Given the payoffs for the first PPVs after WrestleMania with the new formula are in (Extreme Rules and King of the Ring), the payoffs were described to me as “really bad,” which says that talent is getting paid based on PPV revenue and getting nothing extra from all the PPV revenue that has been eliminated based on starting the network. There are a few people who are being taken care of and a few who have deals in place that guard against this happening to them, but rank and file, that’s not the case.

Wouldn't be surprised if another "rebellion" occurs backstage. Last time it was due to weak touring payouts even though the WWE was making good to great money on those tours.

Happened around 2 years ago when the WWE started to slash bonuses for wrestlers with that year's Mania bonus I think and tours being hit the most. Only a few wrestlers were not affected due to their deals and their status.

The breaking point ended up being a Brazil tour that did really well and yet the WWE still lowered the payouts to the wrestlers. A few either went public or were feeding the dirtsheets leading to the WWE punishing some of them (either no tv time or punishment squashes with Santino being one who got punished).

Shortly after the Brazil tour, the WWE raised the payouts to please the wrestlers and prevent it from becoming an even more serious problem.

Just listened to the TLP podcast and realised that 3 of the last 4 WWE shows have ended with a DQ in the Main Event.

Raw (9/22) Orton vs. Cena ended in a DQ.
SmackDown (9/26) Big Show vs. Rusev ended in a DQ.
Raw (9/29) Orton/Kane vs. Ambrose/Cena ended in a DQ.
Main Event (9/30) Bo Dallas vs. Mark Henry ended in a DQ.

ME (9/23) was headlined by a Miz TV segment.

If that's not WWE saying "Hey, you can turn your TV off now, there's nothing of importance to see here", I don't know what is.

I haven't been able to get into it as much as I usually do. I honestly have not watched RAW since Summerslam, or at least not more than 30 minutes of one.

From the little that I have viewed, Cesaro is the fucking man as of late. Don't get me wrong,I was always behind Cesaro and thought he is a tremendous talent, but lately he is beginning to creep up to my #2 spot, behind Ambrose. They need to do something with Cesaro to keep him relevant. Not necessarily inject him into the "main event", but maybe have him feud with some big names or some shit. His match with Sheamus was great, but I feel like Sheamus has "fallen off" and no one gives a shit about him anymore.

WCW also tanked. However, I feel like a PPV main event should never end in a DQ/No contest, whatever. Cena should have had his ass beat again to put over Lesnar even more, if that is even possible. Also feel that HIAC should be the last Cena v Lesnar match with Lesnar going over yet again and calling the "next man up" if you will.

It was said this past week that even if WWE decides not to do John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose on RAW with the winner facing Seth Rollins at Hell In a Cell, they will definitely be doing a Cena vs. Ambrose feud eventually, according to PWInsider. We noted yesterday that the Cena vs. Ambrose match may actually happen as the Hell In a Cell opener, instead of RAW.

There have been talks of having Triple H's new "stooges" Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury wrestle a match.

TNA and Global Force Wrestling have been in talks with the same TV networks, because very few networks are interested in picking up pro wrestling. TNA actually has the upper-hand over GFW as they are operational, have some history and have stars under contract. Spike TV not renewing TNA may have changed the landscape of the business by making it a lot harder for GFW to get a TV deal. Another issue with TNA's potential network talks is that most of the stations they are rumored to be talking with don't air in Canada. Spike TV airs in most of Canada, which has always been strong for pro wrestling.

As of this writing, Brock Lesnar is not being advertised for any upcoming pay-per-view or RAW events through the end of the year. In the past, Lesnar's other appearances were advertised several months in advanced. So far this year, the current WWE Champion has worked four pay-per-view events which is the most he has worked in a calendar year since returning to the company back in 2012.

With no real program for him and his hefty price tag, it remains to be seen if Lesnar will defend the title before The Royal Rumble in January.

WWE released Nick Disnmore, who had portrayed Eugene when he was on the main roster, from his role as a trainer for WWE developmental today. Dinsmore was hired in September 2013 for the position.

When Ricardo Rodriguez was working alongside Alberto Del Rio in the WWE, he was almost more popular than the man he accompanied to the ring. However, the WWE chose to split the two up and then ended up sending Rodriguez down to NXT. After an injury, they moved him to the Spanish announce team and then finally released him from his WWE contract. In an interview with Busted Open Radio on Friday, Rodriguez said that the WWE made him hate wrestling before he left.

According to Rodriguez, he and Del Rio were at their best when they were teaming up. He said the WWE chose to ignore their ideas and just split them up and then they had nothing left for Rodriguez to do in the company. The WWE went ahead and sent Rodriguez down to NXT, which he said hurt his financial situation because most WWE superstars make their money on the house show tour, which he lost out on in NXT.

He then said that, once he was down wrestling in NXT as a masked wrestler, he was injured by someone he described as “one of their football players.” He said that the injury was because of the inexperienced trainee and the WWE punished Rodriguez for it. Rodriguez said that he was helping cast the extras in the WWE and was doing everything asked of him, and the way the WWE treated him over time made him hate the professional wrestling business. That is when he called the WWE and asked for his release.

Ricardo Rodriguez also told Busted Open Radio that the WWE rumors that Triple H insulted him was true. He said that Triple H called him “bumblebee.” He then said that Triple H used to call Savio Vega and Super Crazy the same name, and it was a derogatory term used to describe a larger sized Latino wrestler doing flips. It just adds to the speculation that there is an undertone of racism when it comes to the WWE and their Latino stars.

Todd Chrisley of USA Network's 'Chrisley Knows Best' to appear on Raw this Monday, Oct. 13

The Authority may think they know what's best for business, but Todd Chrisley from USA Network's "Chrisley Knows Best" original series just might want to challenge that come Raw this Monday.

One night before his self-titled, real-life family comedy kicks off season two on USA, Chrisley will make a special appearance, live on Monday Night Raw in Atlanta.

As we saw on WWE Raw this past week, Bray Wyatt “freed” Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Rumors are circulating that this is the official end of them being members of The Wyatt Family. There have been some discussions of having The Ascension come up and team with Bray Wyatt, but nothing has been confirmed.

As seen on last night's WWE RAW from Brooklyn, The Rock made a surprise return and confronted Rusev. An in-ring segment led to The Rock attacking Rusev and sending him out of the ring. WWE officials did not want Rock to do any more than what he did to Rusev; no Rock Bottom, People's Elbow or anything like that, possibly to keep Rusev strong. The feeling among people backstage at RAW last night that that a match between Rock and Rusev is doubtful but obviously it could be possible for WrestleMania 31 season some time.

Nikki Bella noted in her interview with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg on Monday that when Paige debuted on the main roster and won the WWE Divas Title earlier this year, there were some people backstage that weren't happy. Nikki said some were really, really happy that Paige won but others did not feel the same way. Nikki also confirmed that the Divas Title isn't allowed to be featured on any Total Divas cast members right now. She acknowledged that the timing is an issue because what airs on Total Divas is so far behind what's on RAW. Nikki and Natalya both said they look forward to when the Divas Title and Total Divas can be brought together. Nikki added that she believes WWE officials are working on figuring it out.

WWE Hall of Famer Superstar Billy Graham has been hospitalized again, according to his wife, Valerie, on Facebook. "This is a message from Superstar's wife Valerie. Billy has been admitted to the Mayo Clinic from complications from his previous medical conditions. Not much specific information is known at this time, but this post will be updated soon. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers," she wrote.

Kathie Lee and Hoda discussed their WWE RAW appearance on Today yesterday. They joked about getting booed, and Hoda said that it was "kind of exhilarating." Lee then said that she was against the appearance from the beginning noting that it "did not smell good," but was talked into it. Lee and Hoda then said that they wrote the segment. Lee later talked about being backstage and said that the wrestlers were "the sweetest gentlest giants" and very polite, a big shift from when she ripped the business and "sleazy" wrestlers in her autobiography.
So Creative wasn't to blame for why that Lee-Hoda segment was bad after all.

Wrestle-1 has announced that Alberto Del Rio will be wrestling at their Sumo Hall show on November 1st. This is the Great Muta 30th anniversary show. WWE Raw drew a 2.63 rating last night, below last week's 2.83 and even below the year-low 2.69 rating the week before. It was the lowest rating since Dec. 3, 2012. The only good news is average viewership went up each hour - 3.577 to 3.891 to 3.924. The NFL game drew a typical viewership of 13.2 million, so it wasn't as if the NFL was the reason for the lost viewers. Raw was still no. 2 on cable behind the NFL game. The male 18-49 was at a near rock-bottom level for the show.


Some other stuff included Michael Elgin "quit" announcement was confirmed to be a work by the Observer and SummerSlam's buyrates ended up being lower than initial reports (30k-40k lower).
