Now that Denver got embarrassed in New Jersey tonight, Seattle's the champs and it's time for that nearly 7 month long stretch of no football. Maybe this will also be the year Tennessee gets their heads out of their asses and win more than 7 games a season and get back to playoff contention.

Giants need OL help desperately. Would be ecstatic if they managed to get Alex Mack but he'd probably be hella expensive. Even Brian de la Puente would be an upgrade over the nightmare that was David Baas.

They also pick 12th in the draft so I wouldn't be surprised if they go OL in the first again.

Ravens looking for OL, S, and a "playmaker WR" last I read. Which is good because that's exactly what they need to focus on improving in that order.

Shame I don't know anything about college players to be able to weigh in on who could be available to draft.

Shame I don't know anything about college players to be able to weigh in on who could be available to draft.

The Ravens own site today mentions that Seattle will probably have to cut Sidney Rice and his almost $10 million owed as a potential target.

As far as WR in the draft, there's about 5 WR that could go first round, big names to know are Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, Kelvin Benjamin. I can all but guarantee Watkins will be gone by the Ravens pick and Benjamin will probably be too which is a huge shame since he projects out to be in the calibre of Calvin Johnson in a few years. Just about every reputable mock I've seen has the Ravens going with Evans. Both Evans and Benjamin are 6-5 big targets which is something the Ravens need, the only other big WR with first to third round potential is Brandon Coleman who is 6-6 but coming off surgery.

Some people think if the Ravens go safety first round they'll go Ha Ha Clinton Dix from Alabama but honestly just his name makes me want them to skip him. Plus I don't think Safety is as important as a big WR that they won't be able to get later.

Supposedly this is one of the weaker drafts for o-line, but I imagine Ozzie can mine some gems in the late rounds for depth . The O line just needs two upgrades..Center and Right Tackle (adios Michael Other) but really they're getting Osemele back and he can play Right Tackle meaning they only need a center, and I can see them getting another Center a la Matt Birk to be the starter instead of drafting.

The consensus seems to be that the Rams want to ride out their investment in Sam Bradford, so they're expected to draft OL with their first pick. Would be very surprised if they don't trade down to do it. I've even heard the Browns may get desperate and try to jump to #2 to ensure they get one of the top 3 QBs, as you'd presume Texans and Jags will both go QB, so the #2 pick is a wild card depending on whether or not a team wants to jump up to land one of the QBs or Clowney.

I can see it now. Rams suck the Browns into moving up 2 spots. Then they trade the #4 pick to a team that wants to jump ahead of Oakland for Clowney. Then they still get their OL and collect a shitpile of picks to do it.

Especially with all the Incognito/Martin stuff. Even though we know the players in the locker room are wrong for thinking it (hi, Vilma), the fact of the matter is™ that they ARE thinking it and a lot of GMs probably don't want to deal with the headache and would rather invest a high-round pick on a "safer" player than try to actually move forward as human beings

Whatever them that drafts him will have to want to deal with the media circus that will come around only to talk about him, especially during training camp. There are probably several teams that just won't want that headache.

He should have taken a lesson from Jason Collins and waited til he was drafted and under contract. It'd be funny if he didn't get drafted at all, no doubt he would sue. Then the NFL will end up with some sort rule about it like the Rooney Rule for black head coaches.

Two other Dolphins players were revealed to be active in the bullying scandal besides Incognito. Also would explain a bit why Incognito was suddenly ranting on Twitter recently since he likely got the results early.

NFL investigator Ted Wells' report on the Miami Dolphins' bullying scandal concluded that Richie Incognito, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey engaged in a pattern of harassment directed at not only Jonathan Martin, but another young Dolphins offensive lineman and an assistant trainer.

The findings of Wells' report were released Friday. He was retained by commissioner Roger Goodell on Nov. 6 to examine the club's workplace environment.

"The Report concludes that three starters on the Dolphins offensive line, Richie Incognito, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, engaged in a pattern of harassment directed at not only Jonathan Martin, but also another young Dolphins offensive lineman and an assistant trainer," Wells said in a press release. "The Report finds that the assistant trainer repeatedly was the object of racial slurs and other racially derogatory language; that the other offensive lineman was subjected to homophobic name-calling and improper physical touching; and that Martin was taunted on a persistent basis with sexually explicit remarks about his sister and his mother and at times ridiculed with racial insults and other offensive comments."

I dont know what to think about Rice because part of me thinks he's pretty much toast but he said he should have not played with his hip injury which everyone knew about and if he's healthy maybe he wont play like garbage. If he goes out healthy and plays like garbage he probably won't be hanging around much longer.

Also good news is Suggs is renegotiating his contract into a longer term deal with smaller salary cap hit next season and it'll pretty much ensure that he retires a Raven. The only question being is he a hall of famer or not. Im betting hes not a first ballot but he should make it in eventually.

The chairman of the Fritz Pollard Alliance, a group that monitors racial diversity in the NFL, believes the league will soon enact a rule that will penalize a player 15 yards for using the n-word on the field during a game.

John Wooten said he expects the measure to be supported by the NFL Competition Committee during meetings next week in Naples, Fla. If the rule change is endorsed by the committee, it will be presented to owners for a vote.

"I will be totally shocked if the competition committee does not uphold us on what we're trying to do," Wooten said, according to CBSSports.com.

Lots of bad stories about him but the 5 or so times ive met him or been around him hes been great. Think his retirement and sons death really turned him around.

Seriously gotta feel for him. Career grinder that lost 4 superbowls, retired early due to head trauma, finally had the son he had been trying for only to find out he had a fatal disease and wasnt expected to live more than a year. Finally lost his son at age 8. Had his jaw worked on for surgery and now its back, have to think hes going to lose parts of his Jaw. He does so much great work with universal child screening.

Still remember going to see him go into the hall. Cried my fucking eyes out. Best speech ever. The parts with his kids kill me to this day.

Eagles willing to listen to trade offers for DeSean Jackson with both the Pats and 49ers as the frontrunners for him. Eagles want at least a 3rd Round draft pick as the basis for any deal but also admitted that its more likely they'd just cut him instead.

Jackson is slated to make $10.25 million this year in base salary and is owed around $30 million through 2016. If the Eagles were to cut Jackson, they’d be on the books for $6 million in dead money stemming from the pro-rated signing bonus in his extension before the 2012 season.

Jackson is unwilling to restructure his deal, the Daily News also reports, which makes sense. By refusing to restructure, Jackson is more likely to be cut than traded. If he’s cut, Jackson and his agent, Joel Segal, have 31 teams to speak and negotiate with on their own terms.

NFL approves of a centralized replay system similar in style to MLB's system.

Officially known as Rules Proposal 9, the centralized replay system will feature feeds from every game as well as an ability to communicate with officials through headsets as referees view replays on sideline monitors.

Referees will have the ability to consult with the league's Officiating Command Center in New York as they view replays at game sites. Referees still will make the final calls on plays.

Also extended the banning on "roll-up" blocks to include hits to the side of the leg and not just from behind.

They probably had to ban dunking on the goalposts so they cold make them higher and not risk the whole thing falling over

The crossbar wont be higher, the uprights are going to be taller.

MJD is a Raider. This kind of saddens me knowing his career will likely end there.
