Brady is fucked regardless. Defensive players are going to try and intentionally injure him constantly now. He's going to take a helmet to the knee and/or face within the first couple weeks.

What will Clerk do now?
Evil Vito
09-05-2015, 12:54 PM
<font color=goldenrod>The only reason they would have had for keeping Tebow was to run possible gimmick plays, and doing that means you have all 3 QBs active on your 46-man gameday roster, and it makes little sense for any team to do that. Very few teams bother keeping 3 QBs on their 53-man roster anymore for that reason.
At the same time, Chip Kelly knows that nobody is going to sign Tebow. So if something happens to Bradford they could easily bring Tebow back. He's basically sitting on the Eagles bench for free.</font>

NFL considering changing the way they discipline players as part of the aftermath of Brady winning his court case. Owners could either end up curbing some of Goodell's power for punishments or do nothing since they are unsure if any drastic changes will actually get done.

Now you cut the best quarterback on your roster? This is why you have to stay as a college coach. You couldn't win in college so what made you think you could make it in the big leagues? Your a joke not only to the NFL but football in general. Lose some fucking weight you lazy bum and study the game a little more and then come back. What a bum.

Would be really surprised if that happened considering how weak the Pats secondary is at least on paper and compared to last year. They are with the Jets and Ravens games in usually being the hardest games for the Pats whenever they play.
Evil Vito
09-10-2015, 04:27 PM
<font color=goldenrod>Guess I'll do some predictions:
NFC East:
Cowboys
Eagles
Giants
Native Americans
NFC North:
Packers
Vikings (Wild Card 2)
Lions
Bears
NFC South:
Saints
Panthers
Falcons
Bucs
NFC West:
Seahawks
Cardinals (Wild Card 1)
Rams
49ers
NFC East was a coin flip between Dallas and Philly. Gave the edge to Dallas mainly because I can't count on Bradford's health all year. North has some good teams but I just can't think of a good enough reason to pick against the Packers. South still feels like a terrible division, but I think the Saints will rebound from an off-year last year. Seahawks are another team I feel I have to go with but I don't think the Cards are too far behind them, hence the top wild card spot. Have a really weird feeling about the Vikes this year, though I strongly considered the Lions, Eagles, and Rams for that last wild card.
AFC East:
Patriots
Dolphins (Wild Card 2)
Bills
Jets
AFC North:
Ravens
Bengals
Steelers
Browns
AFC South:
Colts
Texans
Titans
Jaguars
AFC West:
Chargers
Broncos (Wild Card 1)
Chiefs
Raiders
I see no reason to ever pick against the Pats no matter how the teams around them may have improved until I see them actually get knocked off of their perch. The Ravens are resilient and always seem to find their way into the playoffs. I'm going against recent history by not picking more than one team from the North but I can see that division beating the shit out of each other. Colts feel like an easy pick, would have considered the Texans if their QB situation wasn't a dumpster fire. Chargers I think are ready to take the next step and end up ending the Broncos' reign in that division.
Denver still has a ton of talent though so I can't leave them out of January altogether. Then I'll round off the playoff field with Miami just on a hunch, although the Chiefs, Steelers, Bengals, and even Bills gave me some pause.
Oh and Super Bowl...fuck if I know. My first instinct is Packers/Patriots but that just feels like such a ESPN "chalk" pick. So let's go outside the box slightly/all in with my thought that the Bolts are ready to go to the next level and go with Packers/Chargers in SB50. I can't lay money against Rodgers though, so I'll say the Pack win that one.
Didn't put a ton of thought into these but there should be some pretty tight races that go down to the wire.</font>

"And why don't we hear about this happening all the time at other stadiums around the league during similar conditions?"

<font color=goldenrod>not sure how any Giants fan can watch tonight and actually take away positives from the performance. the defense proved they are not ready for crunch time at all and the pass rush is completely non-existent. Dallas' O-line may be great but not even coming close to a sack is pretty humiliating.
and at the end of the day they straight up gave away a game to a divisional rival which will almost certainly come back to bite them down the line.
I realistically thought this team would go 8-8 at best. still well within the range of possibility but 8 wins in the NFC won't get you anywhere regardless.</font>

So, what's this about Eli Manning telling one of his guys not to score?
Yeah. That was by far the most poorly handled end of a game in NFL history. The guy told his running back NOT to score to put them up by 10 with under 2 minutes left. And then proceeded to throw a pass out of the back of the endzone to stop the clock on third down. lol
Evil Vito
09-14-2015, 08:57 PM
<font color=goldenrod>I've defended Eli a ton over the years, mainly with the amount people like to focus on his INTs when a lot of them really aren't his fault. In fact Romo's INTs yesterday looked a lot like what I've seen out of Eli the last few years. Just a lot of unfortunate bounces off of his own receivers.
But the way he handled the end of last night's game was comically bad. And he was explaining himself on Francesa's show today and he just sounded flat-out retarded in trying to do so.
And hell, while telling Jennings to not score was retarded, there was no guarantee he would have made it even if he tried. The Giants have sucked on the goal line for years. But on that third down, christ how do you not at least take a sack? Just dumb.</font>
Evil Vito
09-14-2015, 09:00 PM
<font color=goldenrod>All told, it wasn't exactly a confidence builder to have THAT be the first game after signing his 4-year extension. In fairness, there really doesn't seem to be another hotshot "savior" QB in the college ranks on the horizon, and their current backup (Ryan Nassib) is straight up trash. Eli probably is the best option for them in the next few years.
Unfortunately the team still needs a lot of work. I had the Giants penciled in for 7 or 8 wins this year and definitely didn't see a win in Dallas coming, so 7 or 8 is still entirely doable with their schedule. But it clearly won't be enough for the playoffs. I'll never outright root for a loss, but fuck...bottoming out at 4-12 or some shit might be better long-term than getting 7 or 8 wins and having Reese think "okay that's not terrible, just need to add a piece or two."</font>

Never understood taking timeouts before the 2 minute warning in that situation when the time clock is at like 2:20. You're only saving 20 seconds. If you wait til after the 2 minute warning, you're saving 40. Might as well let them run off the 20 and save the timeout.

Recent Deadspin report revealed how the NFL forced prosecutors in the Greg Hardy domestic violence case to hand over records not meant to be available to the public. Main reason was for PR reasons in case sensitive stuff from the case got released/leaked before the NFL could punish him and prevent public backlash if it was seen as weak.
They were given normal records available to the public whenever a criminal case is reported but wanted more sensitive records that were hands-off for legal reasons. Ended up striking a secret deal which allowed the NFL to get those files while claiming deniability in case anyone tried to find out about it earlier. Only got to see the crime photos and files for a day before handing it right back to prosecutors.
Biggest thing the DA was worried about was someone from the NFL's side leaking files to Hardy's legal team which they might have actually done prior to them getting the really sensitive stuff. Ended up tweaking the deal so that while the NFL got the legal power to access the files, the NFLPA would get zero access regardless if it was fair or not.

Doubt the NFL is going to bother to investigate but NBC Sports is reporting the Bills might have broken a rule against artificial noise for yesterday's game. League sent a memo during pre-season for teams to stop doing it since its been an issue for years.
Bills also might have tipped the league about possible shenanigans happening when they went public saying they wanted to break the stadium noise world record for their home opener.

Looking like 8-10 weeks (7-9 games) without Romo. Still think the Eagles are the more realistic competition for the division over Washington so basically a 2 1/2 game lead 2 weeks in to try to nurse for a couple months. Luckily the defense has looked pretty fucking stellar, so 4-4 isn't completely out of the realm of possibility. I'd feel decent at 6-4 in that division with Romo coming back.

While 3 teams are currently considering a move to LA, the NFL is rumored to only allow one to get the entire LA market and the other 2 staying in their current location. Main reason would be to not overload the LA market this early with multiple teams and prevent another failed move.
Rams favored to be the one to move if that's the case since the current Chargers-Raiders plans are for both to share the same stadium.

They just need to move the Raiders to LA. They have the worst stadium situation.

Dominating my confidence pool this week. Only lost on Dallas for 3 points so far.

I don't think The Eagles are good. However they still might be good enough to win the NFC East.
Very possible

The Pats accusers are now 0-3 and 1-2 and just slipped by with that win. Karma is a bitch!
