Cincy's Vontaze Burfict facing a possible suspension from the league after tape of him deliberately stomping on LeGarrette Blount's leg after the end of a play surfaced.

Already had an incident earlier in the Pats-Bengals game in regards to him pulling a cheap shot-like tackle to Martellus Bennett's knee.

NFL considering suspending Josh Brown again because of the new documents even though he already served a suspension for this domestic violence incident earlier in the season.

NFL also ended up just fining Vontaze Burfict for the dirty hits he did during the Pats-Bengals game. Fined $75k as a punishment.

NFL got trashed by the sheriff who was in charge of the Josh Brown domestic violence case.

NFL tried to claim they never had access to all the evidence available nor were aware of how serious the situation involving Brown and his wife was.

Sheriff stated NFL half-assed their original investigation since there was more evidence available the NFL refused to use. Reports from the media revealed the NFL knew about Brown's domestic problems and even provided protection on at least one occasion to his wife from the abuse.

Pats traded LB Jamie Collins to the Browns in return for a 3rd/4th Round draft pick.

Pretty much guaranteed Chargers are leaving San Diego. New stadium ballot question got rejected during last night's election. Only got 43% approval but needed at least 66% to pass due to California laws related to special tax hikes needed to pay for it.

Team has until January 15th to make a decision on its future with the options being stay in San Diego and try to muster up a new stadium deal or bolt for LA since the Raiders picked Vegas as their new future home.

Tony Romo is currently rumored to want a trade or play for the Broncos next season. He's also looking at a few other teams as options but Broncos are rumored to be his first choice at the moment.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Romo is looking at the Broncos for 2017.

Rapoport said on Sunday that Romo "already has eyes on the Broncos as a possible destination if (Denver) general manager John Elway decides Paxton Lynch needs another year and that Trevor Siemian isn't the guy."

Other destination options for Romo could include the Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals and Buffalo Bills, according to Rapoport.

City of Oakland trying one last attempt to keep the team there after an early agreement on a new stadium was made.

Even though they are denying it, NFL rumored to be considering dropping Thursday Night games for future seasons as part of the things to be discussed during this offseason.

Current contract for Thursday games ends after next season.

The NFL just issued a statement saying, “We are fully committed to Thursday Night Football, and any reports to the contrary are unfounded.” The report in question comes from respected NFL writer Mike Florio, founder of NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalk.com. Citing a source, he says the league will consider “the possibility of ending, or at least limiting, Thursday Night Football.” The current deal for the package shared by CBS and NBC expires after next season; the games also air on the league-owned NFL Network and are streamed on Twitter.

Florio says the league’s options include sidelining the Thursday games outright or perhaps starting the package on Thanksgiving each year and continuing throughout the season, “with games likely to generate broad interest selected in April for November/December programming.”

According to ESPN, Chargers set to make an official announcement of them moving to LA by next month regardless of San Diego's latest efforts on a new stadium deal.

Barring a miracle, the San Diego Chargers are expected to exercise the team's option to move to Los Angeles in 2017, sources told ESPN's Jim Trotter ...

Chargers chairman Dean Spanos has to alert the league that he intends to exercise that option by next month's deadline.

Moving to LA has a pricey catch for the team though.

The Chargers have a tenant-lease agreement with Rams owner Stan Kroenke that lowers the team's risk because they do not have to borrow money for construction of the $2.6 billion project.

The Rams and Chargers would jointly share revenue such as naming rights, suites, sponsors and advertising. The teams would be on their own to sell season tickets and personal seat licenses ...

However, the risk for Spanos is that the franchise would be on the hook for a $650 million relocation fee paid over 10 years, determined during the January owners meeting in Houston.

The Chargers also would have to purchase land and construct a practice facility, which would cost tens of millions of dollars.

Bills expected to fire Rex Ryan after today's game against the Browns according to ESPN. GM rumored to be keeping his job at least for one more year.

NFL rumored to be fining the Giants for using walkies-talkies during last week's game against the Cowboys. Already some teams are complaining its not going to be enough and want at least a draft pick included in the punishment.
Coaches are not allowed to hold any two-way radios during a game, but Giants head coach Ben McAdoo was seen on the sidelines holding the walkie-talkie when it was apparent the team was having trouble getting the plays into Eli Manning.
Giants coach Ben McAdoo said he has been on an NFL sideline before when there were communication problems, but that was before the new system for communications was put into place this season.

One NFL source said that even though the Giants weren't communicating with Manning within 15 seconds of the play clock ending, they had the "opportunity" to do it, in addition for it being illegal to have the walkie-talkies. The same source said this was worse than what the Cleveland Browns did, when they ultimately lost a draft pick for in-game communications during the 2014 season between former general manager Ray Farmer and former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.

Still don't get how it makes any sense to fire a coach at this point in the season while his team is still alive in the playoff hunt.

They need to win their last three (Cle, Mia, @ NYJ... Very possible)
They need Baltimore to lose 2 of thier last 3 (Phi, @ Pit, @ Cin... Very possible they lose those two road division games although Droford will be here soon to tell you they're locks.)
They need Miami to lose in week 17 to New England (Very possible)
They need Houston OR Tennessee to lose 2 out of their last 3. (They play each other in week 17 so that's also very possible.)
They need Denver to lose to New England today and to Oakland in week 17 (Possible)

Is it LIKELY that all of those outcomes work out in their favor? Probably not. But there's at least a chance. If Buffalo wins and Denver loses along with Houston or Tennessee then it makes no sense to fire Rex Ryan. What's the upside? Not like you're gonna pull Bill Parcells out of retirement or something for the final two games of the season anyway.

Vikings ended up having a small scare occur with their flight to Green Bay.

The Vikings' plane skidded off the runway on a snowy night at Appleton International Airport and slid into the grass while taxiing after landing.

Everyone on the plane was fine. But players, coaches and team officials were stuck for several hours before fire officials at the scene used a truck's extension ladder to help the team off the aircraft.

A Vikings source told ESPN's Josina Anderson that the plane landed relatively fine but skidded while taxiing.

You can count on Cleveland being shitty so there's 2 wins. Cincinnati will be bad again next year 2 more wins. Jacksonville is a win even having to go to London. Chicago won't be any better another win..then they probably should best Tennessee Houston Detroit Miami and Minnesota barring some craziness. The only games in question are Pittsburgh Indy Green Bay and KC

As far as Smith retiring everyone pretty much knew that from the day he announced he was coming back so no surprises there. Would really like the Ravens to get a solid #1 WR but they'd never had one so whatever..the only big names at WR free agents next year are Baldwin and Jeffrey I don't see the Ravens landing either one..

Bengals won't be any better. They will have a ton of cap space and probably make big splashy moves but unless they can Marvin Lewis and get a new QB they won't be any better.
Minnesota won't either because they still won't have an offense.

Raiders (Probably the next game I'm slightly worried about)
Redskins

Steelers
Browns (Thursday night after election)

I'd go with Prescott for the simple fact that Dallas had a decent running game last year. Elliot obviously made it better... but they had one. And they couldn't win a game. They didn't have a QB. So value-wise Prescott made a HUGE fucking difference. Took them from a team who couldn't win a game without Romo to locking up the #1 seed 2 weeks early. Elliot is the better Rookie of the Year candidate but Prescott should have the edge for MVP.

I'm not a huge football guy. I know that they've been trying the last number of years to get a downtown deal done, and even went as far as trying to add on a waterfront property as part of an extension of the convention center to benefit comic con.

Little did I know they've been on a year to year lease for 16 years. That's ridiculous. Especially when the NFL has made it clear they would bring the Super Bowl here regularly should a new stadium be built.

The biggest clash was ownership wanted downtown and public officials wanted to rebuild on the current property.

It sucks since I am a casual charger fan but looking at it objectively it's the city's fault and more so the publicly appointed officials for consistently not budging and calling ownership's bluff.

Now they have egg of their face. But of course fans are blaming ownership.

There's also this silly claim that the Chargers won't have a fan base in LA. Even though up to a 3rd of their season ticket holders reside in the Orange county area. No reason to think they won't maintain that part of the fan base moving forward.

I don't like the Chargers moving to LA but I completely understand. If San Diego doesn't want to build a stadium then it their loss. At least the Raiders won't be in LA now. Hopefully they can get a stadium built in Oakland although I do like the sound of Las Vegas Raiders.

Yeah its very similar to the As situation in baseball with them desperately needing a new stadium but have too many problems in the way.

Chargers biggest break was Raiders deciding they'd rather be in Vegas than LA for relocation. Was rumored a bit the Chargers might have considered moving to Oakland if the LA option was closed.

I know he claimed he would should the team relocate. Can't see him leaving that money on the table though.

I've heard they need to rebuild starting at quarterback anyways.

Yep.

Bad enough that we let Mike McCoy crawl back to us to be the new OC.

Unless we grab a genius like Dick Lebeau or Mike Nolan to run the defense, that mile way wall is getting knocked down to a white picket fence.

49ers rumored to be naming Kyle Shanahan as their new head coach but can't officially hire him till after the Falcons season ends. Only other real option was Seattle's Tom Cable but Cable rejected the offer and wanted to stay in Seattle.

NFL currently rumored to be fining the Seahawks a draft pick due to the team failing to properly report injuries on the team.
The Seattle Seahawks may lose their second-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft as a result of their failure to disclose a knee injury to Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman, league sources tell ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll revealed Monday during an interview on 710 ESPN radio that Sherman was dealing with an MCL injury for the second half of the season.

The Seahawks are cooperating with the NFL's investigation. Sources say the club is contending that because Sherman never missed a snap during the season, the team should not be severely penalized.

The league had already handed down a fifth-round forfeiture to the Seahawks on Sept. 19 for a repeat violation of rules governing offseason workouts. Sources tell Mortensen that an elevation of that penalty to a second-round forfeiture is under serious consideration.

Also under consideration are additional fines for the franchise and Carroll, who made the admission after the Seahawks' NFC divisional-round elimination to Atlanta.

Pats might not be the most despised team in the NFL anymore based on a recent report about the NFL being livid the Chargers decided to move to LA.

Turns out the NFL never actually wanted 2 teams to be in LA this quickly even though it was implied they did during the talks involving the Rams, Raiders, and Chargers. Might have been a huge reason why the Chargers/Raiders shared stadium never had strong support with the owners as an option. Also gave them the most money to stay out of the 3 teams even though it wasn't close to bridging the gap of money needed.

Rams struggling in their first season in LA in terms of support was a huge reason why things quickly went sour for the league.

It looks like fans in San Diego aren't the only ones upset with the Chargers after the team made the decision to move to Los Angeles last week.

According to ESPN.com, pretty much everyone in the NFL hates the idea of the Chargers in L.A. One source told ESPN that many of the league's 32 owners are "upset with the Chargers for moving."

It's not just the owners, either. The league office is "beside itself" over the Chargers' move.

In what might be the most surprising part of the report, the NFL actually wants the Chargers to move back to San Diego, although the league doesn't actually think that's a realistic possibility.

Chargers owner Dean Spanos is probably going to be horrified when he hears this news, because he used to be one of the league's most beloved owners (among the other owners). Instead, he's now viewed as a villain in San Diego, no one seems to care for him in Los Angeles, and it seems that he's lost the backing of his fellow owners. That's a trifecta of ugliness that's going to be difficult to recover from.

The fact that the league was completely against the Chargers' move shouldn't come as a surprise. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell made it clear on several occasions that he wanted the Chargers to remain in San Diego.

Not only did Goodell say that keeping the Chargers in San Diego was a priority, but he also promised to give the city a Super Bowl if it could figure out a way to build a new stadium.

As for the owners, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora can explain why they're upset. As La Canfora reported in early January, several owners had "grave concerns" about putting a second team in L.A. so soon.

After 21 years without a team, the league didn't want to rush into L.A. The owners and the league also didn't want to put a second team in the market with the Rams still trying to win fans over after a rough season. If the NFL starts to struggle in L.A., the owners are going to blame Spanos.

Steelers might be getting in trouble with the NFL due to the league thinking they didn't properly disclose Le'Veon Bell health status for the AFC title game. Basis seems to involve Bell revealing he's been dealing with a groin injury for weeks while Steelers coach Tomlin put him as a healthy scratch for several practices.

Casino mogul who is the main reason why the Raiders are moving to Vegas recently pulled out of the deal he had with the team.

Apparently its due to recent terms the Raiders proposed for the stadium which would have meant less power and money for Sheldon Adelson. Raiders now need to come up with an extra $650 million in order to honor their side of the stadium deal made with the city.

Another big investor recently pulled out of the Raiders' Vegas deal with this time being Goldman Sachs bank. Now the Raiders owe even more money on the new stadium unless they can find a new rich investor or group soon.

The bank was meant to be a backup plan in case the stuff with Adelson fell apart but since they have very close financial ties with Adelson, they decided to leave the Raiders than risk future business with Adelson.

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval's office said a lease-agreement proposal submitted last week expressed that the Raiders had intended to pick up the tab for Adelson's pulled $650 million, which would up their total commitment to $1.15 billion for a deal in which they would also accept operation responsibilities and risk. However, sources told Shelburne, that deal was contingent on a loan from Goldman Sachs.
