Also, the running speculation about "what's different" about Maryse is lacking the super obvious observation of her being significantly less orange now. She's still not my cup of tea, (kinda for the same reason GDN said) but she actually looks more human now and less cartoony.

Was so upset with Steve Austin putting over Stephanie so hard on his podcast this week with Wade Keller. She has certain talents, but is such an unbelievably selfish performer that it takes away any positive she can offer. Nobody is allowed to get over because it may steal Steph's thunder (unless you are Roman Reigns, then you can accidentally spear her).
I don't know why she needs to be ALL OVER the show, let the product be fun, you don't need to cast your stench in every single fucking storyline.

Eric "Enzo Amore" Arndt suffered a severe concussion according to those close to him.
Arndt was injured in the early moments of the Enzo & Cass vs. Vaudevillains tag team match. He was sliding under the bottom rope but he got caught in the ropes with his head hitting the middle rope and the back of his head hit the mat near the apron. He rolled to the floor. Simon Gotch grabbed him when he shouldn't have but the match was quickly stopped and he was carried to the back on a stretcher and rushed to a local hospital where he underwent a CAT Scan.
He was able to remember everything before the match and able to move his extremeties.
He was discharged from the hospital before the show was over.
Update to recent Enzo injury news
Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Ryback is currently in the midst of trademark battle with WWE over “The Big Guy” … and the issue has only continued to escalate less than 24 hours after he was sent home from Monday Night RAW.
According to the USPTO … Ryan Reeves, a.k.a. Ryback, filed a trademark on “The Big Guy” back in October for “conducting entertainment exhibitions in the nature of performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.” However, WWE filed the exact same trademark just 3 months later.
Reeves’ filing was published for opposition this morning — which means any contending sides have 30 days to fight the filing or it’s his — but this doesn’t necessarily means Reeves pulled the trigger.
It’s possible WWE had their legal team push the USPTO to publish so they could oppose. It could also just be a random coincidence.
So Dave Meltzer said that Ryback had a meeting regarding a new contract (the current one is expiring in few months) with HHH or Vince. Ryback didn't like their offer, and apparently the discussion ended with Vince suggesting him going home. Unless there is a reconciliation, that's it. He is going to be paid for the rest of his contract. Dave said the CM Punk entrance and the "pre-show stopper" thing are signs that he is clearly not happy with his current situation. Meltzer said there are speculations of him going to NJPW, but they already have Michael Elgin, who has a very similar style.
Ryback was originally scheduled for Battle Royal on Raw.
The first show of the so-called new era, with Shane and Stephanie McMahon running Raw led to a ratings increase to 3.43 million viewers, coming the day after Payback.
The number was up 10 percent from the seasonal record low of 3.12 million viewers set last week ...
The three hours of Raw were:
8 p.m. 3.46 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.46 million viewers
10 p.m. 3.38 million viewers
Besides the increase from last week, the 3rd hour drop being very small was also good news for this week. Could be a possible sign the past few weeks have managed to get crowds interested again or just a very boring day yesterday since RAW and the NBA playoff games were the only shows to do 3+ million for viewers.
The whole thing is that they want him to be the guy that does charity work. So the new gimmick is that everyone loves to boo him, they really like him, but they love to boo him. I am not saying it is true, in fact this is absolutely not true, but that is how they are attempting to position the fact that people are booing him. The positioning is not that "oh, he didn't get over", the positioning is that "oh, everyone is having so much fun booing him", because we like to boo him. That is what they are trying to potray.
In regards to their current stance with Reigns and crowds.
Hulk Hogan aka Terry Bollea has filed a second lawsuit against Gawker, claiming the company was responsible for leaking the contents of a sealed document which led to the end of his relationship with WWE.
Bollea's side has claimed that Gawker was responsible for leaking the contents of the tape of Hogan's racist remarks to The National Enquirer, which published them. When the WWE was informed that the remarks were coming out, they immediately severed all ties with Hogan and tried to remove most of the mentions of Hogan from its web site, including his name from their Hall of Fame ...
Hogan is also suing Florida DJ Mike Calta, known as Cowhead, who he claimed sent at least one of the secretly recorded sex tapes to Gawker.
Prosecutors in the Jimmy Snuka homicide case involving Nancy Argentino are asking the judge to force the wrestlers' lawyer to hand over a psychologist's report before a hearing next week to determine if Snuka is competent to stand trial. According to the Allentown Morning Call, Chief Deputy Attorney Charles Gallagher wrote that he has repeatedly asked attorney Robert J. Kirwan to share Dr. Frank M. Dattillo's report and that Kirwan has refused to turn it over. Kirwan told Gallagher, "No, your expert should be able to complete his evaluation without copying off my expert," according to the motion filed. Snuka is due back in court on 5/13 where Judge Kelly Banach will hear from mental health experts before deciding whether Snuka is competent to stand trial.
The market was not thrilled with WWE's new attempt at increasing revenue by reducing sign-ins on the Network as WWE stock fell 72 cents today, down to 16.89. For comparison, the NYSE Composite Index fell to 10,365.82 which was a price decrease of 130.50 points or 1.24%.
They pretty much saw right through WWE's sneaky attempt at artificially boosting Network numbers.
WWE announced today that Shane McMahon would "tell all" in a podcast hosted by Mick Foley on May 23rd, after Raw on the WWE Network.
It's notable that this is the first time Foley has hosted a show of this type on the network, as the shows have usually been hosted by Steve Austin, Chris Jericho or John Layfield.

A recent article from Sports Business Daily hinted a decline or small burst in the live sports tv market is currently happening with lower tier sports (ex. UFC) and sports-like shows (ex. If it lasts for a couple of years, could end up having a negative effect on the next WWE tv contract. http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Journal/Issues/2016/05/02/In-Depth/Media-rights.aspx

Zayn talking about the Nakamura match on Jerichos podcast:
Zayn said that he and Nakamura did not so much as touch prior to their match at NXT TakeOver: Dallas.
"I think I met him literally once. And we've had very parallel careers. He started [at] the same time as me. I think I started two months before him or something. [Him] 14 years, me 14 years. He was in New Japan. I never worked New Japan, so we never worked. We've met maybe once. We never touched and I remember Matt Bloom, who's head of the [WWE Performance Center] now, was saying, 'hey, maybe you guys want to get in the PC and spar a little or something like that. I don't want the first time you guys get in the ring ever, the first time you touch, to be at this big match'. And unbeknownst to me, [Nakamura] said the same thing I said, 'no, no, no, I prefer that', which is a dangerous thing, but it's what I know. Yes, I prefer for the first time to be in the show, instead of a 'hey, lets feel it out in the ring' [and] feel how this guy moves and stuff. So we ended up putting something together."

On Tuesday, Ray Leppan (aka WWE's Adam Rose) released the contents of a letter from his doctor on his Twitter account.
He indicated from the account that his second wellness failure suspension was for using Aderall to combat ADHD, a diagnosis his doctor claimed that he made more than one year ago and that Leppan said that WWE officials have known about the entire time.

This week's TNA Impact Wrestling episode, featuring Mike Bennett vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Lashley in the main event, drew 303,000 viewers.
This is down 9% from last week's 332,000 viewers for Sacrifice and the previous week's 312,000 viewers, but up from the 286,000 from the week before that.
Mick Foley noted on Twitter that Steve Austin is not the host for the Shane McMahon podcast on the WWE Network due to a prior obligation.
As noted earlier, Batista was Chris Jericho's guest on a recent episode of the Talk Is Jericho podcast.
During the interview, Batista talked about first starting with WWE and being given the Batista name. He noted that Devon botched his name when he first introduced him and called him "Bastita," so Devon had to re-dub his promo.
He also talked about his gimmick early in his WWE career where he was angry all the time. Batista said that the storyline was supposed to eventually reveal that he was "a rape child," and that he was hateful of everybody because he had no father and his mother was raped.
"That shows you how much the company has changed," Batista said.
While filming Lucha Underground's third season last week, Angelico suffered an injury. SPLX Apparel, which sponsors Angelico as part of their "team" of professional wrestlers, provided the following update on their official website.
"Angélico suffered an injury that resulted in him visiting the hospital whilst filming for Lucha Underground.
The injury suffered a discolated elbow and a fractured radius cup. SPLX’s latest athlete is set to miss 2 months of action.
We met and we talked but it was nothing special. If anything it was just more about our health. We had some more laughs than anything about Ric Flair and stuff like that. Triple H was very cordial to me and treated me like a million bucks. He treated me great and I have no complaints about anything. He treated me really good and so did Stephanie for that matter. With Stephanie I felt that she was honestly or genuinely worried about me when I had the cancer. I think she was just really glad to see me. Maybe it was the same with Triple H. That can never be a bad thing. I sensed a lot of sincerity there on everyone’s part. From Vince down to Triple H to Shane. Shane was very gracious and had some really nice things to say about me that I had forgot about. I was a very protective guy of Shane years ago when he was just a young guy in the business. I looked out for him a lot and I think it was nice for him to tell me that. That he never forgot how much I looked out for him and protected him from a lot of the vices and evils that were lurking about in pro wrestling.
From a recent podcast episode Bret Hart had which also included Vince being the one who suggested the screwjob ending to the Natty-Charlotte match, Bret trying to persuade Vince to do something else instead, and his reaction to the Enzo injury as it happened (though Enzo snapped his neck). http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/705109-bret-hart-on-catching-up-with-triple-h-we-had-more-laughs-than-anything-about-ric-flair-talks-preparing-for-match-with-natalya-more
"Oh man that's a good question. We knew that we were pretty hot when we started getting feelers out from pretty much every company that exists. So we pretty much said to ourselves, 'Hey, let's accept an offer,' because at this point in time, we were pretty burnt out doing the independent schedule that was pretty much nuts. We were doing triple shots literally every weekend. Flying out of Los Angeles Thursday night, getting home Monday morning. So it wasn't much time at home at all so we figured, 'Hey, let's sign somewhere where we could make some good money, but in the meantime spend the time with our families, you know?' With that being said, Ring of Honor came up to us with a deal that we pretty much couldn't refuse. They also said, 'Hey, we know New Japan is about part of your career. We'll keep that on the table as well as PWG.' That was pretty much set in stone, we said, 'Alright, this feels like what's right.' It was the best offer financially that we were given, that was on the table, so we figured let's try it out for a year and see what's up. We're what, five months in?"

Another aspect is that Reigns is also working as a babyface, but the crowds hate him. Going against Styles has led to him not just being booed on PPVs and TVs, but now he’s also getting booed more heavily on the house shows. But for all the complaints about this being a sign people don’t want him, the people who boo the loudest pay the most for tickets, and the only thing where McMahon will truly pay attention to people’s voices, the masses not buying tickets, is the one thing that audience that boos the loudest can’t do.
Observer on what it will really take for Vince to change his mind or go in a new direction with Reigns. Previously hinted the WWE is already on full blown Cena mode with Reigns in regards to thinking the crowd is just booing for fun or its good for him to have mixed reactions.
There is also talk of doing a Global Women's tournament on the Network next, as well as continuing the annual Dusty Rhodes tag team tournament in NXT. The women’s tournament will be like the cruiserweight tournament, mixing current talent with non-roster talent in what amounts to tryout matches.
The WWE Global cruiserweight series has been given a name change, to just the Cruiserweight Classic. There may be changes in the taping schedule as well but that isn't official.
On his podcast, Steve Austin said the reason Shane McMahon is doing the WWE's interview with Mick Foley and not himself is that he is rehabbing his right shoulder, where he had recent surgery for a rotator cuff injury as well as a torn labrum and AC joint injury, suffered at WrestleMania match when he was doing the in-ring angle. His arm is currently in a sling for four weeks and said he was going to go to Baltimore to do the interview but felt he didn't want to jeopardize the recovery of the shoulder.
Shinsuke Nakamura’s t-shirt that was released on 5/2 in Japan has already sold out. All sizes sold out in just a few hours. His t-shirts are also among the best-selling items on WWEShop.com behind The New Day’s “Booty-O” shirts. That’s very impressive when you consider that Nakamura’s TV exposure is limited to WWE Network programming.
WWE’s upcoming tour of Japan in July sold out within 5 minutes. Nakamura and Asuka will be wrestling on those shows.
His official theme “The Rising Sun” was the first WWE theme to reach 1 million views on YouTube. As of this writing, the theme is approaching 1.5 million YouTube views. At one point, the song was listed as the number 1 soundtrack on the iTunes charts.
Regarding Eric Young on NXT last night, he hasn't signed a deal with WWE as of yet.
After the NXT tapings on Thursday of last week, Paul Levesque introduced Sean Hayes as the new strength and conditioning coach. Hayes was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Houston Texans. He replaces Matt Wichlinski who has been in that position for a few years and whose name came up in some talent complaints during the time that Bill DeMott was let go. Hayes is best known for doing an impersonation of Randy Savage last year which aired on the HBO TV show Hard Knocks.
Randy Orton, who has been out of action with a shoulder injury since November, is still rehabbing. It’s said that his rehab is coming much slower than expected, but he is recovering from the injury. Orton is expected to start training in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center soon for his comeback in mid-June.
Orton spoke to AfterBuzz TV last month and commented on the injury.
“I had a match October (12) in Chicago. My shoulder got stretched back, and I had a repair 12 years ago that was destroyed. I had a little pain, got an MRI and was told (they) had to fix my shoulder again,” Orton explains. “I had a new guy do it and had a stabilization done that they do to rugby players get, and they’re some tough customers.
“I still have 5-10 years left, but who knows? I feel like I’m nowhere near done.”
Naomi disclosed via Twitter today that she has been rehabbing a torn tendon in her ankle:

Given the current situation with Ryback and WWE, this might get interesting. Ryback in October last year applied to trademark "The Big Guy" while WWE initiated their own application in January this year. Ryback's application is closer to being finalized, being in the "published to be opposition" phase.
Update to the trademark dispute between Ryback and the WWE.
Overnight, WWE star Adam Rose pulled all of his Twitter postings about his WWE Wellness Policy suspension last month.
Rose had initially written on Twitter that he wanted the truth behind his suspension to be made public, even if it was at the cost of his own job, because he wanted his sons, when they were old enough, to know what had happened and not assume the worst about him when it came to drugs.
Rose later published a note from his Doctor, which stated he was being treated for adult ADHD and prescribed Adderall and that the prescription was following all "proper protocol." Rose wrote that WWE was aware for over a year that he was taking the prescribed medication.
Rose was suspended for 60 days, his second violation of the company's policy. WWE has not commented on Rose's suspension beyond initially announcing it.
AUX reports that several pro wrestling related items were among the items found in Prince's secret vault.
One was a Morris Day-narrated documentary on WWE Hall of Famer Koko B. Ware.
Another project was titled Bockwinkel, perhaps after the WWE Hall of Famer Nick Bockwinkel. It was described as an "unreleased hard rock project" with Bob Mould, who was a huge wrestling fan and worked as a WCW writer at one point.
Prince also had a project called The Undertaker, which may not be related to the WWE Superstar. This was described as a "frequently bootlegged live-in-the-studio performance notable for a Rolling Stones cover."
We were told that there’s been a lot of talk within WWE lately, between talents and not publicly, about how a popular veteran is partying too much. We have heard a name from two sources and don’t feel comfortable revealing it at this point, but may if something changes.
The behavior has gotten so bad that it’s affecting his in-ring work, according to those talking, and some have talked privately about not wanting to work with the veteran anymore.
It’s interesting that there’s been some talk from fans this year about how this same WWE Superstar has “phoned it in” during some of his recent matches and feuds.
Being speculated online it might be either Jericho or Alberto Del Rio assuming any of it is actually true.

If Jericho is "phoning it in", he is doing a damn good job while doing so.
I dunno, I mentioned in the mania thread how in all his matches with Styles, Jericho seemed a half step behind. Like he couldn't keep up. So all the intricate moves and counters they did looked a little awkward.
He's still Jericho, so the matches were still good, but everything lacked the fluidity that you would expect from these two, and that kept it from being great.
Also could explain Jericho's beer gut, although that could also just be age catching up.

Rusev has been the stand-out of League of Nations, by far. He seems like a logical choice for next US Champion.
There's a stable called League of Nations?
Now that's silly.
Also, how is AJ Styles main eventing already?
I'm not saying he's a bad wrestler, but he just started out in the WWE. Seems odd.

Yeah, they did have someone using that name. His real name is Quinn Ojinnaka or something like that. He used to play in the NFL but has been working really hard on becoming a good professional wrestler.

WWE released at least eight performers today: Wade Barrett, Hornswoggle, Cameron, Alex Riley, Zeb Colter, El Torito, Santino Marella, and Damien Sandow. As per usual, most of these performers had not been used on TV much lately, except in a few cases. Wade Barret had already made it known that he was not going to re-sign in June when his current contract expired. Hornswaggle had not been used at all in many months especially after his wellness policy failure and suspension.
Observer hinting the domestic market for all of the recently released won't be as good as in past years due to the bigger companies having full rosters or money problems and the smaller ones not making good money these days. Also Pro Wrestling Sheet teased there are more names set to be announced for the roster cleaning.
Just a few hours after several WWE talents were released, two of those talents are already booked for Global Force Wrestling/WrestlePro shows.
Hornswoggle and Zeb Colter have both been announced for the June 11 show in Keyport, New Jersey. You can check out the announcements from Global Force Wrestling below. Hornswoggle will be using the name 'Swoggle.'
Promoter of WrestlePro already hinted at the possibility of doing a WeeLC match with Swoogle for the show.
Former NXT Tag Team champion Wesley Blake is out with a MCL injury.
WWE's hottest group The Injured Guys stable claimed a new member
Tamina underwent an undisclosed operation this past week and is back out of action.
Bobby Roode was briefly advertised for the NXT UK tour by the WWE's Twitter this morning, but the tweet was later pulled.
While not official, the belief is that both Roode and Eric Young will be signed and officially part of the NXT roster soon ...
Young wrestled Samoa Joe on this week's NXT TV show, losing clean in the middle to Joe's choke sleeper. He hadn't signed a deal but the feeling was it was a tryout of sorts, and he did well enough in the match and on the microphone that it was expected he'd end up with a deal.
Young had done an interview with Niagara This Week claiming that he was working on a deal, but that it wasn't signed and sealed yet.
The 5/5 episode of Smackdown did 2,346,000 viewers, up from last week's 2,109,000 viewers.
TMZ found Stephanie McMahon and asked her if Chyna was going to go into the WWE Hall of Fame. Triple H, when asked about this on the Stone Cold Podcast last year, basically shot the idea down, saying it was a double-edged sword because she had contributed so much to the business, but at the same time if some 8-year-old heard she went into the Hall of Fame and didn't know who she was, they might Google her and come across all sorts of unsavory material. Well, Steph, on the spot with a TMZ camera in her face, said there was no denying the contributions she had made to the business and of course she was going to be inducted. Hunter has also softened his stance since her passing so it appears a lock she will be going in.

The planned deal for AAA to return to PPV in North America looks like it's not happening. Court Bauer, who brokered both that deal and AAA's deal with The Fight Network, is cutting his ties with both AAA and Lucha Underground at the end of the month. With his being gone, the PPV deal for the World Cup and TripleMania this year is off. The belief is the 6/5 show from Los Palacios del Deportes in Mexico City will air on iPPV.
The situation for Mexico's AAA is getting pretty dire with some speculation the company might end up folding or collapsing within the near future. Would be a huge hit to Lucha Underground if it does happen (or AAA continued struggling problems).
Angelico’s injury suffered when he did a springboard move and landed badly on his elbow, was a dislocated elbow and fractured radius cup. He is expected to be out of action for about two months.
Update on Angelico's injury from last week's Season 3 tapings for Lucha Underground.
Priscilla Kelly, who managed Scorpio Sky in a dark match at last week’s tapings, is a 19-year-old reality TV star from “My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding” which airs on TLC. We’re told WWE is aware of her, but right now they have an unwritten rule about not hiring women until they get to be 20 years old.
When ROH COO Joe Koff was on The Ross Report this past week, he mentioned that there has been internal discussion about the television show expanding to two hours. He also said he was open to a deal if WWE wanted to license the company’s archives for the network or for features since a lot of the talent came through ROH.
TNA is attempting to restructure the contracts of all or at least most of the key talent to where they are in control of all their bookings. This is likely a move to have everyone under exclusive deals that they control the schedule of as part of a sale. A lot of the top guys who worked heavy indie schedules and were names coming in have deals where they are under contract to TNA but they book themselves on their off days. The newer contracts with the guys most recently signed put TNA in charge of booking their non-TNA dates. The new deals are for significant money, as they would have to be when you figure that the Hardys, just as an example, can do several thousand dollars a night on a good night in indies between their pay and photo and merchandise money and their trans and hotels are taken care of. Others with names also do well with outside bookings and don’t want to give it up so it’s not an easy decision. The speculation is they want everyone exclusive so they can use that as asset value in the sale.
Whether that means if/when the big deal is consummated that the promotion will be looking at doing a regular house show schedule would make sense, but that’s all speculation and details of negotiations are being kept very quiet. Obviously the people involved have been asking questions as to why the deals are attempting to be restructured and not really gotten answers nor is anyone being told what the sale situation is. Although at least one person was told that when all was said and done when it came to the acquiring of a new investor/owner, the claim was that Dixie Carter and John Gaburick would still be in control. They are also back to offering some fairly significant money deals to those not with the company, similar to what they were doing a few months back.
More on the incident with Ric Flair after tapings on 4/27 at Logan International Airport in Boston, according to Massachusetts State police spokesperson Dave Procopio, is that Flair was waiting to board a Delta flight when he tripped and hit his head on a metal stanchion. State Troopers and an EMT were called and he received medical attention for a cut on his head and was told to rest for a short time. He missed a flight but was booked on the next flight. This was a major story for a day, but ended up being a non-story once the police officers stated that he wasn’t drunk. Flair had an incredible amount of heat on him because the company hates talent being in TMZ, which gave the impression he was drunk and Flair has been in trouble in the past after the situation at the 2013 SummerSlam video game conference interview. The night before Flair used the line “kill yourself” to Natalya at the Smackdown tapings, but since it was a taped show, they edited it out. When the story first broke, there was a lot of talk about what to do because the company doesn’t like TMZ stories that claim talent was drunk, particularly with Ric’s back story. But by later in the afternoon everything was fine, basically once the police reports came out that said he wasn’t drunk and had just tripped and hit his head, it became a non-story.
The latest on the Jimmy Snuka homicide case regarding the 1983 death of Nancy Argentino is that Judge Kelly Banach will hear from mental health experts on 5/13 before deciding whether Snuka is competent to stand trial. If the decision is that Snuka, 72, is not mentally fit for trial, the case could be stalled indefinitely. Some defendants who are declared mentally incompetent for trial are sent to a mental hospital until competence is re-established, but I don’t know would happen in this case. Snuka’s attorney Robert Kirwan, claimed Snuka suffers from post-concussion syndrome and doesn’t understand what he’s being accused of, and that he has trouble remembering the names of family members and didn’t recognize his attorney. Prosecutor Charles Gallagher claimed that Snuka’s mental health was talked about during the grand jury process and detectives with him saw no signs he was mentally impaired. Kirwan refused to share the report from Dr. Frank Dattilio that the defense made regarding Snuka’s mental competency.
Ten days later, Vince called again. He warned me that he was about to tell me something that would make me really angry: Hogan was flat-out refusing to put me over, saying I wasn’t in his league. Vince had decided that Yoko would be getting the belt instead. I couldn’t believe that Hogan would do this to me. I remembered him shaking my hand at WrestleMania IX, and telling me he’d be happy to return the favor. Vince said he’d have one more meeting with Hogan to try to sell him on it, but if he didn’t go for it, I’d work with Lawler at SummerSlam -instead.
Hogan didn’t go for it. I wanted to believe that Vince hadn’t told me the whole story, and I made up my mind to confront Hogan as soon as he’d dropped the belt to Yoko. I’d wait till then, because it didn’t seem right for me to change Yoko’s destiny.
I showed up in the dressing room for King of the Ring in a dark mood and promptly drew a blackboard cartoon of Beefcake with his face buried in Hogan’s ass cheeks with a caption that read, “Be careful, Brutus, you don’t want to loosen the screws in your face . . . speaking of screws . . .” I was taking my frustration out on Beefcake, which wasn’t right, but I was too pissed off to know it at the time.

Really weird how heavily Michael Cole emphasized New Japan on RAW. Do you think that maybe we'll see some sort of talent trade between them? There are some guys that could use a working holiday to get some extra things down and freshen up their North American presence. Doubt it since NJPW likely is still upset and feeling the sting from the recent raid by the WWE although ROH could be a big key if it were to ever happen. I had this dream of TNA bringing in a whole bunch of WWE guys and somehow staying alive.
* Tyler Breeze got released from the WWE and becoming "Tyler Swift" in TNA. His finishing move became "The Swift Kick" (a superkick) and he beat James Storm in his first night and then set his sights on the X-Division Title. He'd win the title and get a long run, while Trevor Lee would feud with Shane Helms, who was pissed off that Lee let Swift beat him.
* Damien Sandow got signed and became "Aaron Sandow." He was really popular, but he sort of played a heel where he said he'd only perform at the PPV if they found him a high calibur opponent.
* Stu Bennett came in using his real name and announced that he'd be the special enforcer of the World Title match at Slammiversary, to make sure no shenanigans go down.
* Kevin Kiley worked one match against D'Angelo Dinero, and lost to him with the commentary position on the line.

Who is that they beat down?

They first beat down Johnny Gargano, who is of course with NXT. Then Drew Gulak and TJ Perkins who qualified for the WWE Cruiserweight Classic ran out and got beaten down.

Pretty interesting angle from Gabe. A lot of what has made EVOLVE feel somewhat "flat" over the years, compared to early ROH anyway, is the lack of storylines that just make you want to bite down. ROH would present a lot of these through in-ring stories and not so much your traditional "angles," eg. Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk going Broadway, the general in-ring focus of the promotion, etc. But they'd occasionally do a Raven vs. Punk, which was tremendous.
I might be wrong, but this feels like it might be the first big "angle" since EVOLVE has started. EC3 is definitely a guy I see ending up back in the WWE at some point. He's really worked hard to become better in the ring and is now completely three-dimensional. Plus he's got a tremendous look.
Tremendous.

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa vs. Michael Hutter & Drew McIntyre in NXT could be pretty cool. I'm fairly certain they're gearing up Gargano & Ciampa to challenge American Alpha with Ciampa possibly turning on Gargano, but I also thought they were obviously gearing up for Carmella to turn on Enzo & Cass and side with Blake & Murphy.

Random thought: I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Kurt Angle align himself with this EC3 and Drew Galloway pairing in EVOLVE. A lot of people fantasize about the potential American Alpha relationship, but I feel that it'd be too Team Angle circa 2003. Angle with EC3 and Galloway would put him with two guys who are very different from him, lend them credibility, and he can rant about how his importance to WWE has been downplayed by the company.
Not a fully developed thought, but I'm throwing it out there because, fuck you, that's why.

The "New Era" ended up not being a positive factor in the ratings, as last night's Raw did 3.23 million viewers, down six percent from last week. It was the second lowest for a show outside of football season since 1997.
The combination of coming the day after a PPV and the first Stephanie & Shane McMahon show last week did 3.43 million viewers. The modern era low for a show outside of football season or a major holiday was 3.12 million viewers set two weeks ago ...
The three hours were:
8 p.m. 3.35 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.36 million viewers
10 p.m. 3.01 million viewers
Good/Bad News regarding the numbers. The good being another week in a row where the 3rd hour drop isn't really bad and the bad being the other two hours being weaker which caused the actual drop this week. Currently averaging around half a million less viewers than Seth was averaging when he was the top champion for comparisons.

Vince McMahon and George Barrios were on the conference call today where WWE announced that profits were up, though that may be misleading. Today, WWE announced a profit increase up to 13.9 million in 2016 compared to 9.8 million in 2015. However, revenue actually decreased. In 2016 for quarter 1, WWE revenue was 171 million down from the 176.2 million from quarter 1 in 2015.
The difference maker? You guessed it: WrestleMania. Wrestlemania 32 fell in quarter 2 this year, and landed in quarter 1 last year. No mention of the current network subscription number since they covered that on the call after WrestleMania. There was also no mention as to how good WrestleMania did this year.
Reports of Mania doing between 900k to 1.2 million buys this year got debunked by the Observer who stated the WWE only said numbers Mania used to do and not the atcual range for this year. Since the WWE didn't want to reveal actual Mania numbers, could be another year where the event itself actually lost money.

New WWE paperwork filed with the SEC reveals that Triple H signed a new three-year wrestler's deal on May 9th. This indicates that he is planning on wrestling through WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
Triple H's previous performer's deal expired at the end of March and this new deal will automatically renew unless they terminate it for any reason.
The next day, December 4, Heyman and McMahon among those flying to Charleston, South Carolina, Heyman pitched opening the December 5 ECW show with Ariel and Kelly in a match, telling viewers interviews with Lashley, Van Dam, and Punk were going on right then and would be seen later in the show. McMahon didn’t like the idea, fearing fans in the arena would chant for Punk. Heyman asked why that was a bad thing, as it showed the fans cared about someone on the flagging ECW show. McMahon reportedly threw his glasses on the floor and shouted, “Get this through your thick fucking head—my focus is on Bobby Lashley and only Bobby Lashley! That man is the brand's icon, the brand's superhero. He is ECW and he will be, at the expense of Rob Van Dam, CM Punk, Test, and everyone else, and you can hit the door if don't like it!”

Next week’s Edge & Christian show is the season finale. It airs after Raw on the WWE Network.
"I’d say that to me professional wrestling today has mostly little people in it. I don’t see any real big men anymore. Very few anyway. The ones that are in it aren’t used properly. Like Mark Henry. It just seems to me, and I don’t mean to disrespect anyone in the business. A lot of guys are working really hard. I miss seeing some of the big guys. When you talk about getting rid of a Wade Barrett. Guys like Mark Henry are seeing less and less time on TV."
"It seems like the wrestlers they’re all little jumping bean guys. They’re all Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels kind of smaller guys. I was 230 pounds. I think I was bigger, a little bit bigger, in mass than some of these guys today. There’s so many guys that have the same stats. Six feet tall, five-eleven, one hundred and eighty five or ninety pounds. Dolph Ziggler. They do a million high spots. They’re in great, phenomenal shape. They all look the same. They all got rock hard abs. They all look like swimmers."
"I miss the guys that would go out there that looked like Nikolai Volkoff. Or somebody that looks like Don Leo Jonathan or Mad Dog Vachon. Where’s the big guys? Where’s the King Kong Bundys? Who’s hiding all the King Kong Bundys in the world? Where did they go?"
Bret Hart's opinion on WWE's new era and the roster in general these days.
More stuff with the WWF as they continue to explode. Now it seems that there’s going to be a Saturday morning cartoon featuring Hulk Hogan and his friends. Now, Dave makes an interesting point here about Wrestlemania, which kind of shoots down the main legend about the show before it even happens. He notes that with the kind of money infusion that the WWF is getting from the one-two punch of deals with both CBS and NBC, even if the house show business tanks they’ll still have so much cash on hand that they can easily survive for years off the network TV deal alone. So the idea that Wrestlemania was going to break the company if it failed is ridiculous, because just two weeks before that show they signed a pair of (likely) million dollar deals with major networks, PLUS the shit that goes down with Crockett at the end of the month was worth another million. They weren’t going anywhere, Wrestlemania or no Wrestlemania ...
And finally, Dave finishes with a note that two years ago, Mr. T approached Verne Gagne with an idea very similar to what will happen on that closed circuit show on 3/31, and Verne turned him down because “wrestling doesn’t operate that way.” And there’s your metaphor for the day.

Roman's the first "face of the WWE" to wrestle with gear that covers most of his upper body.
You can't fight Samoan genetics. Belive that.
Ulnless you're the Rock or 95% of Samoan rugby players I have seen. Roman's dropped a lot of weight and if you look at his face NOW compared to that picture he is obviously in much better shape.

I found most of his career was making chicken salad out of chicken shit. Well The Rock's father was ripped to fuck so I wasn't totally surprised he looked the way he did. One of my friends actually tried doing the Rock's Hercules diet for a while and he just couldn't stand all the white rice and bland meats lol.
I'm kinda surprised Vince hasn't made Roman wrestle shirtless though. I think they wanted him to keep the Shield gear and theme to seem cool at first but it'd be nice to give him his own "identity".
Ambrose's gear is fine as it is, he's so lanky he shouldn't ever wrestle without a shirt.

You can add former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Christian to the list of WWE talents that have been released in the past week. His release has nothing to do with his agreement to do The Edge & Christian Show and is more of a technicality do to him no longer having an active performer’s contract. Christian received a concussion in March 2014 and WWE then decided to stop using him due to his history with concussions.

A.J. Styles is off the weekend WWE house shows due to an injury. He was holding his back on Raw and he's had back problems dating back months although it is not confirmed it was a back injury. Style was working the Carolinas run with shows on Friday night in Greenville, Saturday night in Raleigh and Sunday in Columbia. I expect he'll be at Raw in Greensboro since it's the go-home show for Extreme Rules.
This week’s episode of Lucha Underground on El Rey hit a low for the season. Wednesday’s episode brought in 96,000 viewers and a 0.02 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic, down 30% and 0.01 from last week’s 138,000 viewers and 0.03 demo rating. It is the first time the show fell under 100,000 viewers since the February 24th episode, the second of the season, did 99,000 viewers. The previous demographic rating low was a 0.03 that it landed on last week and on March 2nd and 16th.
When factoring the replay's numbers, the decline isn't as harsh since it would be just around 3k less than last week. Replay did around 81k for viewers.
According to PWInsider, another round of cuts is expected to be announced after the May 22nd Extreme Rules pay-per-view. WWE usually announces releases on Friday, which means they could announce the next set as soon as May 27th unless they decide to wait.
We've also been heard rumors of another surprising WWE release, a women's star and one who would be considered a top Superstar. It was noted that "stays of execution" are always possible for some talents who go through late negotiations but it sounds like officials already know who will be getting cut.
One of the main reasons for the cuts happening now is because the WWE is preparing another big wave of signings soon. The ring announcer for Lucha Underground is rumored to be one of those the WWE wants a lot.
Someone from WWE sent this out as a guide for women looking to either get in or get into the planned women's tournament where outside talent will be used and it becomes something of a tryout:
*Stop gigging on indie shows.
*Get in your best shape possible
*Start working on promos
Current plans have Brock Lesnar staying off WWE TV until August, likely to build for a match at the August 21st SummerSlam pay-per-view from Brooklyn. WWE originally talked about having Lesnar face Bray Wyatt or Braun Strowman for his next match but that was before officials changed their mind on plans for Strowman's push. Strowman was originally planned for a big push and to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32 but his push was halted after bad reactions to the RAW match with Dean Ambrose and bad reactions to reports of Strowman facing Lesnar or The Undertaker. No word yet on who Lesnar will be facing for his next feud.
Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks was injured in the first Young Bucks match last night in Toronto. He was scheduled in the team ROH vs. Bullet Club main event at last night's fourth hour of the tapings but wasn't able to wrestle. It is believed to be a broken rib, but that isn't official. He is most likely off Saturday's ROH show in New York.
Impact did 280,000 viewers on Tuesday night, which is the lowest number since they have only had one airing on Tuesdays.
The WWE Network has added more than 100 episodes of Smackdown from 2000 to 2002 billed as the rise of the McMahon-Helmsley era.
Also among the shows added was the Eddie Guerrero RAW Tribute Show.
EVOLVE announced today that their 6/11 return to Orlando, Florida will be titled "The WWE Cruiserweight Classic Flashpoint" as something as a preview to the tournament. WWE has plugged this event already online, so it's being presented in conjunction with them. Announced as appearing thus far are Johnny Gargano, TJP with Stokely Hathaway, Drew Gulak and Lince Dorado. All are confirmed for the Cruiserweight Classic tournament. Drew Galloway vs. Ethan Page in an Anything Goes Match is also set for that show. EC3 will also be in action on that event.
The WWE Network is developing a new series titled "Behind the Curtain" that would take a documentary-style look at different stories from pro wrestling history. Some of the topics that have been discussed for the series are the plane crash Ric Flair was in, Bruiser Brody's murder in Puerto Rico in 1987, and Gorgeous George's career.
Internally, the belief is that Ryback will not be back and that he is done once his contract expires in late July. According to a source, there has been no communication between the two sides since Ryback went home.
Jim Ross has an excellent take on the Adam Rose situation that should be read at www.JrsBarBQ.com. In the blog entry, Ross notes the importance of pro wrestlers having a Plan B and wondered how much of the situation might be from stress of not knowing what will happen with Rose and his family given the WWE suspension situation, whether he could remain in the States (he's from South Africa) without that job, etc. It's a good read and brings to light a lot that hasn't been mentioned in the Rose discussion over the last 24 hours.
Joe Belcastro is the new head writer for NXT working under Paul Levesque, and is also working with him on the Cruiserweight Classic and was also involved in the pilot of the NXT Kids show. He replaced Ryan Ward, who did a great job with the show. Ward is now exclusive to Raw and Smackdown. Belcastro, 35, did some writing for the Tampa Tribune and grew up as a wrestling fan. He approached WWE for a writing job after college in 2008 and was turned down. He wrote for the local newspaper and did movie reviews for online entertainment websites and a friend with a WWE connection got him another interview in 2013. He was hired, even though he had never written a script in his life. Evidently during his interview they liked how he discussed storylines and building layers to them.
Lucha Underground are taping through June, and the idea is to finish 100 episodes, which is a number that foreign distributors like to sell. One of the reasons there is a hold up on house shows is the feeling from the people running the company that Lucha Underground has to run in a venue that looks like the Temple, which rules out major arenas, or at least have a traveling that would look similar. At least that was the idea a few months ago. Right now there are no plans for live shows. It’s not a lock they would be a success, as NXT is hot by today’s standards and hot means doing 1,000 to 2,000 people at big shows and 150 to 450 at small shows.
Regarding Shane McMahon, the original plan was for him to be involved only through WrestleMania, but the reaction he got and the way tickets moved once his match was announced led to the idea of keeping him as a weekly television character and this post-Mania feud with Stephanie.

They should do a heel Cody/Eden vs. heel Miz/Maryse feud
One, Cody and Eden would likely not remain heel during said feud. People are that predisposed to hate Miz. Besides, Miz is not good at being a face, and excels at being heel. In that way, he's kinda like Shane Douglas.
Two, Cody and Eden seem to play this dynamic up better than anyone I've seen in fairly recent history... this includes Miz and Maryse (I was always a fan of them when they would be antagonistic to eachother onscreen; they were both too stuck up to be bothered with the other even knowing that they're a IRL couple) Booker and Sharmell, Maria and... I forgot her man's name, damn sure better than Matt and Reby (honestly, Reby plays her role better, Matt is just a dead fish in this dynamic), and I'd even argue Hunter and Steph, because even with all the YEARS of promoing as a couple, they always seemed businesslike and not as much like a couple, if that makes sense on what I mean.
Anyway, this should be the start of a stable. Almost Horsemen-like, with Cody as the Flair of the group. And what I mean by Horsemen-like is that "you see one, you see them all" mentality. And they all dress business casual, except Cody, who is always in a suit.
This could also be a shot in the arm for some under appreciated people on the roster. My first thought is Henning* as his AA. Maybe call up Revival as the designated Tag Team. Have feuds with Cody and Eden trying to recruit guys like Zack Ryder, who considers it but ultimately refuse, or a Sami Zayn who refuses outright, so they get jumped starting a program there... leading to a 5 on 5 intergender SS match that Rhodes Industries ends up winning. Underhandedly, I may add.
Even if they were to reintroduced "the artist formerly known as Stardust" as Cody Rhodes, would he be wraslin' in the upper mid-card? I highly doubt that.
That's the thing: he could have been upper mid-card already, and used the transition to be groomed into main event territory. One of those problems with on and off pushes and storylines and letting people fuck off to oblivion after a feud instead of building momentum.

Are you kidding me? Abyss is under the cuffs of a horrible story arch and horrible writing. He does have the ability to cut a great promo, he has it in him, but it's not gonna happen under that gimmick with those partners, in TNA. That segment was like going to a "Haunted House" around Halloween, it was HOAKY and they took it dead ass serious. Steve's delivery was so fucking painful to listen to, he is TRASH. Rosemary is TRASH. Abyss famously says he turned down facing The Undertaker at Wrestlemania at one point, if that is true, which I doubt but if it is then he is one of the biggest idiots in wrestling history. He could have been AWESOME in WWE.
Mike Bennett and Maria are totally WWE quality workers, Mike needs to go through NXT because his promo's are bad, his delivery is great, the content however was pretty bad.
Jeff Hardy is an embarrassment. He's just so lame now, his promo's are hilarious to watch they suck so much, and his performance in the ring was just ... it was just sad.
I saw Bobby Lashley and he came off well but somewhere during this episode I feel asleep.
James Storm, I saw him cut a promo and he was good. Should have signed with NXT, again an idiot.

You said Rosemarry was bad at acting. Honestly I think she's a better at acting than any woman on the WWE roster except Sasha Banks. I will say that that promo seemed to drag on a bit and did feel a little flat. Don't know if that type of gimmick just isn't your style or what but I feel like they pull it off pretty well. Abyss has done a lot in TNA and him being in Decay just seems fresh to me. It's something different than he has ever done and they all seem invested in the gimmick. I don't take it as an attack, just good ole wrestling conversation.

Where the hell did discount Harley Quinn come from, and why is she so bad at literally everything? Did Jeff Hardy get brain damage when he fell and hit his head from the top of a cage a year or so ago? He must have to deliver that terribly... Just dont feel like it was that bad of a promo and have heard a lot worse in WWE. Like I said it was a bit drawn out and don't think everyone of them needed to talk. Tag division has been cursed with injuries and has forced Decay to have a lot more screen time than they really need but I like the group.
I know alot of people don't like TNA but I find the product enjoyable. It's a different feel than WWE that I like. WWE just feels way over produced to me, not a bad thing but I just tend to enjoy TNA , NXT, and ROH more than I do Raw.

Unlike last year's Beast In The East event with Finn Balor having ties to Japanese wrestling, neither Nakamura nor Asuka are the main attractions for the shows. WWE used Nakamura's name to help sell out the shows but decided to not give him top billing status for the actual event.
Pop TV has, effective immediately, dropped the Saturday replay of Impact, so Impact now only airs at 9 p.m. on Thursday night. This is the same pattern that Destination America did with the cutting of shows.
Took Pop TV around the same amount of time to sour on carrying Impact as Destination America did. PWTorch had a report on what a typical episode of Impact makes on average for ad revenue and it turned out to be in the $18k range. http://www.pwtorch.com/site/2016/04/12/pwtorch-report-ad-revenue-points-pop-bumped-impacts-tuesday-night-replay/
On training with Ultimo Dragon: “I am new school, but Ultimo Dragon taught me that wrestling is a fight. He taught me the importance of the fighting spirit in the ring. I started wrestling in Mexico, and then I came to New Japan. I tried to be different. I learned the Mexican style, the Japanese style and the American style. My dropkick is from Mexico, but my fighting spirit is from Japan. The TV and the entertainment is from the U.S., so everything combined. I was a young age, 16 years old, in Mexico. I traveled to these different countries, and I have the new style from Mexico and TNA. I wrestled two years in Florida, then back in Japan, and everything combined for a new style. It’s different. I was looking for old school wrestling that looked new. Dropkicks are old moves, but I wanted to make a new version of an old move.”
On TNA’s mishandling of him: “I learned in TNA that I needed more than just a good match–I needed a character. That’s how I became the “Rainmaker.” It was good for me. TNA didn’t use me, but I got hungrier to wrestle. The struggle made me better. I was always a good wrestler. I feel like I can wrestle anybody. Of course, I wanted to main event wrestling matches in TNA, but in their eyes, no, that would not happen. So I went back to New Japan. I took the timing and technique I learned in the U.S. back with me to Japan. When I was in TNA, somebody told me about the ‘Rainmaker.’ I thought it was a nice character. In Japan, there is no character–it’s fight, fight, fight. So I needed a character. When I was just a strong wrestler, TNA didn’t use me. I didn’t have a character, so I knew I needed one. That’s what the agents in TNA kept telling me, so I made this character and I took it to New Japan.”
On Shinsuke Nakamura signing with WWE: “I was very surprised he left for WWE. I was so surprised, but it’s no problem. That’s what he wanted–he wanted to go. There is more emotion in a match in New Japan. The matches here in the U.S. are so fast that sometime they lack emotion. It is move, move, move. When I lost last year’s Tokyo Dome [at Wrestle Kingdom 9], I almost cried. There is that much emotion, and that is a big difference in style.”

New Japan made an announcement today regarding the Super J Cup, which is not the same as the Super Juniors tournament. The Super Juniors starts 5/21 and is a round-robin tournament. The Super J Cup will be a 16-man multi-promotional single elimination tournament. The first round matches will be 7/18 at Korakuen Hall, which will be eight bouts. The final eight move into a one-night tournament, similar to the old K-1 Grand Prix, on 8/21 at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo. They announced there would be four wrestlers from New Japan, (three regulars and one from Chaos, likely Will Ospreay), five from NOAH (three from NOAH and two from the Suzuki-gun side), plus one wrestler each from All Japan, Okinawa Pro, CMLL, ROH, K-Dojo, Dragon Gate and one more participant.
Rolling Stone has an interview with Damien Sandow talking about his time in the WWE and his release and future plans. He mentioned that is taking select wrestling dates as a "Thank you Tour" to the fans and he is going to start studying Shakespearean acting as most of the offers he has received are for film.

The 5/12 episode of Smackdown did 2,262,000 viewers, down from last week's 2,346,000 viewers.
PWTorch has learned from multiple sources that TNA is behind paying some production workers going back to January and March TV tapings.
After struggling to make payments on-time throughout 2015, TNA handed over the system to the Harris Twins through their production company Aroluxe, payable by TNA. Since then, payments have continued to be late. The situation has especially been exacerbated by TNA leaving their long-time office in Nashville and relocating to the merchandise warehouse.
Also, production workers have been met with resistance when inquiring about payments. PWTorch has also learned that some production workers have been told they will or might be replaced at the next tapings in June, likely in favor of independent production workers who do not have a history of late payments.

Konnan has a new Spanish language YouTube show and he’s been ripping on AAA since the split. He said that AAA keeps its talent through lying, intimidation and fear. Konnan is looking at doing something, but it’s going to be very difficult. Most of the guys in Lucha Underground, such as Jack Evans, Fenix, Pentagon Jr., Drago, Angelico and others were people Konnan brought to the promotion and under normal circumstances, may have gone with him to a new project, similar to how the people closest with Antonio Pena in 1992 quit CMLL to go with Pena. But the difference here is that it was made clear to everyone in Lucha Underground, that if they work in Mexico for anyone other than AAA, they would lose their LU jobs.
Bret Hart, when asked to do Payback, said he didn’t want to be there if Natalya was going to lose so was told not to worry that “the ending would be positive.” The plan was to do the Montreal finish and then Flair and Charlotte would try and run off, Bret would block the aisle and they’d end up back in the ring where Natalya would bounce them around. Bret came up with the double sharpshooter idea which Vince McMahon was surprised he’d physically do that much coming off the cancer surgery and the bad wrist.
In regards to not wanting to be there just to see Natty lose, Bret in previous interviews did hint if it wasn't for Natty being the one making the request for his appearance, he'd rather just stay at home resting from his recent medical issues.

According to reports, the recently uploaded Eddie Guerrero RAW tribute show on the Network is not the original tv episode but instead an earlier taped episode. Main reason is due to music license reasons.
Recent Observer newsletter revealed a big source for RAW's ratings decline for the past two years is due to their main tv audience, 18-34 males, dropping to New Gen levels of bad. The gains with female viewers because of Total Divas is nowhere close to making up the difference and even that has dropped by a lot. https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/4j8bnv/meltzer_about_wwe_ratings_declineon_this_week_won/

Really pumped for the return of the super jcup. Used to be one of the coolest tournaments in wrestling until the 2004 version ruined it by having a bunch of jobbers (and marufuji) despite having some of the best junior heavyweights in the world in unrelated tag matches on the card.

– According to North American Wrestling Rankings, WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler reached his 400th televised match in WWE as a singles wrestler after his loss to Baron Corbin on the May 9 edition of Raw. This makes Ziggler the first man to have 400 televised single matches since the site first began tracking wrestler stats in 2006. Ziggler’s current record stands at 176 wins, 176 losses and 48 no-contests.
He’s followed by Randy Orton with 362 matches, Sheamus with 331 matches, Jack Swagger with 327, Kofi Kingston with 321, John Cena with 307, and Kane with 302.
176 wins, 176 losses. Literally 50/50 booking.

And his position on the card literally has not moved either, in 400 matches. You would think someone would pick up on that.

I love Dolph Ziggler and kinda hate Baron Corbin and I couldn't even be happy at Ziggler beating him because I just thought "This will do nothing for Ziggler and absolutely fucks up Corbin's chances of being relevant from the get-go." Lo and behold Corbin gets his win back and everyone looks like they're on the same shitty level. Cool.

I didn't mind the Ziggler win, honestly. Corbin (and Big Cass) have been presented as big guys that are still finding themselves in the ring. It takes the need for them to be batting 100 off a little.
I've got no clue where they go with Ziggler now though. He might be good in a tag team with someone.

I think TNA should move pass Abyss at this point. I'm not saying that as a criticism of Abyss, but I just feel that he's too much "old TNA" at this point.

Kind of agree, that's why I like him in Decay. It's not the regular monster Abyss and feels fresh.

Also agree. They have Mike Tenay but for some reason don't use him. Had him replace Pope while he was attacked by Lashly but was gone when Pope returned.

How is Kevin Kelly as a commentator? I don't remember much of his work, but he seems to have a good reputation as a "wrestling guy."

If AJ Styles wins the WWE World Title from Roman Reigns, when Seth Rollins returns it makes perfect sense for him to want a shot at the belt he never lost. This puts Reigns & Rollins both in the challenging position. It'd be very easy to move Dean Ambrose (who should win this year's Money in the Bank, in my opinion) into a partnership with Reigns & Rollins against AJ Styles, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows.
I know people have talked about The Shield vs. The Bullet Club on here before, but I think that's the most natural way to transition into it.

I've got this weird feeling they are going to put the tag belts on The Shining Stars. I don't know why, I just see them being given them to try and make them seem a bit more serious and hopefully get them over and eventually transition them to Enzo & Cass. A role they could do with The Vaudevillains, but I'm not sure how much long-term faith the WWE has in them.

I kind of know how I want the upcoming returns to go:
Seth Rollins returns and obviously wants what he never lost -- the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Roman Reigns has defeated AJ Styles again, but there are still some that feel that AJ could beat Reigns. Shane and Stephanie and doing the job-sharing thing, so they think that Rollins should re-earn his place in the title picture. AJ Styles wants the title, he wants the title -- they can fight at Money in the Bank and the winner will receive the next shot at the WWE Title.
John Cena is back and he wants a match with Roman Reigns. He's won the belt 15 times in the past, he couldn't compete at WrestleMania for the first time in forever, so he now wants to prove he still belongs at the top. Reigns vs. Cena is confirmed for MITB. In addition to that match and Rollins vs. Styles, you also obviously have the Ladder Match.
Rollins beats Styles fair and square, proving that he does belong back in the title picture, while Reigns beats Cena in the "torch-passing" moment. I know people would want the WWE to pocket that match for a while, but the crowd could be very unpredictable for it. Money in the Bank is obviously in the WWE's "big four" PPVs now, so it's not like it's a throwaway show, but you won't be counting on any specific crowd reaction for it.
Rollins moves into the title picture against Reigns and Finn Balor debuts and steals Anderson & Gallows away from Styles, because they believe that Styles has "lost his edge" or whatever. Triple H re-inserts himself around this time, and he implies that he has Seth's back against Reigns. Rollins tells Triple H that he is going to do what Triple H couldn't do at WrestleMania -- beat Roman Reigns -- because he's "that damn good." Cold war tensions are a-brewing. Triple H gets involved and screws Rollins, which sets up Triple H vs. Rollins quite nicely for SummerSlam. Brock comes back for the SummerSlam title match against Roman. Styles and Balor have their blow-off.
The one guy I'm not sure of is Randy Orton. I'd honestly be kind of intrigued to see him work with someone like Cesaro or Kevin Owens. I guess that'd put him in the IC Title picture?
