Sheets for everyone, just wash them a bit since they are a bit dirty:
Jeff Jarrett came to terms with Matt Striker on Saturday as the analyst for the January 4th New Japan WRESTLE KINGDOM 9 Pay Per View from the Tokyo Dome.
As noted earlier, there was interest in having Mike Tenay do the show, but TNA refused to let him do the PPV, citing Global Force Wrestling as competition. Jarrett and Scott D'Amore also had talks with several people dating as far back as November, including Kevin Nash, Mauro Ranallo, Ron Neimi and former WWE Tag Team Champion Rene Dupree, who lives in Japan.
There has been talk of bringing Adrian Neville up to WWE's main roster with a new gimmick.
WWE has until December 30th to respond to the lawsuit filed against them by former WWE star Billy Jack Haynes or to file a motion to have it dismissed. WWE has filed for a number of attorneys, including Jerry McDevitt, to be allowed to represent them in the case ...
As we previously reported, the 30 page lawsuit, which was designed to be similar to the one brought against the NFL by former players, alleges WWE “has, for decades, subjected its wrestlers to extreme physical brutality that it knew, or should have known, caused long-term irreversible bodily damage, including brain damage.”
There had been some talk of adding Brie Bella into the AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella Divas Title Match at WWE TLC, making it a Triple Threat, but obviously that didn't happen. This could be a sign that WWE officials are going back and forth on what they want to do with The Bella Twins.
The WWE likely didn't bother planning anything beyond the actual butler stip when the Bellas were feuding.
Many people have noticed that the WWE has been referring to Sting as “The Vigilante Sting” recently. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the announcers and talent have been told to use the “Vigilante” nickname for Sting whenever his name is said on TV. This is said to be a mandatory directive to the talent with no exceptions.
"Coming out of the PPV, I've been told many in the company are not happy with the end result. While many knew it would be tough to top the NXT show, there were people who thought it could be pulled off.
There have been rumblings that some talent knew they couldn't top NXT so in a silent protest in favor of Triple H, some superstars were described "mailing in" their matches last night. Many are in favor of Triple H and what he has done with the NXT product and feel it is time for Triple H to take the lead on the main roster.
John Cena held a talent meeting about an hour ago which was described to me as forceful yet calm in his approach. Cena stressed that a silent protest is not what the roster needs. Instead, they need to go out there and start stepping it up every night for their point to be proven."
Take with a grain of salt since its from the usual source on Reddit's r/SquaredCircle.
Other sheet news include NJPWWorld added in an English translation for their website. Also, WWE debunked for now rumors of them no longer want any more new merchandise made for Lesnar with that void to be replaced in Sheamus' favor for his upcoming return push.

Dirtsheets:
In an attempt to boost eyeballs on the go-home show for the Royal Rumble, which takes place on 1/19, WWE will be doing a show called "Raw Reunion."
Announces already as appearing on the show are Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, plus a 30-man Lumberjack match with John Cena vs. Seth Rollins.
An interesting note is that in the release for the show, Brock Lesnar's name was not listed. Previously, Lesnar had been advertised for that date.
From the WWE Has No Clue How to Promote the Network file, there's this video on WWE.com, which is, in theory, supposed to count down the top 10 hidden gems on WWE Network. It consists of quick clips from the network's eight weekly shows and then three clips of archival footage: Ric Flair vs. Sting from the first Clash of the Champions, The Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy in their ladder match on Raw in 2003, and Elizabeth announcing on Saturday Night's Main Event that she'll be in a neutral corner at WrestleMania V. First of all, that adds up to 11. But more importantly, none of the archival footage is named and there's no actual countdown of any of this. Without a brief "hidden gems" graphic you'd think they posted the wrong video.
Tom Phillips noted on tonight's Super SmackDown that WWE doctors are evaluating Ryback for concussion-like symptoms after he was attacked by WWE United States Champion Rusev before Ryback's scheduled match with Seth Rollins that didn't happen. Phillips promised an update on Ryback in the next few days.
Raw did 3.51 million viewers last night, the lowest rating for the show since a Christmas Eve show in 2012. It was the lowest non-holiday audience for Raw since December 3, 2012, a show that did 3.43 million viewers, and one of the lowest rated non-holiday episodes since 1997.
The number can't be attributed to the NFL, since the game did 11.07 million viewers, a below average number. Plus it was the day after a PPV show, when the audience, in particular for the first hour, should be way up.
This was a reflection of declining interest in the product.
The three hours were:
8 p.m. 3.70 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.48 million viewers
10 p.m. 3.39 million viewers
Last night’s episode of WWE Raw sunk to the lowest level of 2014–or 2013, for that matter. The show drew 3.52 milion viewers and a 1.17 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are down 5% and 8% from last week’s 3.7 million and 1.27 demo rating; the viewership is the lowest average rating for the show since the December 24th, 2012 episode drew 3.17 million viewers.
Another source about RAW's poor performance with ratings breakdowns.
Some other sheet news include Rolling Stone naming Ziggler as their Wrestler of the Year winner. Also for some laughs, another classic "Tales of the Vince" story involving Vince and burritos -> http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/WWE_News_3/article_72356.shtml.

Hi, I am beloved TPWW Member Lock Jaw. I am here to offer you some friendly advice.
A picture is usually not worth a thread in of itself. However, we have a thread entitled "100,001 Replies", in which a post like this would fit right in. The thread is for pics/gifs/thoughts/comments which you may have but are not "thread worthy" in and of themselves.
As it is, you are going to send SlickyTrickyDamon into a blind rage again, and I am concerned that he may take it out on some poor woman in real life. So I'm just trying to look out for you and for any women SlickyTrickyDamon may come into contact with.
Thanks,

Dusty Rhodes was so good at cutting promos that made you want to come see him kick someone's ass.

Probably the best promo of all time except for the conclusion. Felt like Dusty was talking about god at the end but then it turned to be about his dad. A little confusing at the end. It should have ended with the "Hard times blues" line. It was anticlimactic.

That was also what Eric Bischoff called it. Said something to the effect that everything that sounded southern had to go (basically why he fired JR's ass.) They traveled around but it was clearly a Southern company because of Atlanta being their HQ and the Carolinas with Jim Crockett Promotions.

To be fair a lot of that credit has to go to Bill Apter. Every wrestling fan I knew read Pro Wrestling Illustrated like it was the fucking Bible. That got Flair's name out there even if NWA wasn't big in a certain market. I don't remember watching WCW until 1993 but I knew who Ric Flair was before he came to the WWF in 1991.

Holiday Sheets:
As noted, WWE creative has been working on a new main roster gimmick for NXT star Adrian Neville and the gimmick could be inspired by the legendary character character Mighty Mouse. There were suggestions within WWE this past week about putting a mask on Neville and making him a kids character based on Mighty Mouse. The gimmick is not set in stone but after The Ascension, Neville is scheduled to be the next NXT talent brought to the main roster as they are working on ideas for him.
Former WWE Superstar CM Punk is expected to make his debut in UFC's Octagon in late 2015. It was being speculated that Punk could debut on UFC's big event in July 2015 but the feeling is that it will be later in the year. On a related note, Punk will host a UFC 182 weigh-ins Q&A for Fight Club members on January 2nd at the Marquee Ballroom at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The Q&A begins at 2pm local time.
We noted before that Bellator MMA is in talks with the former Alberto "El Patron" Del Rio about coming in. It appears Del Rio will be making a return to the MMA world. There is said to be another promotion besides Bellator that is currently trying to sign him. Del Rio is expected to take the better money deal. Regarding the former WWE Champion's upcoming Ring of Honor run, he specifically asked to work a match with ACH because he thinks ACH is a really talented wrestler and he's from San Antonio. Del Rio also asked to work matches with Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly. ROH is looking at doing Del Rio vs. Jay Lethal for their March 1st pay-per-view
TNA's last episode with Spike TV aired last night. They will return to TV on January 7th with Impact Wrestling airing on Destination America. In what could be a sign of bad ticket sales for the first Destination America tapings in New York City, they are now offering a 50% discount on tickets for all three tapings.
AJ Lee is currently out of action with an injury. She had been working hurt so they could wrap up the feud with Divas Champion Nikki Bella. WWE officials were planning on doing a significant injury angle to write AJ off TV but that was nixed for an unknown reason. AJ being away is why Naomi and Natalya were moved into contendership for Nikki's title. Original plans had Naomi challenging Nikki but they may go with Natalya. The belief within WWE is that AJ will be back in 2015 some time.
As noted earlier, Taz's new podcast drops next month. You will be able to listen to the podcast on iTunes and Radio.com. I have also heard that Taz has signed with CBS Radio, so I'm assuming the podcast will be available on there as well. Taz's podcast drops on January 7th, and his first guest will be WWE Hall of Famer Adam "Edge" Copeland. Taz noted on Twitter that he will also discuss some behind the scenes details after he made his WWE debut at the 2000 Royal Rumble.
It's said that morale in WWE, which wasn't good before, has been noticeably different since Vince McMahon's live interview with Steve Austin. The feeling is that Vince "crapped on just about everyone in the locker room" except for Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt. There's also a feeling that Vince made it clear those were the only ones he sees that have top star potential.
Triple H actually gave a speech to the WWE roster after morale got bad due to the interview. His speech was described as an attempt at damage control that backfired.
As a general rule backstage, the talents in NXT love Triple H, but on the main roster, whatever he said in the speech lost him a lot of credibility, especially among those who have been with the company for some time.

If Sting had held the title in the months before Flair left, he still would have come to WWE and instantly been in the title picture. It's Ric Flair. He's one of the most famous wrestlers of all time and it's not because of his time in WWE or his time in Hogan-era WCW.

At its height JCP was 6 owned regional promotions. That sort of gave an illusion that it was national. It was just six local pockets of operation. Once they tried to expand nationally they ran out of money fast and sold out to Turner. It was always considered southern regional because it started in the Mid-Atlantic and had southern announcers, stars, owners etc

Wcw and jcp wrestlers were very well known. Not at the level of hogan during his height but all the way up to New York they had a presence. And wrestling fans knew of both.

Surprised you didn't know about WCW because Steiner Brothers. Weren't they supposed to be the gods of all of Michigan, or some such shit?
I knew about NWA/WCW mostly because of my brother. He would tell stories about visiting family over in Akron that had cable (back when that was kind of a big deal, and not taken as granted in every household you walk into) and seeing, and subsequently telling me about guys like (apparently pre-King) Harley Race, or Road Warriors, or Magnum TA or the 4 Horsemen from some channel he'd be able to catch it on there. Mom cosign'd on Flair (and "hated that bastard"), which led me to learn about other wrestlers that weren't in WWF... it was like a whole other side to wrestling I wasn't able to see, and that kinda made it exciting. I didn't know shit about Terry Funk (again, mom did) until I saw him later on in WCW and recognized him as "that guy who always gets beat up in movies" (he's always someone's bodyguard or lackey, and he always get's his ass kicked. Example: Roadhouse.)

I didn't know about any non-wwe wrestling until I was in the 6th or 7th grade. I was at my grandma's house, then all of the sudden there's wrestling on tv, but it wasn't WWF wrestling. I was mildly confused, then bored. Later on, after Hogan joined WCW, I was watching TV and all of the sudden I see Hulk Hogan with a pair of brass knuckles holding at least 6 heels at bay. Part of me died seeing that. It was the first instance as a wrestling fan that I couldn't allow my sense of disbelief to kick in. I watched Papa Shango use voodoo and bought it, but not Hogan with a pair of brass knuckles holding off 6 guys.

Only if they edit the title history accordingly... a win, and then a new title won via tournament by the actual historically correct winner.
Hell, they could even make this a show (or a "mini show"- like a 5 minute spot filler) on the network: Sheamus' Improbable History. They CG him into these old matches where he wins the titles, then runs into the parking area, jumps in the DeLorian, and heads to another time.
