You also have to love how String was like "I agree" to the bullshit chants. Looked like he didn't let Hardy up either. Hardy tried to kick out, LOL. Watching it again it also looks like Sting tricked Hardy into the finisher.

My favorite part is when Sting gets in Jeff's face in the corner like "come on motherfucker". That and the pin where Jeff tries to kick out and Sting is all "lol nah".

The E really dropped the ball with Ted though. I loved that Angle where he paid Primo and Carlito to be hired Henchman even if it was only once. More stuff like that woulda been great.

Agreed with dropping the ball. Having him start up his "Fortunate Son" gimmick was a good idea. Searching for a Virgil was a decent start, and getting Virgil himself was solid as well. Then they rushed everything and he just kind of got tossed aside.

He should have had Virgil with him far longer than he did, having Virgil assist him in winning matches as a distraction while Ted took advantage. Adding the Dream Street side russian leg sweep into a camel clutch-like manuever would have been great as well. Faces tapping out to a heel helps get them over as a bit more legit.

But no, they dropped Virgil for Maryse in the blink of an eye, with zero build and zero payoff. If anything, adding Maryse should have led to either Ted winning even more so than he was and getting a decent upper mid card run to oppose Morrison, or losing momentum after dropping Virgil, and ultimately building to dump Maryse.

There is still a chance, since Ted is so young. But they need to get his character going pronto.

At the WWE Smackdown tapings this past week in Kansas City, Big Show was supposed to be thrown through a table by Ezekiel Jackson, but the table didn't end up breaking and Show ended up with a high bruise on his forearm reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Big Show was scheduled to wrestle in a dark match after the tapings, but was unable to due to the injury.

Apparently, World WRESTLING Entertainment are offended that they are perceived as a WRESTLING company.

TVWeek.com put out a headline mentioning 'Drew Carey inducted into pro wrestling Hall of Fame'. Later, they received an email from WWE publicist, Kellie Baldyga, demanding that they change the headline, mentioning that "We are no longer a wrestling company but rather a global entertainment company with a movie studio, international licensing deals, publisher of three magazines, consumer good distributor and more."

Baldyga added "No, we don't do wrestling events. They're entertainments. And we don’t call them wrestlers. They’re superstars and divas."

TVWeek refused to change the headline. They just removed it. She then followed up, writing "I know the perception is that we are a wrestling company but we are actually much more than that--we are a global media company which is how our Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon, positions us."

Well it isn't just that comic book. In Futurama, Leeha gives Amy a piledriver in Jurassic Bark. Again Leeha is hold Amy the same way. In street fighter, Zangief graps the other guy by the ankles for the pile driver.

I do not remember that theme.

I LOVED that theme. He came back after an injury, short lived weight loss, and a 1st place at a lifting competition as fresh fuel for the "World's Strongest Man" gimmick. Was face for a couple of weeks using both this theme, then the one it was changed to that sounds "close enough" then briefly dissappeared again before being paired with Rodney Mack and Teddy Long. From what I heard, it was the sample from that Antiloop song being uncleared is why it was so briefly used.

NXT was decent this week.

Even though being a heel doesn't help with fan voting, Lucky Cannon being the only heel this season is going to help him a lot in the long term. Regal on commentary said that while he will lose in contests based on crowd cheers, he's already a winner in getting people to pay attention to him with the booing.

Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check which has come back marked "insufficient funds." But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation.

So we have come to cash this check - a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice. We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of God's children. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the Negro. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights.

The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges. But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.

We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.
The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.

We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" we can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

That's exactly what I DON'T want to see happen with the return of blood in the 'E. Yeah, it was an acceptable level of overtheatrics for the time and for that show, got the "injury" across, and was likely the only blood spot done for at least 3 months. Period. I don't want that level of hokey happening every week on tv, losing appeal and impact along the way.

I promise that I'm back for good and that I'm here to stay." He said that, what, six or seven weeks ago? Have we even seen him live since then? No. Via satellite. I think Cena will own The Rock. I think Cena is wittier and can go off the cuff. Cena writes his own stuff, while The Rock has stuff written for him. It just all comes down to who you are in the ring and what kind of performer you are in the ring, and I think Cena is 10 times the performer in the ring that The Rock is. This Monday in Chicago, he'll prove it.

Mostly fund raising and charity work. From what I'm told they were part of awa like 10 years ago. In the past year they have been trying to put on more shows. We have had shows ever Saturday for the past year. Its all really low grade stuff, but we are getting a little following in the towns we run. We all are pretty green.

Haha there is a loooooooong story behind all that. The short version is she is married to another guy in this little group I have. The big guy I worked in that match and my friend were apart of a tag team with the girl as the manager. I did some heelish tactics and split the team up.

This match was the first time we ran in this town. Duke and I got sent out as the first match to try to get the crowd popping for the rest of the card. That's the explanation for all the big spots throughout the match.

Well I work for another group about 90 miles away as a baby, so it really just depends on the group I'm working for at the time. I prefer heel, though. heels usually control the pace of the match and call it out there. It takes a good heel to get a crowd to give a shit about a baby face and I like the challenge.

I haven't watched the match but you go out and pop a crowd with a bunch of big spots in the opener, you can damage the rest of the show. They've already seen a bunch of big spots from the get-go so why would they care when somebody else comes out later for the 'important' matches and does the same? You just need to get them involved, they've seen nothing at that point so they'll pop for simple punches and kicks for 8-10 minutes if you do them properly and at the right time.
