So, I finally got around to watching the second half of RAW (I could only see the first half to the show because reasons), and I'm a bit disappointed in the Christian/Sheamus matchup since there were, at one point, 4 chairs in the ring, and NO FREAKIN' ONE MAN CONCHAIRTO!?! WHAT THE SHIT, WWE?!?

Yeah, that was definitely in my podcast notes. Christian, who has used a one-man conchairto on multiple occasions, sees a bunch of chairs and a downed Sheamus, and thinks "aha, I should frog splash onto a couple chairs!"

It wouldn't surprise me if they have taken to writing storylines more reactionary, allowing the crowd to dictate which direction to take the show. Like Rock's heel turn after facing Hogan, that wasn't planned either, but it was the right thing to do.

Both of them act like the "bad guys" and rip apart everybody who isn't a heel... except for one heel who is a "masked Mexican" and so they rip him apart too. Occasionally, though, they will even dig at the heels who they were just praising.

There is one heel in particular who they are both "in love" with... we taped three shows yesterday... and the "story" was that he was kept off the first show... so they kept incessantly talking about him for two whole episodes... and then when he finally had a match they pretty much ignored him and just started making jabs and jokes and "innuendo" about his female valet.

Worst thing they did was the big title match... that they have been building towards for three shows... it is going on... and they are freaking ignoring it. Talking about other sports, talking about themselves as usual.... saying things like "Ahahaha! Look at that grom in the crowd, he can't even spell! We need to get a shot of his sign! Can we get a shot of his sign?! [Calls out camera guy by name, who can't hear him], can you spin around and get a shot of that sign?! We need to get a shot of that!"

No. We do not. How about you talk about the major title match going on in the ring right now? With the heel that you have been cheering for for three shows to take the belt? Look at your monitor and talk about what is on the screen, and don't just look around at the crowd.

It was just terrible.

I was meaning to post about this sooner but when I was flying to Louisiana in February, I was in the Knoxville McGhee Tyson airport and I actually ran into Kane. It was interesting seeing him in the airport, at first I was like is that Kane and then I looked again and he was in his business suit and was carrying a WWE drawstring bag. Former world junior heavyweight champion Lorenzo Parente passes away


Lorenzo Parente, a star in the 60s and early 70s in a number of Southern territories, passed away yesterday at the age of 78.

Parente's funeral will be Tuedsay at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church in Brentwood, TN.

Parente was best known in wrestling as being one of the leading rivals of Danny Hodge, the perennial world juinor heavyweight champion He captured the title twice, once in 1965 and a second time in 1966.

Parente formed a tag team with Bobby Hart for a number of years after that, before retiring in the mid-70s, and owning Lorenzo's Italian Restaurant in Nashville.

Zeb Colter continues to tweet about The Real Americans getting a WWE Tag Team Title shot at WrestleMania XXX after their non-title win over The Usos last night. While Cesaro was previously announced for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on a German RAW broadcast, he's likely being removed from the match and put into a tag team title match.


Talk at RAW was that Hulk Hogan or Roddy Piper, likely Hogan, will be inducting Mr. T into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

For what it's worth, it was noted on last night's RAW that the winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX will carry the Andre statue for the next year. It's possible they do the match annually.

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal is indeed scheduled for the main WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view, not the pre-show.

Regarding the story that came out last night about JBL possibly being behind the @CrankyVince Twitter account, someone within WWE does not believe JBL is behind it but feels that it's maybe two or three people, some who may not even be in the company right now.

The Season 2 premiere of WWE Total Divas drew 1,072,000 viewers, which is one of the lowest numbers that a first run episode of the show has ever done. As noted, it failed to rank in the top 100 cable shows for the adult 18-49 demographic.

TV By the Numbers reports that last night's episode of WWE Monday Night RAW averaged 4.075 million viewers, down 7% from last week's 4.368 million viewers. While it was the most-watched show on cable for the night, it also drew the lowest audience for any show this year. The first hour averaged 4.001 million viewers, before rising to 4.174 million viewers in the second. The audience dipped in the final hour to 4.051 million viewers.

So Bo Dallas apparently wrote a letter to the WWE (or NXT I guess) Universe. In it he talks about how heartbroken he was about loosing his title, and how sorry he is to his Bo-lievers. From what I understand he's supposed to be a heel or something (don't watch NXT) and that fact has made his letter one of the most hilarious things I think I've ever read.

I've noticed that around here people seem to have that opinion, but most of the "IWC" seems to still be hating on the little bastard. I can't tell you how many times I've read "Just fire Bo Dallas" or "He's total shit and needs to die". And all of that has been in like the last few weeks.

Honestly I think it'd be hilarious to see him come up to the main roster and somehow pull off an underdog win against a top face only for it to go to his head and end with him feuding with countless fan favorites where he thinks he's the face and they're the heel.

* Blackman’s Bounties: Former WWE star and legit badass Steve Blackman reality series following his bounty hunting team based out of Harrisburg, PA. Think Dog the Bounty Hunter.

* NXT: Behind the Scenes: A reality series following the talents trying to make it out of the Performance Center and to the main roster, looking at their work, their personal lives and the fraternity of the NXT brand, including the heartbreak of being cut. So, it’s Tough Enough-esque.

* Pros vs. Joes: Pretty much the same as the old SpikeTV series, pitting WWE talents against an average person in physical and non physical challenges. The non physical challenges listed included an air guitar competition. The physical challenges were described as similar to American Gladiators.

* WWE Around the World: Following WWE talents taking part in some of the scariest stunts and attractions around the world, such as shark diving and eating strange foods. It read as if it was modeled after some of the Travel Channel’s “Extreme” specials with a dash of Anthony Bordain’s No Reservations.

* WWE Dirty Jobs: Just like the Discovery Channel reality series of the same name, WWE talents have to perform unpleasant jobs, including going into Chicago sewers and picking up garbage in NYC.

* WWE Prankdown: A practical joke show that features WWE talents pulling tricks on unsuspecting “Superfans.” The example given was John Cena and Randy Orton both wanting to buy an expensive car and getting into a fight at the dealership, only to show the damage they caused was part of the show to trick the fan.

* WWE Rescue: A reality show where WWE talents come to the homes of “super fans” help them with their personal and business problems. Think Restaurant Impossible meets Nanny 911.

* WWE Ultimate Challenge: WWE’s version of CBS’ Amazing Race with a 12 hour extreme scavenger hunt in different cities.

I remember looking through a catalogue a few months ago and I came to the WWE Toys page and I saw a Slam City set and "The Finisher" was the figure that was included with the set but the item description didn't provide a name for the character. I saw it and thought "Who the hell is that?" At first I thought it was a very shoddy attempt at Kane, then I though that maybe it would be Kane's new attire, as he had just recently joined The Authority at that time.

Urgh, that show looks horrible and scripted. Probably worth a watch once to see what Blackman is getting up to, but overall looks shitty and fake.
