In The Line Of Fire - 3/10.

Boring. Slow paced. John Malkovich and Clint Eastwood talk on the phone EVERYWHERE and it's really redundant. If Clint is in a bar, John calls the bar, if Clint is at home, John calls him at home.

I agree, it was nothing *that great*. The Social Network was basically just a film with an ongoing lawsuit with undertones of getting rich while acting like an ass and losing friends with flashbacks of having parties and making websites.

This movie just fucking screams ORPHAN... The big twist at the middle and ending was that the teenage "rape victim" he rescued seduced him while the wife was suffering from blood cancer.. Also, I'm surprised and was screaming at the screen WHY THE FUCK DID HE KILL HIS WIFE WHEN HE SAW THE TEENAGE GIRL ATTACKING HIS WIFE?!?!?!" Then the ending just went from mindfuckery to depressing... The teenage girl said she's leaving cos the husband called the social services to take her back to the city where she was meant to belong. Then the film ends showing a fucking empty house a buried dead wife and a FUCKING FUCKED UP PATHETIC HUSBAND LOOKING AT EMPTY WALLS in their cabin..

FUCKING SAD SHIT I tell you.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! THIS movie fucking kicked ass so bad Tarantino's wet dream came to life and he could've thought of this idea before..

Lots of nudity, satanic sex rituals, plus a sidekick chick that can fucking kick more asses as much as Cherry Darling minus the machine gun parts. :p

Yes, it was feeling Ghost Rider cos literally this dad just went out of hell to save his baby daughter from sacrificial to Satanists red neck people.

I also enjoyed The Accountant as the devil's right hand man.. He's like Agent Smith too! Some cool Matrix moves and he even does the Harvey Dent coin flipping and everytime he does that when police show up, the coin literally fell back to his hand and VOILA A MAGIC FBI ID CARD!!!! Pretty cool devil trick eh?

I hate to admit this, but it's on the same coolness level as Tarantino's double Grindhouse flicks.

Amber Heard is fucking hot too!!

Karate Kid (Jackie Chan version): 7/10

I tried to watch this without having to compare it to the original, but it was tough when they used some of the same things/scenes from the original. It was a good movie though. Chan and Smith were really good together. Loved the part when Smith realized why Chan had him do all the "hang jacket up" and he starts doing the karate moves. Those bad kids were no Corba Kai though. Johhny Lawrence would of wiped the floor with them.

The Town 9.5/10

Loved this one. I enjoyed the whole setting of the movie in Charlestown, MA. Any movies that are set in and around Boston, NY, NJ, I can realate more to so I usually enjoy them more. Ben Aflek and his best friend in the movie were excellent in thier roles. The ending was amazing.

From Paris with Love - 8/10

Travolta was badass in this.

From Paris With Love | 79/100
Straight forward without much to get in the way. I thought Travolta's character was gonna be one of those assholes that you hate but can understand that his behavior is a necessary evil but he turns out to be caring and likable. It's probably the only role I liked him in from his recent movies. With a little polish and some tweaks this movie could have received a much higher rating from me. The Green Hornet: 6/10
- I expect more out of Michel Gondry after "Eternal Sunshine." Rogen was good but maybe he was miscast as the Hornet... I couldn't take him seriously at all as a superhero. The guy who played Kato was great and Cameron Diaz is still hot. The main bad guy is incredibly underwhelming though. James Franco and the little kid John Connor make cameos and are awesome in them but unfortunately both of them die too fast for my liking.

127 Hours: 8/10
- Excellent cinematography and acting by Franco. Danny Boyle's work is usually really good and this was no exception. I really felt for the guy trapped down there, so it was very effective.

True Grit: 10/10
- Fucking amazing. I don't usually care for Westerns but this was an incredible movie. The little girl is unbelievable and Jeff Bridges is fantastic as the bad ass US Marshall. The only thing I didn't really care for much was Matt Damon as a Texas Ranger as I felt he was hamming it up a little bit, but Josh Brolin as the redneck killer guy more than made up for it. Awesome movie.

- Tron Legacy: 4/10
I would rather cut my own balls off than watch this movie again. I'm sure the 3D was brilliant in theaters but 3D and special effects don't make a good movie - they should accentuate what is already a good movie. Fuck this shit.

I saw this in theaters months ago and hated it. Maybe I was just tired. I got a great bootleg in Belize, Mexico and rewatched it again and have to say that I was wrong after my first viewing (where I probably would've given it like a 4/10). It's not the slapstick crazy humor, like The Hangover, that I expected, but it is a great script and RDJ is very good in it. The plot gets a little weak toward the end, but some of the moments really are played up brilliantly.

Sanctum - 8/10

Rottentomatoes has given this a rotten rating, somewhere like 35%. I don't really understand why. Sure there are no top billed actors in it and the actors who are in it can be a big cheesy at times, but it accomplishes that it sets out to accomplish. My worst fear is drowning, so I naturally have this strange attraction to movies where the biggest challenge for the characters is NOT drowning. The movie is tense when it needs to be, pretty brutal in certain points, and the father/son storyline does a good job of driving the thing all the way home. I can only imagine it was an even better experience in 3D.

Heh. It was pretty decent for a no-brain action film. The cast were all good even if the characters they played didn't have much, well, character. 10/10.

this movie being an Inception Alice in Wonderland with machine guns and sword plus ala Sailor Moon style outfit.. Yes, IT'S FUCKING TRUE...
Other than that, there's lots of Burlesque style costumes and eye candy TITS N ASSES.

Despite being a regular 2-D movie, the slow mo action is more of a 3-D Sucker Punched move. Intended pun.

I'm surprised Vanessa Hudgens was in this.. Good for her. For some reason, I like her on this one instead of the sweet goody 2 shoes high school musical character. Probably deserved to move on to "daring" roles like this.

Pay attention to the clues based on the trailer: Key, Knife, Map, Fire and the 5th one. What is the 5th one? I won't tell. GO FUCKING SEE IT.

THIS.WAS.AWESOME BEYOND.. there's lots of robots in this movie after all. You won't be disappointed.. From giant robot Samurais with giant bazookas, to Nazi zombies and the Nazi general looked like Freddy Krueger without the claws and pedora hat!!!!

10/10... ZACK SYNDER IS WINNING AGAIN!!

Major bonus for this movie: Soundtrack of Bjork's Army of Me is played in most action scenes just like the trailer.

P.S. How did they achieve these wild imaginations alternate reality? Well, I'll let you pay attention to the female psychiatrist and her secret to all this is: MUSIC AND DANCE THEATRICS.

There's even a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE BLACK SWAN BALLET DANCE REHEARSALS MINUS THE TOFUS. They're wearing 50's style lingerie and panties stuff. OMNOMNOMNOM

P.S.S. The blonde heroine Baby Doll is Emily Browning aka the same little girl appeared on Jim Carrey's Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. She's a total fuckable hottie on this.

Sucker Punch 2.5/10

Honesty don't know where to start thoughts into words that are recognizable here. Neither did Zack Snyder apparently. This piece of shit gave me indigestion from the introduction. I took off my glasses so I could collect myself 10 minutes before this creature ended. Only positive feature is tremendous action scenes featuring tanned breasts. Script has a total of 18 lines of dialog that seem written for a different movie by line 15. I don't know what is god damn forget it

Raven Reaper

I disagree. Sucker Punch >>>>>>>>>> This movie.

http://spartanphoenix.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/the-warriors-way2.jpg

Now this has worse plot points. 5/10.

Main theme: Cowboys vs. Ninjas (aka The Saddest Flutes) Weird ninja group name.

Well, there's one disturbing scene where the main hero ninja had a flashback on his childhood that included killing a shi tzu dog using his sword!!! I'm serious.. And the bad-guy is his own mentor telling him to destroy all that he loves...

A few gory moments here and there.. But if Zack Snyder had directed this movie, It could've been better with cowgirls vs female ninjas.. That'll be a REAL SUCKER PUNCH sequel then. :p

P.S. Is it any wonder why Geoffrey Rush never won an Oscar these days.

Zack Snyder has good ideas. Unfortunately, instead of fleshing them out, he decides to stuff them all together into the same movie, and adds a pointless brothel thing and a forgettable "reality" for good measure. The action set-pieces could have been movies all their own if Snyder had took the time to flesh them out, and I would have paid money to see them.

Never have I cried sooo much throughout this movie... :( Very rare for a low budget film that portrays a psycho bitch mom killing her children in graphic mode.. This is my ultimate nominee for most disturbing movie since The Children (Brit horror of psycho infected children killing parents.)

Didn't know this was another "True story based scenario" on that notorious mom Andrea Yates who drowned her children in 2001. Although it's not much accurate of what happened in the movie..

Yes, this is like 2008's The Hand That Rocks the Cradle redux only more sick and twisted. They even showed one scene where mom even kills a pet dog of her child and pigs too!!

Go see this. Man, I need more tissue boxes.. The ending was just heart breaking.. :(

I agree. Two problems I had with this movie was the pacing, and the magician movements Hanna made at times. One second she's underneath the bed and literally a half second later she's clinging to the top of the bed....how'd she do that? What's she holding on to? How'd she do that so quickly? This movie is on the same awesomeness level as Spit on your Grave original. Minus the 40 minute prolonged rape scenes. Only this time, she shoots any fucking guy who simply annoys her with their sexual innuendos.

Best part: Halloween Party costume as a nun shooting every guy except women!!! And of course the alleyway where she was surrounded by 5 thugs circling her and BANNNG BANG!! Wild West shootout.. All of them fucking dead.

And this movie is not to be confused with Milla Jovovich's .45 movie.. The plot is different yet similar about vengeful women... Haven't seen Milla's .45 movie version though.

The scenes like chopping male body parts and keeping them in frige was just sick. Even worse she even makes meat grinder on them and feeds it to the landlady's dog. Priceless scene..

Seriously, if I had a dollar for every time I thought one of the above during the parts of the movie I saw (I ended up leaving about 5-10 minutes early), I would have been able to fund three different John Galt lines.

Also, did I just zone out and miss the part where Taggart Transportation International (or whatever the fucking train company was called) got a huge bailout from the government?

uhuh..

Anyway..

I Spit on Your Grave Remake - 6/10

Never saw the original, but the included trailer for the original looked a bit more interesting than what was to come later on. The Sheriff being a bad guy was blatant, the rape scene wasnt as disturbing as I was expecting, and the fact that she goes AWOL for a month and then comes back as the Jigsaw Killer's next protege just doesnt do anything for me. The special effects werent that great either (looking at you, stupid CGI crows).

Morning Glory - Don't know why I watched this, just kinda ended up on my TV. Harrison Ford was good I guess, but the scene where he approaches the corrupt senator was so bad I had to lie down with a hot towel on my head. Overall, pretty boring and felt long even though it was only an hour and forty minutes long.

Kes - Awesome english movie about a troubled kid and his pet falcon. 9/10

Oasis - Korean movie about a troubled, socially awkward guy who falls in love with a girl with cerebral palsy. Awkwardly walks a fine line between good and bad taste (cringeworthy scene where he makes her sing Karoake) but is actually kinda touching without being sentimental. 8/10

More of a comedy superhero than a serious one. It even had funny shit dialogues like when Thor's allies showed up on planet earth in costumes, the police agent goes, "Ummm, we have visitors. Jackie Chan, Xena, and Robin Hood." LOLZ.

Also, it was very awkward and out of place of Natalie's character chemistry with Thor... Other than that, it was a cool movie. Anthony Hopkins is a brilliant Odin character portrayal. No nonsense dad, disciplined, strict yet dignified iron clad ruler...

And, despite it was an all in all out moviehouse, there's an extra ending after the end credits. I don't know what it is. I missed it cos the usher told me to get out. Fuck.

6/10.

Scream 4 - 7/10

I didnt like the double fake opening, which I thought got the movie started out on the wrong foot. The first hour or so was slow to develop but the ending was good and I didnt really see it coming at all. Im pretty sure since it bombed at the box office there wont be another which was what I was worried about.

Nothing scarier than a ghost fetus haunting a particular locker room where everytime someone opens it, he/she gets a wish of a having a future spouse.. Fucked up creepy plot I tell you. In a good way.

And I wasn't able to finish THIS but I will LATER THIS EVENING.. FUCKING better shit mixture of Paranormal Activity + Blair Witch style mockumentary:

http://www.mercuryrapids.co.uk/foundfootage/noroithecurse-1.jpg

If Sadako is to The Ring, Then Kagutaba is to Noroi!!! It involves sorcery stuff..

Scariest parts of the movie is like one of those youtube vids where the main paranormal guy interviews someone and all of a sudden a ghost appears behind any dark scene... Also the part where the girl was able to use her ESP on a bottle to make water materialize before mixed with a little hair gave me total chills as well.

And the part where the woman plays a Kagutaba demon with a mask like this one on the cover was just fucking CREEEPY JEEBIES.. to me. I saw this wayyy past 10 PM and I almost never went to sleep... Fuuuuuck. I wanna finish it today.

I give these 2: 9/10.

I like the portrayal of the Christian church as the new government yet acts like the NEW CIA/FBI gun toters of the city and how the citizens of it really suck it up much like today's Christian born-again people. As for the vamps themselves, they resemble more like the Hell Knights and Pink Demons of Doom 3... I liked how their weapons morph into sharp bad-ass metal crucifixes.. They even have ala Mad Max future biker that has a rocket booster nitro indicator.. Also, I think I like their cross tattoos on their foreheads.. I think I wanna be a futuristic priest. They look cooler than the standard conservative outfits. And I didn't know this was based on a Korean comic book stuff of the same name. The intro of the film started at first like a bloody Samurai X episode...

P.S. There's even a huuuuuuuuuuge queen alien reference rip off during one of the main plot "twist."

Another reason why I saw this: Maggie Q <3333333333. :p

Doubt it, wasn't the highest budget/production film knocking around. It was hardly meant to be your typical Hollywood hitman film. I thought it was 'pretty great', would probably have given it at least an 8 if I wasn't so lazy with posting in this thread. The atmosphere and the...intensity? more than 'made up' for the lack of the usual Hollywood stuff.
