Sami Zayn really needs a finishing move. They should do an angle where he realizes that the reason that he is a perpetual loser of big matches is that he hasn't got a finishing move.
He's got the Helluva Kick...... that's about the only "signature" move he has....

No see, you crossed over two cultures there.
"I'm gone get lit" is something that most people that are black and/or ghetto, wtf ever you wanna call it.

According to the WWE and other estimates, Mania 30 broke the record for most buys in Mania history but won't break Mania 29's record for most money grossed.
The WWE has updated their estimates for the WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view number with the current total of 690,000 buys worldwide with a breakdown of 351,000 buys in North America (which includes Canada and Puerto Rico, and also shows that their initial estimate of “nearly” 400,000 for the U.S. alone was high and the actual number of U.S. buys lower than first thought) and 339,000 international buys.
WWE announced 667,000 WWE Network subscribers the day after the show, so combined with the PPV buys, that would be a combined 1,357,000 people paying, in some form, for the show.

Dirtsheets:
Rollins’ turn on Ambrose and Reigns was decided upon on Sunday afternoon. There was a brief tease in the post-game show after Payback, that wasn’t subtle, but didn’t exactly make people expect the turn either.
One person close to the situation said that Vince McMahon, who was making all the decisions regarding this angle, took the same approach that he’s done many times when main eventers are injured. The situation was compared with the 2012 Hell in a Cell show where McMahon presumed John Cena would be ready to face C.M. Punk, didn’t have anything planned in case Cena’s recovery wasn’t record breaking. This led to the Ryback vs. Punk Hell in a Cell match where Punk had to win and end Ryback’s streak ...
The problem is that Bryan’s rehabilitation of his right arm is going slower than anticipated. One person said that not only is he not makings gains, but he’s actually losing strength in the arm while doing rehab, which is concerning ...
Because of that, there was no certainty and they created the Money in the Bank backup plan because they didn’t want to do a PPV without the world title at stake. The idea is Payback had it at stake in the angle ...
As of right now, if Bryan doesn’t work, they will do a ladder match for the title. They are considering a second ladder match where the winner would have the briefcase, but right now they are going with the idea Bryan vs. Kane will headline.
We can confirm that the long-term plan for the SummerSlam main event right now is Bryan vs. Lesnar for the title as one of the main events. So if/when Lesnar vs. Cesaro takes place as part of a Cesaro turn, it would be after that point.

Dirtsheets:
Regarding Undertaker, when he has been asked if he’s coming back for WrestleMania after the concussion from the PPV and all the other injuries he’s had, he has said in the last week or two that it wasn’t looking good. He is back training in the gym.
As far as Sting goes, things were going very smoothly, but the deal ultimately offered ended up being similar to the standard $10,000 legends contract without any other guarantees. They are still in talks.
As far as Tough Enough is concerned, things have been moving slowly. Originally the filming was to start the first week of July in Orlando, but right now that could change and the key people they are looking at for the show are not locked in, and obviously at this point, time is starting to be of the essence.
The company is working on a new Randy Savage DVD.
WWE has quietly put money into DDP’s deal to help Jake Roberts and Scott Hall, paying for people who are experienced with rehab to help out if there are any problems. Both battle their demons on a daily basis. Roberts was doing indies this weekend and the wrestlers invited him to the strip club after the show, and Roberts declined, and said if he wound up there, he knows what would happen next. Roberts has also been in contact with Wyatt, giving him advice at times on the character.

As noted, Tamina Snuka had knee surgery this week. Word is that it was major surgery and she's expected out of action approximately six months. It's said that the injury did happen in a match and the last one she wrestled was against Paige.
Nothing is definite regarding Bryan right now and The Wrestling Observer reports that there's a feeling among some that even if it's not the best thing for him, Bryan will end up wrestling at Money In the Bank later this month because of how tough mentally is and how he always wants to be in the thick of what's going on. It's said there is tremendous real life pressure being put on Bryan right now to be ready, whether it's directly said or just implied.
As seen on this week's RAW and Main Event, Cody Rhodes is picking new partners for his brother Goldust. Monday he tagged with Sin Cara and on Tuesday he teamed with Kofi Kingston. The idea is that Cody will continue to pick new partners for Goldust but they will keep losing. This will build to the next stage of the feud between Cody and Goldust.
There is a belief among some people in WWE that as a way to downplay controversy and negative feelings when people leave the company, that they have chosen to just let contracts run out instead of suddenly announcing releases.
Rusev vs Mark Henry is possibly going to be added to the card for Money in the Bank.
Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns is currently planned for the June 29th WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view. The idea is that Reigns vs. Rollins would happen at Battleground with Reigns vs. Triple H happening at SummerSlam.

I "met" Jericho backstage at Disney's Hollywood Studios in probably 2010. His VIP Tour Guide had just parked near the office building that I was heading toward in my golf cart. We passed each other near the gate near Pixar Place. Did a double-take then gave him an "I recognize you and am a fan, but I respect your privacy. What's up?" wave and smile. He smiled and responded with an "I appreciate that. Things are going well. Hope you can say the same. Enjoy your day, kind sir" wave. It was a nice moment.

Dirtsheets:
Our top story tonight, Wrestlezone reports that John Cena and Adam Rose were reportedly injured during the WWE house show in Madison last night. The site notes that Rose suffered a cut over his right eye during his match with Heath Slater, which was wide enough that it brought out trainers to clean up the blood and fix him up before the match finished.
Cena's injury sounds more potentially serious. Per the site, Cena "suffered a pretty severe blow to the head" during his match with Bray Wyatt. The ref threw up the signal, causing two trainers to come out and check on him for several minutes. Cena worked the rest of the No Holds Barred match, which involved several foreign objects and was physical, and then left straight to the back after te show without the usual celebration with the live crowd.
With Daniel Bryan also flirting with needing to take serious time off, >tfw no Main Event faces could soon be a very serious issue in the WWE
Jim Ross' hospitalization on Thursday night that lasted over the weekend were reportedly due to stroke-like symptoms. TMZ reports that Ross was feeling symptoms similar to a stroke on Thursday after he got him from his trip to Las Vegas and that (as previously reported) his wife made him go to a hospital.
Doctors ran tests on Ross that revealed he had suffered a minor undiagnosed stroke sometime in the past. The current symptoms were being caused by medication he was taking for an unrelated medical issue. His meds have been changed out and the problem is believed to be completely resolved.

At least two casting agencies sent out notices this weekend for a WWE project that takes place next Monday, June 16th. It did not list a location but next week's RAW takes place from Cleveland and we know at least one of the agencies is based in California.
The name of the project is "WWE Orchestra" and WWE is looking for 14 total males and females of any ethnicity to appear in an orchestra. They will be wearing Sting face-paint and not actually playing their instruments as music will be dubbed in, according to the notice. The pay for the gig is $650 plus an agency fee.
The listing for the orchestra stand-ins reads like this:
"Orchestra musicians with own instruments Principal Male or Female / 18 to 70 / All Ethnicities Looking for an orchestra of 14 musicians, all with own instruments - ideally a full orchestra who play together regularly. They will be "fake" playing in the promo, music will be dubbed in. All will be wearing the face paint that Sting is known for. Must be OK with heavy face makeup. Any leads on full orchestras who would love to make some money, would be awesome!! Open to all ages (over 18) and for the most part, people will be unrecognizable."
The listing for the Sting body double reads like this:
"Body double for STING Photo Double Male / 38 to 50 / Caucasian, Ethnically Ambiguous, Hispanic, Mixed, Multi-Ethnic 6'2, 250lb of pure muscle. Prefer a guy with wrestling experience, very fit. HEAVILY muscular. Slightly longer dark hair. Will have a full face of make up on. paying a higher rate as we need a GREAT double for this."

I recently realized that Hornswaggle isn't the worst thing to happen to an over gimmick since Dink.
The reason I say that is because Dink wasn't put over Skip, Rad Radford, and Hakushi after Doink (every version up to that point) left. He wasn't put in major storylines, either.

Dirtsheets (All from F4W):
WWE camera crews were told to shoot far away with no close-up shots when they had to shoot John Cena during last night's RAW. This is because of Cena's eye, which was still swollen on Monday but not nearly as bad as it was on Sunday. This isn't the first time Cena has had a facial injury and WWE went out of their way to keep it off TV.
There are no plans for Brad Maddox to return to WWE TV yet. The former RAW General Manager was tweeting about taking a vacation and getting out of the country.
We noted before that WWE was considering a second Money In the Bank ladder match for the MITB pay-per-view on June 29th. Apparently they were looking at announcing the second ladder match on last night's RAW but obviously didn't. Word is that the second ladder match, which will be for a future title shot, will feature up and coming talents while the top Superstars will be in the main ladder match that's for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Title
As we first reported last month, WWE is working on a new "Macho Man" Randy Savage DVD that will feature a documentary on Savage's career. Cincinnati Reds announcer Marty Brenneman mentioned last night that he was recently interviewed by WWE for the project.
Ric Flair may be brought back to WWE TV at next week's show with The Miz, since it's in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. As noted, the latest word was that WWE was putting Flair with The Miz when he returns
Word coming out of RAW is that both Bray Wyatt and John Cena will be in the Money In the Bank Ladder Match that's for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at this month's pay-per-view.

Its 2 heels (del Rio and Orton) 2 faces (Cena and Sheamus) and 2 tweeners ( bray and Cesaro)
Trying to figure out the 7th man. I'd almost bet HHH would pit Ambrose against Reigns to drive a wedge between them.
Also, who would be in an up and coming contract match? Bo Dallas, Rusev, Big E...would they call up another NXTer ?

Kind of think that all the guys who have failed to qualify would make a great secondary Ladder Match for the PPV. Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett vs. Rob Van Dam is a good start. I've got a feeling that John Cena and Bray Wyatt will qualify for the Ladder Match, so that would mean that they'd logically be another face and another heel for the match. Then there's another person to qualify, and that could be anyone else. It'd make sense to announce that match after everyone has qualified as a "but wait, all is not lost for you guys" moment.
Mr. Nerfect
06-11-2014, 05:57 AM

He's almost the opposite of RVD. Van Dam is a compotent promo, but quite shitty at delivering movie lines. Miz is a better actor and interview than he is as a wrestling persona.
But part of of the problem with Miz is being in unnatural and forced positions. He always comes off as annoying as a face, but he is an excellent douchebag asshole heel. He also seems to be better when someone is there to compliment and/or play off of him- such as JoMo, R-Truth, or his "adversarial" on-camera relationship with Maryse (I love they did that as opposed to just being a couple onscreen like DB or pretending the other person doesn't exist like Cena.)

<font color=goldenrod>I'm fine with The Miz in his current position. Namely, off television. I haven't really been able to bring myself about anything he's done since Awesome Truth ended. Putting him with Flair would just feel more forced than he's already been before.
He's a good ambassador for the company and will do all kinds of news conferences and media appearances. Let him keep doing that. Keeps him employed, stays mostly busy, and on the weeks he doesn't have any media appearances it just means he'll have more time to enjoy Maryse's vagina. I'd think he'd be okay with that.</font>

That Emma wasn't with Santino Marella on RAW either gives me hope that the WWE has decided to stop trying and force that awkward pairing because it is doing nothing for Emma...or that they are just going to can Emma. :(
They are still together according to the dirtsheets.
Emma was not on RAW this week because she's currently in her native Australia doing promotional work for WWE for the tour there later this year.
Rest of the dirtsheets:
Daniel Bryan has been removed from WWE's July 12th Madison Square Garden live event and Ric Flair has been added. Triple H was scheduled to face Bryan in a Street Fight but will still be appearing. As of now, this is Flair's first scheduled WWE appearance after passing his medical testing to return as a regular performer.
Dave Meltzer stated on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Daniel Bryan is still scheduled to be in the WWE Championship picture when he is able to return and that the "long term destination is still what the old destination was." Meltzer said that the long term plan is still for Bryan to be the champion later this year, and that those were the plans as of yesterday. It was noted that if Bryan is not able to return by SummerSlam, then a lot of plans will change. It was also noted during the episode that Bryan is being groomed for a program with Brock Lesnar.
We noted before that a casting call was recently put out for a "WWE Orchestra" video that would feature stand-in musicians and a body double for Sting. It was later reported that this is not a direct WWE project but is something that's being done by an agency that works with WWE licenses and that it was being done for his upcoming DVD and other future projects. Apparently the outside company that issued the casting call didn't expect that it would be such a big deal on the internet among fans. WWE officials were very upset that this got out because they don't have Sting signed to a contract yet.
We noted before that there are several people within WWE who believe that Bray Wyatt will be a full-on babyface before the end of this year. The Wrestling Observer noted that it was said by some people close to the business that Wyatt was already a babyface because of how he mentions the city they're in when he comes out and because of how he engages the fans with the singing. WWE's mentality is that they are just looking to get Wyatt over. WWE never intended for fans to sing along when Wyatt sings "The Whole World In His Hands" and they never intended for it to be a babyface spot. However, it's become a trademark for Wyatt so they aren't looking to take it away from him just to make him more of a heel.

Dirtsheets (All from Observer):
Since a lot of people have asked about this related to Mysterio and last week’s issue, all standard WWE contracts are written with the clause that the company can extend the contract based on the wrestlers not performing for an extended period of time due to an injury. So WWE doing the automatic renewal of his expiring contract is something specifically mentioned in his deal and in all standard deals.
The ring outfit of Rollins is a point of discussion right now. As part of current plans this week, Rollins is not going to be a member of Evolution, and there are no plans for a third new member of The Shield.
Adam Rose being off Raw this week is an indication already that they are cooling off on the character. Vince McMahon, who makes all the key choices, isn’t the easiest one to get to accept new people as main players. He’s said not to be completely sold on any of the recent characters. Bo Dallas’ push is still continuing on almost every show. Kevin Dunn apparently buried Rose and Vince isn’t sold on him either. That’s why Paige has the title but little character developmental has been done her. Dunn right now is a huge proponent of Fox, so her gimmick will continue to be featured.
Lots of rumors of long-term plans of a physical Hall of Fame and wrestling museum as WWE has gone to a lot of historians and made some good money offers for memorabilia. Vince McMahon has never had interest in this, but Paul Levesque seems to be the point guy on this idea.
The talk this week was of fast tracking Kalisto to the main roster by the end of the year. The company feels the need to have a Latino babyface star and they’ve clearly given up on Sin Cara and Los Matadores as anything more than prelim level.
As I suspected last week, the Tyson Kidd as a masked man thing is looking less likely. It now looks like he’s going to go heel.

Instead of having a new gimmick debut and "cooling off" on them within a month, Vince should probably just... ya know... watch NXT.
Seriously, just fucking have some writers who specifically take care of the midcard scene. The reason it's been shit for years is because no one is gaining any momentum because they all get pushed for a month, de-pushed, then expected to be taken seriously again for a month, then forgotten and de-pushed again, and so on. It's not that hard to fix. It's just an issue of laziness.

Weren't the live crowds singing along with his music and somewhat digging him? I don't get what the fucking point of all of this is. It's certainly not helping their roster. They're so short on ready main eventers, it's kind of sad.

06-12-2014, 11:58 PM
And that's exactly why. If they had actually put effort into keeping midcarders relevant by giving them shit to do to keep people interested instead of seemingly spending 5 minutes a week saying "Okay, this guy's gonna face this guy and this guy's gonna win because we're pushing him this month. Booking done." then there would be a ton of guys ready to move up the card. Instead they've gotta depend on bringing in guys and instantly trying to make them main eventers because the rest of the roster has been made to look too inconsistent to buy into as a star.

That's the main thing I liked about TNA a few years ago, that even if it was pretty inexplicable a lot of the time, mostly everyone on the show had a character and was doing something.
No one in the mid-card in WWE really gets microphone time, which means most feuds are people just wrestling in continual matches and trading winds and losses. That makes it real hard to develop and get peopled invested when you're coming out and winning and losing on alternating weeks in three minute matches.

All of this, and the fact that they "like the look" of somebody like Ryback, and then want him to instantly go from being fed jobbers to jumping to the top of the card in the span of eight weeks (as opposed to climbing up the card gradually) and wondering why people don't buy him as a main event talent, then just giving up on him.
Its like they get bored with ideas quicker than the fans do. They don't let people get behind anyone anymore. Most of the time, their thought process seems to be if the person isn't somehow over instantly, it isn't worth doing.

Rollin's should take the dye out of the blonde part of his hair and switch to wearing trunks/tights. Maybe tights. You rarely see tights these days in the Main Event scene.

Like screech said: Good. I don't like Adam Rose either. He has to be the most irritating gimmick on the roster right now, with Bo Dallas coming in a very close second, but with Bo, I think that's the point. If it's true, then I'm much like Vince right now, in that I'm not completely sold on any of the recent characters either.
And speaking of gimmicks/character development and seeing Paige's name there, what's with her? I've read so much about her having this Anti-Diva gimmick on NXT but it's nowhere to be found on the main roster. From what I've seen so far, she has no gimmick. She's nothing. The only thing she has going for her is that she's 21 and from England. Every time she's on TV, we hear Cole saying "The 21 year old from Norwich, England". That's it. There's nothing else to her other than her age and birthplace. She's quite boring and it makes me wonder why she's still Divas Champion when they have other Divas, most with actual characters/gimmicks, doing pretty much nothing, when they could be champion or chasing the title.
It seems like only one Diva can go after the title at a time. More should be chasing the title. In a division that has only one available title, almost every Diva should be chasing it. Not just one out of twelve. If they are in the WWE and they're not interested in getting the championship, then why are they there?
Maybe if Paige had more than just one person go after her title each month, it would make her a little more interesting and give her more to do, rather than having one Diva annoy her for a few weeks, have one match on PPV for the title where she gets her ass handed to her but still manages to retain, then back to square one to repeat it with someone else. Dunn knows what up though. Hopefully Alicia becomes Divas Champion at MITB and continues on with her extremely entertaining gimmick. Also, it would give Paige something to do. The title chase.
The talk this week was of fast tracking Kalisto to the main roster by the end of the year. The company feels the need to have a Latino babyface star and they’ve clearly given up on Sin Cara and Los Matadores as anything more than prelim level.
It's a shame they've given up on Sin Cara. I say that not for the gimmick, but for the man. What I'm really saying is "It's a shame they've given up on Hunico".
If they have given up on Sin Cara, then why not just end the gimmick and revert Hunico back to his previous gimmick. That was a good gimmick for him and it would also put an end to those awful "mood lights" during Sin Cara matches. Hunico is great, and seeing him hidden under a mask and pretty much being forgotten about just sucks.

Dirtsheets:
At one point, WWE officials did talk about making Dean Ambrose turn on The Shield before. While the Seth Rollins turn was a late decision, it's said that it wasn't an Ambrose turn changed into a Rollins turn.
Based on the success of Warrior Week on the WWE Network, the company is looking at doing a number of "themed-weeks" in the future. WWE Network recently sent out a survey to fans seeking feedback on "themed-weeks" for CM Punk, Steve Austin, The Rock, Randy Savage, The Hardys, The Authority, The Kliq, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Sting, Lex Luger, Christian and Alberto Del Rio.
Chris Jericho announced on Twitter that WWE Superstar and former Tag Team partner Christian will be on his Talk is Jericho podcast very soon.
As noted earlier, WWE released 11 talents today - Teddy Long, referee Marc Harris, Evan Bourne, JTG, Brodus Clay, Curt Hawkins, Aksana, Yoshi Tatsu, Camacho, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre. Regarding Tatsu, there had been a feeling for some time that he had really regressed in the ring. It's said that Brodus Clay fell out of favor with WWE creative. Long's contract expired and it was well known within WWE that he would be leaving soon. Out of all 11 releases, the releases of Camacho and Hawkins came as the bigger surprises to people within WWE. Camacho was very popular within NXT circles and Hawkins had several more years left on his current deal
Word is that Mark Carrano, who has been featured on Total Divas and works in Talent Relations under Triple H, is the person who made most, if not all, of the WWE releases today by phone. There is a lot of talk among people in WWE that the cuts are not done and that there will be more releases on the administrative side of the company, possibly as soon as tomorrow. It's said that the success, or lack thereof, of the WWE Network is what is causing the talent cuts and the potential office cuts.
