I always liked the matches Regal had with Finlay. They had this different vibe from what you normally saw*. Not even the most heated blood feuds or "extreme" matches that I recall were this downright vicious. This isn't even the "Grit Your Teeth!" match from Uncensored, but it is referenced quite a bit in the match.

A lot of these shows are definatley piggy backing off of the success of the Joey Janela spring break shows, but a few of them are offering some pretty cool matches. The Frank Mir-Dan Severn one is taking place at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport which has more of a focus on catch/shoot/mma style wrestling and features guys with mma, amateur wrestling, etc. backgrounds so that one makes sense.

Between them sharing costs for venues and the talent pool of notable names, it makes sense for the same guys to appear on multiple shows and wacky matchups to be possible. Last year it was Matt Riddle who had the most bookings I think.

They had a street fight on MLW a few months ago that was the shit. They pretty much go huevos out every time,which makes the matches great.

So0ooooooo many good matches scheduled for the Lucha Bros (hey STD, they're luchadors and they also happen to be brothers, I don't want to have to explain this to you again). Anything vs. LAX is bound to be a banger, plus Lucha Bros vs RVD and Sabu should be interesting / fun as hell. Thennnnn there's Penta/Muta/Tajiri which should be cool too.

Everybody in the group got decent reactions, but it was like CM Punk in Chicago stark (comparitvely for the size of an ROH crowd - preemptive strike on an "outpopped DX" joke). Should I be catching up on this guy?

If you love the high flying style stuff then you probably should. Feel like he's one of the top flyers coming in to the US from Mexico. Besides the 3 in the match, Rey Horus does some unreal stuff, Drago is just as solid as a dragon that wrestles can be, Aerostar throws himself from crazy high places and King Cuerno /Hijo de Fantasma is very good as well.

Seems WWE finally realized it was a bad idea to rush Renee Young into commentary since the new plan for her is to talk a lot less from now on.

Was revealed in a recent episode of Renee Young's Regular Girls podcast show.

"So I’ve been working each week — I work with Tom Phillips, this week I worked with Vic Joseph — but we’ll go back and watch [and] listen to my commentary on Raw or on a pay-per-view or whatever and like, dissect it. They’ll give me pointers, et cetera, et cetera, and it’s extremely beneficial to me. But yeah, that was kinda the note where they’re like “You don’t have to talk as much as you think you need to talk. Maybe just sit back and listen a little bit.” I was like, “Okay.” And that’s like, really no easy task for me. I’m so used to being like, the talker. And keeping the ball afloat. So when I don’t have that ball, to keep it afloat, I think that’s an uncomfortable spot for me and then I end up, just like … diarrhea of the mouth because I don’t have a firm grasp on what’s happening."

I'd blame WWE's mandate on wanting 3-man teams for almost all of their shows and them being terrible at making historical or big PR moments feel genuine.

She does have actual broadcasting experience and has been better than a few others who have been the 3rd person in a WWE booth. She pretty much also got picked because its slim pickings on those with actual experience in WWE and Michael Cole hand picking those to be groomed as potential successors.

When he returned at the end of 97 again The Undertaker at In Your House DX, that was the time to do something bigger. I remember hearing Jarrett was returning there I think in a WWF magazine and I was pumped. But they gave a bullshit finish and no program ever started.

The grudge against Jarrett himself was due to several reasons. In Memphis, Austin held animosity towards Jarrett for the special treatment he got and Jarrett supposedly mocked Austin's pay at least on one occasion. In WWF, Austin was furious at a shoot promo from Jarrett where he verbally trashed the Stone Cold gimmick.

Its why whatever big plans WWF had for Jarrett got quickly dropped and when those plans resumed in 1999, Austin remembered Jarrett's attempt to wreck his gimmick so he returned the favor by wrecking Jarrett's chance at a big push.

Its why whatever big plans WWF had for Jarrett got quickly dropped and when those plans resumed in 1999, Austin remembered Jarrett's attempt to wreck his gimmick so he returned the favor by wrecking Jarrett's chance at a big push.

Big Show then told the story of The Undertaker sending him a picture of his balls after a match they had. Show said that he and Taker did not see each other for nearly a month after the picture was sent and when they did finally see each other, it was nothing but laughs and a good time.
