imo Big Show is one of the biggest examples of WWE dropping the ball. He could go for his size. He could cut a decent promo when he needed to. Apparently the NXT stalker from several years ago returned last night during NXT tapings for the next batch of episodes. Also seems WWE was completely caught off guard on his showing even though he posted several times on social media about his plans.

Armando Alejandro Montalvo, the WWE fan who was shot outside of the WWE Performance Center on August 31st, 2015, appeared outside of tonight's WWE NXT TV tapings at Full Sail University and caused a scene.

According to fans waiting outside of the venue before doors were opened, Montalvo was ranting about WWE, DX and about how Vince McMahon will have to shoot him again to stop him. Security was called but Montalvo jumped into a waiting car and drove away before they could catch up to him.

Montalvo had been on WWE's radar before the shooting after a history of bizarre behavior outside of the Performance Center. He had also posted several videos to social media, ranting on how he was obsessed with several female WWE Superstars, including AJ Lee and WWE Hall of Famer Lita. Some of Montalvo's videos had him spreading urine and feces on photos of WWE talents and on the outside of WWE buildings. Montalvo was shot by police who responded to a disturbance call at the Performance Center that day. Montalvo reportedly charged at one of the officers with a handful of rocks after a confrontation. He survived the shooting and has been wrapped up in the legal process since then, even as recent as January of this year. He was charged with trespassing, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer for the incident at the Performance Center. Montalvo has had numerous run-ins with law enforcement since that incident and still makes daily references to WWE on social media, accusing Vince of being out to get him. Montalvo often posts videos of what he calls "wrestling promos" that mention WWE, Vince and numerous wrestlers.

Laith's release got confirmed by Pro Wrestling Sheet and another reliable NXT source. Main reason was too many incidents in recent months leading to her final straw in the WWE.

Supposedly during her time there, she got hit with at least one Wellness strike, became the female version of Chris Hero in terms of laziness, had a lot of problems with others in NXT's housing system, and pissed off the WWE when they discovered she wasn't helping to take care of Nixon Newell after her ACL injury.

PWI recently debunked rumors of a ROH-Impact partnership being formed recently. Speculation started after Impact champ Austin Aries made a surprise appearance at last night's ROH event.

Also was intially speculated Impact wasn't made aware of Aries surprise appearance but they did give their approval even if it wasn't needed due to Aries contract status.

Former ROH and current Impact champion Austin Aries made a surprise appearance on ROH's 16th Anniversary PPV tonight, sparking speculation that the two companies are now working together.

To respond to all the emails we received, the companies are not working together, at all. If they were, certainly ROH would have identified him as Impact champion, which they did not.

Austin Aries is not under a signed contract with Impact. Contractually, they couldn't prevent him from appearing, as he's not signed to any paperwork that would prevent him from appearing elsewhere.

Aries was booked, we are told, like any other independent talent is by ROH - directly and wouldn't need to clear the appearance with Impact.

As far as the idea promotions working together, it was just a year ago that ROH had a PPV event pulled from DirecTV because Impact Wrestling made the decision to send cease and desist letters to a number of PPV companies because ROH was going to utilize The Hardy Boys, with Impact claiming ownership over the characters and trademarks. While Matt Hardy may have eventually gained control of the characters and trademarks, ROH was still burnt that night, and they aren't likely to offer an olive branch to Impact when they were the ones wronged in that scenario.

Aries made Impact Wrestling aware of the appearance in advance. Impact was supportive of the appearance, feeling it could only bring them positive awareness, even if they were not directly working with Ring of Honor.

While there are obviously some burned bridges between the two companies, the current Impact management regime is very much of the opinion that they want an open door policy to work with everyone they can. While ROH did not reach out to Impact, Impact is obviously hoping this could be a first step towards relations down the line.

In fact, we are also told that Impact Wrestling gave their blessing for the Impact championship belt to appear with Aries.

I worked for KB Toys when they came out, and I ended up getting most (if not all) of them, simply because it seemed both cool and farfetched that they *actually* had figures. Also, some disbelief on my part, because New Jack has a noose around his neck - use your brain why that would be an issue on a toy - and with the added context of this being around the time that the WWE figure of Al Snow was pulled because of that supposed controversy about Head being some meataphor for abusing women or some such shit. I agree, especially on TV matches and especially when the finish is already established.

You read my mind. That match last night between Orton and Roode is exactly what made me start mulling this over in my head. The superplex was the moment that stuck out the most to me, but the powerbomb and spinebuster outta nowhere by Roode also would have been acceptable finishes to me.

While I appreciate this continuity I would prefer this angle end at this years show. Down the road we need a new story to lead the company and Reigns/Brock/Taker for a multitude of reasons isn't qualified to lead the charge anymore.

I think if Taker does decided to do a "few more" then they need a very strong story to make it special. And he'd probably have to appear more than two or three times before WM each year.

And as for what's next for Reigns after Lesnar? Possibly Cena, Strowman, Rollins, there are options if they put the right spin on it.

I've pinpointed the exact spot where WWECW lost all hope. It was episode 21 where Paul Heyman opened with an announcement about an Extreme Elimination Chamber. That was all fine enough. Then Kevin Thorn and Sabu had a match to qualify for said match. Also fine. Then Daivari walked out with The Great Khali to face Shannon Moore, and all of my interest just died on impact.

What era of what show should I start watching now? Should I go back to 2005 Smackdown? I didn't really stop watching that for any reason, but I forgot to put it on my watchlist.

Not only that, but sometimes, the some of the transitions, placeholders, and high spots look more devastating than what is actually supposed to end the match.

So, a guy takes a top-rope death valley driver through a flaming table that's on an unpadded floor, and they're fine enough to just get up and continue the match in the ring, but some spinning elbow "knocks them out" dead just because that's the guy's finish? C'mon... it wasn't like you got hit with a Steiner Screwdriver. A flurry of kicks to the temple makes you dizzy for a couple of seconds, but one superkick to the chin, and you're prone just because it's a superkick (unless it's a Young Bucks match, because you have to eat about 12 more of them for no reason).

Admittedly that's not the most heavyweight card, but if you throw in things like Alpha being accompanied by Hulk Hogan and you really let AJ Styles, it could deliver and help some of those undercard guys who are struggling find places. Kane vs. Ellsworth would just be a squash. Rawley has got heel potential. The TLC match seems like it has odd placement and is a generally weird addition, but I think it would call back to that time they first gave Edge & Christian and The Hardys a ladder and gave them the chance to try and get over. It also allows you to place The Revival in the actual title match without politically stepping over everybody else's spot. I suppose you could not do Slater vs. Rhyno and have them in there if you want a babyface team people care about, but you could also call up The Dudleys and just trim The Ascension and Vaudevillains from the match, but I think it would be kind to give them a shot here. Overall, that means you'd be getting 26 main show matches across a weekend.

Apparently WWE accidentally leaked another member of this year's Hall of Fame class:

Mark Henry's name was listed among this year's HoF class in a WWE magazine for Wrestlemania 34.

WWE has put out a magazine for WrestleMania and listed for Hall of Fame inductees, aside from the ones already announced, is Mark Henry.

According to both the Observer and PWI, AJ Styles injury at last Friday's RAW's MSG house show is legit. Same for him getting pulled from last weekend's set of house shows due to the injury.

WWE champion AJ Styles only made one appearance over the weekend, working briefly at Madison Square Garden where he saved Shinsuke Nakamura from an attack by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Styles was slated to work as Nakamura's tag team partner, but Owens and Zayn attacked the pair and injured Styles with several chairshots before the bell.

Styles did not work any Smackdown Live touring events the remainder of the weekend. Instead, Nakamura teamed with Randy Orton against Zayn and Owens.

PWInsider.com can confirm Styles is dealing with an injury, although we have not confirmed the nature of the issue. Styles is backstage at Raw in Dallas today to be looked over by WWE medical staff, we are told.
