LOL THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING!
I love how Cornette basically calls Kenny a pedophile and Bolin's response is "meh".
Also, changing the name of the supermarket after it had been mentioned multiple times already.
Plus Jerry Jarrett is still a godawful moderator.

lol. It's so weird how Kenny doesn't really refute most of the shitty things Cornette brings up but instead is just like "Well, yeah..." and then at the end he's like "It's obvious I've won this debate." lol

Jerry Jarrett's awful moderating and his weird obsession with Rush Limbaugh at the end was killing me. Especially when he says Kenny's meat scam was worse that Limbaugh's drug addiction and Cornette was like "... Yeah!"
Also, his response to having tons of godfathers for his son is the fact that only one is a godfather and the others are godbrother, step-godfather, etc.

Did the moonsault to Sorensen come off bad on TV?
no idea, only started watching as Aries/Shelley started, read Hogan say something on Twitter about a bad break, what happened?

TNA star Jesse Sorensen was injured during the TNA Against All Odds pay-per-view. Sorensen was in a match with Zema Ion at the pay-per-view and suffered the injury when Ion hit Sorensen with an asai moonsault from the middle rope. The result was Ion’s knees going directly into Sorensen ‘s face. The match was then immediately stopped.
Dixie Carter tweeted the following: “Jesse Sorensen was injured in the opening match of tonight’s PPV. He is currently being transported to the hospital. I will keep you updated”
http://www.tpww.net/2012/02/tna-star-injured-at-against-all-odds-pay-per-view/
gonna go ahead and call Xema Ion a dick unless Sorenson was hugely out of position or something

lol TNA PPV discussion is relegated to the 100,001 replies thread.
lol I'm not sure it's even discussion/if I'd "interact" with others about it, I'm just killing time and making observations since I have about 7 hours to kill, don't even have the sound on
so yah, "lol TNA" pretty much
#1-norm-fan
02-12-2012, 10:42 PM
There was an actual thread for Destination X. I remember because I saw it and it's the only reason I found a stream and watched it for discussion sake. It was disappointing.
They should do a PPV in England.
ahahahaha the finish of the main. Everytime I see a TNA PPV, it's always the ridiculous booking, same shit evvvvvvery time. How the fuck have they still not learned

Haven't seen it, but if I had to bet, I'd say it's either a freak accident, or Sorenson's fault.
Sorenson's fault maybe yeah but outside of that, his knees shouldn't really be anywhere near his face #lookingforareasontogooffontheskinnyflippyindyguy
What Would Kevin Do?
02-12-2012, 11:02 PM
Honestly though, unless Ion fucked up the rotation, or did something stupid like kept his legs together, Sorenson's in the better position to see where Ion's knees are.
Also, is Ion really that indy flippy? From what I've seen of him he's not that bad.
Immortal Moose
02-12-2012, 11:08 PM
He is flippy.
from what I've seen of him (namely the X Division 4 way spotfests when they were bringing in a bunch of guys a while ago and the odd singles) pretty much. It's just more the mindless non-stop sequences with the lulls in between while waiting for somebody to get into position or setup complicatedplex 35 because they aren't very good etc. That and it just reaaaaally rubs me the wrong way when somebody gets hurt because of something needless, even more so when it's that "style"
What Would Kevin Do?
02-12-2012, 11:27 PM
I couldn't agree more. I don't get the stupid "2 guys have a spot exhange ending with both being out of the ring, so the other two guys can do the same thing, and then the one guy remaining in the ring does some uncontrolled flip because the other 3 should be able to catch him."
The X-division really needs to be a place where there are "cool moves" that actually make sense and work well. It's possible to do a match with indy flips while still having a good, structured, logical match.
yup. AJ/Kazarian and Shelley/AA (finish was a bit shit) from tonight are prime examples. Even the odd spotfest can have a place but the problem is most of them nowadays are surrounded on a card by 13 others spotfests featuring 30 other equally non-descript skinny guys who have nothing else in their repertoire
Saw the amazing triple threat X-Division title match featuring Styles, Joe and Daniels. Saw some Petey Williams too. Loved TNA back in the days.

Was watching TNA's Against All Odds. To be honest it wasn't a bad PPV, and the biggest criticism I have is the commentating. Tenay and Borash are awful. So incredibly boring. There is just no enthusiasm in their voices, as all these huge spots are taking place they just sit there and call the action in dull, boring, monotonic voices.
You can all criticise Michael Cole for 'going off topic' and 'burying the talents', but at least he does it with enthusiasm in his voice.

No, Cole's voice is the most annoying thing.
Why was Borash was commentating? I haven't watched a TNA PPV in ages, but was Taz there as well? Tenay isn't great, but I would take him over cole in a heartbeat. That's any version of Cole, not just "heel" Cole.

I was just about to post pretty much the exact same thing. I watched that clip and it just reminded me of how bad the TNA commentating is.
I'd say that might be my biggest gripe with TNA. I've never liked Mike Tenay, even during his WCW days, and I've never liked Jeremy Borash, period. Both of them have voices that just irritate the shit out of me. :-\
I was thinking the same thing. I guess nobody can ever truly prepare for these things though, so when they do happen your reaction could be completely the opposite of what you'd like to think you would do.
Yeah, but they should have protocol. If that happened in WWE the match would have stopped dead and with good reason.

Sorrenson was definitely out of position. Meltzer said it best on radio today, Ion did the right thing by walking out and playing character. That was the professional way to handle it.
Sorrenson flinched and paid for it, it sucks. He'll recover. Xema probably feels like shit, I'm sure, but he landed how he was supposed to to be caught on the shoulder.

I'd blame the ref more than Ion regarding the after the move situation.
Ion was playing to the crowd the whole time so either he had a feeling something went wrong (ala Owen Hart when he injured Austin) while the ref half-assed the counting and didn't even bother to finish the count out. Ref probably wasn't sure what to do until very late and just ended the match.

"Jesse Sorensen has sustained a C1 vertebrae fracture with spinal cord edema. He is slowly regaining feeling and movement in his arms and legs. He wants to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Once we speak to the neurosurgeon, we will pass on more details."

well that's just fucking stupid, he basically turns himself into a fucking missile by coming down at that angle. prick.

Shame Sorenson didn't just move out of the fucking way.
Maybe he watched Raw last week and then found out what happened to The Miz. :shifty:
Sorrenson was definitely out of position. Meltzer said it best on radio today, Ion did the right thing by walking out and playing character. That was the professional way to handle it.
Sorrenson flinched and paid for it, it sucks. He'll recover. Xema probably feels like shit, I'm sure, but he landed how he was supposed to to be caught on the shoulder.
it doesn't matter what position he's in, with that guy coming down like that, he's going take a pasting almost no matter where he is, "flinching" my arse. And yeah, he should recover given it's C1 (aka "the worst of the worst"/most dangerous vertebra) and he's already moving his arms and regaining some feeling in his legs, nowhere near that cut and dry though, these injuries can take like 18 months to even diagnose properly with that time coming down given the severity. And he absolutely should feel like shit. To the extent he should pretty much just fuck off. And he didn't land anything like anybody should land, if he hadn't of hit Sorrenson, he'd have landed on his head and possibly killed himself and that says everything.
ever see Shawn Michaels, Cody Rhodes, Chris Daniels etc do a "moonsault" looking anything like that?

Meltzer said it best on radio today, Ion did the right thing by walking out and playing character. That was the professional way to handle it.
Next Impact! has Xima Ion wearing a "XEMA 3:16" shirt a la Owen.
I think the running commentary speaks volumes about how people view the talent roster of TNA X-Div... or even just lower-tier wrestlers altogether, around here. Botched high-risk spot between Ion/Sorensen and "Flippy McFlipperton shouldn't be doing all that bullshit!!1!". Miz misses R-Truth, and he's not getting railed nearly as much because he's the fucking Miz, an established WWE guy that will get the benefit of the doubt, even though Killings could have easly fell on his own damn head.
The only true difference here is someone got hurt in one and the other was lucky. Those are the risks they take. We could play pass the blame all day, but at the end of the day, that could have happened to anyone on any given night. Yes, even from Daniels' BME.
"The Cameraman" was released from the aftermath of a missed mark from an Undertaker dive a couple years back. No one really mentioned past the Royal Rumble how Hunico could have suffered the same fate because Camacho was ALL THE WAY on the other side of the ring.
I'm not blaming either guy. It was a damned accident. Those occasionally happen in wrestling. Hell, one of the greatest mat wrestlers of all time (Kurt Angle) has had some pretty nasty looking/landing moonsaults. So has Lesnar. And Rey Rey. And both Hardys. Even goddamn Jericho. No one is calling for any of their heads. This one guy fucks up once, and the IWC Gestapo wants to railroad him out of the business. Get the fuck outta here with that noise.
The best that can come out of this is the following progression: Ion and TNA spin this into character development, Xema doesn't get discouraged because he hurt someone to the point where he becomes self-conscious and even more dangerous due to "safety overcompensation", checks on Jesse out of decent human compassion, Sorensen makes a full recovery, they play this up into an angle when Jesse returns, and life moves on. No one needs to be bitter or little about this.
It would be a different story if either guy were drunk or high or something.
That's my thought on the matter, and that's all I'm saying. Flame away if you want.
I'm sorry but that's quite a ridiculous post on quite a few levels. There is a huge difference between somebodies massive incompetence and hesitation leading to somebody getting seriously hurt and the mis-communication/mis-timing/awkward landings etc that usually leads to injury.
"Flippy McFlipperton shouldn't be doing all that bullshit!!1!".
and the IWC Gestapo wants to railroad him out of the business. Get the fuck outta here with that noise.
also, these might be the most fucking idiotic/"completely missing the point" things I've read in the wrestling forum in a while

ANYONE ELSE would've had their shoulder in Xema's midsection. That's how you're trained. Sorrenson is green and made a mistake. He's paying for it. Xema feels bad, but he has done that move longer than Sorrenson has been wrestling and hasn't KO'd anyone else with it. There's no other way to look at the situation.

yeah, that's not "how you're trained" at all. In the same way that's not how you're trained to execute a moonsault, in fact quite the opposite. And 'ANYONE ELSE' is bullshit, if that'd have been anyone else, it'd simply be a different name we'd be reading as the person that got hurt. And because he "hasn't hurt anybody before" isn't anything approaching an excuse either. And because Sorenson is green doesn't automatically put him at fault, in the same sense that Droz being green and getting dropped on his head didn't make it his fault. The only thing he's fault at for is not telling Zema to fuck off when going over the match. Not to mention Zema Ion is hardly a beacon of experience either.
You only have to look at other stuff of his, the guy is fucking reckless. Congratulations, you can do some flips. Means absolutely fuck all if you can't do it safely or even make it look half decent. I mean, the video is right there plain as day to see for everybody. There is no defending him. He fucked up and somebody else got hurt because of it.

Don't think I'd go that far but that would be an awesome program though 2-3 years seems a tad long don't ya think? Honestly I'd just like to see James Storm as he is now you know same gimmick, same name, same theme in WWE. The guy is good in the ring and perfectly acceptable on the mic as a face. Plus I love the whole southern/cowboy gimmick(could be the southwesterner in me). Not enough guys who use that today.

Also on the whole Ion/Sorenson thing I'm not gonna go and tell Xema to "Get the hell out" or anything. I do feel it was more his fault, but it was still an accident, and accidents happen in wrestling. The guy should get demoted on the card for it no doubt, but as JR usta say "It aint ballet."

By him over rotating and tucking, he had enough force of a flying knee there. He might've been a little short too looking back at it.

I legitimately want to cop some of these. LOL..cant find em on the site.. = \
Why are there 2 Randy Orton buddies in the set?
Did someone make a mistake setting that up or there is only 4 buddies in the series and not 5.
Was just wondering why there are so many scrub threads in the wrestling forum and realized it's Mania season.

I honestly thought one of the Ortons was Punk for a minute.

Does this happen every year? :nono:

You could easily darken the hair color and add a Pepsi logo and it's Punk.
Why is MisterLee posting non-wrestling related memes in the Wrestling Forum without reprisals!?!?!

Because I gave him three strikes.
MisterLee, as the Anonymous Global Moderator of the Wrestling Forum, I must advise you to cease and desist all non-wrestling related meme pictures in the wrestling forum. Please take it to Casual, but I warn you that they will probably rip you to pieces there. They are not as forgiving as I.

I'm gonna go ahead and say take that with a grain of salt.
F4Wonline has the story too
Randy Orton was reportedly injured in his match against Big Show at Monday's RAW Supershow from San Diego, California. Word is that Orton won't be able to compete in Sunday's Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Title.
No details are available yet but it looks like Orton will be replaced by Mark Henry, who is being brought back early from injury due to lack of depth on the roster. We will update with more news as it becomes available.

If true that kinda sucks but Show, Khali, and Henry in the chamber will surely be a match for the ages.
Christian, Del Rio and Msyterio are all ready to return, so maybe w'll see one of them in the Chamber

When Orton came back recently, was he fully healed or he got cleared to come back earlier than expected?
Didn't expect him to go back to a full workload when he came back and thought initially his time back was meant just to prevent Barrett from being successful at the Rumble itself.

"* WWE.com is reporting that Randy Orton suffered a concussion on RAW after Daniel Bryan hit him over the head with the World Title. We can’t yet confirm where the injury occurred."
If this is the case, I bet we see a new WHC soon.

I highly doubt Orton legit got a concussion from a shot with the title. The concussion may be real, but I'm pretty sure the title shot causing it isn't.

I had a dream that Kofi won MITB at Mania, and then cashed in on Jericho at the end of the night after Jericho cheated to beat Punk, and Kofi became the new WWE Champion. I marked out IN my dream.

If you rewatch the match you can see Orton was down and out after that title shot. Like on the outside getting checked on by a ref. Hopefully it wasn't the title shot.
So you mean he was selling the belt shot
