Gran Metalik is also considering leaving WWE very soon. If All Elite Wrestling ends up with Rami Sebei and Mascara Dorada, then that is a boon for them.

I dunno when it was recorded but the interview made me not like Sami Zayn anymore. Dude thinks way too much about everything. He’s very neurotic and obviously a narrssisit who hates that about himself so he’s just a walking contradiction. I remember a report a year or more back saying Sami “had heat” for his attitude and if you listen to that podcast you should have a good understanding of that.

Yep. He and KO will be both be in it I think. Also even if he isn't quite ring ready yet, nothing about him returning says he has to immediately wrestle. He could come back on air and cut promos and be involved in segments with lighter bumps to build a feud and not actually wrestle for 4-6 weeks after the return.

Regardless, I don't think you can treat anything wrestlers say on social media or these podcasts as reality any more. Social media is such an integral part of society now and it's importance has clearly not gone unnoticed by WWE. It's likely that 90% of what they are saying online is worked at this point. But this trend honestly has potential. Most people aren't going to sit there and think about it in these terms; I imagine most people will initially think these things wrestlers are saying online are real and might be in conflict with the company. WWE and other feds can play off those feelings and bring back some element of one of the most important aspects of wrestling, something they lost a LONG time ago....suspension of disbelief.

I only listened to a snippet because it popped up for this morning. The dude sounds like a pretentious wanker that can't help but say things and then go "Oh shit, no, what I meant was..." It really did make me dislike the guy more, haha. I know way too much about him from a few minutes of audio (he loves jacking off and he's at least a vegetarian). It's really easy to see why he has the rep of being annoying.

If Vince finds that audio because he heard Sami doesn't have the passion to return or whatever, I can see him really fucking hating the guy. He sounds like such a prick, haha.

Both his arms are fucked. I think that will make it harder to return than just one being fucked, and the guy never seemed like a gym junkie sort of guy. I think his estimated time of return was around March or April. And what is the point of working people through these means? How many people are going to listen to Jericho's podcast and go "Oh, Sami's still hurt" and then get all crazy when he comes back randomly in the Royal Rumble only to get dumped out like any other guy?

What is the point of working people on such a low-key, niche, "wrestling is play fighting" scale? That's like Vince Russo shit.

And who really cares about the bureaucratic drama of whether a babyface *sues*?

Atlanta is hosting the final four around the same time as WM so it's out. Miami has the Super Bowl in 2020 so it's out (WM never is held in the same city the same year as the SB).

I don't know why, but I've always expected a Mania in Phoenix for a couple of years. They seem to be comfortable in their usual markets, so somewhere in Florida is a safe guess, but I dunno, I just see Phoenix getting it one of these years for some reason. Going to keep getting more bloated due to them not slowing down any time soon with the indies signings and NXT expansion plans. Same for not wanting to release anyone that could be of any value for the indies.

At least another 10-12 or so are getting added this month based on the rumored and confirmed January class for the Performance Center. Wouldn't be surprised if they hit at least 300-350 within a year or two based on rumored plans or if you start including those just in the PC.

Two decades takes us back to 1999, where kayfabe was already dead and buried and the industry, as a whole, was about to head downhill for the longest time. Maybe some of those intergender matches were amazing and believable, but I don’t think it goes without saying.

It can be done with certain women vs certain men. I don't think there is a woman on Earth that would be believable in a match against Brock Lesnar though. Kairi Sane against him would be laughable. Kairi is definitely one of the women who could pull off an intergender match with the right opponent though. She could easily have a believable match against someone like Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Nakamura, etc.

I wouldn't mind them having a woman initiating a feud with a man. Would be an interesting time to have one play out considering current social trends. The woman would have to initiate the feud though and would have to be insistent that she is just as good as any man on the roster. The man would have to be extremely reluctant to engage in the feud at first and would be trying to avoid confrontation for a good while. Will need those things and a slow build in order to be able to gain enough traction without generating maximum social backlash or it will just die/get killed off early on.

It could be done though and I think it would be very interesting.

According to Tokyo Sports and NJPW themselves, both Kenny Omega and KUSHIDA are leaving NJPW after this month.

Suzuki-Gun also losing Takashi Iizuka due to retirement after next month.

In a new article on Tokyo Sport's website, Omega says following his loss to Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 13, he needs to take time away. The article also mentions that he is likely to go to either All Elite Wrestling or WWE.

“There is no real place for me to fit, so it’s best for me not to be in (NJPW),” Omega is quoted as saying. “I can’t be there working under Tanahashi. I don’t think he’s surpassed me, don’t think he’s better. If we can, I want to face him again. But I need time away, and not just from New Japan.”

He's teased something similar for at least the past 2 years or so. Not soo much about leaving NJPW but mostly just having his career's future in constant mind.

Only reason he never bothered going to the WWE was due to having a miserable experience in their developmental system years ago and not wanting to work in a creatively restricted environment.

It would be one thing if it was Brock Lesnar or some other big jacked up dude. Pentagon is not one of those guys. And Joshi stars are tough as nails. Never mind the three in the video are probably the best female workers in the world and legit better than most men.

Nothing wrong with those videos and Slick Damo’s response is straight overreaction, IMO.

Penta is fantastic at making his opponent look good. No matter who he's up against they come out of it looking like they're the best thing ever. Not to discount Kairi, Io and Mayu who are incredible in their own right, but he wrestled Chelsea Green during the season 4 tapings and she looked insanely good during that one. I might even say that match got her a WWE contract.

I still want to see someone who can speak English, but is Japanese do an angle as muscle for someone properly hate-able. Have the heel run them down before sending them after someone for several months. And just have it simmer until the point where the Japanese wrestler tells the heel to "Shut up." Heel acts like they finally learned English, then the face says "I understood EVERYTHING!"

New Japan taking some heavy hits. Omega is obviously the biggest one, but Sanada had that level of potential where people were latching onto his development. I hope he goes to AEW and not WWE though. KUSHIDA is another loss and another guy that I hope doesn't go to WWE.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Jericho and Ibushi.

Below is what Sullivan said:

It’s really funny to think about this as now years later Sullivan is employed by the McMahons!

Damn Vito, I guess that's common knowledge by now. I'd argue that she's physically intimidating and a lot better than Dwayne Johnson's other cousin, Tamina Snuka, but then again all of those attributes are negated by how unsafe she is in the ring.

How can you get better when you're not doing shit? The last time I remember Tamina getting any kind of "push" (and I use that lightly) was right about before all that bad news came out about her old man, and she was shoved violently right back off TV and into oblivion to the point where there was all kinds of "Wait, she still works there???" at her Royal Rumble appearance. Not saying she was or could have been one of the best women ever, but it feels like she has gotten a raw deal for a long time.

I was kind of buying the “Becky will get the WrestleMania main event” talk for a minute, but I’m now thinking that Becky wins the Smackers belt and Charlotte wins the Rumble and challenges Ronda with Becky’s blessing.
