1) Some Nintendo related news:

Regular model of the New 3DS is currently rumored to be arriving in North America within the near future although likely as limited special collector's editions.

Based on a recent fiscal report from Ubisoft, the PS4 lead all platforms in terms of game sales revenue at 27% with the PC next at 23% for the last fiscal quarter. In terms of comparisons, Wii U game sale revenues were at 3% and Xbox One at 11%.

According to Solid Snake's Japanese voice actor, Kojima Productions was recently shut down by Konami.

The voice of Solid Snake in Japan, Akio Otsuka, has stated that Kojima Productions has disbanded.

"Kojima Productions was forced to disband, but it appears that the work that the team has been putting their utmost effort into is nearly complete," Otsuka tweeted. "But even if this is the end, Metal Gear Solid is immortal!"

Yeah, wasnt a fan of the magnetic skateboards and the game pretty much holding your hand. With any luck they learned from that mistake. Fun can be a challenge too.

I dunno, I played Skate for more realistic skating. Tony Hawk to me was all about the over the top and if they can nail that game play again I am all in. I think it has been long enough since the last non gimmick core entry that it won't be stale anymore.

Yes, but it is Robomodo, the guys who made Shred, Ride and HD. I can forgive the gimmick ones, but HD wasn't even serviceable. I got it for £7, made it to School and then just thought it would be better to dig out my Dreamcast because the fucked up the feel of the entire game.

I emailed Nintendo about the Wii U gamepad charger. The only way to buy an official one, in the UK, is to call customer service and pay £15 over the phone. Delivery can take 7 to 14 days.

Why not just have them on the UK store like NoA has them up on their store? Why do they hide this information unless asked?

Why are amiibo sold on Nintendo's UK site but not the US site?

1) Update to rumors of Devil's Third being dropped by Nintendo as recent reports hint a new publisher has picked up the game for its North American release. Nintendo did state the game itself hasn't been canceled for the region.

So re-registered for the Live Beta program to get backward compatibility, and it appears while I can play Mass Effect...no, not really because the DLC linked to my saves isnt downloadable on the One.

Lame.

I think performance on ME sucks as well unless they improved it. Other games work great though.

No problem, though be warned...unless something has changed, one of the bigger reasons I opted OUT of the program was the update every couple of weeks. Not really up frequency of the updates, but the fact that the One boots you out of whatever youre doing unceremoniously when one comes around.

Doubt anyone here would get fooled but worth a small warning regarding WWE 2k15 and people sending messages to 2K Games for help.

2K Games is currently having problems with the servers for WWE 2k15 and as a result scammers have been using it as an excuse to start phishing for as many accounts as possible. At least one Twitter account so far has been revealed to be a fraud (https://twitter.com/2KSupport_17).

2K Games have been implying the problem is not on their end even though evidence points the other way. Also their quick fix is to just restart the console/game and hope the problem went away.

Nah, think they got the go ahead since it's known as a concept, but it's not really even been said if the NX version will be like the 3DS version (AKA handheld) or like the console version, or some sort of weird clone device like the rumours that say it's a portable and a home console.

Did some quick reading and aparently that's been semi-debunked by Square. Only the PS4 and 3DS versions are confirmed while a NX version only being considered as a possible idea. Probably won't get fully confirmed or denied until Nintendo actually debuts the device.

Like Hasney mentioned, too much confusion right now on what the NX is suppossed to be.

Final Fantasy XII currently rumored to be getting the remastered treatment according to the composer and director of the Final Fantasy concert series. Adding some possibilities of the rumor being true are Square Enix recently released remastered versions of FF X and FF X-2 while the composer for FF XII was in the audience when the announcement was made.

Today at a Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concert in Pittsburgh, composer Arnie Roth stated that "there is a Final Fantasy XII remake underway," adding that it would be coming out "soon."

Square Enix hasn't made any official announcement regarding this, but given the publisher just put out enhanced versions of Final Fantasy X and X-2 for PlayStation systems, another remaster seems plausible. Also, for what it's worth, Final Fantasy XII composer Hitoshi Sakimoto was in attendance.

I don't know why I'm finding out about this now, but I am. I've just found out that there's a Mirror's Edge: Catalyst Collector's Edition.

It only appears to be available in North America at GameStop at the moment, but I can't find any news about it possibly being available in Europe.

During an interview with IGN at Gamescom, Square Enix revealed they are currently in talks with Avalanche Studios to use their Just Cause 3 engine for Final Fantasy XV.

It won't completely replace the Luminous Studio engine currently being used but will have parts of it added in to help enhance the game overall.

“We’ve got really great hopes for this discussion. What we’re going to be talking about is possibly being able to use their really unique, really high level amazing technology they have in their studio and using it as an add-on to enhance the quality of a certain specific part of our Final Fantasy XV game ...

When I saw what the guys at Avalanche Studios were doing with Just Cause 3, what really impressed me was how they have that vertical element to their games and the technology they use to achieve that kind of thing,” he said. “So I really felt that if we could borrow some of their technology and have some help on what they do to achieve that and put that into our Final Fantasy XV engine, we could see a lot of really great breakthroughs in what we’d be able to do with the game.”

Classic survival horror Resident Evil 2 is officially being remade, Capcom has announced.

While details on the project won't be revealed for some time, VideoGamer.com understands that the title will be a complete remake of the original game built for modern platforms.

The remake is being produced by Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, the producer behind this year's Resident Evil HD Remake.

"We're pleased to confirm that Resident Evil 2 has been approved for development," a Capcom representative said in a statement provided to VideoGamer.com today.

"As the title is only just starting its development cycle we unfortunately don't have any additional information or assets to share at this time. However, for now we want our fans to know that we appreciate all the feedback and support we've received on this title. We're looking forward to delivering this highly anticipated Resident Evil experience that fans have been waiting for."

Formats for the game have yet to be announced, but fans should probably expect it to hit PS4, Xbox One and PC. A release date has not been confirmed.

"It's been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have pushed the project to get approved," added Hirabayashi. "The team here at Capcom Japan really appreciates fans' passion and support and will do our best to bring fans what they really want."

It seems "cool" to hate on the new Tony Hawk game due to its bad graphics, even though most people claim they "don't care about graphics as long as the game is good," so how do you know the game isn't good.

Mostly the developer Robomodo doing the last 3 Tony Hawk games. Even giving them a pass on the two that used the board, they managed to fuck up Tony Hawk HD. They had no other work to do other than re-create some levels that were already made, but in doing so managed to ruin the physics and pressing grind suddenly gave the world gravity like Jupiter and sucked you down.

The latest footage actually doesn't look too bad in motion graphically, but my god, the actually gameplay looks like HD2.

Really? I played for a few hours yesterday and had no spawn issues. On occasion sure, but to be honest, I couldnt figure out the spawn points, they seemed fairly random to me. Regardless, this is without a doubt an improvement over Ghosts and AW.

Still a bit on the fence about Rock Band 4/Guitar Hero. Absolutely loved them last gen but they are going to be ridiculously expensive where I am. Certainly can't justify spending almost $600 on the band in the box for RB, single guitar version will be almost $300.

Guitar Hero won't be as bad, $170 for single guitar version and $240 for two guitars. Still don't know if I can justify spending that amount on them.

1) Ubisoft confirmed Rainbow Six Siege does not feature a campaign mode and instead is just a multiplayer-only game. It does have an offline mode but its more of a training mode for online.

“There is no story mode per se. You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps. You can customise matches, so that’s what we’re offering on the single-player side of things.

It’s a pretty good training ground, and on top or that you’re unlocking the same content as you would playing in PvP. You’re still gaining stars, reknown points, and new operatives”
