Apparently the Kings of Wrestling had some sort of tryout with the WWE. The reports are saying they were "working out" in the ring before the show with WWE officials, so I'm guessing it's some sort of tryout at least.
Dear WWE,

Are WWE actually starting to put together a tag division? Can't see any other reason to bring back Murdoch since he wont get anywhere in singles, pairing him with Husky Harris to take on Nexus would be the obvious route.

Shane is really turning into Vince.
Article, from http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/entertainmentnewsbuzz/2011/06/shane-mcmahon-is-his-own-man.html:
Shane McMahon has never been afraid to knock on doors.
When he was just 5, his dad -- wrestling impresario and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon -- put him to work going from barber shop to barber shop asking if he could hang up fliers and posters for upcoming matches.
Years later, McMahon was still selling for his dad. Only this time around the doors he was knocking on were in Eastern Europe and China. As the WWE's executive vice president of global media, the younger McMahon was instrumental in getting WWE content and events in almost 150 countries.
Image1 Now McMahon, 41, is trying to do for Hollywood what he did for the WWE. Earlier this week his company You on Demand formed a partnership with Warner Bros. to get the entertainment giant's content into China via pay-per-view and video-on-demand cable platforms. You on Demand has access to homes in China through a 20-year pact with China Home Cinema, the pay-television arm of that country's CCTV-6 network. Cable operators can deliver the content into homes. You on Demand has said it expects to have as many as 3 million subscribers this summer.
China, with a population of 1.3 billion, has become a priority for Hollywood. The Motion Picture Assn. of America is trying to get the Chinese government to ease up on its restrictions on foreign films and double the current quota to as many as 40.
In the meantime, Hollywood is trying to find other avenues into China. Earlier this month, Legendary Pictures, a Burbank company that co-financed "The Hangover" and "The Dark Knight," unveiled a joint venture with a Chinese entertainment conglomerate to make English-language films in China that would be exported around the world. Cable represents another window into the market and Warner Bros. will make current as well as older product available through You on Demand.
Up until a few years ago, McMahon was content toiling for his father at WWE. He had been working there professionally since graduating from Boston University -- holding positions in marketing, sales, promotion and production. He even reffed some matches and got in the ring every now and then as "Shane-O-Mac."
Rising high up the executive ranks, McMahon was seen as a potential successor to his father. There was only one problem. "He wasn't going anywhere," he said and laughed.
As a favor to a friend, McMahon took a meeting with Marc Urbach, who was chief financial officer of what was then known as China Broadband Inc. The company had just secured a license to operate in China and Urbach, who grew up as a fan of the WWE, wanted to pick McMahon's brains about the region. McMahon had spent a lot of time schmoozing government officials to get WWE content inside the country.
"At first I didn't believe them," McMahon said when he was told the company had a green light to set up shop in China. "Getting the license is the hardest thing in the world." He did his due diligence, even flying to China to visit the company's offices there.
Initially, McMahon was approached about joining China Broadband Inc.'s board of directors. The more time he spent studying the company, the more intrigued he became. He joined the company in late 2009 as its chairman and chief executive and invested $4 million.
"It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make," McMahon said of his leaving WWE to strike out on his own. "I didn't want to wake up when I was 70 and say, 'I should have done that.'" Telling his father he wanted to leave was "brutal" and now, almost two years later, there remains some residual tension. "It's still hard," he said.
McMahon is confident that he is entering a buyer's market in China. The heavy piracy there has convinced him that consumers are hungry for content.
"If you give them access and it's better quality, why aren't they going to watch it," he said.
McMahon said he is "very far down the road" with other studios about signing deals similar to the Warner Bros. agreement.
Asked if he'd be striking any deals with his father for WWE content on You on Demand, McMahon cracked, "I don't know, I'm a tough negotiator."

So if you have been following me today, you knew that at 11 AM (Central Time), I began a one-day mix from the bottom up. I started completely from scratch and chose 3 random songs out of the blue. The three?
Dean Malenko - Double Oh Seven
Gregory Helms - It's Time
Eddie Guerrero - Latino Heat
So I started to add to it. I did a Vader/Helms mix and loved it, so I 'revisited' it. Then, on the concept of time, I added John Cena. Then Randy Orton. Then Christian. Then, my phone alarm went off. IDK why it was set for 1 PM. The song that played?
Zack Ryder - Oh Radio
So, here you go, 6 hours too early. Enjoy.

Looks like the Hypothetical thread about what if Cena or Orton was injured could become true at least for Smackdown pretty soon.
– As noted earlier, Randy Orton stated on Twitter that he passed the ‘Impact test’ he underwent on Friday. Therefore, he is cleared to wrestle Christian at tomorrow night’s Capitol Punishment pay-per-view event. The WWE World Heavyweight suffered a concussion during Sunday’s SmackDown live event in Spain and had to pass the test in order to be medically cleared to return to the ring. WWE had a backup plan in place should Orton not have been able to wrestle.
http://www.tpww.net/2011/06/averno-unmasked-jr-blogs-orton-concussion-update/
He got cleared for now but isn't taking a small break as a health precaution which could end up being a bad thing if he gets another one in a short period of time.

If I'm to randomly guess something, then maybe it'll be the begining of an angle where it has something to do with Vince wanting his employees to be referred to as "(Sports) Entertainers" and not Wrestlers and so on. Punk then says he isn't happy at it as he sees himself as a Wrestler and not an Entertainer and that he doesn't want to be part of a wrestling company that refuses to call the employees, Wrestlers. So he says he's going to leave the WWE. :-\
Last night Punk did the whole air quotes thing when he said "Sport Entertainers" and there are videos of him saying the word "wrestlers" at events then saying something along the lines of "Oh, I'm sorry, "Sport Entertainers"".

using them as weapons as you suggested up there on a regular basis is going to cause considerably more damage than on the occasions they get dropped during a run in or something similar. It's just not very efficient to be spending tens of thousands of dollars on microphones every week when a heel can use a $5 rubber pipe and get the same reaction.

Hmmm, i have a suspicion that Kofi wins MITB, since its no secret that he's actually real life friends with Punk and Punk has been wanting to put him over forever. Punk wins the belt, celebrates to an extent, antagonizes the crowd, the announcers play up the "Omg what just happened" card and then Kofi's music hits. He cashes it in, they have about a 5 minute match, some type of reversal, SOS, Kofi new WWE Champ.
Or, Punk is celebrating with Nexus, they helped with a distraction for him to go over Cena. They're standing at the top of the ramp when Kofis music hits. They all wait for him while Punk is in the ring, facing the entrance. Kofi comes through the crowd, gets in the ring, the bell rings. Punk turns around to see why the bell rang, Trouble In Paradise, 1-2-3, Kofi wins. This is feasible, and I'd mark out like a whore. It sets up Punks return in a few months to feud with Kofi like he's been wanting too, and the feud will build Kofi up for his second run.
At least, thats how I hope it plays out. *retreats*

For those who haven't seen it before, it's from "Unscripted II" where Low Ki was fired and pulled from the show, and a snowstorm covered the Northeast, making it impossible for a lot of the wrestlers to get to the show. So Punk came back from OVW for one night.
Had a dream last night where TNA was holding a Royal Rumble-like PPV/Battle Royal, and the Battle Royal itself was in the middle of the card for no reason. A Sable match was above the battle royal, and two other matches.
To top it off, not only did Goldberg debut in the Battle Royal, but so did Batista. Batista debuted as a Dudley, accompanied by Bubba, and was in Tye Dye garb.
Yes, I dreamed about Batista Dudley.

Slow news day. CNN story on WWE collecting:
http://www.cnn.com/2011/LIVING/06/23/wwe.figures.go/index.html?hpt=en_c2
(CNN) -- It was 1984. Hulk Hogan had won the WWE Championship from The Iron Sheik, Rowdy Roddy Piper smashed a coconut over Jimmy Snuka's head and Captain Lou Albano's appearance in Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" was hitting the airwaves.
Fans around the world couldn't wait get their hands on toy company LJN's first line of WWE action figures. Sure, these tiny wrestlers were made of hard plastic and had zero moveable joints, but these were WWE action figures. Children wanted to play with the heroes and villains they saw on TV each week.
"I can remember asking my mom and dad for LJN figures straight off the shelves when I was about 8 or so," said Daniel Epps, a 34-year old, decades-long fan of WWE figures from Gloversville, New York.
Fast forward 27 years and Mattel's collection of WWE figures is light years away from LJN's stiff Hulk Hogan figures. Today, Mattel's Randy Orton figure has 27 points of articulation, highly detailed tattoos and real fabric clothing that makes it the spitting image of the 6-foot-4, 245-pound superstar. The improvements are irresistible for fans.
"Now I collect as a hobby. I tried to quit buying last year when Mattel took over the WWE license, but the figures are so incredible I just couldn't stop," Epps said.
Another WWE figurine collector, Artur Queiroga, 20, agrees. "Mattel's WWE action figures possesses superior articulation and bear a greater likeness to the superstars than the figures of past lines.
"The different classes of action figures are executed excellently, with different accessories and ranges of articulation, making a figure of the more expensive class truly seem worth it."
Hasbro took over production of the WWE figures in 1990, adding moving arms and spring loaded movements. In 1996, Jakks Pacific added 15 points of articulation, moving legs, heads and a level of detail not seen up until this time. Mattel is the fourth company to produce WWE figures starting in January 2010.
Mattel's signature take on the figures is to scale them in the most life-like fashion to-date. All previous figures by the other companies were the same standard size. It didn't matter if you were 5'9" or 7'6"; your action figure was the same height as all the others.
Now, WWE Superstar Kane, who is 7 feet tall in real life, has his action figure stand at 7.5 inches while someone like Rey Mysterio, who is 5'6," has his action figure stand a little over 6 inches.
"It is the coolest thing having your own action figure," said former World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage. "It is hard to describe to go into a store and see yourself there on the shelf. It is kind of a surreal thing. You kind of know you have arrived when you get an action figure."
The process of turning a WWE Superstar or Diva into an amazingly real looking figure begins with putting the real superstars under a laser.
"A four-head body scanner sits on four posts that is lowered from the ceiling," said Derek Handy, a senior designer from Mattel. "A laser beam bounces back and forth off the Superstar that then creates a 3-D image. The head scanner rotates around the Superstar's head 360 degrees and picks up the depth."
Nabil Carrillo, a 19-year old from Orlando, Florida, who collects WWE, Star Wars, Marvel Universe and other action figures, believes that the WWE figures by Mattel can't be compared with any other figure when it comes to detail.
"The details on these figures are superb, and they look realistic," Carrillo said. "That's what makes them popular."
These figures are played with by kids, kept in their boxes by the adults and often set up in elaborate scenes by both. To the WWE fan, the wrestlers that they see on TV each week are their superheroes.
"Right now I have loose LJNs and Hasbros displayed on the ledges above my doors and windows of our living room and bedroom," Epps said. "I also have some signed figures hanging up on our dining room wall."
Fans enjoy creating dream matchups that they never thought were possible such as Ravishing Rick Rude from the 1980s and '90s vs. current WWE SmackDown wrestler Randy Orton. For the football fan, this is like seeing the 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the 1995 Dallas Cowboys.
Online communities at wrestlingfigs.com, ringsidecollectibles.com and wrestlingsuperstore.com are the places where fans can discuss new and older figures.
These websites also sell exclusive WWE figures that aren't available in traditional stores such as Walmart and Target. International buyers turn to these websites to find the figures that they can't find in stores in their own countries.
"We support each other in our hobby, from congratulating on recent purchases, to posting what series is out on store shelves, to advising about making custom figures," Epps said.
Many collectors hope their investments in these figures will one day pay them back and then some.
Several LJN figures are eBay are selling from $500 to $1,000. And while the current Mattel figures are not selling for that much more than their purchase price, they are expected to follow the upward price trend of the LJN and Hasbro figures.
Movie and comic treasures go for big bucks
One of today's most popular activities in the WWE figurine collector community is creating customized action figures. For instance, WWE's newest acquisition from Mexico, Sin Cara, doesn't have an action figure out yet. Sellers on eBay take the time to design and hand-paint Sin Cara figures that are one-of-a-kind collector items.
Even though Queiroga is a collector of all these figures, as far as selling his figures goes, he has no plans for that anytime soon.
"I've collected action figures for a very long time and they mean a lot to me. I couldn't part with them," he said.
Epps used to buy every figure made, but now since he has a family, his spending habits have changed.
"My main goal is to have one figure of every wrestler," he said.
"Now I average about one figure every other week. I plan to some day give the collection to one of my kids, whichever shows the most interest in wrestling."

Was he Close To Going To WWE This Year?: Yes, I was contacted by WWE people. The vignettes I can honestly tell you that I do not understand that one even now, unless it was some kind of deal where they were just trying to test the waters, I really don’t know, because so many people were saying, “I hope it’s Sting, I hope it’s Sting.” I thought, “Gosh, I wonder if they’re going to shoot themselves in the foot there by making this choice, because if things do not work out, why did they do it to begin with?” I had all kinds of things going through my head. But, yeah, I was very, very close to going up there, and I believe there probably would have been something with Undertaker. That was the word at least.
You gotta go out with a bang Sting instead of fading away at TNA.

This has to be after the Mayweather "altercation"
Big Show was way fatter in his ECW days
I think it's after Extreme Rules 2008 and his singapore cane 5-way where he got busted open on the ring steps.

Its pretty cool that TNA is showing house show matches for their Bound for Glory Series stuff on TV.

Its from this week's episode of NXT where Tyson Kidd finds out Yoshi Tatsu has a shrine for his action figure.

Theres a brilliant idea for a movie..A mish mash group of mediocre wrestlers try to bring the company back to the top after years of failure, only to be derailed by a maniacal owner who wants to sell to the big time promoter in the country.

Good stuff. I like them. :y:
Hopefully the person that made those will keep adding to them.
Though, I see Velvet McIntyre and Debra are the only ones that don't have their titles with them. :(

Started at Botchamania 136 or so like three days ago and am finally in the home stretch of catching up, currently at 171 out of 176.

They used the NXT Season 1 theme song in the new Footloose trailer.

I liked the logo with the wrestling ring as the O...it was one of the eliminated designs
This one looks a little too much like TNAs old logo though (http://99designs.com/logo-design/contests/ring-honor-wrestling-logo-refresh-75181/entries/310)

Most likely because of the guy on the front of it.

Watching Sin Cara's SD! match. I've had it with him, he botches more than Sabu.
HHH on Sin Cara:
'Hey, he's Mexican, he wears a mask... He must be just as good as Mysterio!'
What really sucks is that they are going to force him down our throats because HHH will look bad if he doesn't make it, being his 'discovery' and all. And what a stupid fucking point that is. A discovery, the guy was a fucking international star, it isn't a fucking discovery, FUCK YOU HHH! FUCK YOU!!!
Jesus Christ, instead of employing a bunch of fucking writers that don't know anything about pro-wrestling they should hire some scouts that can actually make REAL DISCOVERIES! FUCK, I could have told you years ago that Mystico fucking sucks. Every one of his matches is this: 74 variations of the hurricanrana, then he beats you with a hurricanrana (gasp!!!!!!!!) into a fucking armbar, FUCK THAT!!! FUCK YOU SIN CARA!!!
