Apparently Impact Wrestling's current legal problems also extends to their legal teams after lawyers representing them for one of the lawsuits requested to be dropped due to Impact not paying them.

The attorneys representing TNA Wrestling, LLC in the lawsuit brought against them last year by Nashville-based Fraley International, LLC (which handles importation of merchandise from overseas) over money owed from shipments of TNA merchandise being brought to the United States after it was produced in the Far East, have withdrawn as their representation as of 4/24. They filed a motion asking the Chancery Court in Nashville to allow them to stop representing TNA on 3/16, citing lack of payment.

Yasukawa was born with "Graves Disease" and was blind in one eye. She was a loner and suffered from bullying throughout her school life and had depression to the point she even attempted suicide. She always wanted to be a wrestler and began training. 3 months into her training, she fell ill and was told she couldn't wrestle anymore. Her only choice was to take medication that would strengthen her body enough for her to continue wrestling, but she would be left infertile forever. So she sacrificed the chances of her ever having kids to continue her dream of wrestling. But she still suffered recurring health problems that would force her to take time off from wrestling. She once had to relinquish a championship because of her disease. During her time out she managed to get surgery on her eye and be able to see through it again.


She used to spend time helping to set up the ring and sell merchandise to fans to help the company during the times she couldn't wrestle. Because of that the company liked her, and it started to make some others jealous. Yasukawa was scheduled to battle Yoshiko for the World of Stardom Championship in the main event of a Korakuen Hall show. However, the match resulted in a no contest when Yoshiko began to shoot on Yasukawa, legitimately beating her to the point that the match had to be stopped. Following the match, Yasukawa, with a bloody and badly swollen face, was rushed to a Tokyo hospital where she was diagnosed with fractured cheek, nasal and orbital bones, which would require surgery. The incident received mainstream attention in Japan and became known as Seisan Matchi (凄惨マッチ?, "Ghastly Match"). Yoshiko also purposely targeted the eye that she recently had surgery on to repair her blindness, trying to damage it.

According to the Observer, ITV's World of Sport future is in serious doubt and all because of TNA/Impact getting involved. ITV currently looking at the idea of partnering with someone else because of how toxic Impact has been to their project.

Wrestlers who were interested in ITV's series are also now looking at other options instead.

ITV is pissed their current plans had to be delayed and might try for an early 2018 launch but likely dropping it by then.

The key problem is what was reported here last week regarding ITV and Impact not coming to a business agreement over their partnership. ITV wants to do it, and the feeling was that they had the structure to handle a taping for one show, but not a promotion, which is where TNA came aboard since they have experience in running a wrestling business. It’s certainly not dead that they would be able to reach an agreement and do tapings later. It also may not happen. Whether ITV would do it on their own or work with a U.K. promotion is still up in the air. The problem with the U.K. promotions is that all the talent in the U.K., besides those signed with WWE & Anthem are free agents and work everywhere, and ITV would want a crew under contract so WWE couldn’t pick them off. The Mirror reported that the shows won’t be taped until 2018 which will kill the project because I don’t see any top talent not getting signed somewhere before that. A lot of the talent doesn’t think it’s going to happen now since no new dates were announced and just the way it quietly was announced as not happening. One person key in the plans said the story they were told was they were looking at starting in the next year, which sounds a lot less promising than if they said they’d be taping in the next two months. There were several minor things done to sabotage the project but ultimately I think ITV wanted to try wrestling which used to be cheap programming in the old days, but now it’s expensive and you have to sign the talent to deals or you’ll lose them if they are good to one of many different companies, most notably WWE. There are major issues that aren’t settled. ITV supposedly has a backup plan, but working with What Culture is not something that is being considered right now based on what we’re told. A lot of the talent signed by ITV was unhappy when the word was that Impact would be taking over and wanted out, and even more disappointed when these shows were canceled. Some were told that it may not be until next year when the first tapings take place, which is where the starting back in 2018 story came from. There was actually talk among some of the guys of a Radicalz 2000 jump to WWE, which obviously would have loved to have taken the top tier talent from the project, but many of the key contracts with ITV from the first set of tapings were for one year, so they have a long way to go. There was talk of some of them being at the WWE tryouts, but I’m not sure WWE would let guys try out publicly who have existing contracts and we didn’t hear anything about the contracted guys here trying out. Others involved with the project outright told us that given how everything went down this past week, with the cancellation and not even a clue of a new tapings date, or the nebulous early 2018, that they are going with their own mentality of like it’s not happening, and it’s a big disappointment because much of the talent had high hopes for the project

On the subject of Kanyon, I watched his interview with Stern where he said he was fired for being gay. Ric Flair calls in to represent WWE. Kanyon definitely seemed like he was using his homosexuality as an excuse. He was one of those undercard guys who eventually wore out his welcome in WWE. Regardless of how talented you think he was personally, he definitely was one of those guys WWE would decide they have no use for at the time. In no way do I think his homosexuality came into play.

Those were two immediate examples I pulled without thinking. I'm pretty sure there are people who don't have "ROH trademark" and if I did more research, could come up with , or some changed while they were *on* the roster and/or developmental... but I mean there seems to be some random "this guy can't be x, but this other guy can". I thought about this before specifically because of Tommy End's rebranding, and the amount of guys who could and couldn't use "Black". I would have figured it was "too generic" since others have been changed from that.

It's like if I chose an alternate life path and ended up in WWE; I can't be Tom Guycott for whatever reason, so they drop me in the name generator, and I'm now called Axlerod Smitherson or some shit. tnaRVD was so ridiculously awful. Debuts and is immediately beaten down by Sting. Goes on to win the world title then is implied to have been actually murdered by Abyss backstage, forcing him to vacate the title. A tournament is held to crown a new champion due to RVD's death. RVD returns to action before the tournament has even finished (the final is somehow a triple threat match too because tna) and wrestles in the midcard instead. Classic.

Smackdown are going to the Picture in Picture ads like they tested a couple of times.

NBCUniversal doesn’t want to put viewers in a headlock to get them to watch commercials.

So at a time when commercial avoidance is a big issue for ad-supported TV, NBCU is going to use a picture-in-picture approach during its WWE SmackDown series on USA Network.

When the commercial break starts, the sound will go down on the action, but viewers will still be able to see the “Superstars” bash each other with steel chairs and jump from the turnbuckles. Meanwhile, the ad message plays with sound and motion.

NBCU tested the concept last year and expects to go forward with it later this month or in early June. The names of the participating advertisers was not disclosed. Picture-in-picture will be included as NBCU sells WWE programming on USA in the upfront.

Yeah, like I was never a fan of Maryse in her first run, but she's fantastic in the role she's in now. It's all about what fits the character. Hot talentless chicks don't need to win matches and look strong. Just make them valets or something and get them over based on being hot while hiding the negatives. Asuka should be booked as a world-beater. Someone like Eva Marie, not so much.

Yeah, like I was never a fan of Maryse in her first run, but she's fantastic in the role she's in now. I actually really like that they're leaving the wrestling to the wrestlers, and putting the hot chicks who aren't great in the ring, into roles like valets and interviewers. It's a good happy medium.

Trish wasn't that great in the beginning either, but she was more of a glorified arm charm for a tag team until she was able to (eventually) come into her own as a singles wrestler. Meanwhile, I was never really a fan of Kelly Kelly, and she never improved, but got the big championship run anyway because "she be hawt". Same with Nikki Bella (Brie is a marginally better wrestler, but that's like comparing the smell of a hot summer dumpster to the smell of a hot summer manure delivery. She seemed like she had the aptitude to improve with time, but always looked to play second fiddle to Captain Funbags for whatever reason you want to insert- be it tits or Cena or whatever). I don't even have to get into how I felt about Eva Marie, my hatred for that nonsense is well documented.

Pushing eye candy is what caused the need for the so-called "women's revolution" to begin with. For years, any Diva's division angle was usually just a piss break waiting to happen or a clusterfuck multiple tag match just to get everyone on TV for a couple of minutes unless it was something "special" like Lita vs Trish. What good does it do to have something nice to look at when nobody is looking?

Also, I agree with the original sentiment about Asuka not exactly being any kind of harsh on the eyes. She might not be the cup of tea of that "every red-blooded 'Murican" demographic, but she is pretty enough. And has ring ability and her own charisma to boot. As long as they don't change her "destroy bitches because they can't hang with me" demeanor when she hits the main roster, she should be fine. And Liv just needs time and something to differentiate her. There was awhile where I legit couldn't tell her and Carmella apart.

Total Divas giving Eva Marie the boot for next season. Was pretty much the last thing keeping her in the WWE after rumors popped up about the WWE having no desire to renew her contract due to the Wellness Suspension wrecking plans for her.

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Eva Marie will NOT be returning to Total Divas for season seven — and producers have been interviewing her potential replacements.

Multiple sources have confirmed that production is hard at work interviewing the female roster to determine the new cast member before filming begins next month.

We’re told Charlotte and a handful of others are among the women they’ve spoken with.

It’s unclear if Paige will continue to appear on the show, but our sources say original cast members Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Natalya and Naomi are a lock.

Eva was last seen on the show’s finale dealing with her Wellness violation suspension.
