Triple-H's long lion-like hair laying over CM Punk's crotch area.
Hey, Triple H with a hairy chest/stomach...first time I ever see him like that. He also wasn't in the shape we are accustomed to seeing him in...I mean, he wasn't out of shape, but he wasn't in the shape we always see him in.
It really seemed like him wrestling Punk was a "last minute" kind of thing.
Great match, though.

He's done articles saying how he's switched his training methods from bodybuilding workouts to athletic workouts, started working with Joe DeFranco, saved his shoulder.

That doesn't his "Tribute to Shawn Michaels" hairy torso. I really think he just doesn't care anymore. He's TRIPLE H. He's THE GAME. He can wrestle in jeans and a tshirt, and he'd still be awesome.
I think it's more a case of "I'm not HHH the polished/chiseled/shaven-chested wrestler" and more a case of "I'm the COO".

– WWE.com announced Monday that in celebration of their first theatrical release in over a decade – Disney’s The Muppets, opening this Thanksgiving – the Muppets will step into the ring on the Oct. 31 episode of WWE Raw SuperShow.
WWE teases: “What will happen when Kermit the Frog meets The Viper? Will the Divas make Miss Piggy flip with jealousy? Will Beaker be confused for Sheamus? On Halloween, it’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights, because the Muppets are about to get Raw!”
I could predict that this will be the worst Raw in the last decade, topping Al Sharptons Guest Host performance.
Your thoughts?
What happened to the Raw General Manager?
With Vince, Mr Future Endeavors, and Triple H as the power leaders, where does this leave the Guest Hosts?

A reader who will remain nameless attended the WWE Studio focus group yesterday in Buffalo, New York. The focus group was shown footage from the upcoming John Cena film "The Reunion" and was then asked about the film.
Over the course of the survey group, the reader was also asked to fill out a survey and sent along the following notes:
*One question had a list which featured the bulk of the main roster and it asked people to place a check mark next to the names of the superstars you'd like to see in upcoming WWE films. CM Punk was noticeably absent from the ballot. It really stood out after all the promos where he ranted about not being "promoted." Oddly enough, Daniel Bryan WAS an option.
Ignoring the Punk thing because these surveys could have been printed months ago, I just imagined a Daniel Bryan film and laughed.

it's not the first time

I'm guessing they know each other and Takiyama is playing "the plant"
What Would Kevin Do?
09-19-2011, 07:22 PM
Also, not surprising since Jericho talks about... I think it was his second book, about how at one WWE show he got into it with Keiji Mutou. He'll pretty much pick "fights" with Japanese wrestlers over there to make the crowd boo him more. So I'm betting that's what it was.
DLHV needs to come in here though and identify the other guy, because I recognize him, and it's annoying me.
the fact it's the same 2 guys sitting next to each other only non-Takiyama guy has grown his hair in the other instance is the only thing that makes me think it's pre-planned

http://ll-media.tmz.com/2011/09/19/0919-hogan-vs-brawlers-ex.jpg
The guys from "Half Pint Brawlers" feel so ripped off by Hulk Hogan (http://www.tmz.com/person/hulk-hogan/)'s new "midget wrestling" show on TruTV, they're talkin' lawsuit.
HPB's founder Puppet the Psycho Dwarf tells TMZ ... Hulk's new show, "Micro Championship Wrestling," is straight up stealing.
"Half Pint Brawlers" on Spike TV followed a group of midget wrestlers trying to create a specialty brand ... which is exactly what Hulk is doing on TruTV.
The reality star goes on to say, "There were a lot of situations that appeared to be copied from what we already did. There were also statements made by members that are almost the exact words out of my mouth."

Grin. He and I both looked at us wrestling up there, too.

Vince McMahon was irate backstage at Monday’s RAW SuperShow after his name was mentioned by Alberto Del Rio during the live broadcast.
Many people within WWE believe McMahon got upset because he is returning to television soon and did not want his name mentioned. Del Rio and the creative writer involved in the segment were both yelled at backstage by Vince.
Stephanie McMahon, who was on hand for the event, attempted to calm her father down but was unable to do so. He remained temperamental for the rest of the night as he was yelling at colleagues throughout the show and making life miserable for those around him. - Ryan Clark
Update from Ryan Clark...
Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
As noted before, Vince McMahon was apparently upset at Monday’s RAW because Alberto Del Rio mentioned his name on TV. The mood at this week’s RAW was described by some as the most negative environment they could recall. Vince McMahon was said to be in the worst mood.
Word is that Vince felt Del Rio gave away the end result of the Kevin Nash and John Laurinaitis storyline by mentioning him. Some say that Vince was in a bad mood before Del Rio name dropped him. It’s said that Stephanie McMahon and Triple H both took more of the brunt from Vince this week than others, as did the agents, mainly Dean Malenko and Arn Anderson.
The writers had to do the usual script changes this week but sources say it was worse this week than most others.
Regarding the Mark Henry and Jerry Lawler angle, they went back and forth all day on whether or not to have Henry put Lawler trough the table. Shortly before RAW started, they made the decision to put him through it. The table was supposed to be gimmicked so it would break easier but because of the late decision, somehow the table wasn’t gimmicked and Lawler was put through it the hard way.
Both Henry and Lawler were upset about the angle but Vince himself was said to be furious about it. After RAW ended, Vince called the agents and writers in for a meeting. Sources say Vince went into a “full-on red faced promo” where everyone felt they were being warned.
I was watching the segment, and I felt like I must have missed something on programing for Del Rio to say that he hopes Vince comes back soon.
I was like, did they speculate that he might return at the beginning of Raw, did I take a extended bathroom break?
Is this a huge mess up to a pending storyline or just provide some anticipation to fans to see what comes next?!

Do you feel that he's starting to be upset that he will be relieving power soon and wants to inflict people with pain who don't make decisions that he enjoys like a true dictator?
These same kind of actions can be seen when any manager steps down and sees things not run as like they'd like.
Do you feel that it'll just get worse from here? Because WWE is Vinces Baby?

Triple H vs Vince at Mania
Rammsteinmad
09-21-2011, 04:08 PM
To be fair, he's only been off TV for what? A month? Six weeks? His 'return' won't shock me or excite me, it'll probably just piss me off knowing that we're going back to the same ol' storylines of the last 12 years.
There seems to be 'Vince McMahon irate' news stories popping up all the time over the last year, and with the announcers claiming they prefered it when Triple H was in charge for one night a while back as he doesn't scream orders down their headsets all night, I kinda wish Vince would just retire for real now and let Hunter and Stephanie take over.
Rammsteinmad
09-21-2011, 04:09 PM
I mean come on, Steph has been involved with behind-the-scenes stuff since forever, and Trips hasn't exactly been ignoring how the business works... I'm sure they both know what they're doing and are ready to take over. Vince (and I can understand this, but it doesn't mean I like it) probably just doesn't want to 'let go'.

I get what you're saying Ramm. Add to it that the way Vince went out was done so well that having return at all would be a pretty big waste. I'd much rather have things continue on and keep up with the hinting that Laurenitis is behind these conspiracies. It's a different direction than what's been taken in the past with different players. Keep it going.
Rammsteinmad
09-21-2011, 05:48 PM
Yeah, if Vince wants his return to be a huge shock/surprise, at least wait a bit longer than two fucking months!!!
Damian Rey
09-21-2011, 06:42 PM
I'd say at least until Mania. Laurenitis is obviously being built up as a huge player in this whole conspiracy angle, and having McMahon come out around Mania time, when the angle would seemingy begin building towards its climax, would be the right way to go.
Then again, can they really keep it going that long?

A promotion that stresses the spirit of competition, where you can check your personality at the door, because intensity, respect and honor is the name of the game here. So let's discuss the upcoming television show where WRESTLING truly matters!

Vince needs a proper holiday, whilst his constant work ethic is admirable, it would appear he needs to sit on a beach doing nothing for a while. He has earned billions of dollars in his lifetime, its not like he hasnt earnt a break. Plus he could discover the real world if he stepped away completely for a while.

tmz has reported that Dolph Ziggler is not injured from the punch by Hugh Jackman..... So tmz is reporting that WRESTLING IS FAKE!!!!
From PWInsider:
WWE sent out a survey to select fans on their mailing list today, gauging their interest in a potential cooking show starring The Big Show and his wife, Bess. I would assume this is a potential series for the WWE Network that will be launched next year, but could also see this as a concept being pitched to one of their network partners.
The concept of the show, according to the survey:
"How do you handle a hungry man? Just ask Bess Wight. Her husband is Paul “The Big Show” Wight, WWE Superstar and the world’s largest athlete! “Show” is seven feet tall and 425 pounds…
Bess is bodacious, beautiful, and one big time cook! And if you think The Big Show is tough, you haven’t met his wife! Bess and Show are about to give viewers an all-access pass into the controlled chaos that is their kitchen.
You’ll meet their friends, their families, and even some of Big Show’s fellow WWE Superstars – you never know who will stop by their house to whip up something delicious! Once you see this larger than life couple in the kitchen, we know you’ll be hungry for more!"

Contains SD results, but it looks like they're starting to ease Danielson into a frustrated gimmick. He may indeed snap in the next few months. Just hoping it makes TV.
Guessing the motherfucker loses...which means I'm out of Survivor already :(
Loved it how Michael and Josh teamed up against Booker during the Air Boom - Usos match.
Is it me or is Randy Orton really bad at breaking tables?

I hope that, like most things, it ends with him going heel.

I hope Daniel Bryan turns into an evil gothic vampire character named "Last Blood".
:shifty:
Hey, it would be way more entertaining than Bryan's current character.

I just wish he would go away to be honest. He is a great wrestler, but a horrid sports entertainer.
Daniel Bryan looks bigger now.

This promo proves he'd fit in fine if he were in the right gimmick. They hold him back on the mic and as a character. No one can watch this and honestly claim that Daniel Bryan has no potential to be a decent character, at the very least on a mid card level.

No one DID watch this
No, but seriously, I was more interested in seeing Cole get his ass kicked in this promo to be honest. This also could have been anyone out there talking like that to Cole and it would have drawn a reaction. The MITB was completely wasted on this guy in my opinion. Unless they are planning on him to lose, which in ths case would be perfect.

I never understand some peoples constant 'need' for every single wrestler to have charisma. Not everyone can shout like the Rock, not everyone can be quick witted like CM Punk, and not everyone can freestyle rap like Cena. That's why we have a mixture. People like Cena deliver the goods in entertainment, whilst people like Bryan deliver the goods in the ring.
I like Daniel Bryan, and I don't have any problems with his 'character', if he even has one at the moment. He's a wrestler. Pure and simple. What more does he need to do?
Danielson has charisma, though. In the ring, he conveys emotion, he can keep people entertained and drawn into the match. Out of the ring, he CAN work the mic a lot better than they let on. No, not on a John Cena level, but on a level that is good enough for WWE, I feel. More than enough for the midcard at the very least.
As for why some people need wrestlers to have charisma (and by charisma, I'm going by the wide used definition in terms of mic and acting skills and that intangible "it" and NOT in-ring charisma), honestly, it's what sells. Blandy McBland isn't going draw people in, people aren't going to be able to relate to them. They aren't conveying enough of the right emotion to sell a gimmick or an angle. He can be awesome in the ring on a technical standpoint, but if no one gives a shit about him, on a national, WWE-level scale, it doesn't matter.
Danielson I feel is a bad example in this, because people misconstrue his booking for being a bad "entertainer". And trolls aside, you can't really blame them.
Apparently wrestling really is an art form according to WWE.com. I think we all have an apology to make to Clox.

I'd take this with a grain of salt. The commentators were mentioning the possibility of Vince McMahon taking back over his duties leading up to Punk vs. Triple H. Although Matt Striker did downplay it when I heard Jack Korpela bring it up.
Either way, that's a shitty way to go with the angle.

Yeah. Wasn't enough to actually get me to watch the show.
From PWInsider:
WWE updated their Key Performance Indicators. The preliminary buyrate is only 301,000 buys, WAY below the 2010 buyrate. Based on the breakdown, the buyrate looks to be 174,000 in North America and 127.000 from International markets.
In 2010, the PPV drew 350,00 buys. In 2009, the PPV drew 369,000 buys.
Edit: This is for SummerSlam.

Hate Santino being in character in this. Otherwise I'm enjoying it.
Also, liked how Punk said he wished they could do more angles today like the snake bite angle.
