The best part about the Pats going 14-0 yesterday was when the Patriots fans completely showed how classless and ignorant and just plain fucking stupid they are. These guys are real retards. Throwing snow balls dont suprise me one bit. These are the kind of fucking retards that could be standing in gravel and think that because its all over the place, its throwable and then do so. Every single Patriots fan is that one kid who keeps throwing stuff at you and saying stupid shit and you keep telling him to stop and he smiles like a fucking retarded faggot and does it again and you're like " No seriously stop now ! " and he's chuckles like a fat ignorant moron and is like " You dont like RACKS! " then he throws another and another until you eventually have to slam him in the face with a mega sized whiffle ball bat. Thank god the ref stopped that game and exposed them shit eating monkeys for the fucking assholes they were. No wonder you guys always sound like your washing testicals in your mouth when you talk, your fans are infact the testical dirt drain of the NFL. Good work New England. Glad i'm not those fans. Yah keep your 3 rings. I'd rather my team have 1 ring and not have my intelligence be considered one notch below Charles " Corky " Thacher on Jack Daniels and heroin.

Nothing ever tops Philly fans throwing snowballs at Santa Claus...

that being said, every team has it's idiots... and the few that did throw snow balls wont be back or whoever seats they are just lost them, the Pats don't hesitate the revoke season tickets of people being idiots and since there is like a 60-70K waiting list maybe more they have no problems filling those seats.

Of course there is no lack of class in Indy, not with a GM who in a press box rooted for his team to break the leg of the other teams QB, not with a GM who grabbed a jets staff member by the shift and put him against a wall because he felt "the speakers were to close to the field".

But see, in RP's world the Colts do no wrong... just other teams.

on a side note, what's really funny is back in 2003 Polian was unhappy how the Pats DB's played the WR and pushed the rules comittee that he as a member of to make sure the letter of the law was inforced and no more "let them play", of course in 2004 it didn't change anything and the Pats won again.

Now, 2007.... the Pats have one of the best offenses in NFL history and are getting a lot of holding and interferance calls and other teams are saying "The Pats get all the calls, just let them play and don't call all that stuff"... well, thanks Bill Polian, if it wasn't for you the Pats might have lost to the Ravens.

black text, I could be wrong but I sense a good'ol RP flip out coming on soon....

By the way, I've seen two games where Romo was just absolutely bad throughout. Both home games against Philly. Last year, he had Carrie Underwood at the game, this year Jessica Simpson.

I am dead serious when I say, I think Jessica Simpson being there was the reason Romo looked so terrible. I honestly believe that his mind was not on the game at all. Even the Buffalo game, he was horrific but was able to lead two late drives to engineer a comeback and win so I don't consider it a bad game. Those two games, he was just off on everything. It can't be a coincidence. Stop bringing your girlfriends to the game!!!

Has anyone else noticed that outside of their passing game which is terrible, the Vikings are nasty everywhere else? They have one of the best left sides of an offensive line ever assembled in the NFL and then Tony Richardson behind that at fullback. They have the one of the two best DT combos in the NFL (I would say the best but you could make a case for Jacksonville), their linebackers are solid and they have a shutdown secondary. They really have a Super Bowl quality team if they could just throw the ball.

VonErichLives
12-18-2007, 08:34 PM
Think Brady throws a TD to Vrabel in the pro bowl...

Brady, Moss, 3/5ths of the OL... Wilfork, Vrabel, Samuel...

of course the team now and who/what actually shows up is a different story.

Even then that formula will work as long as Jackson doesn't make mistakes at the QB position. I think their secondary has come around in the latter half of the season. I know heading into their game with the Giants they were pretty low on the totem pole in terms of pass defense, but everyone knows Eli made them all look like all pros.

Supreme Olajuwon
12-18-2007, 10:03 PM
Yeah they give up the most passing yards per game in the NFL but that number is a bit skewed because teams average more pass attempts against them per game than any other opponent. They give up 6.88 yards per attempt which is tied with Jacksonville for 14th. They've given up 17 pass TDs which is 8th best in the league and they have 8 defensive TDs which is 1st. So yeah they might be the weakest part of the defense but they're definitely not a weakness.

Gonzo
12-18-2007, 10:15 PM
Yeah their defense is pretty stout. I don't usually look to statistics to tell the tale, who the hell knows, could be a lot of "garbage" yards. They have a really good run defense, so teams could have looked to the pass all year to try to move the ball.

This has been one of the worst statistical years for running backs I have ever seen. I believe they could have done better than Barber and Westbrook, maybe put in Portis or Brandon Jacobs instead of them. Other than that I guess it looks like an alright pro bowl selection overall. To be honest I haven't paid attention to how Patrick Kerney or Darren Sharper were doing, but I guess they are still doing alright for themselves.

He'd play OLB and Belicheck has always preferred experience over youth at that position...

Plus the rumor was the pick for taylor plus a 2nd and 3rd (not same years).

But we're a long way from offseason deals.

I just don't see the Pats taking anyone that high, unless there is a shut-down CB worth a top 5 pick (I don't follow college enough to know).

I don't mind Holt being voted in over Colston as much as I do Donald Driver.

That one just confuses me. Driver has 2 TDs all year. Not to mention less catches and yards than Colston. Hell, as far as Packer receivers go even, what about Greg Jennings? Granted he has significantly less catches and yards than Driver but the man has caught TEN more TDs this season than Driver!

I posted this about Sean Payton at another board..

Yeah, I blame him (Payton)..

Football is a game of momentum.. You've seen it hundreds of times.. A team is down in the fourth then great D stop that leads to a punt return TD, that leads to an onsides kick etc etc etc..

That challenge on the second and goal when we had all the momentum in the world and their D was on their heels was the turning point of the game.. It didn't gain us shit and gave their D rest that then lead to them making that goalline stop.. No way they would've stopped it if we'd just lined up and pounded it with Stecker or run PA and tossed to a TE.. No way..

I learned today that when Payton was the Off. Coor. in New York, that Parcel took his play calling ability cause Payton had what the Tuna called "the sickness".. Payton is a good coach but he makes really really bad decisions sometimes..

I am with you on the D, but besides looking horrible against the run, what was different about them today?? We know they give up big plays and the only way we can beat most teams is to out score them on offense.. We opened it up early and it worked (long pass to Henderson), why stop?? We didn't try anything deep until the fourth quarter after that..

Payton has "the sickness" and he needs to work that shit out before next year..

OssMan

I think re-signing Moss and going after Briggs will eat up the money for Samuel and the Pats will look CB with that high draft pick.

unless they deal the pick for say Jason Taylor, then they'll make a harder push.

on the flip side, the Pats win another super bowl this year, and Samuel who is still young may take a deal for a little less to stay here and then his next/last contract go for the money ala: Ty Law and others.

I don't think I have seen so many various losing streaks in one season like there have been this year.

Miami
San Francisco
St. Louis
Baltimore
Detroit
Kansas City
New York Jets
Oakland
Atlanta

And that's not even counting teams like New Orleans and Washington, who had points where they lost a few games in a row as well.

DrA

I'm having a hard time thinking of a consistent 'win, loss, win, loss' team this year. Most teams this year were either win, win, win, win, win, or, lose, lose, lose, lose, lose. Many of the teams that are close to 500 had spurts of winning games in a row to make up ground for losing four games in a row earlier in the season.

I've noticed how odd the overall records of teams has been ever since they divided up the league into these new divisions. I think there need to be some changes. The NFC South, for instance: Tampa Bay, Carolina, New Orleans, and Atlanta, what is that? None of those teams have any history to them at all. The AFC South is filled with expansion teams and teams that were moved from their original cities. The AFC North has two teams from the same state, and the NFC West has a weird feel to it as well.

I don't know, four teams just doesn't seem like enough teams for a division, especially the way it's divided up right now. With the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a 6-10 in the playoffs in a couple of years.

DrA
12-25-2007, 12:34 AM
They should divide it up into three divisions of 5, 5, 6 for each conference.

NFC Central:
Chicago
Green Bay
Detroit
Minnesota
St. Louis

NFC East:
Dallas
New York Giants
Washington
Philadelphia
Arizona

NFC Everything Else:
Seattle
San Francisco
Atlanta
Tampa Bay
Carolina
New Orleans

AFC Central:
Pittsburgh
Cincinnati
Baltimore
Cincinatti
Indianapolis

AFC East:
New England
New York Jets
Miami
Buffalo
Jacksonville

AFC Everything Else:
Denver
Oakland
Kansas City
San Diego
Houston
Tennessee

Where each team lands is subject to change.

Well first off, that team is way worse off than just a few quick fixes to making them good.

Drafting QB does nothing as any QB they draft is 2-3 years away from carrying the team. There is no Lock QB this year anywho.

Adding FA is not how you fix a team that is in such a shit hole. They can patch a few holes, but not all of them.

ATL is at least 2 perfect drafts and solid FA periods away from contending.

I love that you're trying to talk shit to me about the Saints while they still could make the playoffs in week 17, and yet your team, the Falcons have been eliminated since like week 8..

Yeah..

I'm not really buying the " Cant throw in the snow " thing. I dont think Brady will have a problem throwing. I dont think they'll be throwing bombs to Moss much in bad weather, but they have 4 recievers that run a decent 5-15 yard route. Its really just going to come down to what team can go out there and both physically and mentally be better then the New England Patriots. And the only team i think can do that is Indy. Defending champs. They've beat them before. Every playoff team that can possibly play the Pats either in the AFC or the NFC/Superbowl have questions about whether they can mentally beat the dynasty that is New England... accept for the Colts. Who have beaten them in the playoffs and have won the Superbowl. I'm sorry, but lets see Romo win a playoff game or two before we believe he can beat New England in a Superbowl. If Indy dont do it, New England is 19-0. I dont see any other team with a shot to beat them. And i also think Indy is every bit as good as New England. Gunna be a unbelievable game yet again. And with our luck, there will be a monstorous snow storm arriving on the morning of the game. That would make things really interesting.

Mentally, Only the Colts can hang I hink,

But I can honestly see Jacksonville giving the a run. They could upset them. They are hungry and slighted, and with that running game and Stout D, they are a tough team. They can beat the Colts and Patriots on talent, but it is going to be very hard for them to do it.

Jacksonville dont beat the Colts or Patriots ever. Its too big of a game for them. They lose and then say things like " Bill Polian must of payed the refs " and cry about not getting calls and insinuate that the games are fixed. Its the same story with them every year. They go into a big game. Everyone is riding there sacks and then they get beat down and they cry and claim the games are fixed instead of taking responsibility for playing like shit. Jacksonville has no chance in hell.

And whats with everyone riding David Garrard's balls? Everyone acts like his stats are so fucking amazing. He has like 16 td's and 2 ints. OMG OMG. He's about as good as Trent Dilfer i guess. 16 td's is not that amazing.

You better hope that the Colts dont play the Chargers. Every time they have played in the past 3 years the Chargers have ended up beating them.

How many rushing TD's do they have??

They are a more run based offense so, yeah.. Two ints in like 14 games is a great stat..

Garrard... 64% comp. pct., 7.7 yds per attempt (.2 less than Peyton Manning), 18 TDs and 3 picks through 15 games while leading his team to an 11-4 record including a 3 point loss AT Indy where he completed 24 of 29 passes for 257 yds, 2 TDs and 1 pick. Just for fun, I'll throw in the fact that his QB rating is 4 points better than Peyton Manning's.

But let's disregard all that and just look at the fact that he only has a little over a TD per game... yeah, he sucks.

He doesn't make mistakes. He isn't going to pass all over you, but thats not who he is and no one makes him to be that type of player. Jacksonville is a run first, play defense and ball control team, you know that. People are on Garrard's nuts because he doesn't make mistakes.

I really don't see the Jags beating the Patriots, they will force Garrard to throw more than 20 times, which he really never does. I think forcing him to throw a lot with really hurt a QB who isn't used to it, especially when their best quality is "not making mistakes"

I don't know, the Patriots are old and I think that a stiff running game could wear them down on defense. Play some ball control and keep the ball out of the hands of that Pats offense. That would at least be my best play, imo.

The Jags are the underdog flavor of the year. They're playing good, I just don't see them hanging in a shoot out with the Pats, Colts or SD.

The Colts still haven't proved they can win in the playoffs outside of the dome, plus w/o Freeny makes that defense a lot different. Although, when the Pats didn't have Seymore they still beat the Colts so I'll give the Colts the same credit that it wont effect them, which puts me back to point 1.

SD this team actually worries me... they're a good team, no major weakness and they wont be playing marty ball...

The steelers... w/o Parker I think they're done.

NFC.. does it matter?

Dallas, can't argue they're offense but RP has a point, lets see Romo keep it together in the playoffs, I think he will, but until proven you have to question him.

Favre - is he still his own worst enemy? will he make the bad forced pass in a close game? history says yes.

The rest of the NFC playoff teams I don't think could beat NE, Indy or SD.

but it's the NFL... anything is possible.

it's funny, locally it was always on free TV since they're the home team during an away game.

Now, it's going to be on all 3 major networks and the local network who has a signed contract w/ the NFL is pissed because they're going to have to refund/credit most the Ads they sold as have exclusive rights.

My guess is somehow locally it will go back to 1 channel and nationally it will go free.
