– According to The West Central Tribune, Eugene Otto “Buck” Zumhofe will stand trial on December 6th of 2013. he is facing 12 felony counts of criminal sexual conduct for having alleged sexual contact with a young female relative approximately 1,800 times between 1999 and 2011.
During an evidence hearing on Monday, “a 24-year-old Wisconsin woman testified that she traveled with Zumhofe’s wrestling troupe for a time around 2006 to 2007. The woman, who was 17 years old at the time, said that she awoke early one morning to find Zumhofe sexually touching her, as she slept on the floor of the one motel room occupied by the troupe.”

According to the dirtsheets, Tito Ortiz and Rampage Jackson have been pulled out of TNA due to Bellator being upset at how TNA has handled both guys.

TNA President Dixie Carter returned to television tonight on the No Surrender edition of Impact Wrestling. While meeting with general manager Hulk Hogan, Dixie announced that MMA legends Rampage Jackson and Tito Ortiz have been pulled from their product by Bellator. The story is that Bellator was not happy about how physical a role the two fighters have played in TNA, and they are pulling Tito and Rampage to protect their upcoming debut pay-per-view.

The report mentions that James contract originally signed in September 2013 was re-drafted and offered as some type of extension to Mickie, which she declined.

At this time, there is no word on whether James will return to the WWE or focus solely on her country music career.

Found an article that compares this year's SummerSlam to the 2011 version. The last few parallels (face diva winning, a no DQ match taking place...) aren't really that crazy. Kinda odd how similar they are though. Randy Orton and Alberto del Rio both walked out as a main champion, John Cena and Christian lost the main championship matches, Triple H refereed the main event which ended with a MITB cash-in...

Anyway, here's the article.

TNA rumored to be considering going back to a single location for Impact tapings.

For those wondering, they can't go back to their old spot in Orlando since the WWE bought out their Universal Studios spot for the rumored Hall of Fame location.

TNA officials have discussed the idea of pulling the Impact tapings from the road and returning to a single location for the television tapings, as we first reported in Dot Net Weekly over a week ago. Multiple sources report that Las Vegas and Orlando are under the strongest consideration

Sources feel it's a foregone conclusion that the tapings will eventually move back to a single location, and one source predicted it will occur early next year at the latest. Obviously, this would be a cost cutting measure.

This is the first time that the WWE title has been recognized as being vacant. This is odd.

It's definitely been vacant multiple times. For some reason the title history on WWE.com just skips the "vacant" spots though.

it sucks that it happened in the shithole territory that was Central States.

Kinda neat that Flair and JJ wrestled on the same card though.

Hulk Hogan's contract with the company expires on October 1, according to multiple sources within the company. There is no indication that Hogan and TNA have come to terms on a new deal. Sources within the Hogan camp declined to comment on the matter.

Outside of obvious monetary reasons, wouldn't be surprised if no new deal is done unless Hogan were to take a huge pay cut.

Assuming the dirtsheets have been correct, he (and Bischoff) have almost no real support left in management while the overall resentment towards him has grown a lot ever since money issue became a huge concern.

Mr. Nerfect

Getting rid of Hogan would save TNA a lot of money. Hogan really hasn't helped TNA too much, as nice as the idea was at the time. TNA should be purchased by Ted DiBiase, Jr., who uses his power to put himself in advantageous situations.

I kind of want Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton to be some sort of new match type, as a way to try and get people further into paying for a match they've already paid for. Just call it a "Battleground Match" and give it a try. Few people are in a position to introduce a new match concept like Daniel Bryan, due to his great storytelling ability.

I had this idea that it could be some sort of "changing" match. It'd start off as a regular match for five minutes, but after that it becomes a second sort of match. Then after the next five minutes, it temporarily becomes a Ladder Match (the belt is hanging in case the Ladder Match comes up). After five minutes it becomes a Submission Match. That sort of thing. But that could be a hard sort of match to plan out and maybe slightly confusing for some people to follow.

Another concept could be the first to three falls. Different from a 2/3 Falls Match, the victor must defeat his opponent three times, meaning the match will last between 3 and 5 falls.

That "3 Strike Match" could be an interesting concept. Maybe you have to pin your opponent, get them to submit and get them KO'ed for 10-seconds (like in a Last Man Standing Match). The first to achieve all three wins the match.

I somehow missed that the WWE has re-signed Gavin Spears to a developmental contract. I was actually just thinking about this guy the other day. He never really did too much for the WWE, but he was a featured performer in OVW back when it was a developmental territory and played a small role on ECW, but never really gained much traction.

It'll be interesting to see just what, if anything, Spears achieves in the WWE. Keep in mind that a performer in OVW called Aaron Stevens got called up to the main roster as Idol Stevens, essentially did not much of anything, got released and eventually got re-signed as and re-packaged as Damien Sandow.

Here's how I would book Battleground to try and make it stand out as a PPV:

* The Kickoff Match is a six-man tag pitting The Usos & Justin Gabriel against The Wyatt Family. Bray Wyatt pins Justin Gabriel with Sister Abigail in a match designed to continue the winning streak of The Family.

* The opening match of the PPV is a World Heavyweight Championship match pitting Alberto Del Rio against Rob Van Dam. Due to Del Rio getting himself intentionally disqualified at Night of Champions (which isn't "best for business"), RVD has been allowed to name what sort of match he gets with Del Rio at Battleground; and RVD has selected that Ricardo Rodriguez is the Special Guest Referee. Ricardo has promised to call this right down the middle, because he has too much respect for the World Heavyweight Championship to taint it, but Del Rio doesn't believe that. He strikes Ricardo during the match. Del Rio goes to use a weapon on Del Rio, but Ricardo grabs the weapon out of nowhere. He clocks Del Rio with it instead and then RVD heads up and hits a Five Star Frog Splash for the win. Ricardo gets to count the shoulders of the former employer who betrayed him and announce his new best friend the World Heavyweight Champion.

* The Prime Time Players defeat The Shield to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. Darren Young plays face-in-peril, but tags in O'Neil who cleans house. O'Neil hits Clash of the Titus on Rollins, but Reigns saves the match. Young tags back in and O'Neil and Reigns brawl to the outside, and Reigns sends O'Neil into the ring steps. Reigns goes to Spear Young, but Darren leap-frogs over and Reigns Spears Rollins. Young hits the Gut Check on Reigns and then covers Rollins for the three.

* Natalya defeats AJ Lee with the Sharpshooter to become the new Divas Champion. These two actually get the time to wrestle a full match and Nattie gets the smart and clean victory over AJ. After the match, Tyson Kidd comes out and celebrates with Natalya on the stage.

* Dean Ambrose wins two straight falls in a Fatal 4-Way Match that is contested for both the United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship, defeating Curtis Axel, Dolph Ziggler & Kofi Kingston. The first fall is for Curtis Axel's IC Title, which Ambrose wins when he grabs Ziggler and finishes him with his signature Headlock Driver. Like a boss, Ambrose then retains his United States Championship when he catches Kofi in a Crossface Chickenwing, and Kofi's arm drops and the referee calls the match.

* CM Punk defeats Ryback in a Street Fight. The two brawl all over the place and use tables, ladders and chairs to beat the crap out of each other. Punk manages to chase Paul Heyman to somewhere near the stage area, and he looks to hurt Heyman in a big way, but Curtis Axel comes out of nowhere and tries to save Heyman, only for Axel to get tossed off the stage. Ryback then takes advantage of the match and tosses Punk back into the ring, unconscious. Heyman is calling for Punk's blood and tells Ryback not to finish the match yet -- "Hurt him!" Ryback gets another table out and looks to powerbomb Punk through it, but Punk counters and roundhouse kicks Ryback in the head, slumping him onto the table. Punk goes for the Savage Elbow on the tabled Ryback, but Heyman gets on the apron. Punk kicks Heyman off and then drives his elbow through the heart of Ryback and gets the pin to beat Heyman's newest pet project.

* Daniel Bryan defeats Randy Orton in a 3 Strikes Match to become the new WWE Champion. The first fall is pinfall only, which Bryan wins when he manages to backslide Orton after an RKO attempt about fifteen minutes into the match. Bryan is up to the second strike, which is submission. Orton gets frustrated by Bryan's submission attempts and loses it, kicking Bryan low. Orton then hits the RKO on Bryan and gets the pin, also reaching the submission stage. Orton then wears down Bryan with chinlocks, and they even do a tease where Bryan's arm goes to drop, but he keeps fighting. Bryan hits some of his signature moves, but the commentators stress that he can't pin Orton. Bryan eventually manages to lock in The YES! Lock and Orton is forced to tap out, leading to the final fall -- Last Man Standing. Orton is still looking for his submissions, and busts out moves like the Figure Four, which JBL points out could take out Bryan's legs, which makes standing in the final round difficult. Bryan has a counter for everything, though, and manages to hit his new knee strike finisher to knock Orton out for the ten count. Bryan wins the match 3-1.

But it puts Heyman and his guys over so that when Punk finally get the win, it's more meaningful.

According to Dave Meltzer/Wrestling Observer, the odds of Mr Anderson signing a new contract with TNA don't look good right now. Also face the possibility of only being able to keep one between AJ and Sting since both deals end around the same time.

Hogan isn’t the only contract due, with Mickie James and Ken Anderson having been written out at the last TV, even though the door is still open for both to return if a deal is worked out. It’s well known that A.J. Styles, who is now being pushed as the company’s top babyface, and will be doing a TV feud with owner Dixie Carter, has his current short-term deal expire at the end of the year. Sting’s contract also expires at the end of the year. A few months back, people in WWE were talking about having a legitimate shot at getting Sting for a WrestleMania appearance, something which hasn’t been seriously talked about in years.

Sting and Kurt Angle are the second and third highest paid performers in the company, although Sting works far more limited dates, including almost no house shows.

At another time, the renewal of Hogan and Sting’s contract would be considered formalities from the TNA side, with the only question being if they would want to leave. But with the financial problems the company is facing, and so many performers being dropped when their contracts have expired, or being let go, every major expense is subject to review.

Big Star potential in the Shield, in Order...

1. Reigns
2. Ambrose
3. Rollins

I love how everyone keeps writing Rollins off. I'm telling you, he's gonna be the guy later on, while Reigns becomes yet another "powerful big man" lost in the shuffle, and Ambrose gets misused in spite of his apparent skills and seal of approval from various credible sources.

WWE Hall of Famer Sunny went on Facebook and admitted that she was not mugged earlier this week and is not adopting a child from Cambodia. Sunny made up these stories to mess with wrestling websites. Here's what she wrote: "Soooooo my plan worked!! Every time I put a status on facebook, every wrestling website writer copies it and posts it as their status!! WELL, I guess I got the best of them this time! For the past two days Ive been making up the craziest crap, just to see if they post it as factual news, without checking the facts first!! And yep! They did! Isnt it sad that these "journalists" have no real skills for actual reporting other than copying bogus social media status updates!! Reminds me of a couple years ago, when I said "one of the TNA knockouts was expecting"..remember that??? Yep, I made that one up too to see if they'd run with it... So FANS, Im sorry i had to include you all on this charade, but I DIDNT get mugged, NOR am I adopting a child from Cambodia. And WRITERS, maybe you'll think twice before you copy my statuses again...it just makes you look gullible and STUPID that you jump on things BELIEVING you have the newest BIG SCOOP, when in actuality, you have nonsense that just makes you look pathetic...... I originally put this in the wrong spot. But, I don't know which of these guys was more entertaining here. Evans sold everything wonderfully. And I kind of hope to see someone photoshop Ryback's head on a Concert Pianist.

Now, for something completely different.

I love how everyone keeps writing Rollins off. I'm telling you, he's gonna be the guy later on, while Reigns becomes yet another "powerful big man" lost in the shuffle, and Ambrose gets misused in spite of his apparent skills and seal of approval from various credible sources.

I'm actually not writing Rollins off at all. I'm not saying that Reigns is going to be a multi-time WWE Champion and Rollins is going to be sucking dick for soup line money.

I'm saying this: when I look at the upsides of all three members, and the guys most likely to be Big stars, I see Reigns comparable to Batista, who was a big guy and all he had going for him initially was his size. He then started working with and off of guys who were so good at what they do he had no choice but to improve. He can bump really well for a guy his size and his timing is great. When the time comes for him to explode on his own, he will be as big a star as Batista was (and don't kid yourselves, Batista did pretty well for himself). That's not a maybe it will happen, barring a colossal fuck up that tops the Ryback fuck up, it's a guarantee.

Ambrose will get there by virtue of his personality. This one isn't a guarantee, but he will probably get there within a few years.

Rollins is a bit of a question mark, but he could definitely follow the career path of a Jeff Hardy, hopefully without the outside of the ring issues. If he gets there, which again isn't a guarantee, but it'll take him longer than the other two. Not saying it won't happen, because it very well could. I have him at third only because I see the other two getting there before him, not because of some short-coming he has.

Lol great how ECW managed to stream PPV's in the friggen 90's and ROH still can't manage that in 2013.

From what I've read and understand, ROH is pretty lazy when it comes to stream testing with a few stories of them waiting until a show is about to start to do an actual test. Also still have problems adjusting to the fact the demand and stress is a lot higher than what they keep assuming.

Don't think they even tested the streams last night and just assumed GFL's new streaming stuff would work.

Lock Jaw
09-21-2013, 09:33 PM
They test the stream the day of, because that is when they set up all their gear/equipment. Generally this occurs several hours before the show. The problem has mostly been their servers' ability to handle the high amount of traffic. Switching to GFL's servers and stuff is a step to remedying the issue.

You'd think that a company who stopped doing regular ppv's and does only iPPV's now would have this figured out by now. It comes off VERY bush league. ECW was streaming ppv's in 1994 for crying out loud.
