Regarding the CM Punk and Daniel Bryan vs. The Wyatt Family feud that was set up on RAW last night, it's described as not a burial of Bryan or Punk but Bryan is indeed out of the WWE Title picture, at least for now. The feud is being done to elevate Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family.

A four-on-four match is being planned for Survivor Series with The Wyatt Family and one other Superstar vs. Punk, Bryan and two other Superstars.

I'm going to say that the two superstars that will be on Punk and Bryan's team will be either The Miz, Christian or Mark Henry. It'll be two of those three.

As for the other superstar on The Wyatts' team. I'll say it'll be either Ryback, Kane or a total shot in the dark here but, Barrett.

The way Miz was squashed last night, it doesn't look like they've got plans to put him in a major story like that. Though more random things have happened. As for the Wyatt's team, I'd say Kane seems like the logical choice after last night.

Hasn't even been a match announced and I'm already looking forward to this PPV way more than I have any of the last three.

Dave Meltzer noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Eric Bischoff will be paid to sit at home for the remainder of his TNA contract, which expires early 2014. Meltzer also mentioned Bischoff is out of power and "gone."

"He wasn't at the PPV, wasn't at the last TV, he won't be around. A lot of people are really happy on that one, Eric was not very well liked there. Eric got exposed... Eric was very lucky that he had some very smart people propping him up in the WCW days and those people aren't there now, and he got exposed on this run real bad."

Who leaves all those Kendo Sticks under the ring? Like, tables, ladders, and chairs I guess I can see the "logic" of them being put there for "storage" (even though realistically they are in giant arenas and certainly don't need to use the area under the ring to store extra materials). But Kendo Sticks? Who is the madman who keeps leaving them under the ring? Why does he even bring them?

I want to see a storyline about this one day.

Like have someone debut as a member of the ring crew who is also some martial arts master... who finally snaps because people keep taking and breaking his kendo sticks that he thought stored safely out of the way.

The latest report is that Daniel Bryan applying the Yes Lock to Shawn Michaels on Raw was the company's way of ending the Michaels vs. Bryan storyline. At this time, Michaels will be off WWE TV until he is needed again. There had been several rumors (especially after his involvement in the Hell in a Cell match) that Michaels could come out of retirement to work another match, but at this time, there is no talk of Michaels returning to the ring.

I just have to get this off my chest here. Let's see if this makes sense here. So the crowd goes nuts for a guy, like D. Bry, we give him 2 Dusty Finishes and 2 screwjobs in a row. Man, this is fucked up even by their standards and they can't even bury him right. Even when they were burying Jericho and Benoit, they gave them the IC/US titles and were subtle about it. I know some people say "Oh he might get the title at Mania" but you guys don't know until it happens and why the hell should I wait that long?

I know some people shit on the PG concept here, but not only does it create lame gimmicks, it kills creativity. I don't know how they got through with it during Hulkamania. Maybe it was the marketing with MTV or wrestling being in the closet as a sport, but it took off as family friendly.

For example, at NoC, I'd have Bree Bella give a low blow to D. Bry, resulting in a DQ, following it up with a RKO. Bree reveals that Randy bullying her was all a ruse and they were sleeping together and even were having a baby, and would say they lied about it a couple of weeks later. It affects him emotionally until his teacher HBK comes over and gives a motivational speech to get him going. D. Bry finally wins the title at Battleground. In the weeks leading to NoC, D. Bry found a list of names in Bree's bag, and wonders what they are. Later, he finds out that the list was the names of wrestlers she slept with. D. Bry defends his title against them them one by one, figuring one of them worked with Bree to create the list. After WrestleMania, he finds out that Randy made the list with Bree to make his life hell. D. Bry challenges him to a Best of 5 series for the title.

With the "Client List" storyline, you could also put it in the mid card with Wade Barret and Layla, with Bray Wyatt creating the list and put the IC/US belt on Wade.

At next years Royal Rumble, I really really wanna see some mid-card guys from the last decade as surprise entrants. Don't wanna see the usual Jimmy Snukas, Jim Duggans and Roddy Pipers... didn't care about any of their other surprise entrants.

Wanna see people like Carlito, Shelton Benjamin, JOHN MORRISON, Lance Storm, Rene Dupree, The Hurricane etc.

Or would love if they could bring in some random WCW guy who fans might still remember and hopefully will recognize through the WCW/Nitro DVD's. Dunno why, would love to see Norman Smiley. Couldn't really imagine anyone live at the event giving a shit though.

For some reason, just wanna see this spot where Rene Dupree comes out, maybe eliminates a minor guy and celebrates with the French Tickler, then have Norman Smiley come out and have them French Tickler/Big Wiggle or whatever to debate which is better. Then have both get eliminated at the same time by a powerhouse like Ryback so it'll be all "two eliminations at once omg!".

Or y'know, they could arrange some deal with TNA similar to last years Ric Flair/Christian thing where KURT FUCKIN' ANGLE can come out, suplex the holy fuck out of everyone, maybe eliminate one or two reasonably big names before being eliminated himself.

According to the Observer, TNA's new owner is very likely to be similar to Panda in the sense that they have no real connections with wrestling. Also very unlikely Viacom and/or Spike TV end up as the potential new owners.

What I can say at this point is that there is a potential buyer that has been looking at the company. Reps for the potential new ownership group have been at the offices. Talk of a potential sale has been going on for months, but has reached a serious enough point where things are at a significant stage. It is not entirely clear who will end up in power and run the company if and when the deal being negotiated goes through, and what percentage of the company, or if the entire company, is what is being negotiated. One source with significant knowledge of what is going down said the new group is unlikely to get involved without owning a controlling interest. Also, regarding speculation in various media of names involved, all of the speculation is way off, that much I know. It doesn't appear Viacom has any interest in buying the company (even though TNA gets far better ratings than Bellator, it's not as valuable because it can't get the corporate sponsors or ad revenue) and the parties involved come from outside the pro wrestling industry. The people who have at least been negotiating the most seriously are not from Viacom. The people involved have been successful in a number of other businesses. Just my gut says they are buying it more as a television property with the idea that future rights fees as those number escalate for sports will make it valuable.

The fact sale negotiations are as far along as they are and Hulk Hogan wasn't signed seems to indicate the new ownership group didn't feel he was a priority in the deal, or else TNA would have been aggressive in locking him up.

You know what I miss in the WWE: interaction with the fans during the match. Heels used to tell the fans to shut up or stall like Larry Zbyskzo. Faces would try and get the crowd going more. You'd think that with the WWE wanting everything to be interactive that they'd let their wrestlers do that kid of shit more.

Are you talking about recent months? D. Bry would interact with the fans (anger management graduation comes to mind) and Punk will tell fans booing him to shut up.

So I bought The Phenom Edition of WWE 2K14 today from some guy on Ebay for £90. :-\

It was the only way I was going to get it as I was so desperate for it. I went to my local GAME yesterday and asked if they had any copies that hadn't been collected yet, and I was told that they had three left, but I would have to come back tomorrow as the guys who pre-ordered them, still had until the end of the day to come in and collect them. If they hadn't collected them by then, then they would be available for anyone to buy.

So today, I went back and asked again and I was told that they were all collected yesterday. So my last hope of getting my hands on it was Ebay. I saw that some guy was selling an unopened copy and the bidding was at £70 and it had five days left to go. I knew that the bidding would go higher over those five days than the other listing I saw which was also unopened and was a "Buy It Now" and it was at £87 plus P&P at £3, so I decided to go for that one. I don't even get the free T-Shirt with it that I would have got from GAME.

Not long after I bought it, I noticed that the same guy had listed another one, so I guess he had bought a lot of them and is making a bit of a profit selling them over the recommended retail price of £60. Either that or he's selling bootleg copies from Hong Kong or something.

I saw a lot of them being sold from Hong Kong. I really hope mine isn't from Hong Kong.

WWE(R) Studios and Film Roman Announce "CAMP WWE" Irreverent Animated Web Series

STAMFORD, Conn. and BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - November 4, 2013 – WWE Studios (NYSE:WWE) and Film Roman announced today that they have entered into a co-financing and co-production agreement to produce up to thirteen, three-minute webisodes of a new animated series entitled CAMP WWE. Mike Benson of ENTOURAGE and THE BERNIE MAC SHOW will script the series.

From WWE STUDIOS and FILM ROMAN, the animation studio behind THE SIMPSONS and KING OF THE HILL, comes an irreverent new, adult comedy series about what the biggest, most outrageous WWE Superstars® were like as kids. CAMP WWE follows these unruly tykes as they body slam their way through their formative years. Proving to be a nightmare for teachers and other kids, their exhausted parents pack-up their future WWE Superstars with their masks, chains, kneepads and security blankets and send them off to Camp WWE, to be transformed into model citizens by the most terrifying counselor who ever lived, Mr. McMahon.

"Film Roman has been involved with some of the most well-known and humorous animated series," said Michael Luisi, President WWE Studios. "They are the perfect partners for WWE Studios to capture our Superstars in a truly unique and fun way."

"CAMP WWE is a new and exciting project with a great creative team for Film Roman to be working on with WWE Studios and we are very bullish on its prospects for success. With a combination of their unique personalities, distinctive characteristics and huge built-in loyal fan base, WWE Superstars make for ideal animation subjects in CAMP WWE," said Dana Booton, General Manager for Film Roman. "We are very pleased to be working with WWE Studios and hope that it will begin a mutually beneficial, long-term business relationship."

Bradley Buchanan negotiated the deal on behalf of WWE Studios. Marc Barson and Yvette Thomassian negotiated the deal on behalf of Film Roman.

Here's something that WCW, actually, any other wrestling company that is not WWE don't get. Production.

The show opening, after Vince's promo, doesn't show Sting! Wasn't he supposed to the face of the company? Sure, you get to see a lot of wrestlers, but its only a few of them that actually seem 'appealing' to the average layman. You see several hoss shots, but nothing screams 'superstar'. And who do you see just before / after the WCW logo? Chavo Guerrero? Uh, who?

TNA owned them for barely a year but did anyone noteowrthy get promoted from there and still is on the main roster?

Rumors out of WWE creative indicate that they've been told to come up with ideas on a way to "fast track" Roman Reigns to the top of the promotion as a babyface. It is believed that he will be positioned for a massive push throughout 2014 and that those in power backstage believe he has the potential to become one of the company's next "face of the franchise" type wrestlers. They like his size and look, and some comparisons have been made between he and his distant cousin, the Rock. The company is also said to see bright futures for Reign's Shield stablemates, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, but they are behind Reigns when it comes to getting a push. This also doesn't necessarily mean the Shield will be completely broken up, as it is believed that Ambrose and Rollins could remain together as a duo or have a third member join them, likely someone called up from NXT.

Newzy NEWZ, but I can easily see this going down, and working.

Some recent stuff from the dirtsheets:

Big Show is main eventing WWE's Survivor Series pay-per-view with Randy Orton because there's a renewed effort within WWE to put larger or bigger wrestlers in the spotlight. This is the reason for Show being pushed and why we've seen more of Luke Harper and The Great Khali lately.

There's a feeling that Daniel Bryan was on top for a few months and WWE's pay-per-view buyrates have been down during that period. The feeling among upper management is that Bryan isn't a larger than life wrestler and that's what fans want. They feel a guy like Bryan should be on the mid-card having great matches.
Supposedly also plays a role in recent talks about Triple H no longer wanting to hire smaller guys and only bigger guys to help beef up the big guy/monster ranks.

As noted earlier today, there were releases at WWE headquarters in Stamford on Friday with Pete Leone, Triple H's main assistant being let go, among others. F4Wonline.com adds that another key confidante of Triple H's was also let go.

Jane Geddes has been moved from being Head of Talent Relations to working in Triple H's Stamford office running things. There is also a new Head of Talent Relations but we don't know the name yet. There's said to be a lot more going on at WWE headquarters as well.

According to PWInsider.com, Triple H was furious at the end of Raw this week, and was said to have "blown a gasket" during the main event segment of the show.

It took place when the show went to commercial just after The Shield came out, and during the break HHH was seen by fans in attendance dropping the "F bomb" and arguing with someone on the headset at the announce table.

Reportedly, the segment was going long, so someone in the back, likely either Kevin Dunn or Vince McMahon, sent The Shield out so the show could cut to commercial break, and this upset Triple H because the trio came out before Big Show could be told that he was indeed going to get a WWE Title shot at Survivor Series. The entire main event segment is the reason why Raw went about 5 to 6 minutes long on Monday night.

...

Triple H was said to be furious when The Shield's music began to play as it cut the segment off too early, and as you can see in the video below, it left the talent in the ring not knowing what to do or how to proceed.
Looks like this might have been what caused the supposed "heat" on Triple H recently and not solely the ratings itself even though the Big Show/Authority stuff during the show did draw low ratings.

XL
11-08-2013, 05:02 PM
It might have drawn low ratings because we saw the exact same thing (guy not liked by HHH gets beat down by The Shield/Orton) for the last 3 months.

But, if it continues to draw badly, at least it'll disprove the we need "larger than life" guys theory.

I'd like to see a monster like Big Show getting beaten down actually be a big deal because it's rare.

It made sense to some extent with Bryan because he was the scrappy underdog who would keep coming back for more no matter what. But WWE has this issue now where all the heels are booked like all the other heels and all the faces are booked like all the other faces. I get the idea that faces need to garner sympathy once in a while but Show's a giant who can get the fans behind him because he's the guy who's gonna tear the heels in half if he gets his hands on him. Not because they feel bad at how he's getting destroyed.

Reading that made me think that we might see Big Show vs Kane sometime soon on Raw or SmackDown. (Most probably Raw though)

And if we do, I can't wait to see what Kane's wrestling attire will be. I don't think it'll be his usual due to his gimmick change. I just keep thinking it'll be the classic trunks, elbow pads, knee pads and boots.
