It really depends on if it's truly the company name or just the show name.

It's stupid if it's JUST the show's name and they downplay the TNA name there only. It's a great thing if it's the company's name, because that needed to be changed a long time ago. It's definitely for the best if it's a company name change.

Though, isn't there or wasn't there an Impact Wrestling indy promotion somewhere? I swear I've heard the name before. Could get TNA backed into a corner for at least a payout.

I really hope it's a slow burn name change type of deal, I feel like one of the biggest things holding TNA back is it's own name, and Impact Wrestling is a pretty great name for a company I think. They have XPlosion, but it's pretty much their Sunday Night Heat and it isn't carried nationally. It's on a few southern channels and probably overseas. That's all I know of. They don't post it online as far as I know.

The idea of Reaction was a good start for a 2nd show, something different than the every day one hour wrestling program which nobody ever watches. TNA is so corny right now, somebody pointed to it being like a B movie, which is accurate and it does make it enjoyable more than it used to be, on some level. With that in mind TNA should try to pull off a late night comedy show after Impact! on a stage with an audience where people are interviewed sometimes they could get Spike celebs etc... could be funny, and good way to progress storylines in an unconventional way.

Funny story.

Another forum I post on had the name Impact Wrestling and a few months ago the owner passed along to the staff an e-mail he had gotten from TNA's lawyers after initially refusing to sell the name to them.

Sadly, I don't have a copy anymore but the gist was that they had seen that we were blatantly advertising streams for their PPV's and if we didn't stop that and handing out links to other pirated TNA materials they were going to come after us. (Not complaining about that. Pretty reasonable request actually.)

Anyway, TNA must have upped their offer because we changed the name, but they were really hot to get their hands on the name of the domain.

But to answer your gift card dilemma, Foley's first 2 books are great while Jericho's 1st book is as good if not marginally better. Jericho's 2nd book has a lot of Fozzy stuff which I didnt care about and Foley's other 2 books are not as interesting since those are pretty much like a diary and less background stories.

Inno's post up there reminded me that the NOAH shows over here are this weekend for any interested Brits. KENTA, Morishima, Sugiura, Go Shiozaki, Ishimori, Ricky Marvin and the rest as well as Claudio and Hero, Bobby Fish and Dave Moralez/Mastiff, Saint, Johnny does a moonsault and a dive in the first 90 seconds Storm and a few other Brits relative to each show. Broxbourne Friday, Civic Hall in town (Wolverhampton) on Saturday. Anybody wanting to go to the Saturday show is not welcome to crash at mine. Let's hope all their gear gets through customs this time.

I love the quality of these shirts. I got the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania shirts in December.

The Starrcade One is just asking to be bought. I think that I'll probably wait until the price drops a little bit. 30 bucks seems like a pretty high price for a t-shirt. WWE should try to get a t-shirt deal with Target. They sell similar t-shirts like that and are way more "cooler" than K-Mart.

I don't get why WrestleMania VII is getting its own shirt the ppv was nothing special. Love the War Games green one though and the WrestleMania X.

Rey Misterio, Sr. (Miguel Lopez, uncle of WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio) is scheduled to introduce a new Rey Misterio, Jr. at a CMLL live event on Friday, May 27 in Tijuana, Mexico. Misterio, Sr. has trained the young upstart and is said to have a lot potential. Rey Mysterio, the original Rey Misterio, Jr., has given the wrestler his blessing.

Often times in Mexico, a famous wrestler will allow a junior to assume his persona in exchange for a percentage of their earnings.
