Just thinking what could have been if they existed in another era and how it's now too late to fix it even if things were to suddenly get really good again. Same booking, same characters, same basic paint-by-numbers personality, same pre-written, generic, emotionless promos across the board. Just wasted careers all over the place.

Just throwing two guys who aren't massively over in the main event of WrestleMania doesn't suddenly make them stars. It's backwards. The work has to be done the other 11 months out of the year. They fail on that front, so bringing in someone who's massively over to main event WrestleMania is the only way to go.

Seems WWE is still worried about Jason Jordan's neck injury to the point they are starting to groom him for a possible backstage role instead. Same for Matt Hardy now that his current injury situation changed for the worse.

The situation with Matt Hardy and his injuries has changed again in the past week. The Greensboro Raw match with The B Team vs. Hardy & Wyatt vs. The Revival was done as the blow-off of the Hardy & Wyatt tag team. Hardy is taking time off due to the injuries described last week. There is talk of him shadowing producers which is basically learning the ropes there with the possibility of that being his future. Jason Jordan has been doing the same thing of late since he has had issues coming off his neck surgery. Hardy will be undergoing treatment for his different injuries and after he goes through that process, a decision will be made as far as whether he can return and in what type of a schedule or capacity

I don't know why they don't use Christian in an active speaking role in the company. Always wanted to hear him as a color commentator after hearing him trade barbs with JBL. But I guess being a manager or hosting a talking segment he'd probably overshadow too many guys.

This little conspiracy theory I got running in my head for a while may just pan out.

I honestly think Vince McMahon and Dana White got some sort of super secret/quiet agreement in place that Brock Lesnar is gonna go to UFC as WWE Universal Champion.

Braun winning MITB is more-or-less a "break glass in case of emergency" type thing if Roman wins and things go sideways fast. But I don't think the fans will like Braun cashing in and losing to Lesnar……...again.

Of course, this all depends on Lesnar sticking around with WWE. I think his deal is over sometime after Summerslam. Unless I missed the tidbit that the re-signed.

Just a heads up that my post contains some NXT TakeOver spoilers from last night.

Anyway, with Shayna Baszler losing the title last night and with Trish Stratus being announced to face Bliss, I get the feeling that Bliss will retain at SummerSlam and Baszler will debut on the main roster either tonight or tomorrow on Raw.

I've noticed a bit of a trend recently with NXT Champions and SummerSlam or WrestleMania. The champions seem to debut on the main roster not long after losing their championship before either SummerSlam or WrestleMania.

It happened with Almas, Roode, Ember Moon and it sort of happened with Nakamura and Bayley but they debuted on the main roster after they lost their rematch, which wasn't that long after they lost their titles, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Baszler turn up really soon.

To me, I don't see why Bliss vs Stratus would happen if their wasn't a reason to watch. If Bliss loses to Rousey tonight, then the match at Evolution would just be "Bliss vs Stratus" and that's it. However, if Bliss retains, the WWE would hype it up as "The five-time and current Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss vs The seven-time Women's Champions, WWE Hall of Famer and one of the best female superstars of all-time, Trish Stratus".

It would be seen as "The Past vs The Future". It would give people more of a reason to watch than if it was just "Bliss vs Stratus".

So with that, and Baszler losing last night, I can see Baszler playing a roll in Bliss retaining, which would mean we would get a Rousey/Baszler feud because of it and Bliss still champion and hyping up her match was Stratus.

So I found out today that Tri.Moon, the guy who makes a lot of wrestling related gifs and videos for the IWC passed away on Thursday.

He was only 25 or 26.

Nobody is really clear on how he passed away as some are saying it was due to a long illness, some are saying it was suicide and some are saying it was suicide because of his long illness (I'm guessing the illness was a terminal one).

So according to Matt Riddle's wife, Matt got his much-anticipated contract offer from New Japan and fully intended on signing it. He had to first notify Gabe Sapolsky, and after that Triple H then called him pretty much immediately to offer him a deal.

EVOLVE are on good terms with WWE of course, so it's no real surprise that Gabe wanted to give them a heads up. But this does paint a picture that his signing was more about keeping him away from the expanding NJPW than it was genuine interest in Matt.

Just like with their rumored interest and Pentagon and Fenix, they already have more toys than they know what to do with but would rather keep them all than let anyone else have them.

On one hand, this is good because multi-man matches are way overdone and 1-on-1 matches generally help tell a better story. On the other hand...

New Japan have it pretty much spot on. 90% of their regular cards are tag matches with maybe one or two singles matches at the top of the card that feel way more important because they're being properly featured. But the tags aren't a waste of time - they actually advance the story in a way that doesn't give away anything about singles match they're building to.

A perfect example from last year - they were building towards Okada defending his title against EVIL. 10 man tag, Chaos vs. LIJ. Gedo and Naito were the legal men. EVIL hits Okada with Everything Is Evil at the same time Naito hit Tranquilo on Gedo. EVIL puts his foot on Okada's chest while Naito pins Gedo for the win.

So they just showed EVIL can hit his finish from OUTTA NOWHERE and leave Okada knocked out for a 3 count, but didn't have their champion actually eat a clean pin against his upcoming opponent...something WWE does regularly.

Because that is too few women with huge titties, preferably fake, and way too much wrestling for a wrestling show. According to PWI, WWE has been aggressive in their targeting of Major League Wrestling trying to poach as many notable talent and backstage staff as possible.

Wale's appearance at 205 Live last night was part of those plans and likely means the end of MLW's Walemania events during Mania week.

With hip hop star Wale appearing on last night's edition of 205 Live, we've gotten several emails about what that means for Major League Wrestling, which Wale has been associated with for a number of years.

We are told that of late, WWE has made overtures to talents and behind the scenes staffers who have been working for MLW, which airs nationally on BeIN Sports, in attempts to bring them in. Wale being used last night wasn't a coincidence and was seen as an extention of those efforts.

While everything is still up in the air, the odds of MLW running another Walemania event over Wrestlemania weekend (which was the plan for next year in New York City) are not looking good at the moment.

Pretty much because of cost related reasons. They already do limited touring with NXT's main roster and those preparing to be TV ready but costs would skyrocket if they went full time with touring.

It's possible that it somehow makes everything better. It's probably more likely that it fucks everything up for Vince. When Vince wants a guy in position, he can get very stubborn about it. He's always wanted Hulk Hogan back and in the spot. It's possible that he doesn't go anywhere near where he should with Austin, and that everything melts down. Austin might never get as hot as he did, and he might have lost the fire to be the best and actually settled as his own "what if" in wrestling's history.

What if Austin gets pissed off at Michaels and Hogan taking up the spotlight? What if he goes back to WCW. What if Bischoff sees the money in Austin coming in and beating the living piss out of him every week? I have conflicting emotions about both women. Alexa, who overcame her eating disorder, became a body builder and eventually made her way to NXT. Sasha, a lifelong fan of the business, has also overcome adversity (physical and family) to reach where she is. Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks have been linked for many years in their careers. Both ladies were stable mates in the BFF faction with Summer Rae. Following the split, Banks and Flair continued to thrive on their own as they climbed the ladder in NXT. Charlotte got to the top first when becoming NXT Women’s Champion defeating Natalya in a classic match to truly launch her career.

Banks feuded with Charlotte and made it personal in promos. Some of the content implied that the Flair last name is why Charlotte was a success rather than her own talent. Sasha even placed a sticker over Charlotte’s t-shirt to make it her own. This upset Charlotte behind the scenes as she felt Banks was being a bad friend to her with the surprise attacks on the microphone and in the wardrobe department.

Flair even wrote about it in her book saying she felt betrayed and implied that Sasha was jealous of her success. The two eventually made peace as part of the unofficial Four Horsewomen group. Charlotte and Banks shared many historic matches like the first women’s PPV main event, Hell in a Cell and a few other accolades. There is a mutual respect today after their prior instance of heat.

I see why you guys would think Sasha is tough to be around backstage. But I see her point on Charlotte and Bliss completely. Sasha is the boss, she can out work any woman in the company and truly worked her way to the top only to be set aside for new toys. Charlotte had it made for her, the fact she is who she is, is why she is where she is. Not to take away from her talent because she is a damn good wrestler one of the best in the company, but she didn't have to dig nearly as deep as other girls who didn't have a golden last name handed to them on a championship plate. I do have to say though that being gifted the last name Flair would be a curse on about anyone else and Charlotte had to match that name and has greatly exceeded expectations. I'd become her boyfriend eventually and try to make things okay. Because I'd care about her feelings, even though she seems to live in her own drama, it's one based off a true story.

I see why you guys would think Sasha is tough to be around backstage. But I see her point on Charlotte and Bliss completely. Sasha is the boss, she can out work any woman in the company and truly worked her way to the top only to be set aside for new toys. Charlotte had it made for her, the fact she is who she is, is why she is where she is. Not to take away from her talent because she is a damn good wrestler one of the best in the company, but she didn't have to dig nearly as deep as other girls who didn't have a golden last name handed to them on a championship plate. This is very true, I feel bad for Naomi, Becks, Sasha, Ember and Asuka in that regard, very much.

Bliss and Nia can "blow-off" their issues at the PPV. The Bellas vs. The Iconics. Shayna calls out Nattie for her best friend bullshit with Ronda. Ember and Ruby Riott. You've got 7 matches right there. Do Kairi Sane vs. Io Shirai in a dream match for the NXT title, MYC Winner vs. MYC Winner. Get the rest of your babyfaces and maybe throw in some NXT girls and Toni Storm and do a multi-person tag to kick things off. Why do they always make things hard for themselves?

A lot of WTF stuff going on in this Lucha deathmatch.

Like one guy doing a moonsault while holding a light tube and missing his opponent. Or that big clown guy who went right through a series of chairs. Or that other guy who got nailed in the back with a light tube tucked into his shirt. Or that other guy who dove right into a light tube. Or that fan in the front row that got messed up from light tube shards.
