Sony states as part of their apology for the recent PSN downtime, all Playstation members will get a 10% Off coupon for the PS Store while PS+ members get an additional 5 days added to their account for free.

The coupon applies to everything made in a single purchase and not just a discount on a single item.

Only catch is neither offer is currently available to get right now.

For members and trial users of the premium service, you’ll automatically receive five additional days. Unfortunately, the extension isn’t ready quite yet and it is possible that those taking PlayStation Plus for a test drive will be awarded time after your trial expires. There will be more news on this in the coming days.

For every PlayStation Network member (Plus or otherwise), there will be a 10 percent discount code made available in the future. This is a one-time use offer that will apply to everything in a single cart purchase (rather than a single item).

If you’ve got your eye on something(s), you might want to hold off until that’s available.

really on the fence with Evolve. A game like that, it's only fun if you play with buddies...and im not sure anyone I know is willing to give it a chunk of time over other games like Destiny.

It was the same with Payday 2. Fun as hell when I got everyone on together, but that was few and far between.

Barely had a run at the game, things became quite busy yesterday evening.

I cannot believe this game doesn't have a larger following. Guessing most people are more for the CoD's and BF's of the genre. This game is ridiculously fast and the movement is unparalleled, even the new CoD has a hard time keeping up with the parkour shenanigans this game offers.

Anyway, only played two matches and got stomped as I would expect as a noob :) Very enjoyable game though.

That 'studio' is Brianna Wu and she likely pulled out because of recent criticism over her game Revolution 60. Despite getting greenlit on Steam it has been torn apart by gamers due to it's quality. She was expected to present the game at Pax but I guess reality ensued.

The press release her team offered put cops on blast despite numerous instances of them looking into the threats and finding them non-credible. There is also no evidence of the threats originating from a gamer let alone GamerGate, which her prior beef with a lunatic before GG supports. Note; she has been caught twice sending threats to herself.

We want to open the exciting world of Fable to more players, and we see free-to-play as a great way of doing that.

ARE ALL OF THE QUESTS AND STORYLINES ALSO FREE?
Absolutely! The story can be played beginning-to-end for free.

ARE THE HEROES FREE?
There will always be a set of Heroes available to play for free. The Heroes on free rotation will be available for everyone to play for a set period of time.

HOW WILL HERO ROTATION WORK?
A set of Heroes will be available to play for free for a limited time, after which a new set of Heroes will take their place. This gives you the chance to play every Hero in the game for free over time, and any progress made on a Hero will be kept until they come back into rotation.

If you want permanent access to Heroes outside of free rotation, you’ll be able to earn them through gameplay, or purchase them for real money.

DO PLAYERS WHO PAY HAVE AN ADVANTAGE OVER THOSE WHO DON’T?
No. You’ll be able to earn everything that affects gameplay.

HOW DOES CUSTOMISATION WORK?

Forgot to include Microsoft is allowing Gold members on the Xbox 360 to build up their free Games with Gold library on the Xbox One prior to buying the system.

Starting today, Xbox Live Gold Members who don’t have an Xbox One yet can start building their library of Xbox One games directly from Xbox 360 by taking advantage of the Games With Gold program. You have always been able to do it this via the web and my monthly Games With Gold posts. But now, on your Xbox 360 console head to the special Games With Gold section from the link on the home page of the console and you can ‘purchase’ it there.

Previously it was only possible to download the games during their window of eligibility and couldn't grab the free Xbox One games (and vice versa) without also owning the console.

I bought, played, and beat Ori and the Blind Forest over the weekend.

I really enjoyed this, and any fan of the Metroidvania style games should check it out. It is a quite short for a game of this type, but a lot of that has to do with everything being easy to find. There are even abilities that reveal the locations of power ups on the map.

Ori controls beautifully, and there are bunch of abilities you learn along the way that make him(her?) even more of a blast. You get abilities through both story progression and through skill trees that you unlock through collecting spirit points. You get these from defeating enemies and stomping poor defenseless plants.

The most interesting is the save system. There are a few save spots throughout the world, but they are very sparse. The way you save your progress the majority of the time is creating your own save point. Like a save state on an emulator. However when you create a save point it takes a block of energy away from a meter you are given. The energy in this meter is also used to open doors, and for big charge attack. I should also note that it is only possible to access the skill tree at a created save point. This creates a great level of depth to the game, where you have to think carefully on how to best use your energy......until about a third of the way into the game, when you've collected enough meter extensions to where it;s not even an issue anymore. Seriously, this was a great idea, but it is completely underutilized, thanks to the abundance of power ups.

The game is freaking gorgeous. It is definitely one of those "indy game making a case for games as art" types. The soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful.

The difficulty isn't particularly challenging. I died plenty of times, don't get me wrong, but they were mostly dumb mistakes, and I never felt anything was truly challenging outside of the escape sections. Oh yeah, that's the other thing. In lieu of boss battles they have these escape sequences that finish off each section of the map. They're fun, and as I said, more challenging than the other parts of the game, but I think they should have thrown in a couple bosses too. This type of game just feels like something is missing without them.

That brings me to my rant. I know it's kind of a tired and cliched thing to say, but.....wow, today's gamers are pussies. I've been seeing this game get a lot of criticism. Why? The escape sequences are "TOO HARD". I'm not even that great of a platformer, and I was able to beat all of them in a handful of tries. Mean while, all these people are saying it's "cheap bullshit". No. It's not. Everything in these sections is fair. And in fact, I can see someone who is exceptionally good at platformers beating them on their first or second try. Anyone who says the challenges in this game are cheap, doesn't know the definition of the word. They should pick up an NES and find out. The problem isn't with the game. The problem is they suck.

Sorry. Had to get that off my chest. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyhoo, while it's short and has a few other minor flaws, it's still a lot of fun, and at $20 bucks, I don't think the brevity is even an issue.

Nintendo announced on the official Legend of Zelda Facebook page that the Legend of Zelda Wii U has been delayed till TBA 2016. Before the announcement, Nintendo had teased a few times at a possible late 2015 release date for the game.

Official reason given was more time needed to work on the game and looking at several "new possibilities" for changes.

Series producer Eiji Aonuma delivers the bad news in a short video, explaining that in the last few months, the team has "experienced firsthand the freedom of exploration that hasn't existed in any Zelda game to date," and that they have discovered "several new possibilities" for the game. In an effort to fully realize these ideas, the team has decided that they are "no longer making a 2015 release our number one priority."
