Following the release of Kelly Kelly from its Divas roster, World Wrestling Entertainment has found a suitable replacement in child pageant contestant and reality TV star Honey Boo Boo.
“Although we wish Kelly Kelly all the best in her future endeavors, we think members of the WWE Universe will hardly notice she’s gone, thanks to the arrival of Honey Boo Boo,” reads a WWE press release issued today.
The star of a hugely popular TLC reality program about a pudgy pageant princess and her hillbilly family, Honey Boo Boo (real name Alana Thompson) is expected to debut on WWE programming soon with a match against Natalya.
Although she has received much less formal in-ring training than Kelly Kelly, Honey Boo Boo is widely believed to be a more proficient and entertaining professional wrestler than her predecessor.
“At the very least, Honey Boo Boo knows how to run the ropes,” said wrestling analyst Oliver Wadrick. “Kelly Kelly never quite figured that one out.”
Before hiring Honey Boo Boo, WWE reportedly considered replacing Kelly Kelly with a pair of silicone implants capped with a blond wig.

Annoying fan speaks only in wrestling lingo
http://www.kayfabenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/SmugFan-300x225.jpeg
Tyler McKinney annoying refers to his replica title belts as “straps.”
Tyler McKinney, a self-described “smark” and avid member of the so-called Internet Wrestling Community (IWC), has the supremely annoying habit of speaking in nothing but “insider” wrestling lingo.
Described by some acquaintances as “pretentious wrestling know-it-all,” McKinney refers to WWE as “The Fed,” says “hood” instead of “mask,” and often drops the term “no-selling” into everyday conversation.
One of McKinney’s recent posts in the Squared Circle forum on Reddit reads: “The Apter Mags used to maintain kayfabe when a babyface was over in The Fed, but when Vinne Mac started selling heel heat after the screwjob, the only way to get over was to work stiff on a jobber with a strong-style puroresu workrate.”
McKinney is reportedly extremely aggravating to sit beside at live wrestling shows, because he shouts out phrases like “hot tag,” “rest hold” and “blade job” whenever he sees such a “spot.”
Friends of McKinney say he might be less annoying if he had a girlfriend, but so far he has been unable to find what he refers to as a “ring rat.”

We would have gone with a pile driver, but his move was OK, too.
Former WWE star Shawn Daivari told TMZ that he performed an expert wrestling move and saved the day when a passenger went berserk on an airport-bound train out of Minneapolis on Thursday.
The perp reportedly threatened to kill everyone on the train and was yelling racial slurs, but Daivari wasn't having that. He says he used a rear naked choke hold -- classic move -- to subdue the would-be killer.
He told the site it was all he could think to do at the time. He and other passengers had pressed an emergency button to call for help, but nobody came.
"I wasn't going to wait any longer to see if a cop showed up," Daivari said.
Witnesses said Daivari squeezed the violent passenger's neck so hard he peed his pants. Then the wrestler threw the man out at the next stop.
Metro Transit Rail told TMZ that "Metro Transit police responded after being alerted by the train operator to a fight on board. The investigation is ongoing."
Daivari left WWE in 2007 for live TNA wrestling, according to ProWrestling.net. No matter what organization he's a part of, at least he's proven that pro wrestling is real, as some Twitter users pointed out.

That Daivari story reminds me of the time when some drunk guy tried to start a fight with my best friend. He went over to my friend, pushed him to the ground and went to kick him, but without even thinking about it, I ran towards the guy and went around him and put him into a full nelson.
I then threw him to the side, "Chris Master style" I guess, and he picked himself up and ran over to me and started shouting in my face and threatening to punch me.

However, the truth is, Michael Cole took to being a babyface before Lawler bit the dust, and was actually very friendly to JR during his visits to the announcing table pre-heart attack.

Whoa! WWE.com's Joey Styles reported Shawn Davari's story
http://www.wwe.com/f/wysiwyg/image/2012/10/20121002_daivari_LIGHT_HOMEPAGE.jpg
http://www.wwe.com/inside/overtheropes/shawn-daivari-interview-26056629
WWE.com: Please describe what happened on the train.
DAIVARI: I was just on the train and I was heading to the airport. I’m from Minneapolis, so I was just visiting family. I got on the train and there was this guy saying racial and anti-Semitic stuff really loud, specifically at a few passengers, and you could tell they were really uncomfortable. One guy had actually pushed the emergency call button on the train. And this guy kept going on and on, and nobody was showing up to help.
There was one older guy sitting in a chair and he told the guy, "Hey, sit down, you’re making the train ride really uncomfortable for everybody." At that point, the guy just got right in front of the older guy and physically threatened him, even threatened to kill him. That’s when everybody started running for the emergency call buttons. They were all hitting the buttons, and we went another stop after that, which was another two minutes. When the doors opened, nobody got on the train, so we knew there were no cops waiting to get on and help.
I didn’t know if this guy had a knife in his pocket or a gun in his backpack, so I just went up to him, turned him around, grabbed him in a rear naked choke/sleeper hold and held until I felt his body go limp. I dropped him, locked on a body scissors and held him down until the next stop, which was about 45 seconds down the road. Then I just grabbed him by the seat of his pants and his collar and I threw him off the train. And mind you, from when this started, we probably went half the length of the trip, which was about 20 minutes. It was one thing when he was saying all that racial stuff, but when he started threatening passengers, I didn’t know if it was just a big guy talking tough like he’s at a bar or if he’s got a weapon. By the time I got to the airport, there were still no cops at the train station.
WWE.com: How big was the guy you subdued?
DAIVARI: He was about 6-foot-1, 280. But a fat 280, not a solid 280. I’m 5-foot-10 and I weigh about 215 pounds.
WWE.com: Do you have any MMA training?
DAIVARI: No. I learned the hold from watching and working with other wrestlers who did have that background. I actually had my first professional wrestling match when I was 15 years old, so my only [outside the ring experience] was high-school wrestling. I wrestled my freshman year in high school [135 pounds], but by my sophomore year I was having professional matches. So that ended my amateur career.
I’ve worked with a ton of guys that have a ju-jitsu background, and they’ve showed me some stuff. Actually, what’s kind of funny is I learned a couple of holds from WWE referees Chad Patton and Jack Doan. They do legit MMA training at home and they actually showed me a couple of holds. I think they were the ones who taught me the triangle choke and the rear naked choke/sleeper hold.
WWE.com: Would you ever consider pursuing MMA as a full-time career?
DAIVARI: No way, I’m not an MMA fighter. Wrestling is the only thing I know how to do well and it’s pretty much the only thing I’ve ever done my whole life. I’ve had two jobs in my life. I’ve been a student and I’ve been a wrestler; those are the only two things I’m qualified to do. And I like wrestling, it’s the one thing I feel like I’m very good at and it comes natural to me. To be a fighter, I think I’d actually have to train and work. Being a pro wrestler isn’t work to me, it’s my life.
WWE.com: Where have you been wrestling since leaving WWE?
DAIVARI: Since I left WWE, I’ve wrestled in Japan, Mexico, France, Ireland and England. I’m going back to Mexico at the end of the month; I just got back from Aruba working on a tour for Kevin Nash, I’m going to Dubai and the United Arab Emirates in November, and I’m going to Chile in December. I’ve been keeping a very busy schedule.
WWE.com: What do you get from that kind of worldly experience?
DAIVARI: When I got to WWE, I was maybe in my fifth year of wrestling. Mind you, that was five years of United States independent wrestling, which isn’t that much qualification for WWE. By the time guys like Chris Jericho, William Regal, Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero got to WWE, it was their 12th, 13th, 14th year wrestling, and they had already learned the American style, Mexican styles, European style, Japanese style. I feel like that’s where I am now. I just turned 28 this year, and it’s kind of weird; I tell people I’m younger than WrestleMania. I could potentially be a guy who wrestles at WrestleMania 40 and still be in his 30s.
WWE.com: Is there anybody you still talk to at WWE?
DAIVARI: I still talk to CM Punk and some of the other guys who are still with WWE. A lot of people from my time in WWE have come and gone, though. Daniel Bryan’s a guy who I’ve known for years and wrestled before, but never in WWE.
WWE.com: Is there anybody in WWE you would like to wrestle?
DAIVARI:You have no idea what a huge Dolph Ziggler fan I am. When I first got signed by WWE, he was learning his first bits of wrestling ever; he had never even set foot in a wrestling ring. To see what he is today is probably one of the most impressive transitions I’ve ever seen, from first day on the job to full-blown future World Champion. He’s someone that blows me away. Obviously, other guys — my buddies like Punk — we’ve wrestled before, but it was in front of 100 people at a bar in Chicago, not a sold-out pay-per-view for his WWE Championship.
There are so many people I’ve wrestled in WWE that I still wrestle now on international shows, and that’s how I stay in touch with people I met at WWE. They still call me up to wrestle them, even though I haven’t been on WWE TV since 2008.
WWE.com: Do you have a message for the WWE Universe?
DAIVARI: Thank you. It’s kind of funny. Apparently, they must have liked what I did on TV because I’m still getting calls every week from promoters asking me to wrestle, and that’s because fans who watched me in WWE will still come to see me. There are lots of other guys who have passed through WWE before and after me, but my phone still rings constantly, and that’s because WWE fans liked my wrestling.
WWE.com: So, one last question: Of all the holds you could have used to subdue the hostile passenger on the train, why did you decide to use a rear naked choke?
DAIVARI: Well, they were using the Figure-Four in car one, and I didn’t want to steal their finisher (laughs).

From 411mania, PWInsider and LOLWRESTLEZONE
Vince McMahon was in scramble mode backstage when Ryback couldn't perform the finisher Monday night against Tensai. McMahon was instructing the production team to make Ryback look as dominant as possible in replays
Assuming this is true, probably means Ryback really couldn't pick up Tensai again rather than Tensai deliberately sandbagging him twice.

Can't believe people are still discussing this. Ryback messing up his move with Tensai was no one's fault. Same as when The Miz failed to catch R-Truth. Everyone can bring up different points, methods, and point out errors made by either man, but at the end of the day, it's just "one of those things" that happend.

Sheamus is boring. He does nothing for me.
What's not to like about Sheamus O'Shaunessy Lipshitz, fella?
What's not to like about Sheamus O'Shaunessy Lipshitz, fella?
I am not of a fan of Sheamus' current role. One might argue that his personality has been watered down in order to make him more kid friendly.
If that is the case, then why does he go around stealing Alberto Del Rio's car and violating it? Why does he "bully" Big Show and call him an overweight foul smelling person? His remarks are not even intelligent or thought provoking. He is bland and appeals to the (target) younger demographic. And I am completely fine with that. Not that he is setting a "good" example.
I would also like to add that I enjoy Sheamus' in-ring capabilities.

Also, on the subject of WWEShop and T-Shirts, I have a question. I know that US sizes are different from UK sizes, so when I buy T-shirts, I'm a Medium. So which size would I be in US sizes?
I usually find that US shirts are a little bit smaller. Which is quite astonishing in principle ("Americans are fat" jibe) but theirs do go up to like 19XL
Yeah, usually go large US wise and medium US. Not sure if I should go XL if Inget another one though as they've all been fine, but my Best in the World shirt shrank in the wash.

Did you guys see the feature on WWE.com about "Paul Heyman Guys?" (WWE.com/classics/paul-heyman-guys/) Paul made a list of ten guys that are "his" for one reason or another. Really interesting read, and I actually learned some new things.
This read makes me hope that it's not an impossibility that CM Punk and Paul Heyman could bring out Joey Styles to do surprise commentary during the Punk/Cena Hell in a Cell. The word making the rounds is that the video, which wasn't posted by WWE or THQ, was released too early while still being embargoed by the game media. It's not uncommon for media in that genre to hold onto material presented to them until a set date and time. The video will be released at some point again, but we no idea when.

Joey Styles piece that was cut from the recent "Heyman guys" article on WWE.com, decent read
WHY I'M THE PROUDEST "PAUL HEYMAN GUY" OF ALL
These comments were originally supposed to be part of the 10 "Paul Heyman Guys" feature on WWE.com http://www.wwe.com/classics/paul-heyman-guys/ but Paul's interview was so lengthy that we just decided to transcribe the interview and give him the byline.
Regardless, I had put so much thought into why I was a "Paul Heyman Guy" and my professional relationship with Paul that I didn't want my words go to waste.
A few months before graduating from Hofstra University, I sent my audition tape calling professional wrestling on SportsChannel America (now NBC Sports) to WWE (which was a mile from my house), WCW and Paul Heyman who I had met Paul while I was interning at Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Paul was performing as Manager, Paul E. Dangerously in WCW.
As the days to my graduation ticked down, I aggressively followed up with phone calls to WWE and WCW in an attempt to get one opportunity, a single audition, a leap at the brass ring to prove that I was good enough to be an asset to their companies as a professional wrestling announcer. To be blunt, WWE and WCW blew me off.
Upon graduation, I had been fortunate enough to be recruited for a division of News Corporation's sales training program. (I am still eternally grateful to Chairman and CEO and now New York Post Publisher, Paul Carlucci for giving a kid from the Bronx a chance to compete against recruits from blue chip schools around the country).
With what seemed to be a bright future in sales ahead of me, I was by no means ready to abandon my dream of professional wrestling play-by-play. I made a call to Paul Heyman. At the time I Paul had left WCW and was managing the likes of "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka and "Magnificent" Don Muraco in a South Philadelphia wrestling promotion called ECW (Eastern Championship Wrestling). Paul returned my call the same day and told me to come down to the next ECW event in Philly to audition.
Put simply, Paul Heyman was the only one in professional wrestling to have seen enough potential in me to even give me an audition. He didn't even bother asking permission of his boss, ECW Owner Tod Gordon (who ended up asking me who the hell I was and what I was doing in his locker room while catching in my underwear changing into my suit).
Regardless of that humiliating incident that was the reason I switched from "tightie whities" to boxer briefs, three months later, when Paul became the Creative Director and Executive Producer (we used the term Booker back then because there was an actual book of upcoming wrestling cards that was constantly updated), the first thing he did was make me “The Voice of ECW”.
That's right, Paul started his dream career as a professional wrestling Booker with the entire industry watching him and most people routing for him to fail by letting an unknown 21 year old announcer host his weekly television show.
Paul was my color commentator and spent countless hours late into the night teaching me how to be the best professional wrestling announcer I could possibly be the same way Jim Ross had taught him in WCW. In what little spare time I had, I studied so many tapes of Jim Ross and Vince McMahon announcing that I broke a VCR by constantly pressing rewind and play.
A couple of years into burning the candle at both ends by juggling my sales and professional wrestling announcing careers, Paul did what he still does best, he played to my strengths. Knowing that I was no longer a sales assistant but a successful ad salesman, Paul offered me an unheard of fifty percent commission for any additional sources of revenue that I brought into the fledgling ECW.
Motivated by what I saw as the greatest financial opportunity of my young life, I pushed myself harder than I ever thought I could. Working seven days a week juggling multiple careers, I secured some TV advertisers, created and managed ECW’s pay-per-minute 900 telephone news service (this was before the internet exploded) and then created and managed ECW’s website, including ad sales and promotion of the website in magazines like Pro Wrestling Illustrated (never did I imagine that I would one day be making a career working in WWE Digital and Social Media).
The revenues for the telephone news service and then the website earned so much revenue for ECW that even after my commission, the money I generated for ECW was more than ECW was paying me to announce. Paul knew how much money I was making and never tried to lower my commission rate because he wanted me motivated to bring in more revenue.
When ECW aired on national cable TV in 2000, the revenues for both the 900 number and website doubled! I earned more money that year than in any year since then. My wife and I continued to live our modest lifestyle and conservatively invested the additional income.
The opportunities Paul Heyman gave me almost 20 years ago changed my life in many ways. Not only did he allow me to change my family's financial future but also develop a reputation in professional wrestling that allowed me to eventually become a WWE announcer and then transition into WWE Digital and Social Media which brings the story of my career up to date.
Simply put, I am the proudest “Paul Heyman Guy” of them all. Period.
In closing, I'd like to go on record stating that I whole heartedly believe that Paul is deserving of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and I hope it happens the night before WrestleMania 29 in the NY/NJ area in front of his family and friends. It would be the right place and the right time and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

From 411mania and Rajah.com
* In today's "news of the obvious," Tensai is officially out of the main event. Management was originally high on him and planning a main event push, but the plans have been wiped out and he will remain in the midcard for the time being. The company is firmly behind Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow and Ryback's pushes though.
* WWE officials had been negotiating with Chris Jericho on a new contract in recent weeks, but talks fell through. WWE opted to cease talks with the wrestler/musician in recent days.
It is believed that the proposed deal fell through due to control over when he worked as well as his activities outside of WWE. Officials were seeking an arrangement where the company would be his top priority and they would have some control over his outside endeavors. Jericho, on the other hand, wanted complete control of all of his activities.
Jericho was open to returning as early as this month had WWE agreed to his terms. He was looking to work forty to fifty dates per year, including full-time for cycles and even assisting the developmental program. However, he would determine the periods when he worked and would be strictly unavailable during tours, which WWE was not in favor of.

This is essentially what I am for, as well. I know that Styles is apparently happy with his new job -- but a few matches a week is surely doable, right? Also, if JBL is doing commentary, there could be legitimate tension there, which might translate really nicely or very terribly.
Styles as the "play-by-play" man to rival the opinions of Michael Cole and Jim Ross would be an interesting development -- given that Cole has turned into more of a babyface announcer, and JR is JR.
Styles, JR & Mick Foley would be my Hell in a Cell commentary team, by the way. Styles just for Punk's match, giving Michael Cole the hike, just to build sympathy towards Cole, and because (for the first time in like forever) Cole isn't the central announcer attached to everything. Styles would be pro-Punk while JR & Foley would be playing the unbiased card.

OF COURSE it ended in a BATISTA BOMB.
BOMBBOMBBOMBBBB

let us all just take a moment to once again bask in the glory of the single greatest oversell in wrestling history, the greatest Batista moment in history and potential top 2 all time wrestling moment alongside Hogan/Andre

No, he won via ground and pound, and it was pretty awful.

Randy Orton and Batista doing an invasion thing in TNA is kind of a secret "wet-dream" angle I hold in my imagination, that I've now decided to put out there. I started thinking about it when Orton got his second wellness suspension. The idea of Orton & Bautista kicking ass in TNA together is pretty appealing to me.

Teasing the team name of "Hell No" might be changed to "Heck No" or even "Heck Yes" because its not very PG-friendly.
Also, Hell in a Cell PPV will be changed to Heck in a Cell.
I used to work for Kay Bee Toys once upon a when, and I remember all the WWF figs used to have edited shirts, like Jericho's "would you please SHUT THE HCKL UP!", SCSA's "HVJL YEAH" or 'Taker's "Destruction Inc (I guess since "Deadman" wasn't PG enough for action figures.) Also, Billy Gunn's attire would only ever have lips on it, never any sign of "Mr Ass" or that attempted "Billy Bad Ass" wordplay before that.
But having "blood" on Gangrel or "removable mask" Kane (basically, an Undertaker head with a burned face) was A-OK!

We all know the blacks are lazy
In 2000, he filed a lawsuit against WCW, alleging racial discrimination. He stated that his Caucasian opponents were told to make him look bad and that he was told that he would never hold a championship belt. He also stated that he was paid less than many of the company's Caucasian wrestlers. [22] The suit also stated that African American wrestlers were made to look "loud, obnoxious, pompous and shiftless".

Well, first he was Robbie Walker when he first came to WCW in 1992 and was supposed to be Ron Simmons' protege, but when it was time for the Clash of the Champions that November, Walker was gone and was replaced by the debuting 2 Cold Scorpio (better choice for a partner, I believe). A year later, he came back under the name Bobby Walker and was jobbed out a lot.
I think the "Hard Work" nickname came in 1996 is when he really tried to move up on the roster and had Teddy Long as his manager. Hell, he was chosen to team with The Barbarian for a Lethal Lottery match at Slamboree that May, but was injured by Lex Luger, so he was replaced by the returning Diamond Dallas Page, who eventually won Battlebowl at Slamboree. Walker was then used in either dark matches or the undercard.

Accidentally had "wrestle talk" on in the background and it said some guy that was wrestling in Wolverhampton and was some kind of model, so I assumed CSL was going to be on the show.
Then it said he was also a rapper and thought that it most defo not.

..... I've heard so much about "Are you serious?" being awesome and funny, but this really wasn't either of those things..... Don't get me wrong I'm not in any way, shape or form complaining about WWE making fun of the IWC in fact I think that was about the only semi-funny think in this. As a whole this show seems really fucking dumb. :-\

I remember the good old days when you just needed to pay for a sky sports package and you got every PPV for free.
Then they lost some of them to channel 4, and THEN they got them back and put those PPVs on sky box office, and if I believe correctly most of them are now proper PAY per view?
I haven't bought one in years, as already stated, the magic of the internet will see you right.

I think that show's awesome. I agree with it's opinion of WCW and smart marks, so what's not to love.
According to DDT Digest writers, Bobby Walker was "Hard Jobbing" and frequently paired with Jim Powers 1996 through 1998 before being released in the Year 2000 purge of wrestlers who no longer had screen time thanks to the demise of WCW Saturday Night.
Walker was "Hard Working" because he was a power line worker. His rope-walk clothesline finisher "Quittin' Time" was an homage to his non-wrestling profession. I can only suppose he continued servicing power lines after his WCW departure.
