'd be silly for anybody to think the Pats wouldn't have won that game without deflating the footballs. That being said if they're able to conclusively determine that they did it, I hope they get punished worse than SpyGate. It doesn't matter if the violation is far less severe, the fact is they've been caught cheating before and now may be cheating again.
They lost a first round pick for SpyGate, so I'd probably start with banning them from participating in the first two days of the draft, meaning they don't pick until round 4. Harsh? Yes. But if these cheating allegations wind up being true it's pretty clear the leadership in that organization is encouraging it.
The NFL would never do it though. The Patriots would simply appeal and probably win or get the sanctions lessened.
Haven't read any replies yet. I just want to say some things.
First and foremost, the Colts got the shit kicked out of them. Anyone who's been here since 2004, knows I've lived this story before. Manning got the shit kicked out of him for years before he finally flipped the switch. I hate it!
From what I've read, the Colts didn't initiate this investigation. Im tired of hearing the sore loser narrative. The fact is, the Patriots have been caught cheating before. Its no one's fault but their own. And if they actually did deflate the balls, its so fucking lame on so many levels and sad really. They are a really good team. They don't need to cheat like that. It's pathetic. I have a feeling this will go away quietly.

Lots of "BUZZ" lately about Eagles wanting to draft Mariota. Obviously. I don't think they'll be able to draft him because they'll have to give up way too much to move up.
Curious though, would find it hilarious if during the Combine etc if he just fuckin taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanked it to drop his draft stock, giving the Eagles a better shot to draft him. Kelly obviously knows what he's capable of already so it's not like he'd be scared. Probably some sort of NFL rules against doing that or else stuff like that would have happened by now. Also be costing himself millions because of the draft pay structure.
Would just be easier to trade to get ahead like the Browns did with Manziel last year.

Small twist to Deflate-Gate today had Aaron Rodgers publicly complaining the refs themselves deflate the balls too much. Believes most QBs in the league would rather have the balls be deflated more while he'd rather have them be inflated a lot more.
Also revealed Peyton Manning was the mastermind to why the ball and air rules were changed years ago.

Might be the best for Belichick to retire after this season regardless if the Pats win the SB or not.
Too much of a dark cloud with him around and a chunk of the league has grown too paranoid with over-blowing things he didn't do wrong (ex. Ravens and the trick plays).
Between this and what Rodgers revealed, wouldn't be surprised if the league goes back to full control over all game balls after this season.

I've long though Bellicheck was the best coach ever....now I'm starting to wonder how much of the time his teams spent figuring out ways to skirt the rules and/or outright cheat without getting caught.
Either way, considering the punishment Sean Payton got for bountygate, even though he was said to have no direct involvement, if Bill isn't suspended for the entirety of next season it is pure shenanigans. Remember what you said to Sean, Goodell; "You're the coach, if you didn't know it was going on, you should have."

It's going to be draft picks, fines etc. It's not anything violent like Payton and The Saints were accused of. There's nothing to equate the two alleged cheating accusations. He will not be banned for a season for this. I don't get why you can even think that they are relate-able at all.
Besides what Goddell said to Payton was blown up in his face with the Ray Rice video scandal. He has no leg to stand on using that as a heavy punishment basis.

Bountygate wasn't cheating, though. Players were getting paid to potentially hurt other players. Guess what? In football you are going to hit other people as hard as you can every time, regardless of a bounty, because it's your job. People are going to get hurt either way. Sure, it was an unsavory tactic, but in reality it did absolutely NOTHING to change the outcome of games or put teams on uneven playing fields.

Math is hard and all, but the legal range has a 1 PSI difference. 12.5 to 13.5 Pats balls were found to be around 2 PSI short. Colts balls were found to all be within the legal limits (they did not announce the measured PSI of the Colts balls yet that I've seen. Only that they were legal.)
So even if the Colts filled their balls to the max limit, which we don't know of yet, and the Pats were to fill theirs to the lowest legal limit, which seems to be the indication according to Brady's clarification of his 2011 interview about him liking deflated balls (he clarified by saying he likes balls to be 12.5 PSI), where does the 1 PSI discrepancy come into play? (A note.. if they were filled higher than 12.5, then this would mean there was more than 2 PSI -lost- through this whole process, creating an even bigger discrepancy)
Colts balls would have been just as affected by the weather and being used. Yet theirs, when measured, couldn't have been less than 12.5, as they were all found to be legal. Meaning at most, they had a 1 PSI drop in pressure.
The Patriot balls on the other hand, have repeatedly been said to have been approximately 2 PSI short, indicating a much higher loss in the same conditions.
Now, consider that we don't know what the Colts balls measured at... what if they weren't even filled to the max pressure at first? What if they were in the middle, or even at the lower end of the spectrum? This would mean they lost even less air than is being assumed.
So how do they account for the discrepancy?
