<font color=goldenrod>I fucking hate that they've turned Derrick Bateman heel, a serious heel at that. They want 100% of the focus to go to Titus and Hornswoggle.

Furthermore the stipulation that the winner can pick his Pro for next season is gonna mean precisely dick since Titus will obviously pick Swog again when he inevitably wins.</font>

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah, for this season - the winner gets a spot on next season with a Pro of their choice.

But honestly, the show has dragged on for SO long now that I think they might just trying to be stretching it out to finish off their international TV commitments. After that they might just quietly end NXT and ignore the Season 6 stipulation entirely.</font>

The arena that hosted WWE RAW last night wants to make it perfectly clear ... they do NOT have a rodent infestation -- they were just the innocent victim of a mouse prank.

Ernie Hahn -- GM of Valley View Casino Center -- tells TMZ, the mouse that made a cameo on last night's show was a white "feeder" mouse bought from a store ... NOT your average wild gray/brown variety.

Ernie claims the color theory proves it wasn't an in-house mouse -- and even if it were, it wouldn't survive long ... because according to Ernie, the arena employs a full-time pest service to keep critters under control.

Which one was "Pain" and which was "Destruction"? Or was "Pain and Destruction" a shared middle name of both men?? AND what happened when they added Crush? Did he adopt the tandem version of the middle name whilst part of Demolition, or,if "Pain" and "Destruction" were allocated to Axe and Smash individually, did he then get a new middle name not mentioned in the song...

Origin

The image became popular in late 2009 after someone on the /sp/ board of 4chan posted a screenshot of Pardon The Interruption where Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon talked about the Indianapolis Colts’ decision to rest Peyton Manning in a game against the Jets, which they ended up losing. Across the bottom of the screen, it said, “Why did the Colts give up?” The meme continued in a thread where a person asked “Why do you follow the teams you follow?” with a picture of just Tony Kornheiser’s face and the word “Why” from the bottom of the screen. The thread is archived here (http://4chanarchive.org/brchive/2763364/WHY/).
Usage & Spread

This meme is used often on the /sp/ board of 4chan any time a person asks “Why” about something, or anytime Tony Kornheiser is brought up. Other variations include Tony Kornheiser and the word “Why” in Obama red, white and blue form, as well as other images having someone’s face replaced with Tony Kornheiser’s and the word “Why” replacing anything that sounds like “Why” (for example, a picture of the front cover of Twilight having Tony Kornheiser’s face replacing the apple and “Why” replacing the “wi” in “Twilight”).

Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

– Kevin Nash reportedly tried returning to WWE TV without dying his hair black but officials insisted that he dye it black because they wanted him to look younger. Nash tried to get out of it but WWE wouldn’t budge. It’s said that Nash prefers his gray hair and when he was in TNA, people pushed for him to dye it but he wouldn’t.

This I can call bullshit on. The silver-hair thing was back years ago. But Nash himself said he decided to go dye it black way back at the Rumble. And he's kept it dark ever since, at indy appearances and whatnot

"I recently received an e-mail regarding your alliance with the WWE. The e-mail pointed out the "fat jokes" about Vickie Guerrero. Wrestling as I perceive it consists of name calling and threats culminating in violence to settle conflicts. How does this fit with your mission to `Show Tolerance and Respect?' Are you saying this behavior is alright for entertainment value? As an employee of a member organization listed on your website, your questionable judgment reflects poorly, not only on you, but on all the organizations listed there.

As an organization whose mission is to prevent violence and bullying, we must be careful who we partner with and what messages that partnership sends. As we look for funding, ways to market our mission, and new partnerships, we must remain aware of the cultural forces that impact those that we serve. Furthermore, we must be sensitive not to promote the very negative behaviors that we have spent our professional lives trying to prevent. I fail to see how an alliance with the WWE will do that. We must be aware that in our business, as in life, actions speak louder than words. The WWE may, in principal, be against bullying and the violence that so often accompanies it, however, the very nature of the business is not conducive to a culture of inclusion and peace that we here at the Council for Unity seek to create. Nash did not get a big reaction coming out on RAW, and the general feeling backstage is that WWE needed to do a better job explaining to the current generation of fans who he was. This was originally not a concern because of the much bigger reaction Nash got at the Royal Rumble.

Tip #1: Play his music...

Assuming that the average WWE doesn't watch TNA (and why the hell should they), they wouldn't have seen Nash since 2003. There's a lot of turn around in 8 years, so it makes sense.

Fun Fact: CM Punk originally wanted to name his finishing move "Go To Hell" (GTH), but the WWE thought it didn't fit with their PG Rating so they changed it to "Go To Sleep" (GTS).

But they weren't PG when he started using the move, which he took from KENTA, who also calls his the Go To Sleep.

Well I don't know about the whole PG side of the story, that part is probably someone playing Chinese Whispers or something, I was just going by what I originally read, but the rest is true.

I can't find the website I originally read, but someone else has posted the interview.

this nearly got them thrown off tv as it dealt with abuse which was a big no no in wrestling storylines during the kayfabe era

Shane P. Millroy is facing the possibility of his fourth domestic violence conviction after allegedly assaulting his estranged wife over WWE tickets.

The 30-year-old Washington C.H. man was arraigned in Fayette County Common Pleas Court this week and pleaded "not guilty" to the third-degree felony domestic violence count. He's currently being held in the Fayette County Jail on a $10,000 bond and his trial is set for Oct. 13.

Millroy was indicted for a felony because he has three prior domestic violence convictions in Washington C.H. Municipal Court.

His most recent indictment stems from an incident that occurred on Aug. 4 between Millroy and his estranged wife. That night, Millroy's wife called the Washington C.H. Police Department after she was allegedly assaulted by Millroy.

The victim told police that Millroy came to her home without permission through an unlocked front door as she was putting dinner away in the kitchen.

"The victim advised that he came into the kitchen and began acting frantic about tickets to a WWE event," reports said. Millroy and his wife then became involved in an argument, which escalated into an altercation.

Millroy allegedly shoved the woman's head into the refrigerator and wall, then shoved the kitchen table, which caused a chair to fall and hit a 2-year-old child in the back of the head. According to reports, he then began punching his wife in the face, knocking her to the ground.

He also kneed the victim in the chest several times and continued striking her in the face and head, police said. Once Millroy learned that police had been called, he began punching himself in the face, according to reports.

"The defendant was highly intoxicated when officers were at the residence," police said. "During the investigation, the defendant appeared to be the primary aggressor in this incident."

Millroy was taken to Fayette County Memorial Hospital to be treated for self-inflicted injuries to his nose, police said. He left the emergency room without being treated and was later located and arrested on a domestic violence warrant.

The victim was taken to the hospital by another family member.

From PWInsider:

A new documentary, "Pro Wrestler" has been released. A first film from director Kenny Johnson, the film focuses on the lives of a number of stars working the Northeast independent circuit. I had a chance to watch the film last night and was extremely impressed with it.

The official synopsis of the film: "Follow Kenny Johnson, during his directorial debut, as he embeds himself in the world of independent professional wrestling. Along the way he tells the stories of 5 unique performers at very different points in their careers and lives.

First, is Greg Excellent's journey from wrestling in his backyard to owning and promoting his own company Ground Breaking Wrestling. Second, shows the Real Adam Cole at home and bad guy he portrays in the ring. Third, is Ryan McBride working the main event in Maryland and coming to a crossroad in his professional wrestling life and his life outside the ring. And finally is JT Roberts and CORE juggling the responsibilities of marriage and children, while questioning how much longer they have left in the world of indy wrestling.

Yes, professional wrestling is fake and pre-determined. But its very real to the individuals that dedicate their time and sacrifice their bodies for the thrill of the spotlight."

It sucked when SM:TV Live ended and was replaced with Ministry of Mayhem.

SM:TV Live always had great WWF Wrestlers appearing on it and the wrestlers were always on the show from when they first appeared, right to the end of the show

Ministry of Mayhem rarely had any wrestlers appearing on it, and the first episode of it I watched, had Steve Austin on it and all he did was a three minute interview and participated in a pie flipping contest with a skateboard. :|

I haven't watched regularly for a while but something along those lines alongside being fucked out of the title by the heels. It made more than enough sense as far as pro wrestling and especially TNA storylines go basically.

Just bring Sin Cara back under Rey Mysterio's mask.

How long did Rey last this time from returning to getting injured again?

I'm thinking it was at from the week of the WWE draft to about 2 weeks before Summerslam.

From PWInsider:

The word at Raw is that Rey Mysterio has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and is scheduled to undergo surgery later this week. He's expected to be out at least six months, according to one source within the company.

Mysterio injured his knee during a house show match with Alberto Del Rio several weeks back. He was booked into an injury angle with Miz and then booked into a six man tag at Summerslam in order to mask the injury and allow him to work around it while waiting for MRI results. Mysterio lost to Del Rio in his hometown of San Diego on last week's Raw.

Just a reminder- Andre The Giant is no longer able to do any work in the ring.

And yet his knees are still more stable than Kevin Nash's and Rey's combined.

Fell asleep during Austin/Mankind last night so I missed the 2 big swerves.

Also realize this morning that I've committed serious gimmick infringement as giving running commentary to past wrestling shows is clearly Hasney's thing. So Hasney if you're reading this, I'M SORRY.

It's cool. But if you start doing WCW, so help me god I will destroy you.

Raw only finished about nine hours ago and people have bed to go to after it and then jobs and so on to go to when they wake up.

I'm sure it will be a gif, just not right away.

9 hours in a world where Punk "can do no wrong" and Cena is "everything that's wrong with wrestling" is an eternity. I've seen turnarounds faster than this!

Seriously, my request is sarcasm. Without the tags. More to do with the state of the forums than personal whim.

latest Legends of Wrestling roundtable ("In Through The Outdoors") is out now on the "illegal download" sites (or Classics on Demand if you have it) if you're a fan of them, it's like the 29th "episode", same panel (NASH, Mean Gene, JJ, Michael Hayes and JR) as the last one (nWo) After watching 2 or 3 over the space of a few years then going on a bender and watching them all over the last month or so, these are consistently the very best thing WWE put out, they're brilliant.

They're know as Los Aviadores. Hunico and Epico (Epico is actually Tito Colon)

Orlando "Tito" Colon is Primo and Carlito's cousin.

PS: Didn't know Hunico used to be known as "Incognito".
