Seahawks escaped the Wrath of Goodell in regards to them hiding legit injuries from the league. Got off with just a warning instead of the potential loss of a 2nd Round draft pick.
NFL found out they were hiding a serious injury Richard Sherman was suffering and were listing different injuries and/or reasons for his official status in order to stay eligible for games. Only noticed the deception when the Sehawks suddenly changed his injury to something different one week.
The Seattle Seahawks have received a warning for not listing Richard Sherman's knee injury on the injury report in the second half of last season, league sources told ESPN.
The league had considered docking the Seahawks a second-round pick for failing to disclose the injury, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen last month.
The violation was determined to be the result of a misinterpretation of the policy's reporting requirements, a source told ESPN's Adam Caplan.
Sherman never missed a game last season. The Pro Bowl cornerback was listed on the injury report in 11 of the team's final 12 games (including the playoffs), but the knee injury was never listed. In 10 of those weeks, he missed practice time, but the Seahawks listed the reason as "non-injury related." In Week 12, Sherman was listed with an ankle injury.
The NFL's rule says, "If any player has a significant or noteworthy injury, it must be listed on the practice report, even if he fully participates in practice and the team expects that he will play in the team's next game."

I hate the Seahawks with a passion for rivalry purposes, but I respect if Sherman puts his life force on the line to win some games. We don't give enough props to the ones that tough it out. The game is getting too soft to have some crap like this floating over their heads.

Some recent NFL news:
* Jets released Darrelle Revis although team states it was due more to costs reasons than his recent legal mess.
* Jets rumored to be interested in signing Colin Kaepernick once he opts out of his deal with the 49ers. Browns were also rumored to be a possible team interested but they ended up deciding to look elsewhere for a new QB.
* Chris Long is leaving the Pats after just 1 year with the team. Pretty much said its due to him achieving everything he wanted to do there with going to the playoffs and winning a ring.
* According to reports, Pats are keeping Jimmy Garrappolo for at least next year and Belichick wants to raise his trade value price to a kings ransom level.
* Both the Vikings and Raiders are currently interested in signing Adrian Peterson. Vikings are only interested if they can get him for less than what his previous deal was paying per year.
* Steelers resigned James Harrison to a new 2 year, $3.5 million deal.

So that James Harrison contract will take him through his age 39 and 40 seasons. He's found the fountain of youth.
He spends like $3k a day rehabbing his body during the season and it shows.

NFL dealing with another lawsuit by former players this time regarding teams purposely being aware and active in the abuse of meds in the league.
Some of the allegations include teams purposely withholding info from players on how addictive certain drugs were, some team doctors not having legit medical certificates for certain drugs being prescribed, and some team medical staffs caring more about making sure players kept playing than their overall health. Also lots of violations regarding Federal drug laws.

According to ESPN, Cowboys are rumored to be pulling Tony Romo off of the trade market. Main reasons are due to nobody else really wants to take on his contract unless he took a huge pay cut and Cowboys honoring Romo's request of only being tradeable to a few teams.
Once Texans backed out of possible trade talks, made it almost impossible for a trade to happen any time soon. Only other major team was the Broncos but were not as interested in doing a trade since they rather grab him for free.
Fox Sports also trying to convince Romo to retire and sign an announcer deal with them instead.

Oakland submitted a new plan to the Raiders to help sway the team to stay instead of leave for Las Vegas.
Basically the stadium would cost less than the Vegas planned stadium but Raiders wouldn't need as much money on their end for the deal and don't have to worry about sharing the new stadium with the Oakland As.
Only problem is the new stadium wouldn't be ready till 2021 at the earliest and league is still expected to pick the Vegas plan. Even offered a reduced relocation fee to keep Vegas on board with the plans.

Not a baseball or football season goes by where you don't hear a horror story about pipes bursting in the locker room or sewage flooding the dugout at O.co Stadium.
Raiders want out, Athletics are looking for a way out.

Jerry Jones rumored to have played a major role in getting the league to approve all three teams to move due to his marketing company having connections with these teams. Also the rumored reason why the Miami owner voted no for the Raiders move was because Jones cut into his business there and/or beat him to a lucrative deal with Vegas.
Tim Kawakami @timkawakami
The more I talk to people around this, the more obvious it becomes: Jerry Jones is driving every bit of this...
As I said yesterday, through his marketing company--Legends--Jones will have some sway over the Rams, Chargers, 49ers and Raiders...
Legends will handle suites and sponsorships for the Las Vegas stadium, including potentially the largest naming rights deal ever...
It is estimated that Legends/Jones' take from the combined Rams/Chargers/49ers/Raiders new stadium activity: Hundreds of millions.
Most remarkable thing (to me) is Jones/Legends will get hundreds of millions of out this, while taking none of the financial risk.

According to reports, teams have been dropping Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon from their potential 1st round pick choices and its related to a domestic violence incident he had in 2014. Dolphins and Pats already came out publicly saying they won't take him in the 1st round while experts think he's probably now a 2nd or 3rd rounder at best.
Supposedly NFL teams were upset he never got a real punishment from the NCAA nor Oklahoma while in college. He did get redshirted but teams felt Oklahoma only did it because they already had enough talented RBs on their roster to not feel any effect. They were upset the most of Mixon not showing any remorse till the tape of the incident got released last December and felt he only did so in order to salvage his draft stock.

City of St Louis currently suing both the NFL and the Rams in regards to claims of Rams failing to follow NFL's relocation rules and NFL for being actively involved in getting the team to leave.
City is pissed the most about being on the hook for $144 million left on the stadium's debt and Rams breaking the terms of their lease the moment it became possible because of the NFL.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday in St. Louis Circuit Court also names the NFL's 32 teams as defendants and seeks unspecified damages and restitution.
The lawsuit alleges that the Rams failed to meet league relocation rules when leaving for Los Angeles before last season, constituting a contractual breach with St. Louis.
The NFL did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
The lawsuit alleges that St. Louis has lost an estimated $1.85 million to $3.5 million each year in amusement and ticket tax collections, as well as roughly $7.5 million in property taxes. In total, the city will have lost more than $100 million in net proceeds.

Eli Manning currently dealing with some legal issues after it was revealed he has been active in selling fake game-worn merchandise to memorabilia buyers.
Giants also dealing with similar legal issues after an equipment manager was outed as helping Manning with the scam.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning was in on a scheme to sell phony game-worn gear — sending an email asking the team’s equipment manager for “helmets that can pass as game used,” according to blockbuster court papers obtained by The Post.
The legal filing also alleges that Big Blue failed to produce the smoking-gun request — sent from Manning’s old-school AOL account to an official NFL account — even though “they claim to have no document destruction policy.”
But Manning turned over the incriminating email last week in connection with a civil racketeering suit that accuses him, his team and others of conspiring to fleece collectors of authentic athletic uniforms worn on the playing field.
Manning’s email is contained in a pair of exchanges that allegedly began when his marketing agent, Alan Zucker, asked Manning to supply “2 game used helmets and 2 game used jerseys” as per the two-time Super Bowl MVP’s contract with memorabilia dealer Steiner Sports.
Several hours after Zucker sent the request on April 27, 2010, Giants equipment manager Joe Skiba sent Manning an email saying: “Let me know what your looking for I’ll try to get something down for you…,” court papers say.
“2 helmets that can pass as game used. That is it. Eli,” Manning allegedly responded from his BlackBerry at 2:08 p.m.
At 2:25 p.m., Manning wrote back to Zucker, saying: “Should be able to get them for tomorrow.”
“Thanks Eli,” Zucker responded.

https://www.thescore.com/news/1457567
Chuck Pagano is expected to coach his final game with the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The team will begin its search for a new head coach upon the conclusion of the 2017 season, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports, citing sources.
Team owner Jim Irsay has already made calls to prepare, Rapoport adds.
Chris Ballard's first season as the Colts' general manager has resulted in a 3-12 campaign. It's expected he will instead opt to hand pick the next coach.

Who was the homer in New York watching every angle?
No one's arguing that it wasn't the right call. You're hearing things that don't mesh with your blind homer-ism and it's making your brain smoke and malfunction. Have a drink and try to comprehend the discussion.

Also, who was the blind homer in New York handing down the punishment for Brady?
Thought so. Guilty.

No bias possible when it's in the Pats favor.
Definitely bias when it's against the Pats.
Blind... homer...

So, you deny that they ignored the Ideal Gas Law and the crazy weather that happened during the game?

Proving my point more and more.
SUCH a blind homer. Keep going.

Let's not forget the whole situation where you defended Rob Gronkowski intentionally concussing a man. Doesn't get much more blind homer-tastic than that. Your blind homerism shows as much as Droford's.

He's been sent to the hospital because defenders know they won't get calls for holding and roughing him up.
When that guy maybe lines up in the playoffs maybe he follows the rules a little more closely.

... Seriously? lol

If Gronk is guilty of pass interference and it doesn't get called and the defender reacts by driving his elbow into Gronk's neck and head while he's on the ground defenseless and leaves him concussed, or worse, you'll totally defend that guy's actions, right?
Blind homer to an insane level. And THAT'S why your opinion on stuff like the Steelers non-catch doesn't matter.

STD is one of those fans who would get happy if the quarterback on the other team became paralyzed due to an illegal hit from his team.

What does having a MURDERER as my avatar have to do with being a Pats fan? Or is it because it's Hernandez?

The Raven's are always the pick of every player to be signed, most times they don't sign with the Ravens.
