I checked out the Ubisoft games on sale in the eShop. Why are they selling games that are 20gb in size for a console that comes no bigger than 32gb? By the time I buy extra memory, I'd be cheaper and quicker buying a physical disc!

First one was good, but it was basically just "climb shit, shoot dudes" repeated ad nauseam. Second one not only did everything better but added a lot more variety to the adventure. That's the game that really made Uncharted a major franchise.

The creators admited they build the entire game around set pieces. I think that says something about the game if they think up exciting set pieces and try to stitch them togethor with the gameplay inbetween.

Not saying you're wrong to love it or hate it. I just can't see it's appeal. TR never really appealed to me either back when I tried it out.

Well it helps that the set pieces are freaking awesome, and the gameplay inbetween is really fun.

If you get the chance, give the second one a try. I wasn't that enthralled with the first one either, but I really loved the second. Yet to try the third.

Take it with a grain of salt since the main source is from reddit but a recent big rumor regarding Assassin's Creed Unity involves the possibility of playing "levels" or side missions with assassins from past games.

The person who's been leaking the stuff is also claiming the combat system is mostly broken at the moment. Same for the online netcode so far.

What you are seeing is the structured campaign level list. Each level affords a different location such as Ireland during the Great Famine. Each level then has its own assassin for the area. The levels are wholly coopable from the investigation, to the assassination, to the side missions/diversions.

Players can either join free roam and accompany you into missions, or you can start a mission via matchmaking.

If it was as easy as you make it sound, every disgruntled script kiddie on the interwebs would be spoofing their IP and routing themselves through a couple dozen proxies and constantly DDoSing everything to hell and the internet would just never work.

I was referring to spoofing and routing through proxies as 2 separate things. Routing through 'proxies' in order to make it more difficult/take more time to fully trace; spoofing the IP as a last resort so if anyone fully traces the attack they get a bogus IP returned and not a legit one.

I'm aware I'm not using the term proxy correctly; old terminology me and a few of my associates used like 12-13 years ago when we were super awesome script kiddies 4 lyfe. We referred to every single different node we routed through as a proxy; i.e. if we routed through 25 different nodes, we said 25 proxies. Because we were 31337. And stuff.

Botnets were much more difficult back in those days. Spent so much time on mIRC on sorcery.net. We ran a couple respectable DDoS attacks though in the end, and it was worth it to us at the time.

Bit worried about Mirror's Edge 2 with news that it focuses a lot more on combat. The combat was a legit complaint in the first game, as it broke the flow of the parkour movement and broke your momentum.

Only bright spot is that they said you can chain moves together to bounce from one guy to the next. So if you can take down a group of guys without losing speed, I'd accept that, but I dunno. Need to see it in action.

Picked up The Golf Club today. Mainly just for the course editor/infinite replayability stuff. Pretty cool, tbh. Graphics are a bit rough at times due to slowdown on certain over populated courses available online, but it is a decently pretty game otherwise.

But let me say this: This ain't no Tiger Woods. This is a serious golf sim, and it is seriously hard. Hardest golf game I've ever played. Putting makes me want to pull my hair out. However, if you want a serious sim golf experience, look no further. Well worth $35.

The accent in the video is getting a bit of hate. Either because some people believe every character in fiction should be American, her Scottish accent isn't good or Japanese is superior to English for voice acting (Japanese VA sucks. They have, like, 6 possible voices they reuse for every character ever! Old man, young hero, Mr Serious Face McGee, giggling cute schoolgirl, seductive lady, monster/brute. That's it.)

I think the Scottish accent was done very well for a Welsh woman living in America doing a Scottish accent. Yeah, it's goes a bit wonky somtimes but it's much better than any attempted Scottish accent on The Simpsons. Yes, even Groundskeeper Willies accent is awful.

I especially like her maniacal laugh. Sounds just like the Japanese one in the old Darkstalkers games.

The Pokémon fighting game has an English trailer but says "Planned for arcades in Japan in 2015" and they don't show the Japanese logo. I think it's pretty obvious it's coming to the US. Activision is currently rumored to be planning an attempt to purchase Take-Two Interactive soon.

Benchmark analyst Mike Hickey discussed "an emerging romance" between the two companies, which have similar goals, in a research note Friday. Take-Two and Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI) are interested in forming movie studios to make feature films based on their game franchises.

I've followed GamerGate since the very start and any questions you have I can answer. I can tell you it only got wild when the SJW game journalists escalated the situation. They are absolutely in the wrong. Conveying this to casual onlookers is admittingly difficult, but recent changes to receptive game sites (disclosing disclaimers on articles) and companies pulling ads shows that there are certainly issues worth bringing up.

A writer for Gamasutra was a big reason Intel pulled ads from that site. She was extremely toxic to gamers and her career is basically on borrowed time. There's still some ways to go since the rabbit gets deep as fuck. It all seems to trail back to Feminist academia which is why game sites were suddenly interested in social criticism of games and pop culture in general ("Tomb Raider is a Rapists Fantasy and Here's Why", "Ten Reasons Street Fighter Validates Urban Violence" are the kinds of headlines we've seen more and more the last four years).

If it stopped there it would honky dory; just go to another site, right? Except most major gaming sites are managed by a single PR company who has roots in Feminists/SJW ideology. A few weeks ago in response to a major revelation concerning a female developer, these game sites all coordinated over ten articles saying Gamer/Gaming is dead within two days. This bolstered GamerGate activists to look deeper and BOY did things get interesting from there.

Twitch announces they are going to be cracking down on streamers who do promotional-like streaming but don't disclose their relationship with a company. While the policy has been in place for a while at Twitch, the company decided after constant feedback to do a better enforcement of these rules.

It will also keep the company in compliance with the FCC who has rules against non-disclosing gifts and false advertising.

According to Twitch’s Matthew DiPietro, these sponsorship campaigns, referred to as “Influencer Campaigns,” tap the talent of a well-known content creator to drive awareness and purchase intent of an advertiser’s product. This relationship often involves the content creator playing a freshly released or pre-released game for viewers to see.

The website’s front page will now have videos clearly marked as sponsored channels, newsletters will clearly state if content is sponsored and Twitter updates will be tagged with disclosures like “brought to you by” if content is paid for.

According to Twitch staff, anyone who still receives promotional copies of products or other non-monetary benefits are still required to follow the Federal Trade Commission’s Guidelines Concerning the Use of Testimonials and Endorsements.

The Guidelines demand that those who endorse products must give honest opinions, findings, beliefs or experiences of the endorser for said products. The endorser must have used the products during the time of the endorsement.
