Dirtsheets (All from F4W or Observer except the 1st) :

NXT superstar Corey Graves got injured at WWE Axxess. He was wrestling a match against Troy McClain but at some point got injured and rolled out of the ring. The match was declared a no contest and trainers came out to help Graves to the back.

At Axxess, Triple H and Bruno Sammartino unveiled a Bruno statue to go along with the Andre the Giant statue. It's a lot more realistic looking than the Andre statue, which is kind of an idealized, muscular version of Andre circa WrestleMania 3.

If a second season of Legends' House does happen this summer, former hit reality show star Hulk Hogan is, amazingly enough, likely to be a cast member. That makes me sad for some reason, even though I'm completely aware it shouldn't.

Tons of reports from the New Orleans airport that there are huge "YES!" chants as people get off flights from all over the world. It's probably not an exaggeration to say we might get the biggest pop in the history of pro wrestling on planet Earth when Daniel Bryan wins.

Cities are already bidding on WrestleMania 33 in 2017. Expect the announcement of the secret-but-already-decided-on WrestleMania 32 site this October.

Next year in Santa Clara, the last weekly NXT show before WrestleMania will most likely be live from Axxess.

ESPN will be covering WrestleMania (and SummerSlam) as part of whatever deal was made to start using Jonathan Coachman again.

Overall thoughts so far:

1) It is stupid to have the red carpet inside the arena in front of the stage.
2) I have a feeling several superstars aren't crazy about having to be "on" while having their families with them for this event.
3) I want to lick Renee Young's cooter.
4) Stone Cold is awesome.
5) Jim Duggan looks awesome in a suit.
6) Ultimate Warrior's speech will result in many WWE superstars and legends making a bunch of money or losing a bunch of money on bets.
7) Michael Hayes is a P.I.M.P.

Random thought:

I want Sami Zayn & Adrian Neville to debut together as a tag team on the RAW After Mania to face The Real Americans. They manage to upset The Real Americans, and tension continues to form between Cesaro & Swagger. Zayn & Neville continue beating them, in both tag team matches and singles matches, leading to the Real Americans splitting and Zayn & Neville earning a Tag Team Title shot.

I'm actually talked myself into wanting to see John Cena defeat Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania.

Keeping The Shield together for now is probably the best move, as they can still move a lot of merchandise and be an attraction as a unit. Why ruin that and have these three need to find identities on their own? Especially since being the heavy in the background who doesn't say much helps out Reigns so much.

The Shield defeat Kane & The New Age Outlaws and let everybody know that the NXT Generation is here, and that the Reality Era has set in and these old guys can't hang with them anymore. I also think that The Shield will then set their targets back on what their goal was as tensions began to seep into their ranks -- namely proving that they are the baddest faction on the planet. You have a referee bump in the John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt match, and Luke Harper and Erick Rowan will be able to enter the fray and help out Bray. It looks like Cena is about to taste defeat when the lights go out and suddenly The Shield are in the ring with The Wyatt Family. Ambrose, Reigns & Rollins cancel out Luke Harper & Erick Rowan, and even physically put their hands on Bray. A superkick from Rollins into an Attitude Adjustment from Cena as the referee is coming to would be a sick way to end this match.

Don't say it doesn't accomplish anything:

* Bray Wyatt and his Family have had their purpose in WWE derailed by a group they thought they were done with when they beat them twice.

* Wyatt looks like he had Cena beat.

* Cena gets to keep his "legacy" alive, and that is good for merchandise.

* If kids are going to dress up as members of The Shield and buy all their potential merchandise, then having The Shield help out John Cena on the grandest stage of them all and having Cena endebted to them is a great way to transfer some of the Cenation's power onto Ambrose, Reigns & Rollins.

* John Cena gets a big win and that logically puts him in line for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. Cena and Bryan have had on-air discussions about having a fair match with one another. This time Bryan would be the champion and Cena would be the guy with something to prove. And with his admittedly tainted victory over Bray Wyatt, Cena could still have something of a chip on his shoulder, leading to some "I need to beat you, Daniel" moments. Can you imagine an Extreme Rules Match between these two that starts off being contested with respect for one another, but then breaks down into absolute anarchy as it becomes apparent both men will do whatever it takes to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion (something Cena has never accomplished in his career that Daniel Bryan has, adding even more psychological depth to the rivalry).

* We approach Extreme Rules and we have The Wyatt Family vs. The Shield as a logical match for that card. What "extreme" gimmick is there that allows factions to battle? One that hasn't been run into the ground and that Triple H is a fan of? One that would coincide with an NWA/WCW Icon potentially debuting in the WWE?

Mr. Nerfect
04-06-2014, 04:10 AM
I've also randomly decided that I think Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton at Extreme Rules would be cool.

* Daniel Bryan forces Triple H to submit and pins Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXX to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

* Triple H is furious...at Randy Orton for losing the match. "You let Daniel Bryan beat you -- you're meant to be The Face of the WWE," etc. Triple H gives Orton his rematch on the RAW After Mania, but if he loses, there will be hell to pay for Randy Orton.

* For some reason it is made a 2/3 Falls Match.

* Elsewhere on the show, Paul Heyman cuts a masterful promo where he puts over The Undertaker's performance at WrestleMania XXX, defeating Brock Lesnar. Heyman says that if Brock Lesnar couldn't defeat The Undertaker, then no one can defeat The Undertaker. He finally understands why The Undertaker challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at WrestleMania XXX now -- because now the streak can rest unbroken.

* The Undertaker comes out and tells Paul Heyman that the streak will end when The Undertaker wants it to end. Brock Lesnar then attacks The Undertaker from behind out of nowhere and beats him around the ringside area. An F5 through the announce table is used to write The Undertaker off. Heyman tells The Undertaker that he might be unbeatable at WrestleMania, but on any other night, Brock Lesnar is the baddest man on this planet.

* In the main event, Bryan wins the first fall, getting the clean submission win, with Orton tapping out quickly to avoid hurting his chances in the later falls.

* Orton wins the second fall, defeating Bryan after an RKO out of nowhere. Orton gets to pin the man who beat him for the title, which helps him bounce back a little bit, and creates the appropriate drama for the final fall.

* Orton hits an RKO on the floor and rolls Bryan back into the ring, but the new champ manages to kick out at two. Orton goes for a punt, but Bryan makes a comeback and manages to hit the Knee Plus for the victory.

* Triple H takes issue with Orton failing to win back the title at Extreme Rules. "I even gave you an extra chance in there, Randy, what with it being a 2/3 Falls Match and all..." Orton is visibly getting his fill. Triple H tells Randy that he's worthless to this company if he's not The Viper anymore. Michael Cole or Jerry Lawler points out that Triple H might be pushing his own insecurities onto Randy Orton, who was just WWE World Heavyweight Champion for four months. Triple H eventually slaps Orton and gets an RKO for his trouble. Something has snapped inside Orton and lines up Triple H for the dreaded punt and connects with Triple H's skull.

* Randy Orton takes Triple H's WWE.com interview time and says that just went blank on RAW, but he regrets nothing. Triple H wanted The Viper back? Well he got him...

* Stephanie McMahon is furious with Randy Orton on RAW and has barred him from the arena. "Orton has been fined more money than you people could ever afford. He hurt my husband and it's not enough for me to fire you, Randy -- I want to see you suffer..."

* Paul Heyman interrupts and apologizes for being so crude, but it seems The Authority has a Viper problem. Heyman and Stephanie can bring up their past together, and even take some jabs at each other, but Heyman eventually proposes a scenario to Stephanie McMahon: Brock Lesnar takes care of Randy Orton at Extreme Rules. In exchange for that, Stephanie McMahon declares Brock Lesnar the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Stephanie McMahon says "Done," and the match is on.

* Randy Orton is promoted as The Viper. The youngest man to capture the World Heavyweight Championship in its twelve-year history in the WWE. A twelve-time World Champion. The man to unify the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships. Master of the RKO, which can come out of nowhere and beat any man. A warrior who can end a career in the blink of an eye with his punt.

* Brock Lesnar is promoted as The Beast. The youngest man to ever capture the WWE Championship. A three-time WWE Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Master of the F5, which can come out of nowhere and beat any man. A warrior who can end a career in the blink of an eye with his Kimura Lock submission.

* Both men's attitudes: I'm going to put the other man down at Extreme Rules.

I'm just finding out what's going to be happening during the pre-show tonight and apparently, the first hour that's available on pretty much anything and everything is going to be just a bunch of interviews, and I'm assuming recap promos. So basically, it's an hour of talking.

The second hour, which is only available on the WWE Network, will have the Tag Team Championship match, which is weird because the WWE Network is only available in the USA. It's kind of like the WWE are saying "If you're not an American, you can't watch the match".

It looks like anyone who isn't American will have to resort to a stream in order to watch the match or just not watch it at all. Though I do know there are a certain amount of people outside the USA that have the WWE Network already, due to falsifying postcodes and stuff like that.

Clever, sir.

WWE has had better matches than ever before on a weekly basis, and they have more newer stars/midcard featured in a WrestleMania than they have in years. Isn't that what you people who think wrestling should be akin to the works of Homer and Plato have been complaining about? Too many part timers and not creating enough new stars? Checking out Betfair at the minute and along with the usual bets, they also have:

CM Punk to make a surprise appearance?
Yes - 6/4
No - 1/2

How many 'Big Boot and Leg Drop' Combo's will Hulk Hogan deliver?
0 - 4/11
1-2 - 6/4
3-4 - 12/1
5+ - 20/1

How many times will Hulk Hogan say 'Brother'?
Over 5.5 - 2/7
Under 5.5 - 5/2

Will Hulk Hogan Tear His Tank Top Off?
Yes - 1/14
No -6/1

The absurdity and ridiculousness is quite aggravating, is it not? Now you know how I feel every time we get into a back-and-forth eternal argument that goes in more circles than Kelly Kelly in college.

Well at least you admit it was an absurd thing to say.

I'd put money on 0 big boot/legdrop combos. Seems like his back might turn to dust if he tried to deliver a legdrop at this point.

Thing I don't understand about odds is why would people bet on "YES" if it costs them more than they win back?

Also going to pick No, 0, Over, and No as my odds bets

I think 6/4 means for every 400 bet, they stand to win 600. So in that case, you actually win more than you bet.

No. At 6/4, if you bet 400, you'd get 600 back PLUS your 400 stake so you'd have 1000, 600 of which would be winnings. I used to work in a betting shop.

The Undertaker was taken to a local New Orleans hospital via ambulance after last night’s WWE WrestleMania XXX due to the fear that he suffered a concussion and a possible neck injury. The last word was that Taker was expected to remain there overnight for observation.

The apparent injury had no bearing on the finish of the match, which ended exactly as planned. The injury is believed to have happened early in the match when Undertaker took a bad fall off a single leg.

Watching Triple H in WCW 20 years ago. Who'd have imagine in their wildest dreams that he would end up close to running one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world? It's insane to think about. 20 years from now, a guy like Zack Ryder or Trent Barretta or anyone could find themselves in a similar position.

I'm still amused by the fact that Cody Rhodes has been an active WWE wrestler for years now, and I remember him being part of some Dusty Rhodes ("...and you crossed the line when you involved my thuuuun, Coday!") angle when he had to be like 7.

$$$$. It was a draw. Even though the match with Lesnar wasn't very good at all, at least until the end, people still showed in part to see it. Now that it's gone, that's money WWE can't bank on anymore.

Other than that, Fan was pretty correct about the moment it would create and the lasting impression that will be left. Looking on it a few days later, I think it was the right call. How else do you end his career?

Dirtsheets:

Within the company, between Vince, HHH, and the top veteran wrestlers in the company, everyone belives that Reigns is the next top star. It has also been reported that Reigns has been passing all of the "tests" he has been given, on camera and backstage.

It was noted on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that this Wednesday's episode of WWE Main Event on ION will be the final airing of the show on the network. ION never renewed the show, so it will be exclusively airing on the WWE Network going forward.

As noted, Christian wasn't able to compete in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX because he hasn't been cleared of the concussion he suffered due to a stiff superkick from Alberto Del Rio at RAW in Brooklyn. Christian's future was a hot topic backstage at WrestleMania last night. There is still no timetable for his return

With the recent changes to WWE's Flinstones movie script, CM Punk is out and Rey Mysterio is in. The Undertaker will also be featured. The line-up for the film includes Rey, Taker, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Vince McMahon and The Bella Twins.

The idea of doing The Shield vs. Evolution (Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton) has been pitched, possibly for the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, depending on who challenges Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. There's speculation that we will see an Evolution vs. The Shield War Games match but it probably won't happen. The idea of bringing back War Games has been brought up many times over the years but Vince McMahon always shoots it down.

According to PWInsider.com, word backstage in WWE is that RVD's current run will take him through SummerSlam, at which point he will likely take another hiatus.

According to PWInsider.com, there has been a lot of talk over the past week as to who the new Paul Heyman guy will be in WWE. Cesaro wasn't an initial lock as the company debated several names, but in the end the decision was made to pair Heyman with Cesaro following Cesaro's big Andre the Giant Battle Royal win at WrestleMania. Heyman needed someone new to represent because Brock Lesnar will indeed be taking another hiatus from WWE following his match against Undertaker at 'Mania, and his appearance on Raw last night

As we reported last week here on the website, Irish wrestler Prince Devitt recently attended a TNA live event Dublin, Ireland. According to sources, Devitt met with TNA officials about the possibility of joining the company, but he was basically just doing them a courtesy with no real intention of working for TNA.

If he was to leave New Japan Pro Wrestling, it would only be for WWE, who he's been courted by in recent months.

Ellis Mbeh, a.k.a. 'Shocked Undertaker Guy,' speaks to WWE.com

http://www.wwe.com/f/wysiwyg/image/2014/04/20140409_TEMPLATE_EP_LIGHT_ShockedTakerFanHOMPAGE.jpg

We were all feeling it. Ellis Mbeh was just the first to put a face to it.

The now-famous fan whose flabbergasted face appeared on WWE Network after Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30, Mbeh’s reaction (the best since Angry Miz Girl in 2010) not only spread across the Internet faster than Grumpy Cat on a jetski, it earned him a catchy — in an obvious way — nickname among wrestling fans: “Shocked Undertaker Guy.”

Hilarious memes and fake Twitter accounts followed in droves, but when WWE.com got in touch with the man himself, what we got was an unexpectedly tender story of a childhood dream fulfilled—one that happened to involve a cameo appearance from Matt Hardy. When you hear it, your jaws just might drop, too.

WWE.COM: You became the unofficial face of 21-1 at the end of The Undertaker match. What was going through your mind at that moment?

ELLIS MBEH: I was actually rooting for Brock Lesnar! For the past few years I’ve been rooting [against The Streak]. I rooted for Triple H, who is my favorite wrestler … I rooted for CM Punk. But I never expected [any of them would win]. I knew Undertaker would win. Somehow, someway, Undertaker always wins. So with Brock, in my head I didn’t think it would actually happen, you know? When it happened, my mind was stopped. It was like, “Oh my God, what happened … I just witnessed history.”

WWE.COM: At what point did you realize you’d become an Internet sensation?

MBEH: I realized when someone behind me in the second row tapped my shoulder and showed me a phone. [It was a meme that said], “The face you made when you realized Undertaker lost.” And I was like, “Oh, crap.”

WWE.COM: Did you have a favorite out of all the memes that were made of your reaction?

MBEH: There are some pictures up there where everyone’s face was my face, like the guys behind me all have my face. There are a lot of them, and the majority are funny.

WWE.COM: You also got a shout-out from Matt Hardy on Twitter. What was that like?

MBEH: That was cool. I saw it when I was coming back to the hotel and realized, “Oh wow, everyone saw this.” It was cool that Matt said, “Be cool, it’s okay, embrace it.” It was helpful, because it helped me get back to the fact that … I was there for history.

WWE.COM: You’ve been to two WrestleManias. What were some of the highlights of your experiences?

MBEH: Last year was all about meeting Triple H. His [book, “Building a Better Game”] was the first one I actually read outside of school. It gave me confidence that I could work out. At one point I weighed 375 pounds, and that was in 2010, 2011. Something happened with me in a hospital I couldn’t explain; my blood pressure was really high … I took what I learned from Triple H and just committed myself. Every day I just went to the gym, worked out for hours with what I saw in the book and I just stayed determined. I know for a fact that if I’d never read his book I would not be here.

WWE.COM: What happened when you met him?

MBEH: Someone told me I only had 30 seconds, so I go “OK. I’ll just say what I have to say real quick, show him [my before and after picture] and that’s it.” I’d never been to Axxess before, never been to WrestleMania before.

I get in line and I’m third in line, my wife is right behind me, and the two guys in front of me just walk away. I guess they were going to see other Superstars. So out of nowhere, I was first and I’m crapping my pants. All the planning I had about 30 seconds ago is gone. I see him and he’s like, “How you doin,’ man?” and I go, “Um, I’m good.” He signed my title belt and I said, “I just want to thank you for saving my life,” and I just started crying. I just kept on talking and he just stopped and looked at me and I told him everything.

Like, who in the world gets to [meet] the person who saved their life, you know? People don’t get that moment. And he just listened to everything I said and he said, “I’m proud of you. You say you look up to me, but I’m proud of you.” Just hearing that made me feel like I did something right. He got the camera crew, we did an interview, he told me he was proud of me, he hugged me and that was it, but it meant a lot to me.

WWE.COM: What about this year?

ELLIS: When I met John Cena, I told him, “as a fan, I like you and dislike you.” I like him because he’s a great person to kids and a great role model. Also I train at CrossFit, and we always talk about him. We lift cleans, jerks and deadlifts. We always see him do it and we’re really impressed. I respect his work ethic and his training ethic. But I told him I dislike him because he beat my heroes. He beat Shawn Michaels, he beat Triple H. He said he can respect that, he stood up, shook my hand and took a picture. It was a very, very cool moment.

During Axxess, I [also] met Xavier Woods. I told him the coolest thing from his debut was when he did the Power Ranger thing, yelled “It’s Morphin’ Time!” flipped and did an actual Power Ranger jump. That was so cool. He said, “Yeah, man, it’s all about embracing your inner geekdom. There’s no reason anyone should be ashamed of what they love or what they’re passionate about.”

WWE.com: So we’re going to end on a fun question, because this is all about fun. Who would win in a bench press contest: You or “Brock Lesnar Guy”?

ELLIS: Oh, me! I can totally bench more than Brock Lesnar Guy.

WWE.COM: That could happen for WrestleMania 31, you never know.

ELLIS: I rep 225 pounds. If it happens at WrestleMania 31, I guarantee I will win. He’s not ready.

Dirtsheets:

Regarding the decision to end Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania, there is said to be a number of people in the company who were very unhappy about that decision, but couldn't -- and won't -- say anything about it publicly.

The decision was reportedly made by Vince McMahon, not Undertaker himself. There are conflicting reports regarding the call. Some "in the know" claim that McMahon had to talk Undertaker into it, while others, also "in the know," say McMahon made the call and Undertaker simply went with it.

Apparently referee Chad Patton, who was the official in the ring for the Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania XXX, was not aware that Lesnar was going over in the bout. In fact, he was informed ahead of time that Undertaker was going to win the match.

With the ring clear, A.J. put the black widow on Naomi. The idea of the finish was that Lee was to grab Naomi’s hand and tap with it, which was to set up a rematch on TV. For whatever reason, as she was doing it, Naomi tapped with the other hand.

Observer also states WWE and Sting have officially signed a deal but won't be showing up any time soon and it includes tv dates.

lol TNA. Samoa Joe has been trying to get a one on one "fair shot" at Magnus for months, and MVP has just been doing weird stuff to "try to make it fair" like chaining Abyss to himself at ringside, and booking a four way match....

Eric Young gets a title shot and he is just like "Abyss is barred from ringside, and anyone who comes out is fired"

Seems like decision making like that would have helped him to give Samoa Joe his fair shot.

Sting (Steve Borden) has agreed to terms on a deal with WWE according to a report by Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He's deal includes appearances on WWE television. Whether or not they will be regular remains to be seen. As reported on earlier, Sting has been in talks with WWE for some time after his deal with TNA expired last year. He had stated publicly that he wanted to work a match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. With that now likely not to happen, what plans WWE has for him now going forward remains to be seen.

Dirtsheets:

inDemand confirmed carrying Extreme Rules. The show is on 5/4. It’s significant because all the major cable systems are adopting a wait and see attitude, but inDemand assures coverage in every cable system, but not for dish owners. The dish networks had been more critical than inDemand of WWE and both had made threats not to carry shows. Thus far, DirecTV has carried every show. Dish Network skipped Elimination Chamber, but it made no difference.

There is renewed interest in signing NFL players who are still young, but their careers in football are over, for developmental. It may be because of the success with Rawley and Reigns, since both are big guys who are extremely agile for their size, and the feeling that they’ve got an endless supply these days of smaller guys who are good workers. To me right now, physical size and look, which has probably been a huge deal for more than a century in the business, has never meant less because fans know it’s a work and who are real tough guys doesn’t matter. Nobody, and I mean nobody, ever asks if it was real or who would win between guys in pro wrestling, or goes with the idea that even though wrestling matches aren’t real, that pro wrestlers, if it was real would be the toughest guys in a fight. Still, you can see the company mentality, because whenever they have a press conference, they bring in the Divas and dress them up but just use them as greeters, and the usual crew is Khali, Show, Henry, Cena, HHH, and then often Del Rio (for someone to speak Spanish) although now Bryan has to be added just because he’s such a signature star.

There is talk of Kidd being repackaged. He did do the Lucha gimmick a few months ago with Ricardo Rodriguez as a tag team, and does some house shows, but hasn’t been used much on television. At this point, he’s far better known for being Natalya’s husband on Total Divas.

Following the main roster call-ups of Adam Rose and Bo Dallas, WWE's plan is to bring Sami Zayn and The Ascension tag team up next.

TNA talents continue to be nervous because nothing has been announced regarding a renewal of TNA's contract with Spike TV. There is talk that one of the reasons they are going into the expensive New York market for tapings this summer is because it's a way to impress Spike officials that they are still looking to improve and that the Northeast audience will come across more rabid on TV.

According to PWI, Chris Saban is leaving TNA once his current contract is done (around August).
