Article writer Kevin Powers states, “Who could possibly comprise the modern incarnation of the most notorious faction of all time? It would take a major betrayal of the WWE Universe akin to Hulk Hogan’s original collusion with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The only Superstar capable of such an impactful move would be none other than John Cena.
“When Hogan deceived WCW, he was as polarized as Cena. Some still loved the classic red and yellow, others were tired of it. There's a place for women's wrestling as a novelty. Easy solution to the problem of only devoting one segment a week to divas despite having a ton on the roster is to give the ones you like something to do with the male wrestlers. Have them be valets or involved in some other way. This keeps them on TV and getting recognized and building up characters without devoting much time to them solely. Then you can continue to throw them in the title picture as you see fit and it won't be after months of being forgotten.

Each member of the group was looking for respect in an organization entrenched in battle with The New World Order. Christian and Orton as the new Outsiders seems like a really odd pairing.

I think Christian and Edge in a non-wrestling role would make a lot better pairing considering they fit the mold of the original Outsiders who are actual real life friends and are good enough on the mic to set up Cena's eventual betrayal.

Orton fits more as the Macho Man considering his high status as the #2 guy in the company (maybe #3/#4 now because of Sheamus and/or Punk). He joins later but not as the original set of members and after helping out the WWE side for a while before his own betrayal.

Yeah, anything that isn't focused on an eventual main event draw. Like the cruiserweight division is WCW. Very useful. People loved it. Should never have gotten a ton of segments on the show. It's a gimmick division. A great one. But you were never gonna headline your biggest show of the year with a cruiserweight title match or anything. Same with divas. Ideally, I'd have one segment devoted to the divas, one segment devoted to the cruiserweights and you can focus the rest of the show on the rest of the roster who are on the "main card". The part of the roster who can move around up to the main event and such.

I'm just speaking to divisions though. As for comedy wrestlers, I think it depends on their place. I think there's room for a guy like Santino and a guy like Brodus Clay on the same show. They both serve a purpose.

That being said, Chyna is in no definition of the word a "mainstream celebrity". Mainstream means that you're basically a household name (i.e. John Wayne, Elvis Presley, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, etc.). Chyna is as much a celebrity as Snooki or Paris Hilton or basically any other mutant that people think is interesting just because they're an idiot on TV.
