I'm a bit surprised that the Daily Mail, of all the newspapers here in the UK, have the story on their website.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2011103/Families-watch-Justin-Honeycutt-plunges-death-Orlando-ride.html
A man has died after falling from a fairground ride billed as a 'carousel on steroids'.
Families watched in horror as Justin Honeycutt fell from about 90 foot up as he worked on the Starflyer ride at the Magical Midway Thrill Park in Orlando.
The 30-year-old wrestler who was working at the park was found by rescue workers unconscious suspended in the air by a safety harness. He had fallen about six feet.
A witness said she saw the man climbing the ride and her children said the ride started moving when a counterweight apparently hit him.
'I was there to see the blood,' she told local station News 4. 'The machine came down on him, and they went to go tell someone and no one believed them until finally when I started screaming, “Blood, blood”.'
Firefighters said Mr Honeycutt was an employee at magical Midway and was working on the ride while it was closed for repairs at about 2pm on Saturday.
Orange County fire chief Mark Smothers said: 'We are not sure why he fell, but he did fall. 'He received life-threatening injuries from which he did expire. 'It is under investigation. We will turn it over and the sheriff's office will treat it as a death investigation.'
The park re-opened yesterday but the Starflyer ride remains closed while it is inspected by investigators.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services are looking into the incident.
Mr Honeycutt fights in Florida using the wrestler name 'Ryze'.
The ride has been described at the highest and fastest carousel ride in the U.S. It swings thrillseekers at 235 feet off the ground at speed of up to 54mph. Guide book Beyond Disney said: 'Once you've overcome the vision of having your body flung onto I-Drive, you will have to resist the urge of having your stomach follow suit.
'Although the ride may induce motion sickness and mild terror, the view from the top of the Starflyer is one of the best in Orlando.'

From PWInsider:
PWInsider.com was sent the following today from a reader, who we are keeping anonymous for obvious reasons, that worked at last week's Smackdown taping in Arizona for the episode that will air this Friday. It provides insight into how WWE runs their production and also insight into segments that will air this week, including spoilers:
I worked the production crew on the Smackdown taping last week and wanted to provide some insights:
First, Its not difficult to see why WWE wants to branch out and provide live event production for outside entities. Their crew is incredibly efficient, and the operation is unbelievable. The WWE crew is also very courteous and knowledgeable. The stage manager, a man named Jet steers the ship, and he does a hell of a job.
A man named Paul Jay (although it may have been Jay Paul, it was a long day) had his last day on the job. I was told that he is an extremely well respected audio engineer/producer. The entire crew, wrestlers included, serenaded him while "so long, farewell..." played on the PA. He was presented with a cake, which Triple H gently smashed in his face.
There were several talents that I did not recognize from either NXT, TE, or the FCW roster page that got significant time in the ring during the early rehearsal, so I am guessing they were locals who were getting private tryouts with the company. They all worked matches, which Nunzio refereed. Some of them looked pretty good. There was a guy with a blond mohawk with a decent look. There was also a tag team that called themselves the "Freak Squad". Their look was less than impressive.
Derek Niekirk's dark match with Johnny Curtis was not especially smooth. He was in great shape, though.
The segment with the MITB participants received a full and very thorough rehearsal. Those who got mic time read directly from scripts. Cody actually read his script completely in character, which made for humorous moments when he flubbed a line or misread something. You can tell that Daniel Bryan is uncomfortable with the whole scripted promo thing. The promos were either rewritten, or the wrestlers went off script, as they were different for the show.
Triple H was very involved in every aspect of this segment. An interesting note from this was that Sheamus' run in came with music in the rehearsal, and if memory serves, they did not use the music in the actual show. I find that music accompanying the run in is typically non-sensical, so it was good to see that they eliminated that.
Also of note here, was that Triple H, in slacks and dress shirt, worked heavily with Sheamus and Wade Barrett, particularly Sheamus on his chair beat down. He was very hands on. Josh Mathews rehearsed his lines by himself in the back. Michael Hayes was also around for this. He has gotten HUGE. This whole thing was very intriguing to me.
Dustin Rhodes was in full agent mode, working with the Divas and lower level talents for quite a while. He looks to be pretty healthy. AJ and Alicia Fox received a good bit of attention from him. Bill DeMott was also around a lot. He was in a suit, looking more like a creative/business end person than people like Regal and Goldust who were dressed to train. He did not get in the ring. I did overhear him talking about his book with people.
Sin Cara seemed to be getting along with people quite well, maybe the move to Smackdown was beneficial beyond the post production! He and Tyson Kidd rehearsed for a LONG time.
Off to the side of the ring, Vince had a very long conversation with Randy Orton and Christian during the rehearsal. The whole thing was very business-like, but friendly. Orton, Sheamus and Christian were friendly and seemed to hang together most of the day. On a related note, lower level and upper level talents were very separated. They rarely mingled, if ever. Jinder Mahal was completely by himself most of the time. In general the whole crew seemed tired as some of them had done 3 straight days of TV. Then, they all got to go on tour. Yikes. Whether you are a personal fan of some of these guys or not, you have to respect what they put themselves through.
All in all a fascinating experience.

Former wrestling superstar Scott Hall (http://www.tmz.com/person/scott-hall/) -- aka Razor Ramon -- checked himself in to a Florida jail today to begin his 10-day sentence stemming from a drunken arrest in 2010 ... TMZ has learned.
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2011/07/05/0705-scott-hall-ex.jpg
52-year-old Hall was ordered to serve ten days behind bars after he was found guilty of resisting arrest at a Florida bar back in May 2010. Hall had allegedly been drunkenly screaming at patrons.
Hall's rep tells TMZ the wrestler will be staying in the medical unit of Seminole County Jail because of his "bad health."
Hall has already been credited with time served ... and should be out of the slammer in eight days.

I had a weird dream last night. I can only remember some parts of it though.
I remember being in the crowd at Nitro and every single WCW Wrestler came out to the ring and all of them were members of the nWo. The ring was packed with the WCW Main Eventers, and ringside was packed with Mid-Carders and then the ramp was packed with WCW Jobbers. All of them wearing nWo T-Shirts.
I then shouted to Vince Russo, who was in the ring, next to Hogan, Nash and Bischoff, "This is shit!", to which a very angry strong looking man close to me turned around and asked "Did you just say this was shit!?" I then I acted clueless and said "What? No?".
Next thing I remember, I'm backstage, sitting down when Vince McMahon sits opposite me and says "Hey, nice T-Shirt, that's true" (I have a T-shirt, that has "2nd Place Is The First Loser" on it, and I was wearing that in my dream)
Vince then offered me a contract and told me that the quote on my T-Shirt would be my quote and that I would have to build a gimmick around it. Triple H then walked over and wished me luck and handed me a camera to take pictures. I asked him what he wanted me to take pictures of and he said "Chyna".
I then said no to the picture taking and I went to talk to Rey Mysterio but I can't remember anything after that.

The Garden loved Lesnar here.
Lesnar was over enormously during that run. I remember being at SummerSlam 2002 and the crowd was pretty much completely behind Lesnar. Rock was still face, so after the show he cut a heel promo on the crowd, essentially turning heel.
Of course, this was also in New York (Long Island, WWWYKI), so it's not that big of a surprise Lesnar was the face to that crowd.

Watched a Cactus Jack DVD yesterday. Only eight matches so I wasn't expecting much.
It was so bad. Poorly produced. Two of the matches lasted less than a minute and four were DQ finishes (all interference). I feel like I would have enjoyed them a little if I'd known a little backstory.
Also Tony Atlas and Brian Webster (not sure who that is) did "commentary" between matches, so I guess that was pretty cool.
Disappointed overall, though. Was hoping for at least one good match.
I purchased Undertaker's Wrestlemania 26 match from iTunes. They edited both Triple H and Taker's entrance. They replaced "For whom the bell" with a generic song and "Ain't no grave" with Taker's original entrance theme.

They do that with every DVD that has licensed or timed exclusive music for themes.
Majority of the time its not that big of a problem but once in a while it ends up being bad like Sandman having different music in the One Night Stand 2005 dvd instead of "Enter the Sandman." Not sure if they edited the crowd singing the lyrics to the song on the dvd though.

That's one reason, if not, the main reason why I rarely buy WWE DVD's.
I'm really not a fan of dubbing theme music and also the massive blurs over the WWF logo of footage from The Attitude Era, along with the F being muted when someone says "WWF".
I know it's not the WWE's fault and it's all for legal reasons, but it just puts me off from buying some WWE DVD's. :-\
I DO blame WWE, really. I guarantee you there is a relatively sane amount of money WWE could give to the WWF to allow that footage to be released, and Vince just isn't interested.
I do want to say that I believe WWE will eventually do it just to re-release "uncensored" versions of their old shows, but they've put in so many man-hours as it is editing that shit to hell that it may actually not be worth it at this point.
I could definitely see it, but WWE is happy with their WWE branding so I don't know.
I honestly don't even see how it's legally feasible that they'd NEED to do this editing. As long as they PROMOTE it as WWE footage and "archival" or something, I don't see how seeing a logo or hearing "WWF" really does anything. Even if they have to put a disclaimer at the beginning of the show stating that it's archival and that the WWF name belongs to the World Wildlife Fund.
Almost feel that it's Vince saying "fuck you, we can't use the letters? FINE, we'll get rid of them all." "All of them!?" "ALL OF THEM."
The only thing I can really figure is that the Fund actually owns the WWF scratch logo now or something.

To my knowledge, the "Attitude Logo" is prohibited now as part of the lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund. Though apparently, in 2003, the World Wildlife Fund tired to make all references to the WWF, be it old logos, saying "World Wrestling Federation" and so on, prohibited also, but they failed in that.

Watching a few vids of Orton doing the Thesz Press, comparing it with Austin.
Both involve jumping at the opponent with a forward momentum.
Austin throws his limbs forward and engulfs his opponent, taking them down hard, landing on them and immediately sgtriking.
Orton throws all of his limbs backwards (including his head) and allows the opponent to be taken down via running into his crotch. Then he has to change position to end up in the striking position. He has to finish the landing from his jumping crotch shot and then go into the striking position.

When did Orton start doing the Thesz Press?
It had to be at least somewhat recent or at least around the time he became the "Cena" of Smackdown.
In Austin's case, he did that move for years and even before becoming the top face/heel of the company instead of Orton just randomly adding the move which is why Orton's looks weird.
Orton started using it a bit before he started using the Angle Slam.

Orton has shown a lot more energy, charisma, and moves in the ring but he is still a douche.

Random question...
Why the fuck does Crims<s>on</s>-berg have a job?
There's your answer. In fact, if you change the hair color on the picture below, it's more obvious.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g122/sandman3g/Bill_Goldberg_Falcons.jpg
LOL it looks like his hair was just photoshopped.
Sadly, it wasn't. That's what's so unsettling about it.
Speaking of Photoshop, I'm sorry, Ramm, I tried.
I fail at shooping to begin with (I'm better at physically manipulating art- like paint or draw. Hell, I could actually Mod Podge that bad boy on print outs, snap a pic, and post it before I can do the equivalent in Photoshop. That's how un-adept I am at it) and no one took the bait. That would have been, to quote one particular poster o' these forums, "fucking glorious".

Punk gettin' ready for life after WWE

Now imagine these pictures, but with Punk with the title around his waist or on his shoulder, and it's a vignette of Punk "taking the title hostage".
Surprised nobody compared this to Jericho working drive-thru, or the clips of Matt Hardy & Christian in the Japanese restaurant. So, I'm doing that now- just without the pictures. ^_^
Is that a knife sticking on the wall?
It's looks like a knife.
Yes, it is a knife. Magnetized. It prevents the knives from getting lost/dropped/dirty and they're always where you need them. I once worked in a restaurant that did this.

Yes. Honestly, joking aside, I think it's a good sign- like she's in a better stage of dealing with the loss of Eddie. She's past the mopey/letting herself go out of grief part.

He needs to bring back the jacket with the different color rose look now that he doesn't have any groups to lead.
It looked great when he did it on NXT to go along with Jericho's suit image.

Shit! Just realized I am going to watch Harry Potter during MitB.. SHIT!
We were supposed to go to the 4 pm show of the final Harry Potter movie but I just heard it is the 7 pm show now. Bunch of fags who can't make out the difference between 4 pm and 7 pm. Probably from the same lineage of guys who call me expecting the Greek embassy because they dial a 7 instead of a 4.
Okay then. Well, if you get to put your money in her bank, it'll all be worth it.
I edited that post, not putting anything regarding that in the open to perverts forum. But ya :naughty:

If it was me who had to choose between a PPV or a movie, I'd always choose the PPV.
I've done it before. There have been times where I've been asked to go out for some drinks with friends on a Friday night, but declined because I wanted to watch SmackDown. I also went out to celebrate "New Years 2008", but I left early so I could get home in time for Raw.
