RAW 1,000 And Why Stone Cold Steve Austin Wasn’t There

On July 23, 2012 WWE celebrated the 1,oooth episode of Monday Night Raw. I watched the show from my home in Los Angeles. After watching the show, I got on my Twitter account, @steveaustinBSR, to read responses to the show. There were many people blaming Vince McMahon and the WWE for not having SCSA on the show. And there were some folks who had some very negative things to say about me, personally.

The reason I did not attend RAW 1,000 was because I underwent a major knee surgery on my left knee on July 2, 2012. Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA performed the surgery.

The surgery was a complete success. I am currently three weeks post op. I began physical therapy a few days ago. I had a world class surgeon and a great medical team working on me. I am now working with a top notch PT team. I am still on crutches and will probably lose the crutches in another week. Then I will be in a custom knee brace much like the braces I wore in the ring for 9-12 weeks.

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN IS A 100% ASS KICKING MACHINE. There was no way I was going to limp down the ramp on crutches for RAW 1,000. It was time to get my knee fixed. The decision to no-show RAW 1,000 was made by me and no one else. I have always taken pride in making my shots and have never faked an injury or illness. Pro Wrestling is a tough game and it was time to pay the piper for some of the damage I incurred in the ring. No gripes. No complaints.

To the fans that were hoping to see SCSA, I’m sorry I missed the show. I would have loved to be there under different circumstances. I normally keep my personal business to myself, but due to feedback and incorrect speculation, I have posted this blog and given the 411 on why I was not at RAW 1,000.

I will post more blogs about my PT and recovery soon.

Would not mind seeing The New Age Outlaws return for a small run in the tag team division. Give some attention/focus/heat to the tag division before being "taken out" by some heel team.

Don't know what kind of shape Road Dogg is in, but Billy Gunn looks like he could probably carry the team.

Road Dogg looks like he's in fine shape. The Outlaws winning the tag titles and "showing the division how it's done" for a while as teams kinda come close and show that they're on the level of one of the greatest teams in WWE history before one team finally does it would be a great way to legitimize the division.

I actually watched the first hour of TNA tonight.

I liked when Bully Ray referred to his phone as a "Twitter Machine"

Also saw Chavo's debut. Pretty funny trying to pass him off as a legend. Also no idea what kind of point Kid Kash was trying to make with his promo. I wonder if they are gonna copy the Hernandez/Chavo story from ARMCHAIR WARFARE Season 1. Also, Chavo looks like a Mexican Littlefinger.

Yeah, Bully Ray is the best heel in wrestling right now. The heat he gets is ridiculous, and he has turned himself into the best brawler-style wrestler in years. He can do hardcore (obviously), but his power game and his overall style has been really refined. Even when TNA was unwatchable up until recently, Ray was their shining star.

Yeah, where was this when he was in WWE and they split the Dudleys? D'Von had a decent gimmick, enough charisma to get some heat, and paired with a debuting Bats, and Bubba was just a poor man's Dusty Rhodes. And not even a good one of those.

Flipside, D'Von is completely bland now. The whole thing is 180 from what I just referenced above.

My tips on becoming a Pro Wrestler-Sports Entertainer.It takes a lot more work to being a WWE superstar than an few Pro Wrestling holds and throws. You must develop all your skills and that usually comes from help from more experienced pro's. I never had to be told to ask for help and guidance and never to this day stop working on my skills. Sitting round texting, playing games and whining will get you know where. No one owes you a living.

So that I don't come across like a miserable old git (insert joke), I will happily give some free advice to up and coming Pro Wrestlers:

Find a school with a good rep and a trainer who has a great pedigree.
Learn the basics properly.Get and stay in good condition,there's a big difference from looking in condition to actually being in condition.I'm a believer in Hindu squats,Hindu push ups and most importantly proper bridging(nose on mat,feet flat on mat).Work hard and have respect for the job.Good manners go a long way.Treat people the way you would like to be treated.Enjoy it.

Now once you are training:

- Make everything you do mean something or don't bother doing it.

- Study the greats and the people who the great ones admire.Very important.

- Get a good base of basics and perfect them.Don't take this for granted.

- Work at perfecting your skills but be honest with yourself. If there are things you don't do well then avoid doing them.

- Try to find someone who will give you an honest answer about your skills. Most people's ego won't allow them to think they do things badly.

- Practice your talking skills. Use a mirror and film yourself and work on every detail, facials, eyes and mannerisms.

- Look to the world to find things that you can use to develop your character. Films, TV shows and anything else that grabs your attention.

- Learn how to read people's emotions. This tip is invaluable. People don't just boo or cheer. You have to learn how to make them.

Learn from the mistakes of the people who have come before you (including me) and try not to make them.

To make it in the WWE you have to be very adaptable and willing to make any character or opportunity work.Heres some very good advise.Make a list of the worst possible situations and character traits you be asked to do.Now make up a character and promos involving those traits and work on perfecting that character and promo(on your own otherwise you'll get locked up).Make those things second nature.Now you've taken away some of your fears so whatever you are asked to do should be easier.Dont skip this task.Very few people who come to the WWE end up being the character they envisioned.

The most important things you have to make you connect with an audience are your eyes.If you believe in yourself and your persona it will be evident in your eyes.You cannot show any real emotion without your eyes.So,if you're interested in being taken seriously then never wear anything to cover them.This will offend a lot of people but you don't look cool wearing sunglasses indoors.You look a divvy.There are many big stars who have worn them but you'll find most will take them off when they're making a serious point or they just have that special magic that only 1 in a million have.

- wOne more tip. Everyone takes ideas from others but make them your own. Try to be original. Be a one off.

Matt could have been huge at that time. As much as they were going for realism, I don't know how they could have booked the SummerSlam match to keep the angle hot. It's one of the bad things about blurring reality like that. Eventually you've gotta book a professional wrestling match. Can't be easy.

SummerSlam should have been booked inverse of how it was. Matt Hardy should have been trying to kill Edge, with the referee calling for a DQ. Hardy then gets the Steel Cage Match against Edge where DQs can't save him.

Also, Matt should have never thanked Vince for bringing him back. He should have called Vince out for firing him in the first place.

Also, I like how in almost all his matches, McIntyre uses the ring as a weapon in an innovative way. It's like his speciality.

Kinda crazy how Lita was on Raw last Monday. I mean, I've always thought she was hot, despite her annoying voice, but towards the end of her wrestling career we were all just kinda "meh" about her. Then out she comes at Raw 1000 looking fucking smoking like that. :yes: :y: :heart: ;) :naughty: :eek:
