OXSports.com picked up on the group of WWE fans who were dressed like WWE Legends in the front row of Monday's RAW in Des Moines, Iowa. As noted, WWE security took the fans away from their seats a few minutes into the show and had them change their clothes. FOX Sports reached out for comment and a WWE spokesperson said the company apologized to the fans for being inconvenienced and offered them free tickets to an upcoming event. Apparently the group were told that their outfits were "too distracting" for the broadcast, which is rumored to be a Kevin Dunn pet peeve. Be a star.Just not one from the 80s.

Dirtsheets sponsored by Mighty Mouse:
Regarding the talk about Adrian Neville as a masked Mighty Mouse like character, whether it happens or not, that’s not so much an idea for Neville as much as an idea Vince McMahon has just wanted to do for a short wrestler for some time. At one point there was talk about Henry Cejudo for that gimmick as well, but he ended up going into MMA instead. The funniest part of all is that I doubt WWE has any idea UFC already has a Mighty Mouse, but then again, the UFC version isn’t wearing a mask. The idea is an underdog babyface character aimed at kids.
Sami Zayn didn’t work the NXT house shows over the weekend because he is out of action due to a shoulder injury. No word on how serious it is or how long he may be out
While not announced yet, the people working there are under the assumption a second season has been ordered. They go back to taping on 3/21 and 3/22 and they have tapings ordered past episode 39 (the first season was to be 39 episodes). In addition, El Rey just this past week in promotional materials for the growth of the network pushed Lucha Underground as pretty much its flagship show.
It appears WWE is really still bitter over The Young Bucks turning down a tryout in 2014. We’ve noted how WWE has applied to trademark the “too sweet” hand gesture, which is used by The Young Bucks and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s popular Bullet Club stable.
We also noted how Mark Henry apparently took a shot at the brothers during his SmackDown segment with Roman Reigns last week as he said you “young bucks” haven’t been anywhere, talking down to Reigns.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted on his message board that people within WWE report the line by Henry was indeed done to take a shot at The Bucks.
Back in February, WWE posted a “Fury” video on YouTube that was the “Superkick Party” edition. There was some chatter that this was also done to take a shot at the brothers and apparently that is the case. The term “Superkick Party” has been used by The Bucks for some time now.
We heard a few months back that the superkick move and the word “superkick” was being used on WWE TV a lot more. WWE has had restrictions on the move because it was once considered to be the sacred move of Shawn Michaels. There was talk within WWE that when The Bucks turned WWE down last year, WWE decided to up the use of superkicks in matches.
This week's Raw guest Bill Simmons appeared on ESPN's The Herd with Colin Cowherd today, where host Colin Cowherd continued his anti-wrestling stance.
Simmons, a lifelong wrestling fan, seemed like he knew it was coming. Cowherd has come under fire from wrestling fans for years for making derogatory and sometimes incorrect remarks about professional wrestling and the pro wrestlers themselves.
"I used to watch pro wrestling when I was a kid, but I also used to eat my boogers," Cowherd said. "You're a good looking guy with a big broad life and you're super smart, and you're going to be on WWE Monday Night Raw talking about guys fake wrestling. You would be the last person in the company I'd expect to like fake wrestling. What is it?"
Simmons retorted by asking Cowherd if he had been the the movies in the past year. Cowherd replied that he'd watched The Imitation Game recently and enjoyed it. "Did you hold it against Benedict Cumberbatch that he couldn't really overthrow Germany? Did that ruin the movie for you?" Simmons said. Cumberbatch was the star of the 2014 historical thriller in which Cowherd referenced
"It's people playing parts and playing characters, and they're trying to beat the crap out of each other," Simmons said. "These guys take a lot of punishment. I think as athletes, they're amazing. There's no off season." Cowherd jokingly asked Simmons if he knew it was fake, and Simmons said he didn't like that word. He asked Cowherd if pro wrestling could really be that bad if First Take host Michelle Beadle enjoyed it.
"Most people who like it I have utter disdain for. But when people I like watch it and I seek out their opinions, it disappoints me greatly. It'd be like if I found out our President played with Legos during summits," Cowherd said.
In 2012, Cowherd criticized then-WWE champion CM Punk for judging Nike's endorsement deal with Jon Jones, who had recently been arrested for DUI. Cowherd said that Punk didn't have the right to judge others due to the huge number of drug related deaths within pro wrestling. It has been well documented that CM Punk is extremely anti-drug. Cowherd has offered minimal praise to Vince McMahon, however, calling him a visionary. Cowherd has put over some of McMahon's ideas that he had for his failed XFL football league, and said that McMahon had made "zillions off dollars off of speedos and body oil."

Forgive me please gents. I haven't watched WWE since 2003. I literally just read that Sting will be at Wrestlemania. I am glad to read he is competing with Triple H, a fellow legend, but it's a pity's not The Undertaker.
It's also a shame that the Sting/HHH bout couldn't have taken place in 2002 or 2003 when I was still a kid and highly passionate about the business. :( That would have been great if at say Wrestlemania 18 Sting took on Triple H - The same card where Hollywood Hogan took on The Rock and the Undertaker wrestled Ric Flair. It would have been an ultra WCW vs. WWF PPV.
What can ya do, right? My TV had been giving trouble, but perhaps I will give it the ol' college try and fix it and check out Sting on Raw or I could watch it on YouTube if it's available.

Chris Jericho recently spoke with IGN and was asked if Roman Reigns was ready to main event WrestleMania. Here is what he had to say…
“Look, like I’ve said before, if you’re going to give someone a shot, give them a shot. There’ve been tons of guys who when they’ve been put in the main event at WrestleMania might not have been quote unquote ready. Who’s to say who’s ready and who’s not? Let’s see how the crowd reacts when they get there. But all I know is that Roman Reigns was everybody’s favorite guy until the Royal Rumble. And then everyone turned on Roman Reigns. It’s so funny how two days before, and the year before, everybody loved Roman Reigns. Everybody. All the fans did. And don’t tell me that you didn’t because they were all saying ‘Roman Reigns, Roman Reigns, Roman Reigns …what? Daniel Bryan didn’t win the Royal Rumble? We hate Roman Reigns! Boo!’ And meanwhile, ever since then – I mean, we did house shows in Calgary and Edmonton and it was like Beatlemania. They were going nuts for him. And that was a week after the Royal Rumble. So I think that he is ready, as much as anyone can be ready in this day and age. So let’s see how it goes. I mean the match he had with Daniel Bryan at Fastlane was incredible. And you can’t tell me that it was all because of Daniel Bryan. Really? Because I always heard in the business that it takes two. And I think I’ve proven myself to be a fairly decent worker, so if I’m telling you it takes two, I think every fan should shut the hell up and listen to what I’m saying. He did a great job of living up to his end of the bargain and he’ll do the same thing at WrestleMania. They will leave no stone unturned to make that a great match. They will get all the benefits. All the bells and whistles. And as long as they can hold it together, I think it’s going to be great.”

A lot of people feel that Taker should lose to Bray at Mania. This is a match where winning could potentially not benefit Bray IMO because:
1) it could feel very forced - Taker goes 21-0, and then loses two straight? It's sloppy seconds, and would pale in comparison's to Lesnar's win last year.
2) he would have to win the WWE Title ASAP after defeating Taker, and we all know that will not happen.
WWE needs to take this opportunity of Taker vs. Bray to create a unique Mania Moment for Wyatt. If a loss is done properly, it can propel him moreso than a victory would. I thought out a finish for the match:
-Taker goes for the chokeslam, Bray slides out, hits Sister Abigail. Taker kicks out. A few seconds later, Taker does the classic "sit up" and goes on a hot minute.
-After the hot minute, mix in some nice exchanges, Taker hits the Tombstone. This time Wyatt kicks out. Taker is on his knees with a "God dammit how did he kick out" sell. A few seconds later, Wyatt pops up with the Spider Walk which freaks Taker out.
-Taker is now on his ass backing away from Wyatt appearing legitimately scared and Wyatt is stalking him with the Spider Walk. Wyatt rolls out of the walk and starts crawling towards Taker, laughing like a maniac. Taker continues to look horrified/intimidated, but instinct takes over, Taker rips Wyatt's arm towards him, and he locks in Hell's Gate. Bray passes out as the Undertaker wins.
I think creating a moment like this accomplishes a ton:
-Passes the torch to Wyatt as the "New Face of Fear" as the fearless Undertaker displayed that he is truly afraid and also couldn't get Wyatt to tap out
-Gives Wyatt a unique and memorable WM moment making Taker back away from an opponent
-Keeps the importance of the Streak alive. Reigns being "The 1 who beat the 1 in 21-1" is the foundation for Roman's entire push. If Wyatt beats Taker before Lesnar/Reigns even happens, it hurts the credibility of Lesnar's journey as Champion since Wyatt has also beaten Taker.
The team of Honma and Shibata is all kinds of tremendous

I want Wyatt to win to regain the aura he had after last year's Royal Rumble. If Taker does win though, the passing out option is the way it should go down.
My idea for the end of the Cena-Wyatt match last year was for Cena to have Wyatt locked in the STF for a really long time and for Wyatt to eventually start to laugh hysterically and just say something creepy like "I'll see you in your dreams, John..." and then pass out IMMEDIATELY after. The ref checks on him and calls for the bell and Cena doesn't even celebrate when he stands up. He just looks down with a totally creeped out, uneasy look on his face. I feel like they could go with that here if they're intent on having Taker win.
Then have a buried alive match or a casket match main event Extreme Rules and have that be where Wyatt "buries the legend of the Undertaker forever". He can never be the one man who beat Taker at WrestleMania but he can be the one man who actually put the dead man down for good.

Really interested in how they are going to handle Taker's entrance this year. Missed out on it being cloudy by a few days which would have helped and even having Bray-Taker be in the main event likely won't be dark enough to do a regular entrance.

Ever since he came to the WWE Jericho has been a lifer there. It's no wonder he sings their praises when they've given him so much. You don't bite the hand that feeds you and all that. Then have a buried alive match or a casket match main event Extreme Rules and have that be where Wyatt "buries the legend of the Undertaker forever". He can never be the one man who beat Taker at WrestleMania but he can be the one man who actually put the dead man down for good.
Cool finish for Cena/Wyatt, would have helped his character a ton.
If Bray were to beat Taker though, he needs to be booked as an unstoppable monster from that moment forward, or else it'll be forgotten and completely pointless.

Also it almost surely won't happen but I'd love it if everybody got an entrance. How much time would it really take? It's not like they need to all get a full entrance. Just play their theme, introduce them, and switch to the next guy after a couple of seconds. They did it at Battleground last year, it hardly takes a lot of time.
I can understand why they handled it the way they did last year (only giving Show and Sheamus entrances) because Cesaro was meant to be snuck in as an extra guy really, but not sure why they can't have everyone at least get acknowledged unless they have another surprise winner looming.

WWE is really pushing for WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar to sign a new deal on Monday at RAW instead of the end of the month after WrestleMania 31. F4WOnline noted that tt's described as "a game of who in the end isn't going to blink."
Would tie into a recent report from the Observer about the early plans for Mania 32's main event being Brock vs Rock. That match has been rumored as a Mania match ever since Rock-Cena II ended and Brock's return.

Ideally, that's exactly what they'd do. If WWE had the ability to push guys long-term anymore, Bray Wyatt would be the next generation's iconic, creepy "Taker-esque" character. If they did go with something similar to my idea though, I have a feeling he'd follow it up strong for a couple months and then job to R-Truth or something.

I find it really weird that Sting vs. Triple H is being built up on WWE vs. WCW in 2015. Do you think they might bring back WCW as a brand? It seems ridiculous, but a whole bunch of talent could very easily be presented as disgruntled enough to jump to a rival product (that the WWE would obviously own).

Really doubt it. Roster isn't strong enough in quantity or in big star names to support it.
However, they did have a great chance a few years ago to revive the WCW name when Mania was in Atlanta. Same year of a rumored WCW themed HoF class that never happened.

I would jump for joy if they split the rosters again in any capacity, especially if they go back to having different writing crews for the two brands. The writers clearly get burned out having to write 5 hours of television every week, even more if you count Main Event and Superstars.
Would give chances for guys to get screen time who don't normally get to be on, either.
I've said it time and again but I loved the initial brand split because it really did feel like two different shows and I felt compelled to watch both so I could see guys I wouldn't see on Raw.
#1-norm-fan
03-23-2015, 12:00 AM
I wouldn't mind them splitting the rosters as long as they don't split the title in two again. There should always be ONE guy who can claim to be at the very top. Having one brand with the US Title as its own title and one brand with the IC Title as its own while the World champion can go between brands as long as he holds the title would be fine.
Only reason it wouldn't work now is because the shows aren't on a level playing field. Smackdown just isn't as accessible and they wouldn't devote guys to it exclusively so it would just become a mess where everyone wrestles everywhere despite a "roster split" again.

They'd need JR in the booth just for the "Aw, sonouva BITCH!!!"
Also, I disagree with hating on the dual champion idea in brand splitting. The only reason that seemed "stupid" is naming. If they had went ahead and called the one show WCW, it would have made more sense to the world at large. Having two guys on the same level in two arms of the same company is what made that idea only a little hokey. That, and being uncreative on the belt names. (WWE Heavyweight and The World Heavyweight might have been more palatable if they were like World Champion Red Division/Blue Division or something) was still pretty solid of an idea, though, until they'd get shit like wanting to milk the newly formed Cena gravy train on both brands and eventually circling back to seeing the same talent for most of both shows instead of letting the format of split rosters serve the intended purpose of additional exposure of underused talent.

Blink-182’s Travis Barker revealed in an interview with Billboard.com that he’s learning a song that he, Kid Ink, David Guetta and Skylar Grey will be performing at Wrestlemania 31.
Barker, a long-time WWE fan, didn’t reveal what the song is or how it will be incorporated into Sunday’s PPV, but he will be performing live.
According to PWInsider.com, it’s highly unlikely The Undertaker will appear on Raw tonight.
The plan has been to keep ‘Taker off WWE TV until WrestleMania 31, and as of now those plans do not seem to have changed.
According to Variety, Viacom’s Paramount has signed up with NBCU and WWE to promote the new Terminator: Genisys film. The article notes that Triple H, “will make a grand entrance using imagery from the movie” at WrestleMania 31.
For what it's worth, Samoa Joe told some of the boys at the Queens, NYC show on Friday night that he is, in fact, bound for WWE in April.
It is believed his final indy show will be for WrestleCentre in Canada on April 9th, where he faces Christopher Daniels in the main event.
It is still yet to be determined where he goes, but it looks more and more like he is definitely going to NXT first, as it's Triple H that has more interest in him than Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn.
"Four key, tentpole marketing opportunities have been created for advertisers to take advantage of by utilizing WWE’s powerful engagement at scale:
* “The Road To WrestleMania” – a 32-day build up to the Super Bowl of sports entertainment.
* “The Slammy Awards” – an amped up version of WWE’s annual awards show that moves to first quarter in the heart of the red carpet season.
* “Champions of Fatherhood” – a special series which turns the spotlight on America’s unsung heroes.
* “Heroes of Tomorrow” – a way to highlight WWE’s legion of young fans."
Part of a new joint project between the WWE and NBC with the Slammy awards show getting revamped as a result.

This is what I would be behind. Maybe allow Triple H to run SmackDown. I'd suggest Heyman, but I don't think they want him around the creative end. But maybe he could consult? Take some of the talent that Vince "just doesn't see anything in" and have them tear it up on Thursdays and possibly on Tuesdays when they can start doing live Main Event broadcasts on the Network again.
Maybe start with the Intercontinental Title as the flagship title of the brand, but after a while, why not bring back the World Heavyweight Champion? A good old-fashioned tournament for the Big Gold Belt would be pretty cool. The title only stops meaning shit when they have two within the same show.
In storylines, Seth could be the reason the WWE Title becomes exclusive to RAW again. He could cash-in on Roman Reigns and then refuse to defend the title on Main Event/SmackDown.
Give Triple H and the bluer brand first access to NXT talent. He'll know how to establish them and then they can move along once people know who they are and what they are about.

The vignette will not only show WWE stars in action but highlight many of their charitable works. “It’s a big part of what we do,” said Wilson. “We need to tell the world that we are not just ‘rasslin.'”

Brock has to cheat to beat Roman Reigns, after the finish The Rock comes out to settle the score because nobody's gonna treat his cousin like that, smack smack, Rock Bottom, people's elbow. Rock helps roman to the back. Seth Rollins cashes in on Brock and walks out of WM The Champion.
Brock vs Rock is booked for Wrestlemania 32 the next night on Raw.

You know what could save Jack Swagger's tailspin?
Lana.
She already has a hard time remaining heel because all the males in the crowd want to fuck her silly, and with Rusev already established to speak English/dropped the total refusal to speak in English from his gimmick AND being made to be upset about granting Cena a title match, he can start being a dick towards her because of it. After losses (he can't stay unbeaten forever) he blames and berates her. Swagger steps in like a "real American, All-American, American ...gentleman" and comes in for the rescue. Classic and simple.
"Oh, why she gotta be a damsel in distress?"
Look, they already went the 80's US vs. USSR route, might as well make it a total 80's movie cliché. And it would be an excuse to actually have Swaggs in a leather bomber jacket and aviators.

Agreed. Read somewhere that Vince wants Lana to turn face, and accept 'America'. This could be a good way to do it.
And, during the Rusev / Swagger bout on Raw this week, Cole mentioned something on the lines of 'speculation about Rusev and Lana not seeing eye to eye' because of how Cena got the match.

Eh. I'd still prefer the battle royal be on the main show. It's something they could build up as prestigious over the years but not if it's not on the card. They could even have it open the show and Miz vs Mizdow later if they really wanted to do that. Or they could build Miz vs Mizdow properly and not have the big match be impromptu with no hype. Actually, they should have done that leading into WrestleMania but... yeah.

Road to Mania dirtsheets sponsored by a dancing Cesaro:
http://i.imgur.com/4SkqcjR.gif
It will be interesting to see what happens with The Undertaker at WWE's WrestleMania 31 on Sunday. WWE has wanted to have his retirement match at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas next year but that will likely depend on what happens creatively Sunday and Taker's overall health.
WWE officials are looking to load WrestleMania 32 up since they want to fill Cowboys Stadium and break attendance records. The idea is that any talent who is a Legend and can still perform, besides the retired Ric Flair of course, will probably get asked to work the show.
One person close to the situation said that as of right now, with Lesnar inked, Rock vs. Lesnar is the planned main event for WrestleMania 32, but noted how quickly things change, especially given Rock's scheduling.
WWE's been trying to get this match done at Mania since 2012.
The autopsy report from the Baja California Attorney General's Office said that Perro Aguayo Jr. fractured his C-1, C-2 and C-3 vertebrae in his neck and passed away on the way to the hospital, which contradicted the report he was alive while at the hospital. They could not pinpoint exactly what happened to do so, but said it was two different moments of impact and that no level or speed of medical treatment would have made a difference. The Mexico City commission noted that Aguayo Jr. had been given a complete physical 15 days earlier (probably the night of the 3/6 AAA show in Mexico City) and he was fine.
Rey Bucanero said he talked with Rey Mysterio Jr. and said Mysterio Jr. told him that he is leaning toward retirement. Mysterio Jr. is scheduled to be in Santa Clara tonight which would be his first public interview and in San Jose later for Wrestlecon.
A lot of people have started to become concerned with Rey's overall well-being especially since the funeral.
Many senior WWE officials, including Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, have been making the rounds and meeting with several of the top movie studios while in Los Angeles, California this week. As noted recently, HHH and Stephanie met with executives at Paramount Pictures on Tuesday. WWE reached an agreement with Paramount to promote Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new “Terminator” film all the way through its’ release in July, a deal that calls for use of imagery from the film in HHH’s entrance at WrestleMania 31 this Sunday.
I have been told that Brock Lesnar's contract is set for 3 years at $3 million a year. Brock is working a limited schedule during this new contract just like he was with his older contract.
The WWE championship match has been heavily discussed since Brock has confirmed to be staying with WWE. Writers have been working night and day with Vince, Triple H and their inner circle on possible outcomes for the match. I am being told that Vince is on board with the idea of having Brock retain the WWE title, Cena win the U.S. title and either Sheamus or Daniel Bryan winning the I.C. title. It is still not confirmed however what role if any Sheamus will play at WrestleMania.
I have also been told Roman Reigns is being compared to Lex Luger and his push in 1993 and early 1994. Lex was pushed to the moon but never got over as the WWE wanted at the time. Thus Vince went with the fan favorite Bret Hart and Luger fizzled of into mid-card status.
I have also been told that Dean Ambrose is to get a heavy push leading into SummerSlam.
From the usual source on Reddit.
$3 million figure is incorrect.
Vince's take on Reigns as Luger is incorrect. Vince very high on him still.
The writers have zero to do with Brock vs. Reigns. It is all Vince. HHH may have some influence, but he'd be the only one because Vince is not taking input from anyone except him, and it's possible he'll listen to Heyman. Also, whatever his idea is, he's not telling ANYONE (except maybe HHH or if Dwayne' s involved, and I don't know if he is or not) as of today.
Whatever Sheamus is doing, and he is booked on the show, is already planned out and all the key people know what it is.
From the Observer debunking everything the usual Reddit source stated.
I've been given the impression that if Kevin Owens can be ready, they would do Owens vs. Finn Balor for the title as the San Jose main event this week. The time line I was originally given and what I was told is that Owens wouldn't be wrestling due to his recent arthroscopic knee surgery, and those close to him say it's unlikely he can be ready for a match this week. It would be very early, but it's not unheard of for people to come back that quickly from that surgery. Officially, the word from WWE is that both Owens and Sami Zayn (who has been out of action the past few weeks with a shoulder injury) will be part of the show, saying nothing more.
WrestleMania go-home episode of WWE RAW drew 4.19 million viewers, up 7% from last week's 3.919 million viewers.
For this week's show, the first hour drew 4.178 million viewers before rising to 4.342 million viewers for the second hour. The audience dropped 7% to 4.043 million viewers for the third and final hour.
Ended up being the highest rated and viewed episode this Mania season but also down around 500,000 million viewers compared to last year. Overall weekly average loss was around 400,000 compared to last year and ratings hit an 18-year low for the season.
Some other sheet news include:
Lucha Underground is starting to crackdown on people bringing phones and other devices to events to prevent results being leaked.
Current plans for post-Mania feuds and Payback ppv matches are:
Cena vs Rusev for US title, Bryan vs. Ambrose vs. Barrett for IC title, and Rollins vs Reigns (may or may not involve WWE title).
According to the Observer, RAW's tug-o-war ending was due to the WWE not wanting to commit to any plans until Lesnar made his decision.
Finn Balor's call up from the NXT is currently rumored to happen shortly after Mania 31.
Recent B.S. podcast episode had Hulk Hogan as its guest. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/b-s-report-hulk-hogan/

I'm also feeling the double-turn in the main event coming. If Brock is sticking around, it would make sense for them to try and squeeze money out of him by having him turn face after getting screwed by Heyman. I'm thinking that Reigns may win cleanly, however, but then he and Heyman shake hands after the match, with Heyman telling Reigns to make more of a statement, Brock to lay out Reigns after Reigns goes back on the attack, and then Rollins cashes in.

I'm also feeling a Dolph Ziggler heel turn in the next couple of months. He is over as a face, but there are a lot of top faces waiting to crack through. Ziggler could stand out more as a heart-breaking heel after a shocking turn on Daniel Bryan.

Or Bryan turns heel.

Bryan can work heel incredibly well, but it seems like a money piss-away to turn him. That being said, it doesn't really feel like the company wants to make money off him. So...

Seriously, just turn Dolph heel and have him claim he's been having an affair with Brie, including doctored up photos. Wooo!
