All those Noid posts reminds me that I read somewhere about two days or so ago that Vince has apparently asked his merchandising department to begin creating some Ryback merchandise for the near future and that it could mean that Ryback may be turning face soon, as the WWE don't usually push heel merchandise.

Boredom has lead me to check out WWEShop and I noticed that Zack Ryder's standee is the only one that's had it's price reduced.

Even the Sin Cara and Hornswoggle standees cost more than Ryder's.

I decided to check out Ryder's page on WWEShop and he currently has 25 items for sale, but 21 of those have their prices reduced.

I remember the days when people cared about Ryder.

I still like Ryder but I don't see him as a singles guy now. I doubt he'll get another chance to "prove himself" like he did when he became US Champion.

I would love it though if we saw the return of Hawkins & Ryder as a team.

That would be great.

Though I will say that he still needs to work on his mic skills.

I still remember that promo he gave when he was US Champion and he was in the ring with Bryan and Punk.

That was pretty "cringeworthy".

If Vince is serious this time about working on the tag division with introducing Los Matadores, then adding Hawkins & Ryder to the division would be a good move.

I really don't think Darren Young is winning because he's gay. I think he's winning because The Prime Time Players are getting a face push now. The fans reacted positively to Darren's news and the WWE saw that as a good opportunity to turn The Prime Time Players face and give them a bit of a run.

Afterall, it has been said that Vince wants to work on the tag division, so a tag team member defeating another tag team member isn't going to happen because the winner is gay.

If people want to go down the "Because he's gay" route, then I guess you can say that Daniel Bryan is only where he is today because he choked Justin Roberts with a tie. There was a lot of positive support for Bryan from the fans when he was released, the WWE saw that as a good opportunity to have him return as a face and from there, his career just kept going up and up.

If he didn't choke Roberts with a tie, who knows where he would be right now. He'd probably be having his first face run right now, after being a heel since his debut with The Nexus.

I was on a show with Neidhart about two years ago, and before the show he did a seminar for any of the wrestlers who wanted to take part. Was a fucking joke. The guy was completely out of it. Took him two minutes to get through the ropes (no exaggeration), and after pulling off that amazing feat, he was sweating buckets.

Guy still did enough in the ring to send the punters home happy, but overall, throughout the day he reeked of that "former WWE superstar struggling without the spotlight" stigma.

I don't know about people, just my own objection as a Cesaro fan, so it's all my own subjective opinion, although I should be used to him being jobbed out by now :roll:

It's 2013, being gay is just another walk of life now, although I guess in sports there's still homophobia to contend with. He's not winning because he's gay, he's winning because WWE have to push him after all the media attention he got. I don't begrudge him his push, I don't mind him, it's just when it's at the expensive of a much superior wrestler, it bothers me (IMO).

Basically I'm a butthurt Cesaro fan, I'll call it what it is. I do however have nothing but love for the gay community, especially their music.

Can't wait to see Darren Young ride out to the ring on a fucking rainbow and beat all of my favourite midcard wrestlers. :|

The story goes that Adrian Neville (the former Pac) was signed by WWE because William Regal brought a tape of Neville vs. Devitt to Triple H. This led to WWE going right after Pac.

The interest in Devitt continues. His name keeps coming up within WWE in regards to names who they would like to reach out to.

Paul Heyman got “major props” backstage for what was described as one of the best in-ring action promo angles ever on this week’s Monday Night RAW from Phoenix where he beat CM Punk with a kendo stick. When he got to the back, Triple H put him over and called his work “magic.”

The plan as of this week is for a new Paul Heyman guy to “save him” at Night of Champions next month. We’re told this is the current course of storyline progression.

Do not be surprised if WWE gives Rob Van Dam the World Heavyweight Title at the Night of Champions pay-per-view next month. RVD is expected to get a huge pop in Detroit and if WWE wants a title change for a few weeks or even a transition to Damien Sandow, this could be the best opportunity.

The pairing of Ricardo Rodriguez with Rob Van Dam was “super last minute” because Rey Mysterio wasn’t ready to come back.


Seth Rollins is officially out of the WWE doghouse. Randy Orton told a producer at RAW on Monday night in Phoenix that he enjoys working with The Shield.

Word is that Dolph Ziggler is in the WWE doghouse. He was put under to Antonio Cesaro in a match taped for WWE Superstars and it’s rumored that he recently got into it with Randy Orton.

There is talk of pairing CM Punk with Daniel Bryan to feud with Triple H and Randy Orton. Under this scenario, Punk would do a worked shoot promo with Bryan about where they came from and how Punk had to threaten to quit before getting a push.

He would focus on Triple H “holding guys down” and how they aren’t the model WWE guys and now they’re treating Bryan how they treated him.

Word is that under this scenario, Paul Heyman would realign with Punk because the only thing they hate more than each other is the McMahons.

Another proposed plan is to align Bryan with Shawn Michaels, like we’ve written about before.

New twist for Bound for Glory series

The entire thing is a mess because time is running out and of the 11 matches that would be necessary for each guy in a 12 man round-robin tournament, the guys have ranged from four to six matches completed with time running out.

So they are essentially dropping everything, doing the four matches this coming Thursday, and ending it from there with the top four point getters going to the 9/12 final four show.

TNA ended up forgetting that Magnus still needed to renew his work VISA until yesterday. Ended up screwing up the first emergency plan to end BFG series this year which was done because they didn't realize until recently how behind schedule they were this year.

TNA Wrestling issued a statement this afternoon through its company website concerning tonight's Bound For Glory Series matches on Impact Wrestling since tournament leader Magnus will be not be appearing on the show "due to an unforeseen issue."

The British grappler was scheduled to compete against Jeff Hardy and as a result of his absence, they have announced the following changes to the show.

"Magnus, due to an unforeseen issue, will not be appearing on tonight’s Impact Wrestling on Spike TV. Magnus currently has competed in 5 matches and was scheduled to face Kazarian on Xplosion this week and Jeff Hardy on Spike TV tonight. Due to the circumstances, TNA officials have met and made the following decision:

"Magnus will stand with his current total of 39 points. Jeff Hardy and Kazarian will face each other tonight on Impact Wrestling on Spike TV to make up their originally scheduled match with Magnus. Also the originally scheduled Kazarian vs. Hernandez match will move to Xplosion this week.

I randomly thought about this last night. What if one night on raw, Hulk Hogan's music where to hit and out comes Zack Ryder, dressed up like Hogan, only with his own head gear.
He comes out copying Hogan's entrance with the hand to his ear and the flexing his muscles and what not.

As we noted on PWInsider.com, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff took part in a Q&A in Toronto over the weekend as part of the Fan Expo event. A fan asked Hogan what could finally be done to make TNA successful ...

In asking around about what TNA's response to the comments were, I was told that a number of people within the company were upset about the statement for several reasons and that there's absolutely heat on the duo for even insinuating that the Carter family wasn't giving TNA proper resources.

As one source noted, no matter how you feel about her, the comments can't be seen as anything but a direct slap in the face to TNA President Dixie Carter, coming from her top paid talent, no less.

"Even if you agreed with Hulk," said one TNA wrestler that spoke under condition of anomynity, "the way it was said and the way it comes across in that video just completely disrespected Dixie, even if that's not what he meant."

Two, the reality is that to many in the company, Bischoff has been given the keys to the car. From the day he and Hogan came into the company, TNA management has acquiesced to their creative direction and ideas - whether it be talent that was brought in, the removal of the six-sided ring, the failure that came with moving Impact Wrestling to Mondays opposite Raw, leaving the Impact Zone and taking TNA on the road, etc. These were all ideas that came from the Bischoff/Hogan era that TNA agreed to under the auspice of growing the company.

The problem with all that is, as one source noted, there has been no growth in any facet of TNA's domestic business since The Bischoff/Hogan regime began - not in live events, not in ratings, not in licensing - not in any one department or aspect of the promotion.

Instead, the company went on the road and didn't see the estimated revenue that they believed would come with it, forcing them to restructure from the ground up and putting them into a position where they have to be the "evil company" letting Jesse Soresen go and have to be in a position where money is an issue re-signing their original poster boy, AJ Styles.

At the same time, TNA has paid Hogan a good salary and put Bischoff into a position where he became the conduit and liason between Spike and TNA, even before Dixie Carter, who created and cultivated the relationship between the two sides.

So, the pair continue to reap the rewards of being part of the company while others have lost their jobs, have had their deals restructured for less money and watch as the company continues to, at best, run on a treadmill and at worse, slide backwards. To put it in layman's terms, TNA is putting out more money to be exactly where they were, or worse, in comparison to before Bischoff/Hogan's regime began ...

"Hulk came across like he pretty much said that the company didn't have anyone strong in charge and Eric was the savior," said the TNA wrestler. "Well, they've been here years and Eric hasn't saved anyone yet."


While no one that we know of has mentioned Hulk Hogan's controversial comments about how Eric Bischoff should be "given the keys" to the TNA kingdom, several top WWE producers (formerly known as agents) and production personnel have discussed it in the past few days, with the consensus being Hogan and Bischoff have been a poison pill in TNA for quite some time.

"Vince McMahon forgives and forgets, and if he can make a dollar off Hogan in the future, you'll see the Hulkster back in WWE," a top production person in WWE told WZ exclusively. "But everyone is buzzing at just how Hogan and Bischoff have all but crippled that company, and have done nothing to get it out of the hole Bruce Prichard dug for the company when he was in Dixie's ear."

As Dave noted this morning on the site, TNA and AJ Styles have agreed to a short term contract extension. One source told me this morning it's a deal that will take the two sides a little past Bound for Glory. They will continue negotiations for a longer deal, but as Dave has written, it's going to be money that tells the tale of whether Styles stays or not.

Would mean TNA has between late October to early November to come up with a new deal for him or let him go if both sides are still too far apart in money talks.

PWInsider is reporting that Mark Henry may have hurt his knee during a run-in at the end of last night's WWE live event in Boston, MA.

Henry reportedly hurt himself while hitting the ring and took some time in getting up, looking to be in pain. The injury isn't confirmed and no WWE sources were sure if he had just tweaked his knee or suffered an actual injury.

I respect Mark Henry as much as the next guy, but I really don't want to see him and Big Show challenge for the WWE Tag Team Titles. I'd rather have Triple H put Ziggler, The Miz and Big Show into a Triple Threat against each other at Night of Champions (as a way to silence the outspoken members of the roster) and give the Tag Team Title shot to The Prime Time Players or something.

I'm wondering if they should take the Intercontinental Title off Curtis Axel before Night of Champions and have a separate IC Title match. Kofi Kingston could win it and then be challenged by Ryback, and they could play up the history between those guys. Ryback could win the match and capture his first championship in the WWE.

Big E. Langston winning the title from Kofi Kingston is another possibility. He'd make an interesting choice for champion. Since I'm in love with the guy, I'd get behind an Antonio Cesaro reign too.

Triple H should reward The Shield for their loyalty and respect by allowing them to choose their own opponents for Night of Champions. Christian challenges Ambrose in some sort of sly way and Ambrose essentially says he's not afraid of Christian and accepts his challenge. Rollins & Reigns choose The Prime Time Players because they've been on a role and they are the best tag team they haven't beaten yet.

As far as the Divas Title goes, it seems like AJ Lee vs. Natalya would be the obvious choice for a Night of Champions match. Given time, it could be one of the best Divas matches in a while.
